Jaeseong groaned as the rays of sunshine hit him in the face. He shut his eyes tightly to try and block out the bright light. His mind swam through molasses as he groggily tried to wake up. He's never been much of a morning person and even with his grogginess he was already planning to kill whoever had left the blinds open. The young man rolled onto his other side grumpily to escape the offending light. He shivered slightly at the cold bed sheets, which only woke him up more. Jaeseong let out a dejected sigh of defeat as he accepted his cruel fate and woke up.

Almond eyes blinked blearily open as they struggled to focus. Jaeseong felt his body slowly waking up but his mind was struggling to keep up. The bed had warmed up by Jaeseong's body heat by the time his eyes finally adjusted to the luster of the sun.

The first thing Jaeseong noticed was how messy the room was. It wasn't a pig's sty but it looked well used and like someone lived there. The blonde in the bed prided himself in being very neat and hardly ever unpacked his things so he wouldn't lose anything. That's why his brow furrowed in confusion as he noticed piles of clothing neatly folded on the shelf across from him. With a groan Jaeseong rolled onto his back and threw an arm across his eyes. Frustration simmered in his stomach while he struggled to remember what he had done last night. He definitely hadn't gotten drunk because Taeyeon doesn't even let him near alcohol. If he had to guess, he'd say he'd been so tired from practice that he'd collapsed in another member's room instead of his own. Jaeseong let out another groan as he realized the earful he was going to get from Hanbin for stealing a bed again.

Gingerly, Jaeseong sat up and moaned as he stretched his surprisingly sore muscles. He nearly yelped when he felt another stab from the sun hit his eyes when he tried to open them. With a growl the young man ripped off his warm cocoon of blankets so he could stalk over to the window and close the curtains, thanks to which ever dumbass forgot to close them. His eyes stayed closed so he wouldn't go blind from the scalding rays.

Jaeseong stomped across the hotel room. Blind except for touch, he stopped once his feet touched the wall. He angrily reached out to slam the curtains shut but instead of soft cloth like he'd been expecting, Jaeseong's hands grabbed at nothing and the feeling of falling punched him in the stomach.

The blonde let out a startled scream as his eyes flew open. Air began to rush past him until his instincts kicked in and he grabbed the glass railing resting against his abdomen. Jaeseong's ragged breathing filled the room as he stared wide eyed down at the good fifteen foot trip that he had almost just taken to the floor. The dark wooden floor taunted him from below.

Jaeseong's knuckles were white from his tight grip on the glass barrier. His eyes were wide with fear as he slowly lifted himself from the 90 degree angle that he had been in a moment ago. His body shook slightly from his close meeting with death. The young man was now very much awake.

Taking a moment to collect himself, Jaeseong finally looked up to observe his surroundings. Immediately he noticed the huge window that filled the wall opposite of him. The lower, larger part of the window had a real curtain culled in front of it so the idol couldn't see the view. There were two smaller windows above the larger one which allowed the sun to stream in and straight onto the bed Jaeseong had just been sleeping on.

Alarm began to slowly fill Jaeseong as he looked around the "room". The railing he was still gripping onto acted as a sort of wall to a small loft bedroom that looked out over what seemed to be a living room. Jaeseong could make out a couch, small dining table, and desk in the room below him. Jaeseong had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that this most DEFINITELY was not a hotel room. Drying clothes and other various personal belongings were scattered over the room making it obvious that it was an apartment of some kind.

Jaeseong nearly screamed again when the thing he had thought to be a blanket on the couch moved. The blonde still had some dignity left though so he didn't. Jaeseong took a nervous step back as the thing, clearly a person and most likely his kidnapper, sat up. The curtains on the lower half of the window cast the room below him into darkness so Jaeseong could only make out a black outline of a person.

Taking another step back, Jaeseong hissed in surprise as his nerves finally processed the cold floor under his bare feet. Realizing his mistake too late, Jaeseong froze and listened for the man on the couch. The apartment was deadly quiet for a moment before the rustling of fabric got louder and a soft thump had Jaeseong scrambling over the bed and into the corner. He curled up as much as he could behind the short bed but he wasn't exactly a small person and his bright white shirt and hair was hard to miss under the sun (though last time Jaeseong checked he owned a pair of silk pajamas but now wasn't the time to think about that).

The quiet pounding of padded feet leisurely made their way up the stairs that Jaeseong hadn't seen before. Jaeseong's heart pounded in his ears in fear. The young man was proud to say he wasn't scared of a lot of things but to be fair the idol had just been kidnapped so his fear was very much rational.

The feet paused at the top of the stairs and Jaeseong held his breath in hopes that the kidnapper would eventually leave. After what felt like hours, he let out a sigh of relief that the man had gone.

As Jaeseong was about to move to stand a face popped over the edge of the bed and peered down at him.

Jaeseong let out another scream of shock causing the person on the bed to yell in surprise. Both boys went flying backwards, still screaming. Another soft thump was heard before the apartment went silent again.

Jaeseong's breath was heavy with fear as he curled tightly into the corner of the room.

Suddenly a rush of adrenaline kicked in as Jaeseong abruptly stood up and approached the other body who was laying on the ground. Before he could speak the boy on the ground sat up and smiled brightly at him.

"Good morning!!" A melodic voice exclaimed.

Jaeseong blinked in surprise. The boy couldn't be much younger than him. He didn't look at all like how Jaeseong had imagined his kidnapper. His hair was a perfect description of bed head stood up in different directions but still made him look cuter. His auburn eyes sparkled in the sun and looked like little pools of water. Or giant, sparkling anime eyes, Jaeseong wasn't quiet sure which one it was yet. The boy's smile was nearly as bright as the sun and Jaeseong almost moved to cover his eyes while looking at him. The boy's front teeth were slightly crooked and with the fluffy grey blanket wrapped around him he looked like a baby bunny. He radiated pureness and it was making Jaeseong slightly uncomfortable.

"Uh.... Good morning?" The idol asked confused as the boy looked up at him expectantly. Apparently that was the right answer because bunny boy's eyes shone brighter (some how) and he scrambled to stand up.

"Hi my name is Kihyun!! It's so amazing to meet you," the boy grabbed Jaeseong's hand and began to shake it violently. Normally, Jaeseong would have pulled away instantly if a stranger touched him but he was too busy looking the other up and down in shock. Kihyun, who Jaeseong could have sworn was smaller, now stood at eye level with him and it was really throwing the blonde off.

But even with his unreasonably fluffy hair, and bunny teeth, Jaeseong quickly snapped to his senses.

"Where the hell am I and who are you??" Jaeseong growled at the other. Kihyun didn't seem fazed by Jaeseong's harsh comments and a twitter of a laugh even seeped through his lips.

"I told you," the light voice spoke again, "I'm Kihyun. As for where you are, do you really not remember??" The boy cocked his head to the side and regarded Jaeseong with concern. The idol almost growled at the scrutinizing gaze. He never liked it when people looked it him closely. It was like they were looking for his flaws and that just wasn't ok.

"No, I don't f-" Jaeseong hissed only to cut himself off as he suddenly did remember. The trip took see his brother. His mother and brother scowling at him. The rain. The cold. The fear. The sense of dying.

Jaeseong's world began to spin and he collapsed onto the bed with a moan. He pressed the heels of his hand into his eyes to try and block the horrid memories but it was like a dam had broken and they were all flowing back to him. For the first time in a while he kind of felt like crying which only made anger bubble up inside more. He felt the bed dip slightly as Kihyun sat next to him. The brunette moved to wrap his hands around Jaeseong in a hug but the blonde immediately slapped them away and stood up in distaste. He didn't like skin ship, especially when he felt venerable so there was no way he was starting now. Jaeseong ignored the look of hurt that passed over Kihyun's face for a moment before he was back to his obnoxiously cheerful self.

"Look kid I don't know if you know who I am but-" Jaeseong began but was quickly cut off.

"We're the same age,"

Jaeseong stiffened in surprise as Kihyun spoke while standing. He was once again floored by how the bunny boy was somehow his height and the fact that he interrupted him. No one ever interrupted Jaeseong and he really didn't like the feeling. Jaeseong was really beginning to dislike the boy in front of him. He making him feel things that he hadn't felt in a long time and he did not like it one bit.

Sparkling auburn met sharp almond and the two had stared at each other silently for a while. Jaeseong's glower was countered by the sunlight coming from Kihyun and it only soured his mood more. There was no way this boy was the same age as him he looked like he was seventeen and envy stirred for a moment in the pit of Jaeseong's stomach.

"I'm not stupid, I know who you are," the singsong voice laughed. "You're Jaeseong from Charm, the singer, rapper, dancer, song-writer, and maknae of one of the most popular idol groups in the world. I'd be stupid or a hermit if I didn't know who you were. Your birthday is February 20th, 1998 and seeing as it's almost April that means you've already turned nineteen so that means we're the same age until September." Kihyun's bright innocent smile was back on his face though there was a pinch of smugness lacing his voice that pissed Jaeseong off a bit. The feeling was over powered by pride at the fact that Kihyun knew who he was.

'He's right though, why wouldn't he know,' Jaeseong thought with a smirk, Kihyun's worlds pleasing him.

"Then I'll get to call you "kid"," Kihyun cheered excitedly, throwing Jaeseong from his high horse. With a growl Jaeseong stalked away from the boy and annoying smile.

"I don't care if you worship my feet, I need to leave and get back to the entertainment," Jaeseong lied. He knew very well he couldn't go back because there was nothing to go back to but he couldn't stand being around bunny boy and it was worse that he was probably a crazed fan.

"Hey wait!!" Kihyun cried as Jaeseong stomped down the stairs. His pink fluffy socks pounded softly after Jaeseong's own bare feet down the stairs. The ex-idol noticed his clothing hanging on the drying rack so he quickly grabbed them and turned to head out the door.

"I said wait!!" Kihyun repeated as he slid to stand between Jaeseong and the door.

"You can't go back!! I thought you left," Kihyun pouted and his eyes shimmered with confusion. Jaeseong stopped in his tracks and not just because of Kihyun. For a moment he was tempted to push the other to the side and simply walk out of the apartment but reality had been sinking into the blonde and he was tired of fighting. There was nothing he could do and he knew he'd never be accepted back after what he'd done. Jaeseong looked away from Kihyun defiantly and locked his emotions away. He wouldn't let this emotional boy see his emotions. He wouldn't let anyone see them. Knowing he'd won Kihyun smiled at Jaeseong sympathetically.

"Let me see if I have anything for breakfast," Kihyun hummed thoughtfully. Jaeseong ignored him and continued to brood and stare at the corner of the room numbly.

The sound of a door opening startled Jaeseong from his moping and caused the two boys to look up. With the apartment still in slight darkness from the large curtain Jaeseong had to squint down the hallway to the front door. He could just make an outline of a head and a pair of slim shoulders. Jaeseong tightened his hold on his clothes in concern over the stranger but apparently Kihyun knew who it was.

"Sully!!!!" Kihyun screamed, making Jaeseong jump, and then running towards the figure at full speed. The figure looked up from where they were taking off their shoes. The stranger dropped the bags it was hold and caught the smaller boy as he leaped into his arms. Jaeseong watch in concern and disgust as the taller of the two (Sully was it?) spun Kihyun around in a hug in the tight front hallway. At least, Jaeseong was pretty sure that was what was happening, it was too dark to see.

'I need to get out of here,' Jaeseong thought desperately as he turned to look away from the seemingly touching moment. If he needed to go back to where he belonged; the spotlight of the stage. He needed the bright lights on his face and the sweat on his back and the feeling of his members besides him. He needed to go to the cries of millions of fans and blinding waves of light sticks.

But first he needed to get out of the darkness of this room.
