Max and I walked to the beach in silence. Music and shouting could be heard as we neared the ocean. Soon a large group of people gathered around a large fire came into view. Small buildings with bathroom signs were close. Max handed me my bikini and pointed towards one of the buildings

"Go change over there," Max said, I nodded and ran off. I opened the doors to the bathroom, there were two girls inside,

"Woah who are you," one girl said

"I haven't seen you around," the other one said

"Oh uh," I started

"It's okay we won't snitch," the second one said again "We snuck out too,"

"Her name is Beatrice and mine is Samantha," the first one said,

"O-oh my name is Macy," I said and quickly slipped into a stall and got changed. Once I was done Samantha and Beatrice, were smiling

"Hey you can chill with us," Samantha said

"Oh uh I uh," I started

"Do you have a boyfriend or something," Beatrice asked "he can hang with us too,"

"Oh uh I guess," I said and we walked out of the bathroom, I saw Max leaning against the boys bathroom. I walked up to him, before I got there Beatrice stopped me

"Oh my god is that him," she asked

"Well yeah," I replied

"You are soooo lucky," she said, I blushed and Max looked at me funny

"Who are these people," he asked shyly, I shrugged my shoulders

"They want to hang out with us," I said, the blood drained from his face

"Oh we need to go over here, our friend just got here, we'll catch up," Samantha said, they ran to another girl. Max grabbed my wrist and dragged me away to a place on the beach where there weren't a lot of people.

"I've never been in the ocean," he said, I nodded and walked up to the edge of the water. Small waves splashed onto my feet. I got a sudden burst of excitement and ran into the ocean. I fell causing me to become fully submerged in the water. I smiled resurfacing, Max ran out into the water to and swam over to me.

"It's cool," I said, Max nodded and smiled. I looked up and him, he put a hand on my arm. I blushed slightly, Max put his other hand on my cheek as he leaned towards me. I held my breath afraid to breathe, my heart pounded out of my chest as he got closer, then, he pressed his lips gently against mine. My blush became a much darker shade of red. I kissed back, Max smiled into the kiss. I put my hands around Max's neck, trying my best to go with the flow. Max bent down and wrapped his arms around me pulling me into his chest. He broke the kiss and pushed his head into my neck. I played with his wet hair as he held me

"I regret this," Max said into my neck

"What," I asked

"I feel like I am going to lose you if I get close," Max replied

"I won't ever leave," I said trying to cheer Max up. Max tightened his grip on me, I wrapped my arms all of the way around Max.

"Okay," he said pulling away, I hadn't realized how safe I felt in Max's arms. I felt alone without him, I didn't like the feeling. I grabbed my arm, contemplating on these new feelings. I looked to the side and sighed "Is there something wrong," Max asked

"No it's just," I paused trying to choose my words carefully, "It's, just" I shook my head and looked back over at Max, he looked at me with worry. I smiled and shook my head "It's just I've never really suck out to go do something,"

"Oh," Max said "Well we will have to do it again," He added

"For sure," I replied, Max looked at me, then shook his head.

"I want to stay here, forever," He said

"Me too," I sighed

"Let's make the most of it," Max suggested, before I could process what he was saying, Max was kissing me again. And for the first time, I got the butterflies
