Chapter 6

Jimmy let out a huff as he put the last blanket in place. He still had an hour or so before it was time to visit Gregory, so he decided to make a fort. Jimmy quickly crawled inside it, giggling quietly before calling for his friend.

"Gaaaaaavinnnnnnn!"

"What is it now?!" he heard Gavin yell from the kitchen.

"Come here!"

He heard no verbal response, instead hearing footsteps. After a moment or two of waiting, he could see Gavin's feet in the gap between the structure and floor. Jimmy quickly grabbed the older man's ankle, pulling slightly. He couldn't help but begin to cackle when the Brit let out a shrill screech, jumping away.

"You little- ugh! Freak!" Gavin hissed. Jimmy stopped laughing after a minute, instead poking his head out from underneath a blanket.

"That was so funny! You sounded like a baby!" he purred. His friend just rolled his eyes, crouching down in front of him.

"Hush up, twink. ... is this my pillow?"

"Yeah. I ran out of things to use for my fort, so I borrowed it. Sooo, wanna come in? You can even be in our club meeting!"

"Our? Club meeting? ... ok fine." Gavin sighed. Jimmy moved aside. He smiled, amused as he watched the large Brit try to fit in such a small space. After a moment or two, Gavin was able to get in, closing the 'door' behind him.

"Everyone, let's welcome Gavin to his first meeting!"

Jimmy grinned, while the older man just looked around, confused.

"Who are you talking to?"

"The other club members, of course! In the corner is Ricky the raccoon, next to you is Teresa the turtle, and you already know Knifey!"

"... how old are you are you again?"

"Umm in human years or... ?"

Gavin was about to say something, but after a moment of silence, he closed his mouth. The club meeting soon started, and Knifey spoke first.

"I think that we should go on a killing spree today!"

"What? Why?" Jimmy asked, frowning.

"Because it'll be so much fun! Ever since you had that little talk with Gregory you've been acting super weird. You always thought it was fun before, remember?"

"Well yeah, but you know I'm trying to cut back! ... y-you're being mean right now!"

"What's happening, Casket?" Gavin questioned.

"I'm having a heated conversation with Knifey!" he hissed, looking up at him.

"Why are you arguing?"

"Because Knifey wants me to kill people but I promised Gregory that I would try to cut back or even stop! I'm being pressured!"

Gavin looked at the knife, slowly taking it into his hand before placing it outside the door of the fort. Jimmy's eyes widened.

"Better?" the Brit asked.

"Y-Yeah."

"Cool. ... you didn't tell me that you were trying to quit. I can help you, ya know."

"Really? How do you know you can help me?"

"Because I've been to a fair amount of rehab sessions. I used to smoke more than just cigarettes... and that's all I'm going to say. Just know that this is going to take a long time since you've been doing it for so many years." Gavin sighed. The killer nodded.

"Sounds good! What's the first step? " Jimmy questioned.

"Well, the first step for me was to to admit that I had a problem. You should do the same."

Jimmy nodded, sitting up straight. He cleared his throat, trying not the feel nervous. It was just him and his best friend... and his stuffed animals, but they couldn't really understand him.

"A-Alright... umm... I-I'm addicted to killing, and it's a problem."

"And why do you want to quit?"

"Because I want to make Gregory happy, and maybe even get into some of my other hobbies."

Gavin nodded.

"That's a good start. Speaking of your brother, it's almost 1:00. Get ready to go. I'll meet you at the car in a few minutes."

Jimmy squeaked excitedly, quickly crawling out of the fort and to the pile of clothes in the corner of the hallway. He grabbed his favorite hoodie, pulling it on. It was his favorite because it was super warm, and reminded him of his favorite jacket from  when he was a kid. He returned to his room, stopping when he saw that Knifey was still sitting on the ground. Jimmy frowned a bit.

"... I'm not gonna take you with me this time." he muttered. Without waiting for a reply, he left the room. The anxiety came on almost immediately. Jimmy hesitantly walked outside, gagging when a puff of smoke wafted in his face.

"What the-?! Get your gross stuff away from me!"

"Sorry. Wasn't expecting you to be there." Gavin sighed.

"Just hurry up! I can't read the clock, but I know that it's almost time to go!"

The older man sighed, putting his cigarette out on the concrete beneath them as he let out a little cough. Jimmy hated the smell.

"Just get in the car, weird ass. ... absolute wankstain..."

Jimmy did as he was told, despite being called names. He was just so excited to see his twin again.
