039 | Separation
The sky darkened slightly as the faded blue tint became a warmer tone. As the car drove up back to a familiar area, the buildings became more modern and regal looking. The three had just been in this part of Detroit not that far back and to be in the exact same area was suspicious. Connor was confused at this predicament as it made no sense to him, it scrambled his codes and caused his thought processing components to be faulty. He voiced his speculation to the other two occupants in the car.
"Of all places, he lures us to the place we just visited approximately a day ago", Connor narrowed his eyes as there was a connection, could Ms. Satchell be more than she said she was?
"It is odd, but it's a place that we'd least check", Hank said as they neared the location. The vehicle was placed into park as it stood adjacent from a business type building. Hank was the first to leave the vehicle and was soon followed by Connor and Erika. As the three made their way across the street to the building a familiar face took them by surprise as she exited the building with another woman.
"Ms. Satchell it is nice to see you again", Connor approached the woman as he scanned her to confirm it was indeed the CEO of Eversen. The woman that exited with her was avoiding interaction with the group, but her presence seemed to be of importance.
"Detectives, it's nice to see you three again", Reina's sly eyes squinted at their presence at this location as it was not known by many--only a few trusted personnel are aware of its location.
"May I ask why are you here?", the CEO of Eversen questioned the three as she was suspicious of them while Connor was the same to her.
"We've received information that a suspect has been seen in the area", Connor answered for the group as Hank was lagging in replies due to a small amount of alcohol in his system.
"Here? Why?", the woman came off as clueless and concerned," this is just the Eversen outreach center"
"I see, we'll be taking a look around the area to be sure", Connor commented in a professional manner," if that is alright with you Ms. Satchell"
"I don't mind at all, you can take a look inside as well, anything to aid you in your search detectives", she gave them a warm smile, but the facade was only bought by the lieutenant and Erika she Connor saw through her--she was hiding something.
Connor kept looking at the other woman as she was an unknown person to the group except the android ran an identity scan to be safe. Her eye shape and facial features made her of Asian descent, but subtle American attributes were barely noticeable.
Name: Doctor Haelie Sue
Age: 30
DOB: January 25, 2008
Height: 5"8
Weight: 127 lbs.
Head Scientist & Engineer at Eversen
Noticing the group of three's interest in the women beside her, Reina introduced the woman--confirming Connor's scan results.
"Detectives, this is Doctor Haelie Sue, head scientist and engineer at Eversen", the company's CEO smiled slightly as the other woman waved," now come with me"
She escorted the three through the main entrance and talked with the desk clerk. The human employee nodded and ran three badges to give Erika, Hank, and Connor. She handed them to each detective as the CEO headed on out.
"I'll be off, good luck detectives", Ms. Satchell walked away with Dr. Sue beside her and entered a sleek silver car before driving off.
Erika watched at the regal woman left--to just leave them to investigate the area. The young woman began to wonder, Of all places, what could it mean?
Connor analyzed the area once more and decided to search outside alone while Hank and Erika headed inside the building to search for clues. The lieutenant believed this was not a great idea as he admitted that Connor found more evidence on his own, especially after the old man would sweep a room for clues and would only find one when compared to the numerous amount the android would find.
"I'll head inside after scouting the area", Connor said and left the two to venture into the Eversen building alone. He headed on out and scanned the exterior. It was similar to the main Eversen building but had a prominent honeycomb design along the exterior--this design was reminiscent of bees and how uniform they were.
Connor neared a corner and looked at the pavement with intrigued eyes. Amongst the snow-covered asphalt was a small engraving of an "E".
"The Experimenter,,
Connor immediately looked around and analyzed the spot, along the surface of the ground he found an indentation. He moved his fingers underneath the ledge and lifted up a hatch. Now intrigued, he entered the opening and into a dark tunnel where no one would see him.
"Tin man"
A voice echoed throughout the corridor, but the dark made it difficult to see even for the likes of an android. Connor followed the direction the voice was the loudest and trudged through the shallow water that was stagnant along the concrete tunnel.
"RK800"
The voice spoke again, but this time it stated Connor's model number and a snicker soon followed the series of numbers. Connor only thought of one person.
"Conan,,
Connor commenced running down the corridor now that he was certain it was the maniacal man. As he neared the location of the voice another echoed down another tunnel and Connor began the hunt.
"Niave"
Connor kept running.
"Worthless"
Running.
"A Pawn"
And running.
"You're-"
Connor was blinded by bright storm lights and felt his arms being restrained. Amongst the clouded shadows emerged the man he was looking for. The man laughed as he neared the android with a knife in hand. He brought the sharp object close to Connor's face so that the pointed tip neared his eyes. Connor's eyes constricted while his pupils became the diameter of a pin needle.
"Just a MACHINE"

"Hank I'm worried about Connor he hasn't come in yet", Erika spoke her suspicion as she had a bad feeling haunt her the moment he left them.
"I'm sure he'll be fine, he's Connor", Hank reassured the young woman as they searched the building for more clues.
"Connor where are you?", Erika whispered to herself--the woman was unaware of the android's fate.

A cliffhanger! I'm sorry don't shoot or throw any fruit at me. If you have something to say, write in a comment and I'll personally write a novel of an apology to you for your frustration. Again, I'm sorry.
