Chapter 3
Jimmy's pockets were filled to the brim with rocks and other things he found on the ground. He didn't really know why, he just sort of started collecting. Jimmy had told Gavin that he had a new game for them to play, but that was a lie. He had no clue what to do. After a few moments, he got an idea. The basic idea of his new game was that he would throw things at Gavin, and the man would need to deflect them. Then, when Gavin least expected it, he would attack! Jimmy thought it sounded pretty fun, but he knew that Gavin probably wouldn't like it.
"Are you ready Gavin?" he called.
"I guess so. What are we doing?"
"Ok, so basically I'm going to throw some stuff at you, and I want you to deflect it with your powers!" Jimmy explained. The Brit frowned.
"Casket... you know I have problems controlling my powers. What if I accidentally do something stupid?"
"It'll be fine. Besides, what you really need is practice! This'll be great practice!" he squeaked. Gavin thought about it for a moment before nodding slowly.
"Alright. Fine."
Jimmy smiled when he saw the older mans hands begin to glow, as well as his eyes. Jimmy threw the first rock. Gavin just took a step back.
"That was lame!" Jimmy hissed.
"Oh don't complain, you prick! It's not my fault that you can't throw!"
"And it's not my fault that you can't get a girlfriend!"
"What the-... you know what Jimmy, the only thing you're hurting are my feelings."
Jimmy just giggled, throwing the next rock a bit harder. This time the Brit actually did as instructed. It went surprisingly well. Gavin didn't even set him on fire! That was pretty good, considering what happened last time. Jimmy frowned, looking down at the scar on his arm. He knew that Gavin didn't mean it, but dang did it hurt. He sighed, throwing the next item. The two were startled by a sudden loud knock, so instead of hitting the rock, Gavin hit a nearby tree.
"Hello?" they heard a voice call. Jimmy's eyes widened with excitement.
"Do you think it's my noodles?" he asked. Gavin looked at his phone and nodded. He followed the older man to the gate. Jimmy wasn't tall enough to see over it, but Gavin seemed pretty calm, so he wasn't worried. The Brit wasn't exactly the best at hiding his emotions, at least when it came to things like panic or anger. Gavin opened the gate, and Jimmy hid. He knew that whoever it was would probably freak out if they saw him.
"That'll be 20 dollars."
Gavin glared at Jimmy, hesitantly handing over the minty green note. He could barely contain his excitement after getting a whiff of the food. It smelled like he wasn't going to have a face by the end of the night.
"We can continue this later. Let's eat before the food gets cold." Gavin sighed after the person left. The killer nodded, a little smile on his face. His plan was about to be set in motion. The two walked back inside. As soon as Gavin set the food down, Jimmy struck. He lunged forward, pushing against his friend roughly. Much to his surprise, Gavin hardly reacted or even moved.
"Hey! Why aren't you falling?! ... well?! Answer me!"
"... I could see this coming from a mile away, Casket."
"I was only like three feet away, not a mile! Now fall over!" He ordered, pushing against him once more. Gavin just sighed, slowly laying down. Jimmy wasn't expecting this, and fell on top of him as a result.
"Oh wow, you got me. What ever shall I do?" Gavin questioned, putting his hands up. Jimmy smiled, readjusting so that he was straddling the Brit's torso. He pulled out the toy knife, holding it to his friends neck.
"You're gonna die now! Any last words?"
"Always be prepared."
"Ok! ... wait wh-?!"
Jimmy screeched when the older man flipped them over, wrestling the toy from his hand before pinning him the floor. He tried as hard as he could to break free from the Brit's grasp, but he couldn't. It kind of made sense, being that Gavin was both taller and weighed more. That, and Jimmy wasn't really trying to kill him. Not this time, at least.
"Like I said, always be prepared!" The man laughed, smiling. Jimmy tried to break free once more.
"You're mean!"
"Mean?"
"Yeah!"
Gavin just laughed again. Jimmy blushed a bit. This was one of the only times he had ever heard Gavin laugh, and it was actually kind of nice.
"I'm just preparing you for one possible reaction. Imagine if I was a cop, or one of your victims. I would still be able to overpower you easily." Gavin explained. Jimmy let out a frustrated huff.
"That's dumb. I've never met someone as big as you, Gavin."
The Brit's eyes widened, and his eyebrows raised.
"No one as big as me, huh?"
"... s-shut up! I didn't mean it like that! Get off of me, freak!" Jimmy hissed. Gavin smirked and did as he was told, standing up. Jimmy just watched as he disappeared into the kitchen, returning with plates.
"Get up. I got this food for you."
Jimmy crawled over and onto the couch. He could practically feel the spiciness of the food radiating from the container. He frowned when his stomach growled. Jimmy hadn't realized how hungry he was until now. He put some food on his plate, excited. He could always annoy Gavin later.
