Chapter 37

Jimmy's face twisted into a sick grin as he stalked his victim. This was his first victim in weeks. Just the anticipation alone was driving him nuts. He looked behind him to make sure that his friend was still with him. Gavin was watching from the end of the alleyway, his face illuminated by nothing but the embers of his cigarette. It was his third in twenty minutes. Jimmy wasn't sure why he was so stressed. It wasn't like he was in danger or anything. In fact, he thought Gavin should be more thankful for his friendship. He could've killed him a million times over by now. Jimmy let out a little huff, turning back to his prey. The man was drunk, stumbling. There was no way he could fight back, even if he wanted to. All he had to do was wait for the right moment. That moment soon arrived. Jimmy leapt forward, dragging the man back into the dark. He clasped his hand over his mouth as he jammed his foot into the back of his knees, collapsing him. The muffled screams were like music to his ears.

"Shhh, don't scream! Screaming won't save you." Jimmy purred, holding his knife to the man's throat.

"Please don't do this! Please!" his victim sobbed through his palm.

"I need to do this."

"Why?!"

"I've just gotta tell you my secret~"

The man's eyes grew huge. He seemed to recognize this line. He began to thrash even harder, even nipping at his hand a couple times. This upset Jimmy. How dare this pathetic man try to bite him? He drew his blade across his neck slowly. Jimmy's hands became hot with blood, then his legs and arms. The feeling was borderline euphoric. The man sputtered and gagged, still trying to plead his way out. But it was too late now. Jimmy leaned down, allowing his lips to brush against the man's jaw. He whispered to him, his secret rolling smoothly off his tongue. The truth was, he didn't have just one secret. He had many, some more legit than others. This one was a bit on the goofier side. He finished off the man with one last stab to the chest. As soon as he went limp Jimmy stood, licking some of the blood from his fingers. Gavin soon appeared at his side, his face scrunched with distaste.

"Jesus dude, I knew you were gonna make a mess." he huffed. Jimmy giggled, twirling his knife. He felt so invigorated.

"I know, isn't it great?! Doesn't red look so good on me?"

"Sure. Are you done?"

"Done? Oh no, I don't think I'll be done for a good long while."

"... don't make me do it, Casket."

Jimmy frowned.

"Do what?"

"I'm gonna cut you off. One more and then you're done. No more after that." Gavin told him. He gasped, soon stomping his foot out of frustration.

"You wha-! You can't do that!" Jimmy whined. The Brit scoffed.

"I can and I have.

"But-"

"Do not argue with me, twit." Gavin hissed. His eyes were ablaze with a sudden rage, the green lighting up his face more than any cigarette in existence. Jimmy knew not to mess with him when he looked like that. Even Knifey couldn't withstand the heat.

"Fine. But only because you're making the freaky ass face."

His friend stared at him for a moment before just nodding, his eyes returning to their normal color. The giant slinked back into the shadows, Jimmy turning back to the body. He grabbed it by the arms, pulling it deeper into the alley. The great thing about being a world renown murderer was he didn't need to clean up anything. Everyone knew who he was and what he was about. He was proud of his work. Jimmy began to look for another victim. He soon noticed another person approaching his makeshift hideout. This one seemed both sober and stronger, something Jimmy was happy about. That meant more fun for him. He hid behind a nearby dumpster, hoping that she would notice the blood on the ground. Thankfully she did, stopping in her tracks. Her face was filled with panic as she peered into the darkness. Like most of his victims this woman was dumb. She just had to investigate. As soon as she stepped off the sidewalk Jimmy lunged forward, slicing at her ankles. He successfully got one of her achilles, his victim screeching with pain as she fell. Jimmy immediately got on top of her, landing a stab on her shoulder. Much to his surprise the woman was able to flip them over so that he was pinned. She pulled the knife out of her shoulder, pointing it at him. Jimmy couldn't help but laugh. She clearly didn't know what she was doing. Her hands were shaking, her face pale. He reached up to snatch the knife back, yelping when she deeply sliced his hand.

"You're not gonna kill me you little freak!" she growled. Before Jimmy could even respond she jammed the blade into his leg. He screamed in both pain and disbelief. This gave him enough motivation to wrestle her off, causing her to drop Knifey. They both scrambled for it, clawing at each other as they did. Jimmy grabbed her by her hair, pulling her back. She returned the favor, digging her nails into his face as she pushed him away. Eventually he was able to regain the advantage, jabbing his elbow into her ribs to get her off. Jimmy was just barely able to slip away, weakly standing. Just as he got his bearings something stuck him in the face, a loud crack sounding as he fell to the ground. Blood poured from his mouth. His vision was fuzzy, his ears were ringing. For the first time in a while, fear struck his heart. He may have bitten off more than he could chew.
