I was successful in getting rid of 5 such matches, in the same way. I was happy and proud of myself, but at the same time, I was scared. I  can’t do this any longer. Eventually, my parents would  come to know about my plan. Then I would seriously fall in trouble, since  they know  that, I don’t have a lover. They would ask me the  reason for lying and I don’t  want to hurt them. I was getting sick and tired of all this business. But I need to do something soon.

I was deeply lost in thoughts, when my dad called me. I  knew the reason. Nowdays, this  has been the only hot topic at home. I sighed  and went to meet him.

“Siri! I am really worried  about you. I don’t understand why none of the matches are  working out. I am getting tired.”

I felt guilty. I did not want to  trouble them anymore. But I couldn’t get ready for marriage either. So I decided to stay genuine. I can’t trouble them anymore. I felt sad.

“It’s okay! Don’t worry, until now; we have not found her a perfect match. But I feel, now  is  the time, next one shall be the right one for her.”

My mother encouraged  my dad and I  smiled.

“Yeah dad.  Don’t worry.” I was about to leave to my room, when my  parents called.

“ Siri, do you have any one or anything in mind?”

I was  shocked. But I recovered soon. “Nothing like that. I am perfectly alright with anything you people decide.” I smiled.

“Are you sure? It is regarding your life.”

“Mom! Dad! You gave me this life. You made me what I am today. You can take the best decisions regarding my life. I  am perfectly fine with anything.  I trust you and I  will never blame you people for anything. I love you and you are the best.” I hugged them and wiped their tears.  Then I left to my room. 

I lay on my bed, thinking about my fate. I finally fell asleep.
