Double Date

Even after Trollsmas, Trollex was still stuck in the castle. He kept locking himself in his room if he had nothing else to do. Ever since he was grounded by his father, Trollex wasn't craving for Land Troll stuff anymore. The only thing he could think of is Aggie. And always been Aggie. He thought all he could dream was to live on land, and learn new things about it, but when he spent a lot of time with Aggie, he had a brand-new dream, and it was being with Aggie. He never knew he would fall in love with her so quickly. She was so cute, nice, and friendly. If only he wasn't arranged to marry his childhood friend, he wanted to choose Aggie as his wife, but he's sure her parents won't want that either because of them ruling two different kingdoms in the future. One of them should give up their throne. Aggie won't give up the throne, and so was Trollex. Both of them love their kingdoms, but Trollex loved Aggie so much, and he wanted to tell her that. He wanted to call or text Aggie again, but his phone was still confiscated. He was to retrieve his phone, and wanted to make sure if Aggie is okay.

That morning, when Trollex slowly opened his door, he looked around to see no guard guarding his door. They must've taken a quick break. Now's his chance to swim out alone. Trollex swam down the halls to find his father, but along the way, he noticed a door open. He slowly took a peek inside, and saw that it was his father's study room. Trollex entered the room, closing the door behind him, and looked around it. The room was filled with books, pens, scrolls, and papers. King Ocean was always this busy. No wonder he made a big deal for Trollex to become king. He will work hard just like his father. Just then, Trollex spotted his shellphone at the right side of his father's desk. When Trollex reached out to retrieve his phone, he could hear the door knob twisting, feeling that someone's coming. Trollex didn't know what to do as he looked all over the place.

The door opened, and King Ocean entered with the trident on his left hand, while holding a paper he read with his right hand. He swam towards his desk, and sat on it. Outside the window, Trollex leaned against the wall under the window with the shellphone in his hand, and he sighed in relief that he was safe. He swam to another direction to get to his bedroom window.

When he made it back to his bedroom through the window, Trollex charged his phone with one of the tentacles of a jellyfish, and turned it on. He noticed he has a lot of missed calls and messages, mostly from Aggie. He was surprised that Aggie tried to contact him. The Trollsmas gift was proof that Aggie missed him, but he didn't expect she missed him too much. He was checking all of the messages and voice messages he received from Aggie, and most of them were messages of worries. He then noticed a new message he received just today, just 30 minutes ago before he could switch his phone on. He decided to read it.

Hey, Trollex. I know we haven't seen each other for more than a week, but I'm still worried about you. I want to know how you've been doing? Do you receive my Trollsmas gift? I hope you do, and I hope you like it. I know we never spend Trollsmas together since you're too busy. But since Trollsmas is over, I wanna ask you something

You remember my friend, Gust, right? His crush Holly asked him out on a date, and he asked me to be his wing Troll. I did say yes, but, honestly, I don't know how to be a wing troll. I can't do this alone, Trollex. You're my friend, and I need your help.

After reading the message, Trollex put his phone down, and murmured in surprised "Aggie needs me?" IT was a surprise for him that Aggie texted him for help. She usually texted him for personal reasons or other good stuff, but this time, she asked him to help her.

With this, this might be his chance to see her again, and he couldn't reject a friend in need. Trollex put his phone in his hair, and decided to swim out.

But then, Beat woke up from his sleep, and noticed his best friend swimming towards the door, "Trollex, where are you going?"

Trollex stopped as he was caught off-guard. He already held the door knob, but he was interrupted when he heard his best friend, "I'm... I'm going to Harmonious Land."

"What about your parents?" Beat asked worryingly.

Trollex squeezed his eyes close. He knew he would be punished if his parents found out he's been visiting the land, but this time, he didn't care anymore. His decoy was outside, and couldn't have time to get it to fool his parents that he was here in the bedroom, "They can catch me if they want to."

"What?"

Before Beat could react, Trollex swam out, and closed the door behind him.

Trollex tried his best to get out of the castle, and the kingdom without being spotted. He hoped he'll make it to Harmonious Land in time to help his crush.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Harmonious Land, at the doors of Magic Castle, Aggie was fixing Gust bow tie for his first date with Holly. Gust was wearing a cyan tuxedo and blue pants. He was also carrying a bouquet of flowers for his date.

"So, Aggie, what do y'all think?" Gust asked.

"I think you look mighty good, Gust! Holly's gonna think that you're so cute!" Aggie playfully punched Gust's shoulder.

"Y'all mighty think so?" the Country Troll sighed as he patted his hand on Aggie's shoulder, "I'm glad I chose the right wingtroll. I don't know what I would do without you."

Aggie looked down as she felt guilty for agreeing Gust to be his wing Troll, even though she didn't know how to be one. She knew how to be a supportive friend, but with dates and romance, it's difficult, especially when she didn't have a partner for it, "Um, you see, Gust, to be perfectly honest, I don't think I'm gonna be your wing Troll," she admitted, which made Gust removed his hand from her shoulder. Aggie sighed, "Because I..."

"She can't be a wing Troll alone."

That voice was so familiar. Aggie gasped when she looked ahead, and Gust turned around to see who was speaking behind them. Trollex was standing while waving sheepishly.

"Prince Trollex?!" Gust exclaimed.

"What are you doing here?" Aggie asked.

"I... got your message. I know you needed help," Trollex replied, holding his phone.

"Phew. I'm glay you're here, y'all's Technoness. Ay do nee anothuurr wing troll since Aggie can't do it alone," Gust tilted his hat to the prince, before deciding to gallop ahead, "I'll see ya two at thay ...err bus stop"

Now that they were alone, Trollex and Aggie had time to talk to each other after more than a week of not seeing one another.

When Trollex turned around to look at Aggie, the Magic Musical Princess suddenly blushed. His looks haven't changed for a while, and he was still gorgeous in her eyes, but she has to play it cool before he'll figure out she was so in love with him, "Wow... I-I haven't seen you in a while. H-how've you been?

Trollex sighed sadly. He missed Aggie so much, and he wanted to hug her tightly, but that's more-than-a-friend scenario. All he could do was to confess, "Aggie, I'm sorry. Mom and dad just put too much pressure on my betrothal. I wanted to contact you, but dad took my phone, and I can't contact you."

Aggie smiled as she placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's okay, Trollex. I understand."

"You mean, you're not mad?" the Techno Prince inquired.

The princess shook her head, "No. As your friend, I really understand what you've been through."

"Yeah... you're a good friend, Aggie," Trollex chuckled, feeling a little sad that he's still stuck in a friendzone with Aggie, "Oh, and I got your Trollsmas gift yesterday."

"Really?!" Aggie squealed excitingly, but she quickly cleared her throat, "I mean, do you like it?"

"Yeah, it's beautiful," The prince answered, "Did you got mine too?" To answer that question, Aggie pulled the necklace from under her dress. She did wear it, but she hid it inside her dress so no one would notice it. Trollex smiled that Aggie already wore it when she got his gift yesterday, "What do you think?"

"I love it. I will treasure it forever," Aggie said while looking down on her necklace before hiding it again.

"I know how much you love underwater things, so I decided to make a necklace out of it," The prince confessed. He admitted he worked hard to make that necklace for her, but blushed when he confessed. Aggie was suddenly blushed of how thoughtful Trollex was to her. The two looked away to hide their blush from each other, "So, uh, are we ready to go? Help your friend out?" Trollex changed the topic.

Aggie's blush faded as she nodded, "Sure."

Trollex offered his arm to Aggie, acting like they were dating and escorting her out of the castle, but Aggie refused to, which the prince shrugged, and admitted it was a joke.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later, the two then meet up with Gust at the bus stop at the sidewalk.

Gust noticed the two royals as he put his phone in her hair, and exclaimed, "There y'all two are! We have ta hurry. Holly will kill me if ay don't make it ta Symphonyville faw our ferst date."

While waiting for the bus, Trollex noticed a white speck falling under his nose, "Hey, what's this?"

"That's ayy snowflake, y'all's highness," Gust pointed.

And what about this white stuff?" The Techno Prince kicked the snow from his fins,

"That's snow," Aggie said.

"What's snow?"

"It's like frozen water, but not like ice. They are fluffier, and you can make sculptures with them," The princess demonstrated by making a small snow Troll with small stones and twigs, "See?"

Trollex was fascinated by the figure. He has never seen snow or snow Trolls before, "Wow, it's beautiful... and cold!"

"That's what I said. It's frozen water," Aggie chuckled, "I planned to share my knowledge of snow with you, but you're always busy," she frowned.

Trollex felt guilty for Aggie. He was too busy to let her show him what snow is, or what she does in Trollsmas. He hoped he'll make things up to her today.

The bus then stopped in front of them, and opened the door for them. The three got in, and the bus changed its destination to Symphonyville.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After 2 hours of traveling since Symphonyville wasn't so far from Harmonious Land, the bus stopped at the entrance of Symphonyville. Aggie, Trollex, and Gust hopped off, and decided to walk in. The classical Trolls were still nice and polite as usual as they spent a lot of time hanging with their non-Classical friends if they were not busy practicing. A lot of different Trolls have visited the place since Trollsmas was over.

Aggie, Trollex, and Gust entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted to the scent of pasta and freshly baked bread.

Trollex inhaled the delicious scent and replied, "Man, the food smells so good."

Aggie answered, "Well, restaurants here always serve the most delicious food you've ever eaten."

Meanwhile, a nervous Gust was fiddling with his hands, feeling nervous about his date with Holly, while at the same time, he was curious as to where she was. Was she late? Or worse: did he arrive late?! Did she get tired of waiting for him and left?! Luckily, what made him feel reassured was when he heard a loud, "Yoohoo," ring through the restaurant, which made the trio turn their heads to see what was going on and who had called him.

It turned out to be none other than Holly, who was waving at them before she pointed at the table she was sitting in, which indicates she had already reserved it for them. The table was a booth with red leather seats and a beautifully painted table that glistened under the light that hung above them. Gust gulped in nervousness as he, Aggie, and Trollex approached the table and readied to take their seats. Gust nervously chuckled as he sat next to Holly.

Trollex then saw that Aggie was about to take her seat as he decided to take a page from Gust's book and pulled out a chair for Aggie, saying, "Here you go."

Aggie felt touched by her friend's kindness, saying, "Aw, thanks Trollex," and she sat down in the chair, allowing Trollex to push her in while she hid a secret blush that rose from her cheeks.

The waiter soon returned, putting out four fancy glasses and pouring water into them while saying, "Welcome. We hope you have a splendid evening tonight. Please enjoy looking at our menus and picking out what you may wish to eat as your meal."

Everyone picked up the menus beside them and looked inside them, with Holly commenting, "Ooh, these here choices look laake they be good ta eat," while Trollex added, "Yeah, I don't know what to pick."

Aggie suggested, "I highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich; it's so good." Gust looked at the choices of food to eat before spying something that caught his eye: glitter bean chili and a cheese soufflé: Holly's favorite dish.

Trollex noticed the look Gust had and spotted what he was looking at in the menu before whispering at him, "Order it for her."

Gust smiled and nodded in approval as he saw Holly looking a bit downfallen as she said, "Dang, y'all. Ay don't know what ta pick." Gust placed his menu down while saying, "M'lady, allow me ta order dinnuurr faw ya."

Gust gave his menu to the waiter while saying, "Two orduurrs ov y'all's finest glitter bean chili ayn' cheese soufflé, please."

Holly was a little surprised to hear what Gust had ordered; she had only confided in A ggie in what her favorite dish was. So to see that Gust knew what dish she liked, it was both very generous....and romantic.

Trollex then said, "I'll take the grilled cheese sandwich please."

Aggie commented, "And I'll have the chicken and broccoli dish please."

The waiter accepted all the menus and nodded in gratitude before it flew to tell the chef the orders.

As the group awaited their food, Holly struck up a conversation saying, "So, Trollex, how have y'all been enjoyin' your trip on land"?

Trollex replied, "It's been awesome so far! Aggie has shown me so much of what life on land is like, and I'm enjoying every moment of it."

Aggie then said, "Well, there's still so much more I want to show you. A lot of fun things that I think you'll really enjoy."

Trollex then said, "You know, Holly, when I was visiting Country Corral, Gust told me so much about you."

Holly blushed and said, "Oh, he did"?

Gust blushed and lowered his hat in embarrassment, trying to cover his eyes.

Aggie smiled and said, "Oh yeah! Gust told Trollex about how he thought you were so beautiful and brave and strong. And how you have the best hugs and the sweetest voice in the world."

The blush on Holly's face grew bigger as she looked at Gust, who slowly lifted his hat again while he said, "Uh, whel, it's true; ta me, y'all are the most beautiful Country Troll ay've evuurr met. Y'all are sweet, kaand, caring, ayn' above all: you're special. Ayn' ay wouldn't have ya any othuurr way."

Holly felt so touched, she gave Gust a hug, which he happily accepted and hugged Holly back.

Soon, the waiter came back with their dishes, giving each Troll the plate that they ordered, while saying, "Enjoy your food, fellow customers."

Trollex decided to sandwich, slicing it with a knife and a fork, and eating it, chewing it up before smiling brightly, loving it. Aggie giggled a bit, seeing her "friend" enjoy the sandwich she suggested.

As for Gust and Holly, the two began to eat the dishes they ordered, blowing the chili a bit to cool it off before taking a spoon and scooping some up.

They each took a bite and smiled, enjoying the flavor of the chili, as they continued to eat when Gust looked at Aggie and Trollex, motioning for them to look up, wanting their help.

Aggie and Trollex looked up from their plates and saw that Gust wanted some advice on what to do as Aggie then looked to Trollex, who whispered an idea to her.

Aggie seemed to like the idea as she leaned over and whispered it to Gust, who blushed and asked, "Uh, don't y'all think that maaght be ayy bit much"?

Trollex replied, "It's not much at all. I've seen Techno Troll couples do this back at the reef all the time. It's cute to see them offer food to one another."

Gust looked down at his chili bowl before back at Holly as he blushed, but decided to give the idea a try. He scooped up some chili from his bowl and offered his spoon out to Holly, hoping she at least noticed it.

Holly saw Gust holding the spoon out towards her and asked, "Somethin' wrong with your chili, Gust, sugar"?

Aggie and Trollex bit their tongue, worrying that the idea wouldn't work, before Gust replied, "Huh? Oh naw, nothin's wrong. Ay was just....uh.....offerin' ya some...from me." Holly's cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink as she smiled in awe before looking down at her own bowl of chili and scooped some, holding her spoon out to Gust, who was a little surprised, but felt touched.

Both Country Trolls ended up eating the bite of chili from each other's spoons and looked so adorable, Trollex and Aggie couldn't help but watch in awe while they ate their own food together.

After a night full of food and chatter, four empty plates holding only tiny crumbs littered the table as Holly and Gust were in the midst of a conversation, with what appeared to be Gust telling a funny story to Holly, who was laughing up a storm.

Soon, as Holly's laughter died down, she stated, "Gust Tumbleweed, this here was ayy really great date naaght. Thanks faw a-puttin this here togethuurr."

Gust tipped his hat and pulled a rose out from behind his back while saying, "Y'all are very welcome, Ms. Darling. Only the best faw my special gal," and placed the rose in her hair, making Holly and Gust look at one another fondly.

Seeing the two look so happy together, Trollex whispered to Aggie, "Guess you can say mission accomplished," while Aggie replied, "Yep. This date night was a huge success."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Gust was ready to continue the date alone, Trollex and Aggie decided to leave to let Gust handle this all by himself as part of the wingTroll's job. Since Trollex didn't finish his food yet, he decided to have it take-out.

"It's nice what you did for your friend," Trollex said while holding a box of his leftovers.

"Gust and I were partners when we're still young teenagers, and I always have his back, because he always has mine... until he betrayed me one time," Aggie explained.

Trollex rolled his eyes, "The only best friend I have was Beat. He always has my back... except if he's afraid of my dad."

The two chuckled when they both realized they have friends who tried to support them, but failed in the end.

Trollex turned to Aggie, and thought if he wasn't in love with her, he saw her as a wonderful friend, "You know I... really missed you."

Despite that Gust is her best friend, Aggie thought of Trollex as a true dear friend, "Me too. But whenever I wore this, it's like you're here, my true friend," she said while holding up her necklace.

"Yeah..." Trollex used a plastic fork to taste more the sandwich, "Good thing the Classical tribe accepted take outs, because this is amazing. Glad they have boxes."

Aggie turned to look at the prince, who was eating like a pig, "You should not eat too much. Is that really a good nutritional choice?

"Oh, Troll, don't you start," Trollex now started to think Aggie acted like his parents, "Yeah."

"Yeah, but you're going to be king one day. You should be healthy and strong. I mean, shouldn't you be eating quinoa or kale or something?"

"Oh, I heard about those in books, but this might be a once-in-a-lifetime food that might get rid of my misery. All part of my grand plan to become a leader, and die like Jimmy Trollix, Whinny Trollston and all the rest at a young age."

"How old are you?"

"45."

Aggie's eyes widened when she believed she liked someone older, "Oh. Good to have dreams."

But trollex chuckled, revealing to be joking, "Not really. I'm 20."

"Oh, thank golly. You still have time," Aggie sighed in relief as Trollex chuckled. She then took the box away from him, "Come on. Get rid of that."

"Where...?" Trollex was startled when Aggie took his leftover away, and noticed she offered him her hand.

"Let's go. I've got a surprise for you."

Trollex was unsure if he'll follow Aggie without knowing where they would be going, but he took her hand anyway, and the princess dragged him forward.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As they went on, Aggie decided to keep a low profile so they wouldn't be seen by other Trolls by hiding behind tall structures and Eighth Goats. They were hiding while the princess kept dragging the Techno Prince with her.

"There's something wrong with me, you know. I'm too trusting," Trollex muttered, but Aggie ignored him as he was too excited to show Trollex something.

Inside the stadium, Trollex and Aggie were really quiet to sneak into the place as they walked up the stairs. The Techno Prince was confused why the Magic Musical Princess took him to this place.

"Okay. Now I am intrigued. How are you gonna dispose of my body?" He asked, but Aggie shushed him, "I... am shh-ing."

Aggie quickly took a peek through the glass window before holding her hand like a gun, "Stay back."

The Prince of Techno rolled his eyes, "Are you seriously doing a Mace Bound impression?"

"Now is not the time for unpleasantness," Aggie then opened the door while Trollex followed her from behind, "Now is the time... for winter fun!" She switched the lights on, showing the ice skating rink.

The ice skating rink looked absolutely enormous, especially with the large field of ice that was equivalent to the size of four football fields. Surrounding the ice were large glass window walls that protected the winter floor and acted as a nice viewing spot for the shiny bleachers behind the window glass. There were red and blue poles around the rink that helped to show where each wall was so no skater got confused. Looking past the ice, the walls shined a beautiful gold color and had so many wondrous line designs within the color as well. There were many tall green doors that matched with the complexion of the building, and on the ceiling was a beautiful chandelier that looked just like a Christmas ornament, made with dozens of small light bulbs, and it was even connected by multiple strings of light bulbs as well.

Aggie smiled confidently that she finally showed Trollex what she wanted to show him since Winter Trollstice, "You like?"

"I like, yeah," Trollex answered softly while smiling and nodding.

"Let's go," Aggie dragged Trollex with her.

Aggie put on her ice skating shoes, and tried to find a pair for Trollex, but no shoe fit for a Techno Troll. The princess thought of something for Trollex to skate, but when she saw his fins, she snapped her fingers, realizing his fins can be skating shoes.

Carefully, Aggie pulled Trollex into the rink, and the prince almost slipped down, but the princess never let him go.

"What is this?" Trollex asked, trying to balance himself.

"It's called an ice skating rink," Aggie replied, "Ice is frozen water. They are really slippery, so we need skating shoes, like I'm wearing."

"But why do I need to wear one?"

"Well, they don't have some for Techno Trolls, but your fins are perfect."

"It's a little cold, but I can take it."

Aggie led Trollex onto the ice and she slowly began to show him how to skate on the ice. However, Trollex was shaky and had to feel Aggie's grip to avoid falling. Aggie tried to pull Trolllex towards him so he could try to practice pushing off, but he ended up slipping and falling on his bottom, with Aggie narrowly avoiding landing on top of him. Both trolls broke into laughter as Aggie helped the Techno king stand up so he could try again. Slowly, Trollex got better and could skate without needing to hold Aggie's hand. Every time Trollex got better, he was always looking at Aggie, the same way she was looking at him. Soon, Trollex was able to skate without help, with Aggie smiling in glee. As a special treat, the lair soon started to do a skating routine, dancing along the ice. They glided and spun hand in hand, looking at one another fondly, locked in a trance. Thousands forward, about to kiss, when the lights immediately turned on and someone spotted the lair on the ice.

More of the light lit up as a Classical Troll security entered the rink, "Hey!" This caught the two Trolls' attention as they snapped out of their trance to see the security, "You can't be in here!"

"Sorry, we're leaving!" Aggie exclaimed as she slowly skated away with Trollex.

"Absolutely, we're leaving," Trollex added while trying to skate away without falling, but he almost did.

Using the back door, Trollex and Aggie ran off before they could get captured. They were able to take the bus back to Harmonious Land as they rested on their seats with Aggie taking the skates off.

"I would, uh... I'd call that a successful playdate," Trollex giggled, "Fun, free, illegal, lots of fun."

"Yep!" Aggie agreed.

They still sat down on their seats quietly as it took them 2 hours when they made it to the bus station. When they got off, both Trollex and Aggie walked casually away from the station.

"So, uh, I need to go back before mom and dad find out I was gone," Trollex said.

"Oh, so you didn't use your decoy this time?" Aggie asked.

"I was in a hurry. When I retrieved my phone from my dad's study room, I got your text, saying you needed my help. I can't leave you hanging after 2 weeks of not seeing each other," The Prince of Techno admitted.

The Princess of Magic Musical blushed of it to know how thoughtful Trollex is, and that's one of the things she liked about him, "Well, I, uh, hope we'll see each other again."

"I'll try, Aggie," Trollex patted Aggie's shoulder before turning around, and walked off before murmuring to himself, "I'll try."

He wanted to see Aggie again soon. He was having fun with her... and they almost kissed. She was there right in front of him, and he almost kissed her, but they got interrupted. He did learn a lot from Aggie with snow, snowflakes, and ice. It was so fun. If only they could have more fun often if he wasn't trapped in his father's shadow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Trollex swam back to Techno Reef, he headed to LED Castle. He slowly opened the door, and closed it quietly. He hoped no one saw or heard him entering the castle.

"Trollex!" King Ocean yelled in front of him as the prince yelped, seeing both his parents approaching him, "Where have you been?"

"We haven't seen you around. Not even the guards found you," Queen Seastar asked worryingly.

"Uh..." Trollex couldn't think of something to say to his parents. He can't let them know that he was hanging out with Aggie, or things will get messy, or they might do something horrible to Aggie. He stared at his parents, who were waiting for his answer, but he couldn't find any kind of lie to explain to them.

"It's my fault," Synth cut in as he answered, "I sent him to look for glowing corals for our next rave."

Trollex was confused at first, until he realized Synth was covering for him as he went with it, "Right! Sorry, Synth, I couldn't find them."

"Synth, you know brother has no time to search all over the ocean just for glowing corals," King Ocean said as the parents believed him, and swam off.

While they were gone, Synth winked at his brother, making a sign that he knew where he went.

"Thank you," Trollex whispered as he was grateful that his brother had his back.
