First job day.
The sun slowly rose on the planet where Ikiara had crashed days ago, indicating that morning had arrived, the young girl was sleeping on a spare room that Luridad and her father had allowed her to stay on. Her slumber as soon interrupted by the sight of the sunlight on her eyes through the window, causing her to wake up and sit up, yawning a little in the process and stretching her arms.
After waking up properly Ikiara got fixed her clothes a little, then she heard a knock on her door, she walked over and opened it, being greeted by Luridad with her hands on her back "morning Fallen angel, glad to see that you are awake ", Ikaria's cheek turned red in response "I told you to that nickname embarrasses me" she said, Luridad giggled a bit "sorry but it's just so fitting, you are a beautiful girl at fell in from the sky, totally a fallen angel" she responded.
Ikaria rolled her eyes a little, after all the panic she had been through the last day she was able to calm down and her more usual personality showed, not knowing how to respond to Luridad's cheery and flirty nature, "whatever" she said before her stomach growled in hunger, only embarrassing her further "oh, seems like someone is hungry" Luridad spoke with her hand on her chin and a small grin on her face " well its not my fault, I haven't eaten since yesterday" she said looking away.
Luridad said no more and took the other girl's hand, taking her outside of the room and leading her over to the kitchen on where her father was preparing breakfast, hearing the footsteps of both girls he looked over from his shoulder "morning girls, breakfast is just about ready", Luridad smiled happily while Ikiara just quiet and nodded, both going to the table and sitting down. After a couple of minutes, the food was ready and served on plates, Luridad's father picked said plates up and placed them on the table "thank you dad!" the monochromatic girl told her dad smiling widely, "thanks..." Ikiara on the other hand was much more reserved with her answer, both girls started eating right after, Luridad eating happily while Ikiara took a small bite, stopping immediately and her eyes widening in surprise at the flavor, which was followed by her devouring the food at a fast pace, Luridad giggled a bit as she looked over at her, "seems like you have quite an appetite", Ikiara ignored this looking away red faced as she continued to eat.
A couple of minutes later the girls finished breakfast and walked from the kitchen to the living room, sitting on the couch, "so... how can I know if my brothers are still alive?" the purple eyed girl questioned, " well its not as simple as just doing it when you haven't use magic before, first I got to teach you the basics ", to this Ikiara nodded " well what are we waiting for ?" she said getting up as soon as that sentence was over, " okay, so to teach you I will take you with me on a job, you remember I talked you about this the other day right?", Ikiara nodded and both of them walked to the door, stepping outside of the house and advancing forward through the village.
"So, what are these basics of magic you are talking about?" Ikiara askedas they walked "hmm, you seem to be eager to learn... but I can't blame you, it'sabout your family after all" Luridad answered before she opened her hands " soone of the best things to start on is orb creation " she said as she created ansphere of darkness on her hands " you need to concentrate what you have tocreate an orb off and picture it manifesting it as an orb on your hands" she explained, the girl nodded and tried to imitate the actions she did, which only resultedon a gust of wind on her hands, almost forming into a small orb but faded awayquickly after, making Ikiara sigh in disappointment before Luridad placed herhand on her shoulder " hey its okay, it was just a star you will get the hangof it eventually "she said.
Soon they stopped in front of a board with various papers pinned over to it "what is this?" Ikiara asked as she observed papers, "this is the village's job board, people who need help pin petitions on here and magic users like us pick them up and take care of it for money", "oh, so what job are we going to do?". Luridad spent a small number of minutes looking at the various notes pinned on the board, finally picking one up "we are going to gather up some griffins for a farmer", "what is a Griffin?" Ikiara inquired, "it's a flying creature, it looks like an eagle with the body of a lion... although I'm not sure if you have seen those animals so just wait until we get there, and you will see" the snow-white skinned girl answered to which Ikiara nodded.
Walking ahead following the directions written on the paper they passed the village, spotting a small lake on their side at some point of their way, eventually getting to a field full of griffins, which was relatively close to a farm where they would need to take them to. The Griffins just like how they were described by the young witch, for Ikiara thought they were just weird creatures, "are those griffins?" she asked raising an eyebrow " indeed they are, you can just watch me work if you want, you may be able to pick up a thing or two" she said before walking ahead, the girl sighing a bit and sitting down, watching her guide walk forwards over to the beasts. Once in front of them she raised her hand upwards "illuminas ludio" she spoke, a flash of light scaping from her fingers and forming into lassos, which she used to drag the beasts to the farm, all the young girl could do is watch and try to decipher how she was doing such thing, some griffins seemed to resist but Luridad still managed to drag most of them over to the warm but she didn't noticed that one of them was flying higher than the others and then charged at her from behind, Ikiara widened her eyes and without thinking for a second, she stood up and rushed forwards, extending her hand forwards as an attempt to stop the monster, suddenly in a flash of purple light, a lasso of the same color extended from her hand and wrapped around the wild creature, Ikiara then brought it to the ground pulling her hand down, the sound created from the hit caused Luridad to turn around and see the source of said sound, an surprised expression on her face before being replaced with a smile " you did fallen angel !" she said and clapped her hands, "I... I did?" she said as she seemed astonished at her own actions, after a bit of breathing the girls brought the griffin into the farm together, getting paid by the owner afterward.
"So... how did you do it Ikiara?" Luridad asked her on their way back home, Ikiara hummed "I honestly don't know ... I just saw that thing rushing at you and all I thought about it was stopping it" she spoked looking at her hands "aww, you wanted to protect me that much? how sweet of you" she said hugging the other girl's side, making her blush deep red trying to look away "W-Whatever" she mumbled as both continued to walk forward.
In the night.
Ikiara and Luridad had made it back home and the young girl decided to pick up one of the books Luridad's father had on a shelf by the living room, seemingly one about ancient mystic arts, as she passed her eyes through the words the information flowed through her eyes, a shine began to emanate from them, something seemed to click on her as she read "huh... I wonder." she said before placing the book on her lap, putting her hands together, concentrating on the words she had gone through, and in an instant, an orb of light created on her hands "woah..." she was amazed that she managed to do this after merely reading the book "brothers... please survive, ill promise I will find you".
