Confessions
Hey guys! I'm back! Sorry it's been a while since I haven't updated this story. I decided to take a break form it because I've got writer's block, but I got a chance to write it again, and I got motivated. I even wrote another project, like Dreamworks' The Bad Guys, and drew some fanarts in Instagram and Twitter. So, this is the new chapter, Please enjoy it. And Happy Aggex Month once again!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5 days after New Year's Eve, Aggie was in her room, pacing around in distress. For these past few days, she's been isolating herself from anyone as she got away from anyone who was looking for her. She wanted some time alone with her thoughts about what happened that New Year. She had been calling since that night, but he wasn't answering her calls and texts. No response. This time, she called him again, and her phone dialed
"Pick up, pick up, pick up," Aggie muttered, but the call went straight to voicemail. "Come on, Trollex, pick up!"
She let out an aggravated noise, and started texting furiously, She had been sending capital messages with exclamation points, but they were never replied. Aggie groaned and threw her phone on the bed. Hot tears formed in her eyes as her face almost turned red with the pressure of sadness boiled in her veins.
"Oh, Trollex. You like me, don't you?" Aggie groaned in guilt as she fell sitting on the edge of her bed. She's been feeling a lot of stress because of that guilt that she let Trollex think she didn't feel the same by not responding to his kiss, "I wish I could say the same when I got the chance."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in Techno Reef, in LED Castle, a week went by, and Trollex was just laying down lifelessly on his clam bed. He felt so stressed and sad about what happened that New Year's Eve. He couldn't believe it. He just kissed Aggie without giving her a heads-up. He was so afraid that if they saw each other face-to-face, he thought Aggie would be so angry at him, and didn't want to be friends with him anymore. He's been receiving text messages and missed calls from Aggie for a whole week, but he didn't answer because we were too afraid. He didn't even give a glimpse of his text messages because he was afraid to see furious messages from her. He didn't even answer her calls for the same reason. Trollex only stared at his phone, buzzing, ringing in soft volume, and lighting up, but he kept his phone hidden so his parents wouldn't notice Aggie calling and texting him. But for the whole week, he was isolated in his room, being quiet, and he never went outside. His parents, Synth, and Beat tried to talk it out, but he kept ignoring them, and didn't allow anyone to enter his room. Because of that, Beat decided to stay in Synth's room, but the button was understandable, despite having no idea what's wrong with his best friend.
One day, King Ocean called the royal doctor to check on Trollex, and this time, he let the doctor enter his room. After an hour of checking out his favorite patients, the doctor came out with the results on his clipboard, and Trollex's family were waiting outside the door.
"How is my son doing?" The King of Techno asked.
The doctor sighed smilingly, "He's been fine. Nothing's wrong with him, but he didn't respond to anything I said. He wasn't emotionally healthy. I think it's better if we give him some space."
"What does that mean, doctor?" The Queen asked worryingly.
"Well, I get the feeling he's been pressured. He needs to rest."
"Nonsense. My son did well on his duties. He was getting ready for the wedding, and he needs to continue. We only have a month left," Ocean stated.
"But your majesty, if you want Prince Trollex to continue, at least give him some time. The prince needs to be healthy for the special event," the doctor explained.
As much as Ocean wanted his son to get ready, he was also concerned for his well-being and health. If Trollex was too stressed and tired to plan, then the king would let him rest for a while. It's for his own good as future king.
"Fine. I'm doing this for him. I'll postpone the wedding until another month. I don't want my son to feel unhealthy on his special day," King Ocean declared.
In his room, Trollex heard his father's words. As much as he's happy that he won't get married soon, Trollex was still unhappy that he messed up his friendship with Aggie. He totally blew it. Postponing the wedding won't make a difference between him and Aggie. He just kissed her, and this shocked her. Trollex hoped that once he would get to see her again, things won't be so different.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The days went by slowly. Aggie tried to block out her frustrated feelings, focused on her work, and kept her eyes settled on that February date. She hoped that he wouldn't try to wiggle out of it somehow. This felt like it was her last shot to make her thoughts known, if he wasn't going to pick up the phone. Days became 2 weeks, but it feels like forever... again! And this is far too much!
At night, Aggie was in her evening gown, ready to sleep. But she wasn't sleepy yet. She was worried for Trollex. Being good friends with him was fine. Having romantic feelings for him was one thing. But got kissed by him? It was something she had dreamed since she had been in love with him. She really missed him. She couldn't sleep while missing him at the same time. Her arms wrapped around herself, imagining her hugging Trollex. She really missed him. Another whole week without him made her feel like she was losing her mind. Oh, she really missed him. Without Trollex, or a call or text from him, Aggie felt a lot of sadness inside. She was just afraid that she might not have a chance to tell him how she felt about him. She loved him, and she still did. She just needed one chance to tell him, but how would she if he wasn't here or answering her calls and texts.
Aggie opened her window, and stared at the stars, and smelled the ocean. The air was so cold, but it didn't bother her. She just needed fresh air to calm down. If Trollex was here, she would show him everything about the night again.
"Trollex..., I missed you. Please come back to me again," she whispered very softly.

As there was nothing else to say for her love, Aggie started to sing softly with the night wind.
Aggie: You were the shadow to my light
Did you feel us?
Another star
You fade away
Afraid our aim is out of sight
Wanna see us
Alive
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Was it all in my fantasy?
Where are you now?
Were you only imaginary?
Where are you now?
In Techno Reef
Under the sea, under the sea
Where are you now?
Another dream
The monster's running wild inside of me
I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded.
Meanwhile, in Techno Reef, Trollex couldn't sleep the same night either. he almost couldn't sleep for 12 days straight. He felt so miserable with guilt. He couldn't stop thinking what Aggie was thinking about that kiss he just gave her. But he really missed her so much. He just wanted to know how she was feeling lately, but he was still afraid to send a message to her or he'll receive a bad reply from her. He couldn't just lay down on bed all the time while thinking about his thoughts on Aggie. He got up from his clam bad, swam towards the window, and opened it. The ocean was really dark tonight with no stars in sight since the stars can been on land. The stars were beautiful in the night sky, especially when he was with Aggie watching them together. But here, in Techno reef, all alone, he could only see small glowing fishes swimming above his kingdom. It was a little boring to Trollex. He could wish he could be on land with Aggie right now, watching the moon and the stars together
Trollex: These shallow waters never met what I needed
I'm letting go, a deeper dive
Eternal silence of the sea
I'm breathing
Alive
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Under the bright but faded lights
You set my heart on fire
Where are you now?
Where are you now?
Then, the screen split into two, showing Trollex and Aggie "coincidentally" singing the same song in duet as their imagination led them into the night sky.
Trollex/Aggie: Where are you now?
In Harmonious Land/In Techno Reef
Above/Under the sea, above/under the sea
Where are you now?
Another dream
The monster's running wild inside of me
I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost, I'm faded
When the song slowly faded to a closing, Trollex and Aggie closed the windows of their bedroom, and headed back inside, hoping that they'll sleep comfortably.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One morning, while Aggie finally came out of her bedroom, she walked down the hall, heading to the dining room to eat breakfast. But, on her way, she noticed her father at the balcony where he was reading letters.
Curiously, Aggie headed out of the window and to the balcony to approach her father, "What's going on, Dad?"
King Galileo was startled by his daughter's presence as he turned to her, "I got letters from the leaders, and they say they wanted to have a royal meeting tomorrow. Everyone should be here."
Aggie nodded silently.
"Every leader, including your good friend, Trollex," King Galileo added, making Aggie's eyes widened. This will be her chance to see Trollex again, "But I suggest you should step aside meeting him. He needs to concentrate for his wedding since he got ill after New Year."
"Wait, he got ill?" The Magic Musical Princess inquired.
"Well, I heard that he wasn't feeling so good a few days after New Year's Eve, but he'll be fine. He'll become king one day, anyway."
As the king walked back into the palace, Aggie was left behind on the balcony, and looked down. Now she understood why Trollex was absent for 2 weeks after that night. She was worried. She has the right to be worried for Trollex. He might be ill because of depression and stress that he went through with the betrothal and the coronation while having feelings for her.
"So that's why you didn't show up or pick up my calls. I hope you're gonna be alright, Trollex," Aggie prayed in her mind. She opened Trollex would be fine when she sees him again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day, all of the Troll leaders finally arrived, especially with their future heirs. King Peppy brought Poppy, King Thrash brought Barb, and King Quincy and Queen Essence brought Prince D since Cooper wasn't interested to take the throne, and he spent his time in Pop Village with his Pop Troll best friends. Delta and Trollzart had no heirs since their kingdoms weren't monarchy, and choosing leaders were dependent on votes of the Trolls. Lastly, the Techno leaders came with their powered fishbowl carts with Trollex. Synth was left behind in Techno Reef with Beat and Laguna. Trollex didn't say a word for the entire trip, but he didn't hesitate to come with his parents for a royal meeting with the other leaders. It's the perfect opportunity to see Aggie again, but he was afraid to see her rage.
At the meeting room where the leaders sat on a huge round table, the heirs would stay behind their parents to observe how to deal with meetings when they become leaders one day.
While Trollex was beside the door and behind his parents, he didn't notice the door was quietly and slightly opened. There was a sound, "psst!" that wanted to get Trollex's attention, but he didn't hear it. The sound "psst!" was heard again, and this time, Trollex heard it, and he turned around. He didn't see anyone calling him.
But all of a sudden, a gray hand snuck in, and grabbed Trollex 'sbowl, pulling him out of the room, and the door closed.
The other Trolls in the room were startled by that sudden sound, and they turned their attention to the door. They noticed nothing or no one was there. That was the point. They noticed Trollex just disappeared without a trace.
"Hey, where's my son?" King Ocean asked.
"Maybe he needs some time alone to get ready for his coronation?" Delta guessed.
"You might be right," the Techno King nodded.
At the hallways, Aggie was behind Trollex's fishbowl as she commanded him to move while she was watching him from behind.
"Aggie...?" Trollex was about to ask Aggie as he was afraid when he turned to see her furious face.
"Just shut up, and keep moving," Aggie said quietly as she stick up his hand that look like a hand gun
"Look, if this is about what happened, I can explain."
"Just keep going! And don't make a sound!"
Seeing Aggie sounded serious, Trollex obeyed her in panic as he kept moving. When the two reached a room with giant doors, Aggie jumped in front of Trollex's bowl to stop him, and opened the door. She gestured to get into the room as Trollex followed her. Aggie quickly got inside, and quickly closed the door.
The room the two Trolls came in was the library. The library was massive, in fact, so massive, it can give a clear echo. There were many rows of bookshelves that stood tall, possessing all kinds of books, old and new, at the ready to be picked up and read, all residing in the middle of the room. Along the walks were even more bookshelves, and seen leaning by some of the bookshelves, approximately 4-8 of them, were sturdy wooden ladders that were used often to reach books that were up on the higher portions of the shelves. The shelves were made of the sturdiest oak wood, and painted a luscious brown with a glossy coat that shined under the light above. There were also a couple of very long tables, filled with many chairs that had soft cushions on their seats, which provided the perfect reading spot for any Troll that entered to read in the library. The books all had various colors of covers, and some of the older ones had tears and/or worn-out marks to show the wear and tear of their use throughout the years, while most of the other books were covered in a thin layer of dust from being untouched for a while.
When they are now alone, Aggie locked the door, and turned to Trollex angrily, "You!"
In panic, Trollex knew he would receive a face like that. Instead of running, he has to face the music. He jumped out of his bowl, and landed on his fins on the floor.
"Look, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to—"
But, all of a sudden, Aggie grabbed him by the shoulders, and turned and pinned him on the wall. He squeaked in surprise when he found out Aggie's lips crashed to his, and he felt himself melting into her arms. It was as if everything suddenly stopped, time frozen, nothing seemed to move in response to what was going on, not that it was important because at the moment, nothing around them seemed to matter. All that truly mattered was that this feeling that both Trolls had, it could only be described as... pure fate. Aggie had her hand on Trollex's chest ever so gently, feeling the Techno Prince's heart beating rapidly from being a little startled, but deep down, surprised, and secretly, very happy, as he laid there on the wall from when Aggie leaned in for the surprise kiss. All this time of close calls, harboring secret romantic feelings for one another, suddenly expressed from both Trolls, and any worries or doubts that they had, planted in their minds by their friends, families, and their people, all seemed to jump out the window, in the moment during their kiss. Aggie breathed in and out through her nose, while she kept her kiss a bit loose in case Trollex was startled and wanted to step back. However, relief flowed through her body and mind when she began to feel Trollex lean his body in towards her and started to kiss her back, with the same amount of energy and passion that Aggie had, and the same way as Aggie, he too kept his kiss gentle, so he wouldn't scare her. He felt the Magic Musical Princess reach her hand up slowly and ran it through his neon green optic fiber-like hair, making the Techno King shiver slightly, not from being cold, but in excitement, and he gently brought Aggie closer to him, almost as if they were sharing a simple hug, holding her close so Aggie could then feel his heartbeat, which was slow and simple, soothing and relaxing. Both Trolls were enjoying the kiss so much that they both smiled when each of them let out a quiet sigh of content, signifying that they were loving this. Both of them now had rapid heartbeats, lost in their romantic fantasies that now felt like they were coming true, and neither one wanted to separate from this long-awaited moment.
Aggie and Trollex both had cheeks that were flushed red and glowing so bright, and during their kiss, they smiled so brightly, feeling nothing but utter happiness with one another. Aggie felt like there was a huge dance party going on in her head, quietly squealing in excitement inside her mind, while Trollex felt like his rapid heartbeat was creating a rave in his chest, not that he wanted it to ever end. Soon, what made the two end their little kiss was the feeling of in case anyone was around, prompting them to end the kiss, but it didn't mean the end of the two Trolls looking into one another's eyes with a surprised, but blissful daze, now more than ever, their feelings for one another stronger, and this time, neither one wanted to leave.
"Wow," Trollex sighed in amazement. He never realized how an amazing kisser Aggie was.
Aggie just grinned while blushing. She was a little embarrassed for showing her aggressive side.
The two stared and smiled at each other for a minute before snapping out to reality.
"Uh, we should go back out there," Aggie stammered while blushing.
Trollex grinned nervously with his face still red, "Y-Yeah, uh, we should... but we will talk soon?"
"Yeah, we will... I'll tell you where," The Princess of Magic Musical nodded.
When Aggie opened the door, he let Trollex got first as he jumped back into his fishbowl, which Aggie found it cute. Trollex exited the room, followed by Aggie.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trollex went back to the meeting room quietly, where the leaders and their heirs noticed him. King Ocean wanted to ask him where he had been, but he didn't want to make a scene in front of everyone, so he and the rest went back to talk about their meeting.
Aggie then came in next as she opened the door really quietly before closing it behind her so she wouldn't get her parents and the other leaders' attention. She tried to avoid eye-contact with Trollex or Poppy, Barb, and Prince D would notice their interaction after their kiss at the library earlier. Aggie was searching for her spot, just behind her parents' seats at the table. When she found it, she sat down quietly, and pretended to behave.
With a chance to glance at Trollex, she made a small smile, and a small wave of her hand at him. Trollex winked at her flirtishly. Gladly, no one noticed the signs.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the meeting, Galileo and Bernadette were inviting the leaders for dinner. When the Trolls went to the dinner table, Trollex and Aggie had time to sneak out of the dining room.
The two Trolls giggled quietly while rushing down the halls. With Aggie running beside him, Trollex was still on his fishbowl cart so he wouldn't leave any clues for his parents to find out he ran off with Aggie. When they made it to the wall where Aggie's secret hideout is, she opened the wall for her and Trollex to get inside, and the wall closed.
When Trollex jumped out of his bowl, he noticed the switch, and flicked it up to turn the light on. At this cue, he was surprised that all Aggie got to do was to hug him really tightly.
"I missed you! Don't ever disappear like that again," the Magic Musical Princess sobbed happily.
Trollex smiled as he wrapped his arms around her tightly, "I won't," he whispered as the two looked into each other's eyes, "So, do you like me?"
Aggie smiled with her eyes sparkled, "Well, I liked you before, but... I've been... liked liked you since we first met."
"I feel the same... so much. I tried to fight it, but... you were a very nice Troll, and I can't stop thinking about you," Trollex combed her hair softly.
"You know, if two Trolls like one another, they don't ignore each other for 2 weeks."
"I know, and I'm sorry."
"What happened to you anyway? Dad said you were ill."
"Ill of feeling guilty," the Techno Prince laughed, but his tone turned to seriousness as the two sat down on the floor, "You know, I'll be honest with you, I was feeling worried that you hated me after we had that kiss on New Year's. When I kissed you, I was so embarrassed. I was so scared. Terrified you hated me and wanted to end our friendship for good because of this. So, I wasn't myself for the 2 weeks. I stayed in my bedroom without saying a word. Synth, Beat, and my parents tried to talk to me, but I didn't tell them everything. I kept myself silent until I was back up again from my bed when I heard from Dad that he and Mom will visit here in Harmonious Land, so it's my chance to see you again... though I didn't expect you to be sneaky."
"Trollex, I could never hate you. Sure, I'll admit you surprised me when we had that kiss, but you know what? I was also...relieved," Aggie admitted shyly.
"Relieved?" Trollex asked.
"Yeah, because well, I was worried that deep down, you...didn't see me as...you know...a love interest. But when, in that moment, we kissed, it's like all the stars in my night sky lined up into a perfect constellation. I like you... a lot. As in... I have strong feelings for you too. I didn't say anything because I thought you don't feel the same way either, and... your dad didn't allow us to be friends again because... I'm some sort of distraction for you." Aggie commented.
"No. You were never a distraction to me," Trollex cooed as he planted a kiss on her forehead.
Aggie then said, smilingly, "I've liked you for quite a while."
Trollex chuckled, "Really? How long?"
"Ever since the day you saved my life if you want me to be really honest," Aggie answered, scratching the back of her head.
Trollex blushed, "Well, I just couldn't let a pretty lady as yourself drown in the hands of those jerks that pushed you. And...as long as we're being honest... I've liked you for a while too. I think it was during that time we spent during the tour you gave me. All those funny moments we shared together, that really got my heart to come to terms with the feelings I thought I didn't have...but were right inside me the whole time. All they just needed... was the right Troll, and lucky for me, she's standing right here...in front of me."
Aggie blushed heavily, but had a huge happy smile, "Wow, that's really poetic. Are you sure you're really a prince and not a poet?"
The two burst out a laughter as they couldn't help but embraced each other while laughing. Then, Trollex's laughter died down as he looked down at his beautiful princess, "But, I have so many questions. How would this work for us? About this? What about our kingdom? My betrothal? The long distance? What if everyone finds out? What if our families find out? What if I'm suddenly king, or you suddenly become queen?"
Aggie thought about this for a moment, and sighed while looking at Trollex once again, "I don't know. But, look, Trollex, I don't know how this will work for us. I just know, I've always been in love with you. I only thought I would be interested in you because you're a Techno Troll, and I want to learn more about you, your culture, and your kingdom. I wanted to be close to you to be... part of your world, and I just thought..." she couldn't hold it anymore. She's been craving for Trollex since that kiss last New Year's Eve, and that kiss in the library, and she wanted more of him again, "Oh, I don't know! I just want to kiss you so bad!"
In that moment, not wanting to wait for his beloved any longer, Trollex moved towards Aggie, the same way he did on New Year's Eve, and locked lips with her, the same way he did up on the balcony when he first kissed Aggie. Aggie couldn't help but smile and "melt" in awe in response to the kiss, enjoying it very much. In return to the kiss, Aggie raised both of her arms up and wrapped them around the back of Trollex's head, almost pushing his head forward so she could deepen the kiss that the two were doing, and Trollex smiled all giddy-like, but held his excitement in, not wanting to let it burst out like a pent-up present.
Suddenly, the moment interrupted when Trollex's phone started to buzz obnoxiously in his hair. Trollex let out a groan as he took his phone from his hair, and checked it out, "Ugh, it's dad," he closed his shell phone.
"What did he say?" Aggie asked.
"It's not important," Trollex smirked as he locked his arms again around Aggie, "Ignore that. It's just you and me," Trollex wrapped his arms around Aggie, and pulled her into another kiss.
it seemed like time whizzed by in an instance, but you could not see it, except for the flurries of instances of kissing that occurred within the timeframe. Trollex just seemed to "explode", letting this drive fueled by his strong love for Aggie control him, making him do what he's only been able to dream of long before he met Aggie. He had gently pinned Aggie against the shelf of her collection, careful not to be too hard in case Aggie ever wanted to break away from it, not that she wanted to anyway, and started to kiss her neck, which made Aggie giggle in excitement. Trollex didn't fully grasp why he was so scared before, especially of the Troll he loved and adored more than anyone in the world. This was it; they were finally here now, and while yes, the future was still uncertain for if they would ever go the next step, both Trolls clung onto the present for dear life, like if it was a rock on the edge of a deep cliffside chasm, and held on tight with every inch of strength, energy, fiber, and heart they had in their bodies, never, ever, wanting to let go.
But then, the two Trolls realized they've been away from the leaders for too long, they were afraid that someone would notice them missing. They decided to pull away from their make-out session as they blushed while trying to avoid eye contact.
"We better head out, not that I want you to, but -," Aggie kissed Trollex one more time as the two blushed and smiled at each other when they broke the kiss.
"I hope I'll get to see your beautiful cute face again," Trollex smooched on her cheek.
The two then headed out of the hideout, and luckily, no one was in the hallway. It's their chance to sneak back into the dining room.
When they arrived, the leaders and the future leaders were having a blast at dinner without noticing Trollex and Aggie were missing. They were so lucky this time, but they had to be careful next time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When dinner was over, it was time for the leaders to go back to their homes. All of the Normal Troll leaders went out of the doors of the Magic Castle, and split up to head to their directions of their homes.
While driving his powered fishbowl cart, Trollex secretly took out his phone, and texted Aggie.
While waving goodbye at the leaders like her parents did, Aggie heard her phone chimed from her hair, and took it out to check who it was. It was from Trollex. She opened her inbox, and read his message.
So, where would be our first date?
Aggie felt like she was on cloud nine as her dream finally came true. Trollex is asking her on a date. This is so exciting! They just need to find the perfect place and a perfect time for them to date without anyone noticing about their new secret relationship. She kept her phone back in her hair, and continued to wave so her parents won't get suspicious.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, out two love birds finally admitted their feelings for each other, and became a couple... in secret *shhh*
I got the idea of the chapter from a Broppy AU story called Royally Screwed by Poppifer from Archive Of Our Own. The story was inspiring for Aggex.
special thanks to MasterClass60 for helping me write the confession scene.
The song doesn't belong to me. This is a parody song of "Faded" by Alan Walker, with lyric changes.
I hope you like this new chapter. I'm still working on the other ones while working for another story. Please review for feedback.
