Chapter 10
Jimmy quickly finished his third plate of noodles, ignoring the throbbing pain in his head and arm. As much as he hated to admit it, Gregory really messed him up. He really just felt like trash. Maybe the paranoia of what his brother did was making him feel the pain more. He let out a huff, looking up at his friend. The annoyance was evident in his rich green eyes.
"You good, Gav?"
"Yeah. I'm just tired, is all."
"Oh? Did you not sleep well last night? You seemed pretty comfy..."
"It was sufficient."
"Su-who?"
"Fine. It was fine, Casket." Gavin sighed.
"... then why are you tired?!" he squeaked. The older man just shrugged. Jimmy quickly lost interest. He glanced across the table, watching as Johnny leaned over, whispering something to Gregory. He frowned, and his eyes narrowed. Jimmy hated it when people kept things from him, despite having many secrets himself. He let out a hiss, pressing himself against the table. This got everyones attention.
"Are you ok, Jimbo?" Gregory asked. He just smiled.
"I'm fine. Keep talking."
"... are you sure?"
"Yes, of course!"
The two hesitantly began to talk once more. Jimmy stared, and much to his surprise, Gavin put his arm around him. He held him close.
"It's ok, Casket. They're being secretive, and so can we."
"Really?"
"Yeah! What do you want to talk about?" Gavin questioned. Jimmy thought for a moment.
"Well... do you wanna hear a secret?"
The Brit instantly looked nervous, and Jimmy giggled. He loved messing with his bestie.
"S-sure."
Jimmy leaned forward, taking a moment to think of something to say. Many things went through his head, some inappropriate and some not before he finally thought of something.
"I'm part turtle." he whispered. He heard Gavin scoff.
"Oh yeah? Well if you're part turtle, then I-... I'm part cat!"
Jimmy laughed. He had heard about cat people before. He saw them on the internet when he was using the computer. The pictures were on some website called "DeviantArt", whatever that was. He jumped when his brother interrupted his thoughts.
"Helloooo? Earth to Jimmy!" Gregory called, waving his hand.
"What?"
"You were spacing off."
"Oh... well I was just thinking."
"About what?" his twin asked. Jimmy blushed a bit.
"Weird stuff! Stuff you wouldn't even know about! ... I hope."
Gregory just stared at him for a moment before chuckling. Jimmy was just glad that he didn't continue to question him. They continued to talk for a while until Gavin stood up, startling him.
"I'll be back." he mumbled. With that, Gavin was gone. Jimmy wondered what the Brit was doing. Gavin was a pretty mysterious guy, and that's what the killer loved about him. He had always loved figuring things out about people. It was almost like he was a detective! Jimmy loved playing detective, and if he wasn't already a murderer, he would actually consider becoming one for real. It just seemed like so much fun. Maybe in another life. For now, he was busy trying to get rid of his addiction. He sighed, looking up at the clock. It was already 6:00! Time had gone by so quick, just like when he watched tv.
"... where did Gavin go?" Johnny asked, breaking the silence. Jimmy shrugged.
"He's probably smoking or something."
"Smoking? Jeez... he had lots of bad habits, doesn't he?"
Jimmy nodded.
"Yeah... but so do you!"
"And I bet you do to! I know Sir does." Johnny chuckled. Gregory's eyes widened, and his cheeks turned red.
"Hey! Don't being me into this!" he hissed. Jimmy giggled.
"Tell me more, Johnny! Pleaseeee?"
His giggle turned into a laugh when Gregory gave Johnny a sharp look. The Brit looked like he wanted to say something, but he didn't. Instead he just smiled.
"I'm not allowed to say. What I can say is that since we live in this little apartment instead of a house, Sir can't hide all his weird little tendencies anymore."
Jimmy was about to ask another question when Gavin returned, plopping down next to him.
"Hello."
"Hey Gav! Where did you go?" Jimmy questioned, looking up at him.
"The restroom."
"... are you lying?"
"What the- why would I lie?"
"I don't know! You're just weird sometimes, so I thought that you might've been doing something spooky."
Gavin just rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his soda. After taking a couple of moments to check his phone, he shook his head.
"So I'm the weird one, huh? That's rich."
Jimmy's eyes narrowed. How dare Gavin call him weird!
"W-Well you're a mean person!"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah!"
Gavin scoffed, going back to his phone. Jimmy looked up at his brother. He had a big smile on his face, and his honey brown eyes were lit up more than they had in years. He was a bit sad after realizing that he was probably going to have to go home soon. He wished that he could've hung out with him for longer. Johnny too. He honestly used to hate Johnny, but after seeing how well he treated Gregory, he learned to like him. He would forever have the urge to tear his guts out, but that was his problem. Jimmy stood up, pulling Gregory into a hug. Even after all the horrible things he had one to him, he still loved his brother. He just hoped that Gregory felt the same.
