Chapter 11

"All right! The decorations are now set, are the foods and gifts ready as well?" Y/N asked one of the people who he hired to work on the party.

"Yes sir, they are all on the table. All that's left is the cake, the chef is still baking it though." He answered.

"Good, good. Be sure to keep an eye for visitors. I'll be seeing the birthday inn the meantime." He said as  he walks away and enters inside the house.

Walking up the stairs, he began to hear a faint noise. He assumed that it was Emma happily talking about the outfit his daughter is going to wear, he couldn't help but smile when his thought was correct.

Entering in one of the bedrooms, Emma can be seen brushing and braiding Blake, the daughter whose special day is today. Sylvia was standing near them with Ruby in her arms while as for Weiss and Yang, the two of them only stared at their faunus sister with admiration.

Y/N himself was surprised at his daughter's beautiful yet cute appearance. Walking towards Blake, he made her look at him and smiled.

"Ain't my daughter is just the cutest. So you like how aunt Emma made you look?" He asked her.

"Uhuh! I love it! Thanks auntie." She looks at Emma and beams.

"You're welcome, sweetie. Anything for my cute niece." Emma replies.

"I'm cute too! Just like daddy said!" Weiss yelled out.

"Yes you're cute too, all of you. So don't worry Weiss." Y/N rubs her head.

"Okay! You're good to go! I'm so happy I get to have a niece like you." Emma exclaimed as a single tear dropped from her eyes.

"Let's go downstairs now, shall we? Oh and Sylvia can you help me check how's the cake doing? I'll hold Ruby while you're at it." He told her.

"Got it, sir." She gently hands Ruby to him and quickly walked down the stairs.

Blake, Weiss and Yang all run down the stairs with smiles on their faces. Y/N called for them to be careful and sighed with a small smile. Ruby was busy sucking and playing with her pacifier so she was oblivious to everything around her.

They reached the bottom floor and are  now inside the living room. He placed Ruby down on the carpeted floor and let her walk around there. Emma told him she would look after her while he checks on the cake.

Thanking her, he walks to the kitchen and saw Sylvia and the chef assigned to bake the cake.

The cake was almost done and ready to be served, both Sylvia and Y/N smiled and walked out of the kitchen after having a brief discussion.

Arriving outside, the tables and chairs are set. Some visitors had already come and were greeting Blake a happy birthday. Most them are the girls' schoolmates and their parents accompanying them.

In about ten minutes later, everything was set. The cake, the gifts, the party. Blake can't be more happy seeing all of this before her eyes.

Everyone started by gathering and singing the little faunus the usual Happy Birthday song. Blowing the candles and clapping for her, the adults decided to fill their stomachs first while talking to one another and as for the children, the hired entertainer was busy keeping them from being bored.

On the side, there stood Y/N with Sylvia beside her, smiling at the lovely sight.

"Good thing this went smoothly well. Now I have to prepare for three more birthday parties in the next few months." He sighs.

"But at least they get to experience that kind of thing. If they still were orphans, they might not get to experience this sooner." Sylvia smiled.

"Guess you're right. You aren't getting pretty stressed with taking care of the girls, are you?" He asked.

"Not at all, sir. Well, it can be tiring but the children do help me feel relieved at times." She explained.

"I see. Then that means you're doing a pretty good job in babysitting, I'm going to be raising your income for that." Y/N chuckled.

"What?! But you don't have to. What I'm receiving is already enough." Sylvia protests.

"You deserve it anyway. Why don't we enjoy the party alongside with them?" He suggested.

"Sure thing." Sylvia agreed.

"Mama, mama. Carry." Ruby suddenly began reaching towards Sylvia.

"Here." Y/N gently handed her over to Sylvia.

"I can't believe that they consider me as their mom." Sylvia sighs.

"Well, you're the only woman excluding Emma who has been around and taking care of them this whole time after all. I'll let you be their mom if they want to." He said.

"If you say so. This reminds me of me and my siblings playing house when we were kids." She said.

"You two seem like a pretty good couple actually. I suggest you marry." Another person suddenly popped out of no where.

"Aron?! Since when did you get there?"

"Like just now? Overheard your conversation so I decided to chime in." Aron grinned.

"Please don't do that again. Or I'll forbid you to enter my property from now on." Y/N said.

"Sir, may I ask who is he?" Sylvia questioned.

"Oh. He's Aron, a friend of mine. Even if we're a little older, he's still as energetic as ever." He answered.

"You bet I am! Pleased to meet you, mademoiselle." Aron bows.

"Ah, how formal." Sylvia chuckled nervously.

"You can ignore him if you want. You won't be getting anything useful from him after all." Y/N said to her.

"You're still treating me like that. How cruel of you, Y/N. I'm going to tell this to your daughters." Aron stormed off.

"He never changes." Y/N smiles for a bit.

"Dada! Cake!" Ruby suddenly stated.

"All right, we'll some cake for you. Wait here." He said before walking towards the tables.

In the distance, there stood a woman watching everyone rejoice in the party. Her face was filled with a mixture of sadness and happiness, as she watch the kids play with smiles in their faces.

Nixium: I would like for you to jumble the letters of Aron's name and see if you can find it.
