Thor/Jane: Mjolnir is Not a Toy

Thor hurried back to Midgard. It was his daughter's first birthday, and he was not going to miss giving Ambrosia her gift. Jane was waiting by the window, their one-year-old daughter in her arms. When Thor landed, Jane hurried to meet him at the door. They shared a kiss before Thor lifted Ambrosia into his arms.

"Hello, my beautiful girls. And hello, especially, my beautiful birthday girl."

Ambrosia grinned and placed her hands on either side of Thor's face. Jane laughed and pulled her husband and daughter inside.

"Erik and Darcy will be over to celebrate tomorrow," Jane reminded Thor.

"Then they will be sad to have missed out on this moment!" Thor pulled a package from the pocket of his breeches. "This is for you," he said to Ambrosia.

Jane took the package and opened it where her daughter could see, "Oh, baby, look what Daddy brought you from Asgard!"

It was a necklace, one that had many kinds of gems inlaid in its gold frame. Ambrosia reached for it and cooed at the way light bounced off of the gems.

Jane held it away, "Thor, this is beautiful. But it's too big for her."

Thor smiled, "She'll wear it when she's old enough. But I wished her to have it today."

He was suddenly distracted by a tugging at his waist. Ambrosia had grabbed ahold of Mjolnir's handle and was trying to pull it towards herself. Jane and Thor stared for a few moments before Thor pulled her hand away.

"No, Ambrosia. Mjolnir is not a toy."

"Myeh myeh."

Thor grinned, "Not a toy."

"Myeh myeh."
