Bruce: My Daddy's the Hulk!?

Bruce and Chris were running around the park. It was another day in the life. Bruce was careful on to run too hard, for obvious reasons. But he could keep up with his son easy enough. That was, until Chris ran a bit too far ahead and decided it would be a good idea to hide form his father.

Bruce hurried all over the park looking for Chris. He even called a few of his friends down to see if a few more pairs of eyes would help. Steve and Pepper were helping him run around, both of them had to bring their own kids, and Kathryn and Ambrosia helped call out for their friend before their parents told them they could go play elsewhere. They hurried off to join another group of kids who were playing on one of the playground sets.

"Bruce!" Steve called over to him. "Are you sure he went this way?"

"This is the way I was chasing him," Bruce answered, nodding.

Pepper laid a gentle hand on his shoulder, "We'll find him."

Bruce took a few calming breaths and they continued their search. As the day became late, Bruce started to get more and more worried. His heart rate was speeding up, and Steve noticed the green tint in his eyes.

"Bruce," he put himself in Bruce's line of sight. "Bruce, stay with me. We'll find him. He'll realize it's getting late and come to find you. We just need to stay calm."

"I am calm!" Bruce shouted.

Steve put his hands up in surrender, "Yes, okay. You're calm." Steve subtly nodded to Pepper, who hurried off to usher the children and parents away from the nearby playground. "Come on, Bruce. We'll find him."

"But where?" Bruce shouted again. "What if he's lost? What if he's on the other side of the park?"

Bruce grunted and growled, and there was no turning back. Steve ran to get to his daughter as Bruce hunched over and turned green. The Hulk rampaged around the area, tearing up trees and smashing them into the ground. Steve sent Kathryn running with Pepper until he could figure out how to calm Bruce down. Suddenly, a child was running toward him.

"Uncle Steve!"

Steve wrapped Chris in his arms and held him tightly as he called to his Hulked-out teammate.

"Bruce! I found him!"

The Hulk stopped smashing trees and spun around. He ran over, but stopped in front of his friend and son. Steve set Chris down and backed away slowly.

Chris stared up at Hulk, and having heard what Steve called him exclaimed, "My daddy's the Hulk?"

The Big Guy sniffed and knelt down in front of the boy. He slowly started to shrink and wrapped Chris in his arms while Steve tried to find him a shirt.

"Don't run off like that again. Ever."

"I won't."

"Good."
