Rotten To The Core {Jay x Reader}

You wandered through the market on the Isle of the Lost, wreaking havoc on the shopkeepers and their stands like you did every morning.

As you were running from a fruit stand that you just tipped over, you ran right into someone and fell backwards. The person you hit had also fell backwards. You noticed it was a boy, but you couldn't see his face since his beanie was knocked over his eyes. You quickly rushed over and helped him up.

"Oh my gosh watch where you're-Jay?" you asked in surprise as the boy fixed his beanie. You recognized him as Jay, son of Jafar, another troublemaker who liked to wreak havoc in the market like you. You were the daughter of The Queen of Hearts, so you were known to be cruel and merciless...sometimes. Only when you got mad, like your mom.

"Oh, (Y/N), didn't see you there. Hey, let's run, shall we?" Jay said and grabbed your hand, pulling you after him, away from the angry shopkeepers. You both ran into a run-down, abandoned building and sat down, catching your breath. You heard the shopkeepers running past you and sigh in relief.

"So, what were you up to today? Why were you causing chaos too?" you asked as you smoothed down your messy red hair.

"Well, you've heard that me, Evie, Carlos, and Mal were invited to attend that stupid Auradon Prep to prove that we're not 'evil like our parents'. I figured I'd cause one last big mess before I leave," Jay says and you look at him in surprise.

"You're leaving...to go to that snob school?" you ask incredulously. Jay sighs and nods.

"Our parents want us to...do something while we're there. Something really evil, so we don't really have a choice," Jay says and you look at him curiously.

"What do they want you to do?" you ask and Jay motions for you to lean in.

"They want us to steal the Fairy Godmother's wand so that way they can rule Auradon," Jay says and you gasp quietly.

"Steal the Fairy Godmother's wand? Are they crazy?" you almost shout and Jay covers your mouth with his hand.

"Keep it down! We don't need all the villains on the Isle to know!" Jay whisper-shouts and you nod, his hand still covering your mouth. He stands up and offers you a hand.

"Promise me you want tell anyone. If Maleficent knows the plan was spilled, it'll be off with our heads," Jay says with a smirk and you scowl at his pun.

"Oh, boo!" you say but laugh. "My mom would've loved  that joke," you say and Jay smiles.

~Time Skip~

Today's the day. The day that Jay, Evie, Mal, and Carlos leave for Auradon Prep. You promised Jay you'd be there when he leaves to say goodbye. And that's how you ended up standing in front of Jay with a sleek black limo ready to take the four teenagers.

"Be careful. I don't want you guys to get caught, or to fail and face the wrath of your parents," you say worriedly and Jay flashes you a reassuring smile.

"Then I guess I'll have to not let that happen," he says and you nod, trying to reassure yourself.

"Promise me you'll come back soon, too, okay?" you ask and Jay pulls you in for a hug and kisses the top of your head.

"I promise. And by the way, when I get back, I'm gonna take you on an awesome date to celebrate," Jay says and you stare at him in shock.

"A...date?" you ask and Jay smiles, grabbing your hand and intertwining your fingers with his.

"Yeah! That's what you do with someone you like, right?" Jay says and before you even have time to process what just happened, he gave your head one last kiss and slid into the limo with the other three of your friends.

As the limo drives away, you stop to observe the irony. The daughter of the Queen of Hearts...just had her heart stolen. And as Jay looks back at you through one of the limo's windows, he realizes your heart is his favorite thing he's stolen.
