After a 20 minute lecture from your mom about how 'you haven't even been here a day and you're already doing illegal things', and how 'you could be doing much better things with your intelligence than this', Aunt Cass invited her for a cup of coffee in the kitchen, and the women had struck up conversation quickly. Meanwhile, you, Hiro, and Tadashi were in the living room watching the TV.

"Tadashi, we said we're sorry." Hiro said and Tadashi looked over at you and Hiro briefly, then back at the TV.

"I forgive you, but I'm still upset." Tadashi responded and Hiro frowned.

"C'mon, bro, we didn't do anything illegal. We're not hurt or anything, either. Don't be upset." Hiro said and you looked down on your phone, distracting yourself with (app). You felt awkward around Tadashi because every time he looked at you, he had a disapproving look on his face, like he was your older brother too and was disappointed in you, too.

"You ok?" Hiro asked from next to you on the couch. You looked up, confused.

"Me?" you ask. Hiro looks at you with a goofy smile.

"Yeah, you. You've been on your phone since your mom went into the kitchen with Aunt Cass, and you haven't said a word. What's up?" Hiro asks and you look at Tadashi, who is luckily looking at the TV and not you.

"Can we...talk in private?" you ask Hiro quietly and he nods, grabbing your wrist and taking you upstairs. Unknown to you, Tadashi gets curious and follows.

"Ok, what's up?" Hiro asks once you're up in his and Tadashi's shared room.

"Hm?" you ask, playing the dumb card. Hiro gives you a 'you're-not-fooling-me' look and you sigh.

"I just...I feel like I've disappointed my mom even more now. We just moved here and I'm already getting in trouble. And I feel like Tadashi...kinda doesn't like me, so I feel really awkward now when we're around him." you say and Hiro gives you a sympathetic look before walking over to you and giving you a hug.

"(Y/N), you're not disappointing your mom. She loves you, and I know she's proud of you. And why would Tadashi not like you? You're awesome! He's a little disappointed in both of us, just because he feels like I'm being a bad influence to you. But he doesn't hate you, I promise." Hiro says and Tadashi, who definitely wasn't eavesdropping, decides to make his presence known.

"(Y/N), I do like you. I promise. I just don't want you and the knucklehead here to take the wrong path in life. You're both incredibly smart, and you should use it to your advantage. In school, not bot fighting." Tadashi says and walks over to you. He gives you a hug and then looks at you and Hiro.

"Hey, how about I take you and the knucklehead to my school tomorrow? I can show you my lab, introduce you to my friends. It'll be fun." Tadashi suggests and you smile. It sounds like fun. Hiro, on the other hand, looks uninterested.

"Your nerd lab? Thanks, but-" Hiro starts to say, but you cut him off.

"We'd love to!" you say and Tadashi smiles, while Hiro looks at you incredulously.

"Cool. I'll go ask Aunt Cass and your mom." Tadashi says and heads downstairs. As soon as he's gone, Hiro turns to you.

"You really wanna go to his school, (Y/N)? Doesn't that sound boring?" Hiro asks and you smile and stick your tongue out at him.

"No, I think it'd be fun. Maybe we could go there together one day." you say and Hiro tries to glare playfully at you, but ends up smiling.

"Yeah. Maybe." he says and Tadashi comes back upstairs.

"They thought it would be a great idea. (Y/N), you're allowed to sleep over here since your room isn't set up yet. And since tomorrow's Saturday, we can sleep in a little, then go." Tadashi says and you and Hiro both nod.

"So, uh, where am I gonna sleep? I can take a couch." you say and Tadashi shakes his head.

"No way. You're our guest. You can sleep with Hiro." Tadashi says and both you and Hiro's eyes bulge out of your heads.

"What?!" you both say. Tadashi laughs.

"Calm down, you don't have to cuddle or anything." Tadashi teases and you both blush. Tadashi gets you a pair of Hiro's pajama pants and a t-shirt, which both happen to fit you almost perfectly.

You climb into bed and Hiro climbs in on the other side. You awkwardly shuffle underneath the covers, and turn your back to Hiro. You're dozing off to sleep when arms wrap around your waist and pull you backwards. You shriek in surprise and turn to face a laughing Hiro. You punch him in the stomach and scoot back over. But Hiro pulls you back again, and you give up, just laying there. To make it more comfortable, you turn the other way so you're facing Hiro, and he puts his chin on your head.

"I'm glad we became friends. Even if it was under bad circumstances." Hiro says, and you smile.

"I'm glad we did, too. And for the record, I totally saved your butt from those guys." you say and Hiro scoffs.

"Ok. Sure." And with that, you both fall into a peaceful sleep, with Tadashi looking up from his book at you two snuggled up together, a smile on his face.
