"Okay. By the sound of that I'm going to assume that you're nowhere near fine so I'm not even going to ask." Jenni started, breaking the silence in the most non-therapeutic way. "I know I'm supposed to shut up and feel sorry for being caught with you but let me just say this. Chase after her, you fool!"
"She's gone and she won't listen to me right now." I said coldly. "There's no point."
"What made her think that we're together? I mean us being physically in one room doesn't mean we're having sex, right?" She added and it was the only thing that made sense right now. "You don't think your mom told her something again?"
That was one possibility. My mother hated Mara and I know she would do anything to make me divorce her but it never occurred to me that she would resolve it this way. I grabbed my keys and headed out the door with Jenni following behind me. She and I decided to separate ways since she's not so interested to watch me have a confrontation with my mother.
"I was really looking forward to meeting her but it seems like I always catch you two in a bad time. It sucks but what can I do. I'm just an innocent bystander caught between a marital issue." Jenni shrugged her shoulders as she got in her car, "Well then, I gotta go. I hope you fix this misunderstanding with your wife because being a mistress is not my thing. See you around, Park."
I got into my car when she left and drove to my parents' mansion. On my way there, I tried calling Mara's phone and, of course, she doesn't answer her phone. What was I thinking? She wouldn't talk to me, not when she's thinking that I'm cheating on her. I threw my phone on the passenger seat and stepped on the accelerator, gaining speed. My fingers gripped around the steering wheel tighter, my blood boiling as the familiar facade of my childhood home came into view.
The gates were opened and I drove the car inside, parking it right in the middle of the pathway. I got off and stormed inside, catching one of the maids, "Where's my mother?"
"In her room, sir." She led me there and opened the door for me.
My mother was tending to her potted plants at her balcony. She noticed me and knew right away why I came, "I told you she's not for you."
"So it really was your doing?" I glared at my own mother as she calmly sprayed at the petals of her flowers, "What did you tell her?"
"I told her the truth." She looked at me. "I told Mara that you are with Jenni. It's not my problem anymore that she took it the wrong way."
"Mom!!" I shouted, fist clenched tight. "Why do you keep forcing me to do what you want? I am not going to marry anyone. I'm staying with Mara. I'm going to make my own decisions from now on and if you can't accept that then you might as well disown me."
"Jimin!" She called after me when I walked away, "Come back here! I'm your mother! You do not just disrespect your own mother like this!"

| mara's point of view
I've ignored like a hundred calls from Jimin for the past two days. It felt wrong for not hearing him out but I can't talk to him yet. I want to face him when I'm ready to listen to him again, right now, I don't think I'll even be able to look at his face. I'm not angry anymore, in fact, I felt really bad, worse because I miss him. I miss him so much and Taehyung been asking about him lately and I'm running out of reasons. I shouldn't be doing this to him. He's just a kid and he doesn't deserve this.
I watched Tae still sleeping beside me. He reminds me so much of Jimin with his eyes closed. I slowly pull his thumb away from his mouth, he moved a bit but he didn't wake up. I brush his hair softly to the side and thought about what I should do next. He still needs him.
I was the first to wake up so I left Tae to sleep longer and made my way to the kitchen. Hoseok and Isabel's room was down at the end of the small hallway. I don't even want to know what they're doing in there, they could still be sleeping or doing something else that's totally not for me to mind. The buzzer sounded and I wondered who it might be.
It took me a long time to answer it. I had one person in my mind as I neared the door but when I opened it, he wasn't there. There wasn't anyone around except for a bouquet of flowers on the doorstep. I stepped out in my robe to pick it up when a call came on my phone.
Jimin. The caller ID displayed. I answered it after a few long rings, placing the phone beside my ear.
"I miss you." was the first words he said. I didn't speak. I just listened to him and the silence in the background.
"I'm in front of Hoseok's house. In my car." He added. "I won't keep this long. I was hoping to see your face but I guess I won't be able to do that today. You're still angry at me.."
"Well, at least let me see Taehyung.. I want to spend time with him today. He's my son too." Jimin stepped out of the car. I was tempted to face him but my pride was preventing me from doing anything.
"Why.. aren't you even trying to explain?" I began, hearing the end of the line become silent but I could hear his breaths. "Does that mean that it's true?"
"I'm only waiting for you." He said, "To be ready to hear me out. If you are, then I'll be waiting right here.."
It was cold outside. I don't know what made me do it but I stepped out and looked over the balcony that faced the street. I spotted his car right away. He was leaning onto it, holding his phone to his ear just like what I'm doing.
"Goodmorning, my pretty flower." He sent me a smile and a small wave.
"You haven't answered me yet." I said, looking down at where he was. "Is it true? Did you and Jenni.."
"No." Jimin cut me off, watching me from a distance. "If you're still doubting me, come down."
"For what?" I questioned. I was hesitating, "No. You're just distracting me so I wouldn't hang up. I'm going inside. Bye-"
"Don't you want to know if I'm telling the truth?" Jimin stopped me from ending the call. "I'll tell you the truth. You told me that you trusted me."
I ended up falling for his trap as I made my way down to meet him outside. When I was out of the gate, I pulled my robe closer together to protect myself from the cold morning air before I crossed the street and stopped before him.
"Now tell me the truth." I told him with my arms crossed over my chest. "I'm going to listen this time."
Jimin gave me a warm smile, a look that says he got me all figured out, which annoyed me so much because it's true. He knows how to make my heart doubt my own words.
"This is the truth." Jimin said before put his hand behind my neck and placed his lips on mine. His mouth warmed me up, his heat radiating throughout my body, leaving me so breathless when he broke the kiss, "Just how many times.. How many times do you want me to repeat this for you to believe me. I did not cheat on you nor will I ever. I love you, Mara st. Claire."
Jimin placed another kiss on my forehead as he locked me in his arms, "Tell me.. When did I ever lie to you?" He brushed my hair gently, "Come back to me, Mara. Please. I'll explain everything." He kissed my hand.
I smiled up at him, "You know just what to say to me, don't you?"
"Uh, excuse my intrusion but when you're done, can you return the mother of this cute, sunshine child because he's hungry and I have no idea what he wants." Hoseok was out in the balcony, carrying Taehyung who seemed like he just woke up.
"Sorry. I forgot this hot girl has a kid." Jimin replied to my brother, making me smile. He waved at our son, "Mommy and Daddy will come up in a second."
"What is mommy and daddy doing down there?" Taehyung asked Hoseok, holding his teddy close.
"They're watering the flowers, little one, because the flowers are hungry in the morning too." Hoseok answered him with a smile. "Come on, let's go inside. We don't want your cute little bunny nose to freeze."
