Dance
You giggle lightly, watching him awkwardly dice the vegetables. He shoots you a slight glare at the sound. You go over, moving your hand over his, adjusting his grip on the vegetable. Crocodile pauses watching you carefully as you grip the guild on his forearm, easily proceeding to dice rapidly. You smile feeling him tense when the blade got near his fingers.
"Relax," You breathe as you finish, releasing his hand and slipping off the cutting knife and replacing it with his hook, touching your lips to the curve of hook. "Thanks for the help." You add. He watches you for a moment before turning to head out.
"It was... Interesting..." He says going out. You smile after him before proceeding with dinner. You had been surprised he stuck by you those two days while you were sick. You smile to yourself feeling happier than you have in a long. He was to thank for that, Crocodile wasn't the type to be so considerate and soft. The fact that you were able to witness such a thing made you feel special.
"___, how's dinner coming along?" Daz asks making you look over.
"It's almost finished, could you go get him?"
The stars were beautiful that night. You lean on the railing with a smile as the waves dance calmly around the ship. You peer back at the door before carefully stripping down to your bikini before diving into the cool water below. You smile twirling under the ship and swimming alongside it.
You float on your back looking up at stars. You smile widely to yourself and flip back under the water and pause along with the sea dragon. You blink and smile swimming closer and letting your hands glide along its scaley smooth snout.
"___ how is-" Crocodile breaks off as he comes onto deck looking around for you. He spots your clothes and rushes over. "___?" He calls carefully. There's a splash of water and he looks to the otherside of the ship, freezing in surprise.
You giggle taking few breathes petting the sea dragon. "Thanks for the lift friend." You giggle. It rumbles in response. You glance toward the ship and pause spotting Crocodile. "Ah... Evening..." You smile with a wave.
"Evening.." He responds as the sea dragon moves so you can jump on deck.
"Thank you, good luck out there." You breathe kissing it's cheek. It purrs looking away. "Hehe farewell for now." You wave as it disappears under the waves again. You turn back to Crocodile and smile sheepishly. "Sorry, did you need something?"
"I just came to see how the night watch was going..." He tells you.
"It's so peaceful right now... I'll be right back I need to get a towel-" You pause as he raises his hand to you. The water that slicked your body dries up. With a smile you relax. "Nevermind thank you." You chuckle getting dressed.
"Do you often do that?" Crocodile inquires watching you.
"Mm only when I'm comfortable with my surroundings... And if it's a beautiful night... Everything looks so eerie and mysterious under the waves on nights like this." You smile up at the sky. He stays silent, watching you for a moment or two. He didn't know what to say or do. Seemed like everytime he thought he figured out who you were, you surprised him like this.
And right now, he couldn't speak because the way the moon kissed you at that moment, simply took his breath away. Your gaze slides over to him and you tilt your head.
"Are you okay Crocodile?" You ask.
"Yeah... I suppose I'm just restless tonight." He breaks his gaze away. You smile and step up to him.
"I can help with that." You tell him, gently grasping his hook. "Dance with me." He blinks as you move his hand to your hip.
"There's no music ___." He points out.
"Just open your mind a bit Crocodile. You'll hear it." You smile moving your other hand to his shoulder and coaxing him into swaying with you. He was frowning awkwardly, pink dusting his cheeks. You smile up at him as he steadily falls into your rhythm.
"I'll never understand you woman..." He murmurs.
"You only say that because I keep surprising you Crocodile." You giggle lightly.
"You are very spontaneous." He agrees with a slight nod.
"Does that trouble you Crocodile?" You inquire looking into his eyes. His hold on your hip tightens slightly, eyes softening.
"Oddly... No." He admits quietly.
"Good... Go get some sleep Crocodile, I'll see you tomorrow." You tell him pulling away.
"Right... Goodnight ___." He responds starting for the door that led below deck.
"Sleep well Crocodile..." You say after him. He pauses looking back at you. He offers a nod before disappearing inside.
"Snow!" You cheer childishly, running ahead and diving into a snow mound.
"There she goes again.." Daz comments while a rugged chuckle escapes Crocodile who shakes his head.
"That woman..." He breathes in amusement as you explode out of the snow and run for another snow mound. "You're going to catch a cold... Again." He says loud enough for you to hear.
"I'll be fine! Don't worry about me!" You cheer falling back and making a snow angel. Daz looks at Crocodile who just smirks at your antics.
"Odd woman..."
