Occupying a room were three individuals, one of them laid unconscious on a soft surface, but stirred in her spot as her consciousness was regained at a slow pace. Her mind flashed images of the events that may have taken place, but she was unsure.

"Connor?", the woman mentally whispered.

The woman's head started to ache as her eyelids gave way and fluttered open to the new environment. Sun rays shined through the windows, indicating that it was around sunset or the evening. Erika managed to sit up slowly and saw that she was in an office of sorts and thought, have I been here before?

She looked over to her right and saw two figures having a conversation by a large window--both were women and the young woman could recall encountering then earlier that day. Erika stayed still as she watched them talk until the slightly timid woman noticed her and notified the other woman in a red outfit. The exact woman gave Erika a warm smile and approached her while the other stayed standing by the window.

"It is good to see that you have awakened", Erika examined the woman as she sat beside her and with her subtle accent and regal appearance it was clear that it was Ms. Satchell in the flesh.

"Where am I?", Erika questioned as it was clear as day that Hank and Connor were not on the premises," How did I get here?"

These questions rotated in her mind as she tried to grasp at an idea on a possible location. As she scanned the room once more, the beautiful woman watched her behavior closely much like spider observing its prey in its web.

Eversen.

Erika's eyes lit up as she recognized this place as it was, indeed, Ms. Satchell's office at the main Eversen building. Her eyes then looked to Reina with a questioning expression plastered onto her face.

"How did I get to Eversen?", she asked the CEO of the company.

"That ties into my question... why were you here?", the woman kept her composure as she asked a contradicting question in response. Erika was confused and spoke her mind at that very moment.

"I was here?", her eyebrows became furrowed she began to overthink the statement.

"Yes, the greeter androids we have up front, saw you being dropped off at the steps, then you merely collapsed as you reached the front doors", the woman explained, but the way she explained it all was unsetting, to say the least, but by being mostly human Erika did not even notice this small detail.

"With the worry that your health may be at risk, they brought you to me to watch over you until someone came looking for you, but that has not happened yet", Reina smiled and gave the young woman a squeeze on her hand and stood up," but since you are awake we can contact anyone that would be willing to come and fetch you"

Erika immediately shook her head in response for a voice spoke in the back of her mind with a statement to not leave. This action caught the other woman's eye and she made her way from the window to the side of the CEO of Eversen.

"I-I think it might be best to call them later since they are busy", Erika stated to appear believable," besides I would like to view the facility once again, but at my own pace"

"I guess we can do that for now", the woman that was next to Ms. Satchell spoke.

"Doctor Haelie Sue, it's nice to meet you again, miss," she greeted Erika with confident smile.

"Erika...Anderson", the young woman lied.

"Its nice to meet you Ms. Anderson, now let's get started with that tour", the doctor spoke as she led the way with the CEO of Eversen close behind.

"Please hurry Connor"

A vintage car drive around town for a significant amount of time as it's two occupants were filled to the brim with worry and anxiousness.

"Connor glad you found me, but now we have Erika to worry about", Hank shook his head as he drove to places the young woman could possibly be at. The old man would not be able to live with himself of anything happened to his daughter. He needed to find her and bring her back home safe.

"Hank, I believe Erika might be at a location that we would least expect", Connor spoke in a direct tone. The android swiftly turned down a street and headed to a location not too far from the last.

"God dammit, here!?" Hank let out a huff as they pulled up to the curved driveway. The two glared at the building with confirmed suspicion towards who is to be responsible for Erika's sudden disappearance. Hank followed by connor headed for the front glass doors and confronted the front desk android.

"I'd like to have a word with your CEO, Ms. Satchell"

Sorry this was a short chapter, I'll make it up to you with a longer one for the next chapter!
