Ice
I was in desperate need of a miracle. The ship was sinking quicker and I still couldn't find Ash. Out of the many people bumping into me she wasn't one of them. I heard my name being called by a feminine voice over and over again. Ash came running to me. I caught her in my arms and hugged her tight. I couldn't let her go again after this. "We have to go." She said with a shakey voice.
"Yes. The Titanic won't last forever." I said about to pull her along.
"You don't understand! The man that I went with is actually one of Xaviar's androids. He was sent to kill you and the Doctor through me and Gale and get us back to his ship. He's not going to stop following us." I started to panic. The android could be with the Doctor now and I was on the other side of the ship. I grabbed Ash's hand and started pushing past people to find the TARDIS.
Obviously it wouldn't be an adventure with the Doctor without something going wrong. Just as we were getting closer there was an explosion and the ship snapped in half. We were on the surviving side. The TARDIS, the Doctor and Gale were on the side which was sinking very quickly. Tears started running down my face because I knew there was no way to get to the other side. Ash looked equally as sad. "We need to get to the top." I regretted saying. Still holding onto the railings on the side, we climbed up to the top of the Titanic.
At the top I looked up in stead of down hoping for the TARDIS to turn up and whisk us away. But that never happened. We just held on to the railings for dear life waiting to sink. Even with the multiple people grabbing me and pushing me only one person surprised me. This hand was cold unlike everyone elses hands. Another thing that surprised me, no one next to me was holding my wrist but one was. The hand let go of me and now a full body was holding me from behind the railing. The android had his arms around my neck and had a sly grin on his face. "I hope you can swim." He said and started to fall backwards. Ash gasped when she saw what was happening and tried to grab my hand but I was already falling backwards with the android. Ash was getting smaller and the water was getting closer. I fell into the water and sunk with the android still holding me.
Xaviar must have tried really hard to make the android indestructible. It didn't even break under the water like it should have done. We sunk into the water and I tried to struggle out of its grip. I was losing my breath fast and my lungs couldn't take not breathing anymore. I kicked the android multiple times and eventually I kicked it hard enough so it let go and sunk.
The current and the cold tried to stop me from reaching the surface. When I finally did I took a deep breath and it felt amazing. The half of the ship I had fallen off was still sinking but now it was on it's side. I had moved away from the ship when I was dragged under the sea and I felt too cold to swim. I gave up when there was a chance that Ash was still alive. I didn't want to give up but I did at the same time. The current would get too much and the only thing could find was a small plank of wood but at least it stopped me from being pulled under by the current.
I had been looking around for any sign of the Doctor, Ash, Gale and the TARDIS but there was nothing for ages. That was until I saw Ash's body floating on a large bit of driftwood. I quickly abandoned my plank of wood and swam over to her. So now my body wanted to move. When I got there she looked lifeless but it looked like she had only just got there. I put my hand on her shoulder, or should I say through her shoulder. When I tried to touch her she disappeared. Ash was a hologram and I knew who set it up. I was too slow to jump up onto the driftwood and soon my ankle was grabbed and I was pulled under by the android.
Despite my kicks the android wouldn't let go this time. I tried to swim up but he was too strong. As we got deeper my breath got smaller. I needed to breathe but we were going too deep and it got too cold. I was about to give up again when someone grabbed my hands and tried to pull me up. It was the Doctor. I tried to kick the android again and my effort dropped but I was finally able to loosen his grip only it was too late. I let out the last bit of my breath and I started to go unconcious. The Doctor grabbed my waist and we swam up to the surface.
I took a deep breath and coughed uncontrollably when we reached the surface but I was too cold. "Anya, stay with me." The Doctor said as he carried me to what I could make out to be the TARDIS. I knew that my lips had turned blue like the Doctor's were turning and frost was growing on my face and in my hair. We had nearly reached the TARDIS when I started to go unconcious but tried desperately to keep my eyes open.
