a week before the wedding

"Good morning." You yawn as you step out of Pieck's spare room. She's sat at the kitchen table eating a salad while Porco is in the living room watching some baseball game.

"Oh, look who decided to finally come out into the world again." Pieck announces. She taps on her phone that rests on the table. "You're up early too."

"I got hungry." You say as open up her fridge. She twists around in her seat to look at you, one of her dark eyebrows raised.

"You're surprisingly...calm." She says cautiously. You smile at her and take the orange juice out of the fridge. "Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?"

Pieck blinks slowly trying to process what's happening in front of her. "Maybe the fact you just got your heart broken?"

You take the bag of bread out of the pantry and stick two slices into the toaster. "I gave myself 24 hours to be sad. Time to move on."

"You were locked in there for two whole days though. That's more than 24 hours. The only time you came out was to get that plan B." Porco says from the couch, his eyes still glued on the screen.

"Don't recall." You smile. "Anyways, that's beside the point. The point is, I'm all better now. We have a wedding to plan, right?"

Pieck has a disturbed look on her face. "I'm scared."

The toast jumps out from the toaster and you set them down on a plate before you take it to the table and sit by her.

She watches you as you glide strawberry jam on the toast. "Are you sure you're okay? You're kinda freaking me out."

"Never better." You say shoving an entire slice in your mouth. She watches you with disgust. "Does that mean you're gonna go to school today?"

You swallow hard and chase it with orange juice. "Isn't it your wedding week? You're gonna need help right? I've decided to be a good little sister and skip out on school and work to help you out." You grin. You then point to her salad. "Why are you eating that?"

She looks down at the bowl. "I have to fit into my dress." She turns back to your plate and sees you already finished. "Jesus."

You toss your plate in the sink and chug the rest of your juice. When you're done, you clap your hands together. "Alrighty, what are the plans for today?"

Porco turns his head slightly but his eyes don't leave the screen. "Did you really call in? For the whole week?"

Pieck looks at Porco and then back at you. "What excuse did you use?"

"Said I busted my stitches open." You say bluntly. Pieck frowns. "Isn't your scar healed already?"

You shrug. "They don't know that. Anyways, I'm gonna go shower. Don't leave without me!" You say as you slam the door shut behind you.

Pieck sits normally back in her seat and stares at her bowl of salad. Porco laughs and sips his coffee. "Looks like she back to the old her. Spontaneous and impulsive."

Pieck sighs. "No, this time is different." Porco twists around in the couch to face her after he pauses the game. "What do you mean?"

"Back then you knew something was wrong with her. She was bitchy and depressed. It was clear she was taking out her problems on people. She wasn't keeping it all inside and acting like she's fine like she is right now." Pieck explains.

"Well, isn't that a good thing? The fact that she's not as bad? No drugs. No random angry outbursts. No getting in trouble for the fuck of it." Porco asks confused.

Pieck shakes her head. "Somehow I feel like this is worse. I don't know I have a bad feeling about this. Maybe I should call her mom."

Porco frowns. "Why? Babe, when y/n made it painfully obvious she needed help the first time, her mom didn't even pay attention to her. What makes you think she'll do it now that it's less obvious? If anyone can help her, it's you, not Diana."

Pieck stands up and throws the rest of the leftover salad away. "It's y/n. She's not gonna let me help her. She won't even admit something is wrong. I don't even think she'll admit it to herself."

Porco sighs, turns back to the TV and presses play. "I guess. Honestly, she seems fine to me. Maybe she's not as hurt as you think she is. She probably wasn't into Jaeger Boy as much as we thought. Maybe she's right, she just needed some time to be sad and get over it."

Pieck sighs. "Maybe."

-
The first thing on Pieck's pre-wedding checklist was mani-pedis. The appointment was for, of course, her alone but you tagged along.

"Fine but you're paying for yourself." She said after she realized you weren't gonna take no for an answer.

The two of you were now at the nail salon, seated beside each other as you began the manicure portion.

"What else do you have to do?" You ask as the two of flip through the decorative book of assorted nail polish colors.

"Mm, today? Just this. Tomorrow I have to pick up all the dresses and drop them off. Wednesday, I have my hair appointment and spa day. Thursday, I'm gonna set up the wedding decorations and then Friday is the dinner." She says flipping the pages.

Your eyes sparkle. "Spa day?" She turns to you, eyebrows furrowed. "You're not going."

"Aww, come on! I need a spa day more than anyone right now." You whine. She stares at you in deadpan manner.

You fake a pout. "My heart hurts. It's been crushed by an evil boy, I don't think I'll ever recover! My idea of love has been destroyed forever!" You say dramatically.

Pieck rolls her eyes. "Ugh, fine!" You grin and punch the air. "Yes!"

She points at the color she wants and then with that same finger, she points at you. "You're paying for yourself though."

"Fine." You say pointing at the color you decided on.

She turns to you. "It isn't gonna be cheap either. You have money?"

You frown. "Duh. I have a job, you know?" She scoffs. "You won't if you keep skipping out on it."

"I am gonna go back!" You yell. "Eventually." You mutter that part under your breath.

She shakes her head. "You can't run from your responsibilities forever."

You hold out your hands as the nail artist begins to file them down and shape them. "Watch me."

Pieck turns to you. "What are you gonna do? Stay at my house forever, locked up in my guest room?"

You turn to her. "What? You don't want me to? Sounds fun, doesn't it?"

She wrinkles her nose. "Not at all." You glare at her. "You and Porco are gonna be gone for like a fucking month on your honeymoon anyway! I'll house sit."

"For some reason, you housesitting doesn't give me any comfort at all. Especially with the state you're in right now." She admits.

Your mouth falls open. "That's rude. And what state? I'm completely fine."

"Right. Maybe your mom will let you move back in. But either way, you still have to get your stuff from your dorm so you gotta go back one way or another. It's inevitable." Pieck explains.

You sink into your chair. She's right. You couldn't run from your responsibilities forever. All your stuff was in there. Literally. All of it.

And you did still have a whole ass job and classes to finish. As much as you wanted to drop off the face of the Earth and just avoid everyone and everything all together, you couldn't.

"Can we talk about something else? We're supposed to be relaxing and you're stressing me the fuck out." You reply.

Pieck laughs. "Fine."

tuesday - four days before the wedding
The next day was the day all the dresses were ready for pick up.

You look out the window as Pieck drives around the city dropping the gowns off to all the bridesmaids. It felt so weird to be back in Marley like this again.

You had come to visit a couple times with your friends and Eren but it was always for just a couple hours.

It had been four days now since you've been here and you were still planning to stay a couple more.

You found yourself considering just staying for good.

You tug on your shirt uncomfortably. Since you didn't wanna go back to your dorm to pick up your stuff, you went to your mom's house and raided your closet there that was filled with stuff you left behind because they either didn't fit you or weren't your style anymore.

Pieck looks at you while you tug at the hem of your t-shirt. "You know, you'd be more comfortable if you actually wore stuff that fit you. Like your stuff back at your dorm."

You ignore her and roll down the window, the slight breeze hitting your face. The air wasn't as fresh as it was in Paradis.

The air in Marley always felt dirty. All the cars polluting the air and the trash everywhere. That was the difference between the city and the country.

For some reason, you felt yourself miss it though. It was like you could feel the toxicity in the air. There was something so nostalgic about it.

"What if I did decide to move back?" You ask, head rested on the window. Pieck says nothing.

You turn to look at her once you realize she isn't gonna answer. "What? You don't think it's a good idea?"

She sighs. "I thought we all agreed on the fact that the city was bad for you."

You scoff. "I think we have come to the conclusion that everywhere is bad for me."

You turn to rest your arm on the window and look out it again, your head tilted up as you look at the tall buildings shining in the sunlight. "I'm starting to think no matter where I go, bad will always follow."

"You were actually doing good over there though. You were becoming a better person. You weren't getting into trouble like you always did here." Pieck argues.

"I don't think I've become a better person. Just better at hiding who I really am." You say so quietly that for a moment you thought she didn't even hear you.

"You're not a bad person, y/n. You just make dumb choices. Really stupid ones." She defends.

"Then it doesn't matter where I am. I'll make stupid choices everywhere I go so might as well just stay where I came from." You argue back.

She presses her lips together and the car ride is quiet for a moment, the only sound being the wind blowing furiously past your ears and some cars honking.

"Aren't you gonna miss your friends?" She asks finally breaking the silence. You laugh. "What friends? I lost them all."

She pulls into the house of the owner of the last dress she needs to drop off. "All of them? None of them have tried talking to you?"

You stay quiet. She reaches back to grab the final dress and sets it on her lap. She stares at you as she waits for you to respond.

You still don't.

"Y/n." She calls.

"I don't know, I broke my phone." You mumble. She frowns. "What did you say?"

"I BROKE MY PHONE!" You shout. She leans back a little and blinks slowly. "You...broke it? How? When?"

You sigh and pull the lever on the side of the chair so that your seat reclines far back. "The morning after the first night I slept at your house. I looked through my pictures and got angry and threw my phone at the wall."

Pieck's eyes jump open. "That was three days ago! You've been without a phone this whole time?"

You nod. "Haven't you noticed? I'm completely off the grid." You stare up at the roof of her car. "I'm in complete bliss."

"So you called in before you broke your phone?" She asks. "Yup." You say flatly.

She laughs. "Well, now you definitely got to go back to work soon so you can buy a new phone."

"I don't want one. Haven't you noticed how happy I am? Breaking my phone was the best thing to ever happen to me. No one can bother me." You say still staring up at the roof.

You lift up your arm and poke the exposed sunroof of her car with your finger. You keep your finger pressed there until the hot surface reflecting the sun starts to burn. You try to leave it there for as long as you can bear.

You hiss and yank your finger away after the pain is too intense. You smile when you realize you're still capable of feeling something. You had felt numb the past couple days.

"So you're just gonna live the rest of your life without a phone? How are you gonna make contact with everyone? What about your pictures?" Pieck asks.

You turn to her and frown. "Don't you have something you need to do?"

She looks down at the dress in her lap and sighs. She gets off the car and begins to walk toward the house while you watch.

A girl opens up the door and Pieck hands her the dress while they talk for a little.

You try to recognize the girl but she doesn't seem familiar. It was odd how every house Pieck stopped at, you didn't recognize any of the girls. Your own sister had a whole group of friends you've never even seen or met.

It made you realize how out of touch with reality you had been while you were living here. The only person you knew of in her life was Porco and that's only cause he was always at the house.

Pieck knew all the names of your friends yet you didn't know any of hers. It made you feel like shit.

It was like the feeling you got when you couldn't remember who Colt was for the life of you yet, you two had gone to the same school since elementary and he remembered little things about you like the fact that you always fell asleep in class but somehow kept your grades up.

You were selfish. You never paid any attention to the people around you. Only yourself.

Maybe you deserved to not have any friends now. Maybe this is how you were always meant to be. Alone and hidden away from the world.

Pieck returns back to the car and starts it back up. "Sorry, I was filling her in on everything."

"Pieck." You say still looking out the window, admiring a beautiful rose bush outside her friend's house.

"Hm?" She hums as she pulls out the driveway.

"Why don't you hate me?" You ask.

She laughs. "Who says I don't?"

You say nothing. She then turns to you. "Oh, you're being serious."

She takes a deep breath. "Well, I'm not gonna lie. I did for a long time. I thought you were a bitch and selfish."

Exactly.

"But I just misunderstood you. I judged you without trying to put myself in your shoes. If I've been through the things you've been through, I'd think I'd be selfish too." She says.

You look at her but she faces forward as she drives away. "You're selfish because no one ever looks out for you or takes care of you. You had to learn how to look out for yourself at a young age because no one else was going to." She continues.

She looks at you now. "I'm sorry it took me so long to understand that. You don't ever have to feel that way anymore because I'll always look after you. Even if you don't allow me to. You're my sister. Blood or not."

You feel a tightness in your throat. You were speechless. Your chest ached.

It was a rare feeling to feel understood. The only other person who made you feel that way was Eren. He was just as damaged and selfish as you. The two of you heavily guarded and only letting it down for each other.

When he left, you thought that was it. You were gonna be back to being alone. Back to feeling closed off from the world.

But someone else finally understood you.

Not in the way Eren did. The connection between the two of you was something that could not be replicated. Something only the two of you could understand.

Eren understood you because he was the same person. Your mirror. He was you in male form. The two of you shared one soul that was spilt into two and forced into two separate bodies.

Pieck understood you because she learned how to throughout the years. She adapted to your mood swings, your temper. She tried her hardest to understand why you were that way.

And she did.

After everything, all the years you let out your pain and frustration out on her. The way you treated her and spoke to her. She still attempted to understand.

And she did.

"I don't deserve that." You admit.

She turns on the AC and the small vents blow out cool air that causes dark strands of hairs around her face to dance along her cheeks. "You deserve more than you think."

"I treated you like shit." You remind her. She nods. "You did. But you were just a girl who lost her dad in one of the worst ways possible. A girl who felt like she had nothing and no one. At first I didn't get it but now I understand."

"Why? Why didn't you just stay hating me?" You ask. She shrugs. "I grew up. I didn't wanna have hate in my heart. I learned you were just alone and scared."

You turn away from her. "I don't get it." She stops at a red light and sets her hands down in her lap. "Remember when you and Eren first met and you both couldn't stand eachother? You hated him and he hated you."

"Right." You say. "And then you found out why he's the way he is. His story, all the horrible stuff that happened. You felt sorry for him. You realized he was just terribly misunderstood." She answers.

"What does this have to do with me?" You ask, slightly frustrated.

"You kept trying to talk to him, remember? You tried to be his friend even when he kept being rude to you. He then finally let his guard down eventually and opened up to you." She states.

"Okay?" You ask. "That's how I felt with you." She says back. "I wanted to understand you. I wanted to be there for you like you did with him."

You stare at her in silence but she doesn't meet your eyes. Her face looks conflicted like she's debating if she wants to say more.

"The day I saw you guys at the fair together. I don't know why I got so mad that you were with him. You and I were never close but I still felt protective of you." She says tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I know his reputation. The things he does. How he uses girls and then tosses them to the side. I automatically assumed that's what he was doing to you. And when you defended him, I thought to myself, man, this girl is so stupid." She chuckles softly.

"But Zeke reminded me that Eren wasn't always like that. He was a good person. Sure, he got into trouble a lot but he had a big heart. He loved his friends and his family and would do anything for them."

The light turns green and she starts to drive again. You catch her grip on the steering wheel tightening like she's frustrated.

"I realized I was misjudging him. He's been through terrible things and he's trying to cope in his own way." She admits. Her tone was quick like she was embarrassed to admit she was wrong and wanted to say it quickly so no one would hear her even though it's just you and her in the car.

"Then it hit me. I was doing that to you for years." She says quietly.

Her nails dig into the leather wrapped around the wheel. "You know I hate being wrong. I always need to be right. I usually always am. But I was wrong."

You open your mouth to speak but she keeps going. "It ate at my mind that entire weekend. Ask Porco, I talked his ear off about it. I felt like shit. For not only being quick to judge Eren but especially you."

She does a deep inhale and slowly exhales. "So, I swallowed my pride and invited you to Olive Garden so I could apologize."

You didn't know what to say. You knew that she had invited you to apologize because she told you that day but you never knew it all dated back to the day at the fair.

"I'm sorry it took me so long. I wish I would've realized sooner so I could've been a better sister and actually helped you." Pieck apologizes.

"Stop blaming yourself." You say. "It's not your job to take care of me."

Both of her freshly manicured hands squeeze around the steering wheel. "I know that. I still feel bad. I found myself worrying about you when you left home. I may not have been there for you when you were here but I at least knew you were okay because I would see you. When you left, I wasn't able to check up on you."

"Well, I'm fine." You say gesturing to your body. "See? I don't need anyone to look after me. I can take of myself."

"You weren't looking after yourself only. You had friends helping you out. You had Er-"

"If you say his name one more time, I'll jump out this car." You stop her.

She sighs and decides to stay quiet. You lean forward to turn the volume up and lay back down in the reclined seat.

There's no more words spoken for the rest of the ride. Pieck stays focused on the road as she drives back home and you stare out the sunroof, watching the clouds drift away.

wednesday/thursday - two days before the wedding

The next day the two of you go to enjoy your spa day. Which was indeed very much needed.

As much as you wish the day could've lasted forever, it went by quick. Thursday arriving the second the spa worker peeled the cucumbers from your eyes.

On Pieck's wedding week agenda, Thursday was scheduled for getting the hall set up. Decorations, tables, all that stuff.

You were pretty excited. Not only because it gave you a chance to be creative but because it was something you knew was gonna keep your mind occupied and busy.

"Everyone is busy so it's just gonna be me, you and your mom. The guys are coming to help unload everything and help us with the heavy stuff." Pieck says hopping out the car.

"The guys?" You ask doing the same. Pieck nods and shades her eyes from the sun. "Yeah Porco, my dad and Marcel."

"Who the hell is Marcel?" You ask. Pieck turns to you. "Porco's brother. You've literally met him before."

Your mouth drops open. "I have?!" Pieck groans and turns back to the building with her hands on her hips. "I'm not even surprised at this point."

You turn to see where she's looking and you're in awe. "Whoa."

"Gorgeous, right?" She grins. It really was. It was a beautiful venue that looked like it had three floors and was surrounded by stunning landscaping and a lake in the back.

"Why is there three floors?" You ask. "The second floor is a whole bunch of rooms for guests to stay if they don't want to go home. It's free for the bridal party but everyone else has to pay for a room. The third floor is the bridal floor so there's a honeymoon suite for me and Porco." She explains.

Your eye grow in size. "Wait! We all get our own rooms?!" You squeal. Pieck giggles. "You have first pick too."

You look at her and grin. "Are you serious?" She nods and you take off running toward the building.

"Holy shit, this place is huge!" You gush as you run in. "How the hell did you even afford this?"

"Porco's mom is the manager so we got a really good discount." Pieck says scanning the room.

The boys come in and begin to set everything down. "Don't drop or break anything!" Pieck panics.

You begin exploring the building and notice that there's a gorgeous patio outside with pretty, twinkling lights and trees everywhere. It was like a meadow. It went perfect with her fairytale garden theme.

When you walk back inside, you hear Pieck ordering the guys around.

"There you are!" Pieck says once she sees you. She shoves a box of cream colored table cloths into your arms. "Set these at every table."

You frown as she walks away, leaving you standing there. Porco stands beside you with a ladder beside him. "Have fun spending the day with her bossing you around."

You sigh. "I'm used to it by now." You lean slightly forward to look past him at the person standing next to him.

It was a guy who looked practically identical to Porco just a tad bit older and with darker hair. Porco catches you looking. "Mm? Oh. This is my brother, Marcel. I think you've met before, right?"

"Yeah, we have." You lie. You totally would've thought this was the first time if Pieck hadn't said otherwise in the car.

Marcel smiles at you. "Yeah, I think so. You look different from when we first met though so I wasn't sure at first glance."

"If you're Porco's brother, why aren't you the best man?" You ask.

Marcel picks up a box of fairy lights from the ground. "I live pretty far away and my job keeps me busy so I don't have time to be coming over here so often and do best man duties. Plus, that's not really my thing."

Porco looks at you and shrugs. "Colt is the better man anyway." Marcel hits him with the box and then walks away leaving you and Porco alone.

"Speaking of Colt being the better man." Porco speaks. You laugh. "Don't start."

"Aw, come on. Give the guy a shot." Porco tries to convince. You squint at him. "Wouldn't that be weird? You're marrying my sister and he's your cousin. So technically we're kinda related."

He stays quiet for a moment. "I didn't really think of it like that. But then again, Pieck and you aren't blood."

You knit your brows together. "Still counts."

"UM HELLO?" Pieck yells from across the room. "Are you guys gonna help me or just stand there?!"

Porco sighs and turns the ladder horizontally and wraps his arm around it. "It's gonna be a long day."

Friday - one day before the wedding

The next day was Friday aka the wedding rehearsal. First, everyone was to meet at the church.

You were to make sure everything was ready at the church. Decorations, song list, etc. Then afterwards was the dinner.

You dressed nice for the rehearsal considering the dinner was right after and there was also the fact that you were going to meet not just all of Pieck's friends, but Porco's as well. His family too.

You and Pieck are the first ones at the church. She stood at the front mentally visualizing everything. She was muttering to herself as you sat at the front pews trying your hardest not to laugh at her.

You hear the doors open and you turn around to see who is first to arrive. You're not surprised when you see it's Porco, Marcel and Colt.

Marcel lets out a deep sigh and sits in the pew behind you. Colt doesn't hesitate to approach you while Porco goes straight to Pieck.

"Hey." Colt says taking a seat by you. "Hey." You say back. He held a bag of lemon chips in his hand and when he catches you looking at them, he tilts the bag toward you offering you some.

"Where is everyone else at?" You ask, popping two chips into your mouth.

Pieck sits in the pew in front of the one you're seated at and sighs. "I told them all just to meet us at the restaurant. As long as the main people are here, it's fine."

You look around and frown. "So it's just us?"

Porco sits beside Pieck. "We're missing one more person."

"You're gonna meet my maid of honor. Her name is Amara. I think you'll like her." Pieck mentions.

Porco turns in his seat to face you. "She literally like a mix of you and Pieck."

"Really? What's she like?" You ask growing curious. Pieck hums. "Mm, she's sweet until you get on her bad side. She has a tendency to take things way too far in arguments. She's a workaholic because she loves shopping."

"She can't hide her facial expressions for shit. If she's irritated or annoyed, you'll read it all through her face." Porco adds.

"She may be a little intimidating at first because she had major RBF sometimes but once she takes a liking to you, she's the sweetest and will defend you with her life." Pieck says.

"She also can talk for fucking hours. Oh and don't interrupt her. She hates that and will snap at you." Porco shivers as he gets flashbacks.

"So, basically Pieck but with anger issues?" You ask. Porco stays silent for a moment and then laughs. "Oh shit, that's exactly what she is."

"Who are we talking about?" A girl says sliding into the pew beside Porco. She's grinning like she already knows the answer.

"Eh, no one important." Porco waves off. The girl's smile drops. "It's not too late for me to destroy this marriage, you know? I'll steal your fiancé."

Pieck laughs and turns to you. "Y/n, this is Amara. My bestfriend and maid of honor. Amara, this is y/n my-"

Amara twists her body around and sits up on her knees. She smiles widely. "Thee y/n? Man, have I heard a lot about you." Pieck elbows her and she hisses. "Ow, all good things though!"

She had shiny dark brown hair and even darker  doe eyes. She was petite like Pieck, maybe just an inch or two taller.

The two had similar features in common but where Pieck always looked sleepy and like she just rolled out of bed, Amara looked like the kind of person that had too much energy.

She looked very young for her age. Youthful eyes and face. If you didn't know she was Pieck's age, you would've assumed she was as your age, maybe even younger.

Amara leans over the pew and snatches the bag of chips from Colt's hands. "Hey!" He shouts.

"Relax, I'm only getting a little." She defends as she dumps a handful of the chips into her hand and tosses him the bag back.

Colt looks inside the plastic bag and frowns. "There's like three left."

You look in and shrug. "Atleast she left you the crumbs."

She turns around and smiles. "That's the best part too." Her face then grows serious. "You're so ungrateful, Colt. Think about the people who don't even have crumbs."

His mouth drops open and she laughs. Pieck elbows her again and pretends to be serious. "Leave him alone. You're gonna make him cry again."

Her and Amara burst out laughing, Porco joining in. You turn to Colt. "She made you cry?"

"Yeah, one time when we were kids. She tripped me while I was holding my LEGO spaceship and it broke." He says sadly. You try your hardest not to laugh.

Amara slips out the pew in front of you and slides into the one you and Colt are seated in and sits right beside him. "Yup and he's hated me ever since."

"I don't hate you." Colt says embarrassed, his face turning a bright red. She grins and wraps an arm around him. "Good because you're stuck with me for the wedding."

"Wait, I thought you were gonna be my partner?" You ask. Pieck turns around to face you. "He was when Marcel was gonna be the best man but now that Colt is, he's Amara's partner."

You frown. "So then who is mine?"

Pieck cringes and Porco bursts out laughing. Amara giggles. "Zeke."

"WHAT?" You yell. Pieck shushes you. "Shut up! This is a church."

"I don't care." You whisper harshly. "Zeke can NOT be my partner!"

"Well, too bad." Pieck snaps. "Amara, Porco, come with me."

Amara groans and stands up, following behind her bestfriend. "Get your ass up before you make her mad." She snaps at Porco who is still seated.

"Chill!" He shouts back at her. "Fucking bitch." He mutters quickly under his breath.

"The fuck did you say?" She spins around. He panics, hands up in surrender. "I didn't even say anything."

The three begin to walk away and you turn around to see why Marcel isn't going with them and you see he's splayed across the pew fast asleep.

You laugh and sit correctly again.

"So why don't you wanna be paired up with Zeke?" Colt asks, sliding a chip into his mouth. "Isn't that your brother in law?"

You pinch your thigh secretively. "No. Not anymore."

"Oh. What happened?" He asks. You grab the bag from him and dump the rest of it's contents into your palm. "Nothing. We just broke up."

"Ah. Sorry." He says awkwardly. You knew he wasn't really sorry.

You shrug it off and eat from your palm. "It's fine. I'm over it."

Colt raises his eyebrows with surprise. "Really? Damn. I'm guessing you dumped him then." You laugh. "He left me actually."

Colt's mouth drops open but it quickly closes. "He's an idiot."

You snort. "Tell me about it. Anyways, like I said I'm over it." You tilt your head back to get all the crumbs on your palm to fall into your mouth.

"I'm surprised you're not sad or anything." He admits. You dust your hands off by smacking them into eachother. "He's not worth being sad over."

You stand up and stretch, your dress slightly coming up. You catch Colt stare at your thighs and his cheeks turn pink.

"Excuse me." You say sliding past him to get out of the pew. You move with your back toward him so that he gets a good view of your butt in your short dress when you pass him by.

"Uh- wait y/n." He stutters as you step out. You turn to him. "Hm?"

"Where you going?" He asks. You laugh a little. "To the restroom. You wanna come with me or something?"

He turns painfully red and his eyes widen. "N-no. I was just- I-"

You howl with laughter. "I'm just messing with you. I'm gonna go to the car really quick."

You bend over so that you're right in his face, your hands perched on your knees and butt perked up slightly in the air. God was probably looking at you in horror right now considering you're in a church. "Wanna come?"

He looked like he was having trouble breathing, his lips parted open and his tongue bringing moisture back to his lips.

"What?" You ask as he stares at you completely mesmerized. "Stop messing with me." He says quietly.

You giggle. "I'm not but okay. I just wanted to know if you wanted to come with me really quickly to grab something from the car. What did you think I meant?"

He starts to internally panic and it's written all over his face. You click your tongue and shake your head. "You have such a dirty mind, Colt."

"I-I didn't think of it that way." He tries to defend. You stand up straight and smile at him. "Hm, that's too bad. Because that's how I meant it."

His face drops and you begin to walk away but first, you turn to look at him. "Oh well, right?"

He gets up quickly and stumbles after you and you start to die with laughter. "I can't believe you fell for it again."

Pieck approaches and rolls her eyes at Colt. "Ignore my sadistic sister. She has issues." She then turns to you. "Come on, let's go. The reservation is at 6."

Porco pats Colt on the back. "Gotta step up your game, man." He kicks the pew Marcel is knocked out in and he jumps up dazed and confused.

"Let's go." Porco tells him. He turns to you. "Ready to meet everyone?"

"I think so." You say unsure. You were kinda nervous considering you're gonna be thrown in a room with a bunch of people you've never met that all already know each other.

Not just that, they're all older than you too. You were someone who just entered college and these were people who were already out of it.

They were gonna be completely different from the people you knew. You were used to people who were in such an awkward stage in their life right now where they swear they're adults and grown up but still do childish and immature things.

These people were going to be cool and mature. They were adults but not lame ones that acted like parents. They were still young but didn't act like fucking teenagers like the ones your age.

You feel like it shouldn't be too bad. More calm if anything and drama free. But when you see the sinister grin on Porco's face, you begin to rethink that.

"I don't think you are."

-
You arrive at the restaurant that was in charge of catering the wedding which was also the same place that Pieck took you where you reunited with Colt for the first time.

You see the bench you sat on that day as you waited for Eren to pick you up. You remember the way you were in awe when he pulled up in his motorcycle and how he looked so gorgeous sat patiently on it.

How he took you shopping and paid for everything you wanted after. How the two of you went to a club that night and you danced with him for hours. How you went to the hotel after and had sex over and over until the sun came up.

The whole purpose of going to that club was to teach him how to dance for the damn wedding. And now he's not even coming.

"You coming or you just gonna stand there?" Pieck asks as everyone begins to spill into the restaurant.

You follow behind her as she holds the door open for you. Porco leads the five of you into a large private dining room where several long tables rested with plates waiting on them patiently.

Slowly, one by one, the rest of the people start to show up. The first one is a girl named Juliet who had such pretty long, wavy black hair.

She was pretty nice but for some reason she kept talking about people's toes.

After her, came in two boys named Zae and Emilio. Zae was covered in tattoos and absolutely gorgeous. Emilio had the prettiest curly hair you've ever seen but he was kinda short but his face definitely made up for it.

The three other bridesmaids Maria, Megan and Anna showed up together. You felt yourself start to feel smaller and smaller as more of Pieck's friends showed up. They were all so pretty in their own different ways.

The last two groomsmen showed up a couple minutes later and were named Cameryn and Kendrick. Cameryn had soft hazel eyes and freckles and Kendrick had incredible skin and a super nice smile.

It was alarming how both Pieck and Porco had extremely attractive friends.

You turn to Porco. "Are all your friends hot? Damn." He chuckles. "Down girl. Behave."

You try to hide your mischievous smile. "I'm just asking."

Porco opens his mouth like he's about to say something but a woman stops him by squeezing his cheeks together and squealing.

"Eeee! I can't believe my baby is getting married!" She gushes. It doesn't take much to figure out that's his mom. Or at least you hope so.

The woman plants kisses all over Porco with her hands still squeezing his face and he groans. "Mom, can you please stop?"

She lets go and there's red circles on his cheeks from how hard her fingers pressed into them. "Oh, fine. You're just so adorable, I can't help it."

Porco cringes and rubs at his face. He looks at you and back at his mom. "You're embarrassing me."

The woman turns to you and smiles. "Ah, you're Pieck's little sister! Y/n, right? You're even prettier in person."

You smile sheepishly. "Aw thank you. You're Porco's mom? It's so nice to meet you."

She holds out her hand and a gorgeous, huge diamond ring sits on her ring finger. "Star Galliard."

You shake her hand and try your absolute hardest to not stare right at her ring so you look at her instead. She was beautiful and definitely didn't look like she was the mother of two grown men.

She had brown hair, which Marcel obviously got from so the blonde in Porco's hair must be from his dad or something. Her eyes were a soft brown like honey and freckles that painted her face, along with a pair of glasses.

A girl stood beside her and Star introduces her. "This is Anna. Porco's sister." You practically choke on your saliva. "Sister?!"

You spin toward him. "I didn't know you had a sister!" He scratches the back of his head. "Yeah. She's the baby."

You felt like such an idiot for not knowing. First Colt, then Marcel now this. It was incredible Porco didn't hate you at this point.

You make a note to yourself to start paying attention more. Be more aware of the stuff and people around you. It wasn't fair they knew so much about you and you knew absolutely nothing about them.

Always off in your own little world.

To start on this new found resolution, you decide to begin here and now by inspecting the ginormous room you're currently in.

It was the perfect place to start considering it was filled with two people you love's favorite and closest people.

You had met Porco's family now and his hot ass groomsmen. You obviously knew Pieck's family already. You had met all her bridesmaids and especially Amara who did not fail to leave a memorable first impression.

So all that is left is to memorize their names and faces, right? Maybe try to make conversation and get closer to them? You had no idea how actually putting in effort worked.

You were good at making friends but it always people your age. Not people a few years older. What if they saw you as annoying and immature?

You look around the room in a lame attempt to find someone your age when you freeze up for a moment. "Crap!" You whisper.

Zeke. When did he get here?

You spin around hoping he didn't see you but you're more than sure he did.

It's not like you were scared of him or even avoiding him. You just didn't know how you were supposed to act around him now.

The two of you weren't necessarily close when you and Eren were together, but you spoke here and there when you crossed paths.

You got along well enough for those small interactions. He liked you and you liked him. Well, more like respected.

How were you supposed to act now? Act friendly and smile? You hate his brother and not him, after all. Not his fault his brother is a piece of shit.

Do you not even acknowledge his existence? Act cold and distant even though he had no part in what played out?

Or do you act completely nonchalant and confident so he can report back to Eren that you're the best you've ever been?

Before you can even make a decision, the small hairs on the back of your neck stand up as you feel someone hover behind you.

"Y/n." Zeke says. You turn around and act completely oblivious to the fact he's there. "Oh, Zeke. Hey."

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" He asks, his head tilting to the side as he gestures to a more quiet space.

"If it's about Eren, I don't want to talk about it." You say firmly.

God, you were so tired of hearing and saying his name.

Eren, Eren, Eren.

All damn week long. Why couldn't everyone just drop it already? Why couldn't they just accept that it was over? You did.

He stands unfazed. "Don't talk, just listen then."

You roll your eyes. "I obviously don't want to hear about him either."

Zeke sighs and looks down at his feet, adjusting the glasses on his face. "Look, my brother is an idiot."

"Idiot is an understatement." You scoff. "I can think of about ten other words to accurately describe him if you need help."

He chuckles. "I agree. I'm sure he does as well. He regrets his actions and he plans on telling you that very soon."

You feel your body tense up at the words very soon.

"Uh, I think not. I don't want him to come anywhere near me. I'll punch him if he does." You warn.

"Punch?" Zeke laughs. "That's a tad bit unreasonable. I'm sure you could at least hear him out."

"Yes. Punch." You answer. "So if he wants to keep that pretty little face of his that he uses to get all those girls.." You stab your finger into his chest. "Tell him to stay. a. way."

Zeke looks down at your manicured finger nail poke repeatedly into his button up and he smiles. "You think it's the face?"

"Well it's definitely not his personality." You snap. You walk away from him before he can say anything else. He lets you be.

You attempt to walk over to the table you were originally sat at as confidently as possible as you feel Zeke's eyes burn into your back.

"You know Zeke?" Amara asks once you sit down beside her. "Sadly." You reply.

She chuckles and takes a sip of the blood red wine. "I'm assuming through Pieck."

"I actually dated his brother. Well, if you can even call it dating." You clarify.

Amara chokes on the wine and her hand shoots to her mouth as she coughs. "Eren? Yeah, it probably wasn't dating. No offense."

You sigh and break a piece off of the bread in front of you and plop it into your mouth. "None taken, I already learned that the hard way."

Amara pats her mouth dry with a napkin and looks at you wearily. "Sorry." She grabs the other half of the bread you broke off and begins to eat it. "He's a good kid though. Or well, was. I was lucky enough to meet him before the whole.."

She waves her hand in the air and cringes. "You know what and he was really cool but he just... saw some shit that is guaranteed to fuck a kid up. I don't blame him for turning out the way he did. I'd probably be way worse, honestly."

You felt a pang of pain. You hated Eren right now but his story always made your heart ache. You could hate the guy all you wanted but you can't deny his lore is tragic.

"Yeah." You sink into your chair. You catch Zeke in the corner of your eye and turn to look at him. He's across the room talking to your mom and doing what looks like flirting because she's smiling a big cheesy smile. "Did Zeke go through something similar?"

"Mm, Zeke didn't take it as bad as Eren did but then again, he didn't find them all...you know...like Eren did so its excusable." Amara says watching Zeke now too.

It honestly was excusable. I mean, who could really blame him? If you went down a spiral from just seeing your dad that way, you can't even begin to imagine how Eren felt seeing both of his parents that way.

"It was only his dad Zeke lost, right? Carla isn't Zeke's mom." You recall. Amara nods. "True. They have different moms. Although, Dina, Zeke's mom, is dead too." She exposes.

Your neck practically snaps from the speed your head twists to the side to face her. "What?!"

Amara sighs. "Yup." You stare at her in disbelief for a couple seconds and then turn to Zeke. You were starting to see him much more differently now. "God. The Jaeger family is just fucking cursed, aren't they?"

There's a moment of silence between the two of you and you catch Amara watching Zeke with a sad look, her eyes glossy like she's remincising on that time.

"I only got to see how Zeke was when his mom died, I wasn't around for his dad's death. I had already left for college." She explains.

"How was he for his mom? Did he go through a similar phase like Eren? Partying and girls and stuff?" You ask.

Amara shakes her head. "Actually Zeke was different, his mom died junior year of high school so he was around the same age as Eren more or less when he lost his parents but Zeke didn't distract himself with partying. He did baseball."

You were slightly underwhelmed. "Baseball?"

"He had just joined the baseball team a couple weeks before his mom died. He hated being home after she did so he was always at the field practicing. If he didn't have anyone to practice with, he would just use the automatic machine and be there for hours until it was pitch black outside." She starts to explain.

"Oh wow." You say. Amara takes another sip of her drink. "He practiced so much that he became one of the best players in the state, he's the reason they won the championship. Eren wasn't in any sports so I guess that's why he didn't have anything else to distract himself with."

You began starting to feel sorry for Eren again so you try to stray the conversation away from him. "Wait so all of you went to high school together?" You ask.

Amara nods. "Zeke and Porco were both on the baseball team. Pieck, as I'm sure you know, has been dating Porco since forever so she would force me to go to all his games with her. Porco would always tell me his friend thought I was cute but he was too shy to tell me."

You raise an eyebrow. "Zeke? Shy?"

She laughs. "Trust me, I know he's nothing close to shy now but he was back then." She admires the blond from across the room and smiles softly. "He was always handsome, don't get me wrong but he lacked the confidence. He was quiet and shy and always had good grades. He was honestly kind of awkward and nerdy. So awkward I'm surprised he was even good at sports."

"He's only good at baseball because the guy who looked after him before his dad took him in taught him how to play. I think his name was Tom or something like that." She goes on to explain.

"Before his dad took him in?" You wonder aloud. "Yeah. So Grisha dated this one lady and got her pregnant, aka Dina, aka Zeke's mom, and then he left her and he married Carla. Zeke stayed with Dina for a while but she got really sick. During this time, a friend of his mom, that Tom guy, looked after him. Then Dina died and Grisha took Zeke in." Amara explains.

"Wow, I didn't know all that." You say. You knew the boys were related and that they had different moms but you never really knew the details until now. You never really bothered to ask because you didn't want to be nosey and pry.

It hits you that you probably don't know as much about Eren as think you do.

"Anyways, so one day Porco told Zeke to make a move on me and dared him to dedicate a home run to me at the championship game. When he got up to base, he pointed at me and I was like 'what the fuck' but he struck a home run and won the whole thing and they took home the title and trophy." She goes on.

"That's so cute." You admit. "It sounds straight out of a movie or something."

She shrugs. "Yeah, it was until the game ended. After that, girls started to actually pay attention to him and he loved it. He's a leo after all."

You giggle and she sighs, finishing the last gulp of her wine. "He's been different ever since. Charming but cocky. Wise but arrogant. It's annoying but I can't get enough of him at the same time."

You turn to look at her, your eyes wide. That's exactly how you feel about Eren. He annoyed you but you couldn't get enough of him.

Well.. felt.

"Once he gained his confidence and arrogrance, he was a lot more bolder when it came to persuing me but I didn't wanna give in easy like all the other girls so I made it hard for him." She says holding up her empty glass as the waiter pours more wine into it.

Looks like Zeke found his y/n.

"You should totally talk to him." You suggest. Amara crosses her arms. "I'll wait for him to come to me and I know he will."

You smile at her confidence. "Really? How?"

She smiles back. "I know him too well."

And just like she said, about five seconds later, Zeke approaches the table. "Amara, looking more and more gorgeous each time I see you."

He reaches for her hand and kisses it, right when his lips pull away, he looks at her. "You don't look a day over 40."

Amara's smile drops and she yanks her hand away. "The hell did you just say?! Look at you! You look older than I do!"

Zeke grins and turns to you. He brings a hand up against the side of his face like he's about to tell a secret. "She has a fear of getting old and wrinkly. Don't ask her for her age. She gets cranky."

Amara kicks him under the table. "I can't believe I was just saying a bunch of nice things about you. Go away."

Zeke smiles and grabs Amara's hand once more. "What do you say after this you and me get married?"

Amara's eyes widen for a second and she rips her hand away again, completely flustered but refusing to show it. "You wish."

Zeke takes a cigarette out his jacket pocket and slides it between his lips and brings the small flame of his lighter to it. "I do actually."

Amara leans forward and yanks the cigarette out his mouth and tosses it behind her. "You can't smoke in here! And what did I tell you about smoking that bullshit anyway?"

Zeke grins. "Just testing to see if you still cared." Amara rolls her eyes. "Fine, get lung cancer for all I care."

"Are you gonna be at my bedside every night and day if I do?" He asks.

"Yes, laughing in your face and saying I told you so." She throws back at him without hesitation.

You couldn't stop smiling as your head turns back in forth between the two.

You also couldn't help but feel a little sad. He handled her attitude so perfectly and she was quick to handle his witty humor.

They reminded you of you and Eren just less yelling and not as angry. Like the more calm and mature versions.

Wait, why the hell am I thinking about Eren right now?

Amara notices your expression saddening and she's quick to react. "Zeke. Shoo." She brushes her hand in the air like she's swatting away a fly.

He frowns. "But-"

"Bye Zeke!" She says louder. He sighs and turns on his heel to walk away.

Amara then turns to you. She knits her hands together and sets her elbows on the table, her tangled hands holding up her chin. "So. Fill me in on what happened with you and Little Jaeger."

You sink into your seat. Part of you really didn't wanna talk about it. But the majority of you wanted to just vent it out to a fresh pair of ears. Someone new to the whole thing to get a different, foreign opinion and perspective.

"It's sorta a lot to explain." You admit.

Amara shrugs and lifts up her wine glass. "We got nothing but time." She winks.

Zeke
Zeke walks away defeated from you and Amara. He didn't know what else to do at this point.

He had always been a very determined person and hated not succeeding. His grades being perfect since grade school, he wasn't big on failure.

It frustrated him that no matter how many times he tried, Amara wouldn't budge. He was fully aware she was playing hard to get.

He didn't mind the challenge. If there was anything the Jaeger men were good at, it was conquering.

Zeke sits back in his seat in between Porco and Colt. Porco laughs. "Judging by your face, I'm gonna assume it didn't go too well."

Zeke shakes his head. "Nope. She's still as stubborn as ever."

Porco shrugs. "If there's one thing we know about Amara is that she can hold a mean grudge and will make you suffer over it."

He rests an elbow on the table and smirks. "Should've dated her when she actually liked you back in high school. But nooo, you made fun of me for taking Pieck serious and said we should be living the single life. Betcha regretting that now, huh?"

"Thank you for your words of encouragement." Zeke grumbles as he swirls the red liquid in his glass around and around.

"I just need to convince her some more. Spend some more time with her. I'll win her over." He says in attempt to convince not only the guys but himself too.

"How do you plan on doing that? Amara doesn't even live here anymore. She moved up north for her job." Porco asks.

"Why don't you switch partners with me so you can be with Amara? You're probably more suited to be best man anyways." Colt suggests.

Zeke strokes his beard and considers it. "Porco, you cool if we switch?"

Porco turns to them with food in his mouth. "Sure whatever I don't care. As long as you assholes are there, I'm all good. Pieck will probably get pissed though."

"See? Perfect." Colt says smiling. Zeke raises his glass of wine and takes a sip. "Thanks Colt. That's oddly nice of you."

He then recalls who his partner was originally and it all makes sense. "Ah. You want to be paired with y/n."

Colt turns bright red. "What? No! I just wanted to help you out to get closer to Amara." He stutters.

Zeke places his large hand on Colt's shoulder and gives it a firm, hard squeeze. "I like you Colt, you're a good guy."

Colt looks at the hand on his shoulder and then back to its owner. "But?"

"But that's my brother's girl." Zeke says flatly.

Colt wiggles out of Zeke's grip. "Actually, she's not. He left her."

Zeke shrugs. "People make mistakes." He raises his glass as if he's giving a toast. "And you'll be making one if you try to get in his way."

Colt says nothing but it's obvious he's getting irritated. Zeke drinks from his beverage. "I'm only telling you this because I like you. I would hate to see you get hurt."

"Hurt?" Colt laughs. "You think Eren is gonna fight me over y/n?"

Zeke chuckles. "My brother is very temperamental so I wouldn't doubt it." He pats Colt in the back. "But I wasn't talking about Eren."

Zeke starts to walk away but Colt spins around and stops him. "Are you trying to say y/n is gonna hurt me?"

Zeke turns and looks Colt in the eyes. "You're messing with someone who is clearly still in love with someone else. What do you think?"

"She's not stupid enough to go back to him." Colt defends.

Zeke turns to look at you as you sit by Amara and two of the other bridesmaids. He smiles when he sees Amara laughing. "We're all stupid for that one person."

He turns back to Colt. "She might not forgive him right away and knowing her, she's gonna put him through hell since he put her through it first but she will forgive him after. Don't be collateral damage or a pawn in their war."

Colt attempts to stand his ground. "What makes you so sure she will forgive him? She seems like she hates him now."

Zeke chuckles. "I'm guessing you've never seen y/n and Eren together, huh? If you ever did, you'll know the two are exact mirrors of each other. They have a bond that no one will ever understand but them alone. It's something honestly incredible to witness."

"I never really believed in twin flames and soulmates and all that bullshit but that completely changed when I saw the way they are together." He goes on to explain.

He turns to you and Amara again. "I envy it. I'm sure everyone does. It's the kind of love people yearn for."

His gray eyes turn back to Colt who stands there speechless. "Envy brings out the worst in people. They will try to destroy the happiness of others because they want what they have."

"And that's exactly what happened." Zeke continues. "Someone sabotaged their relationship. He didn't wanna leave her. He loves her more than anything."

"Well, he did." Colt snaps. "If he loved her, he shouldn't have hurt her like that. I would've never done that to her."

Zeke sighs and walks up to Colt until he's right in front of him. "Look, like I said before, you're a good guy so I'm gonna be honest with you. You wouldn't last a second with yn, she'd eat you alive."

Colt shakes his head while maintaining eye contact. "You don't know that. I know she's a damaged person. I know she's not gonna be easy to handle but I don't care. I can handle it. I'll help her. I won't make her worse like Eren did."

Zeke smiles and shakes his head now too, looking Colt up and down. "I guess we'll see then." He bumps his glass into Colt's. "May the best man win."

Eren
Day of the wedding

Eren returned back from the store with a freshly pressed suit and brand new shoes. Zeke stood in front of his full length mirror adjusting his tie.

"If you still plan on going, get dressed quick because I'm about to leave." The blond tells him.

Eren rushes into the room and immediately begins to strip. His heart was pounding out his chest. His body was exhausted.

He had been running around all morning trying to find you like an idiot when Zeke could've simply told him from the start you were getting ready for the wedding.

After that he ran around town going from shop to shop trying to find the best suit. He kept trying to imagine your reaction to seeing him and it made him honestly feel sick to his stomach.

"I'll be in the car." Zeke announces as he walks out the door. After Eren quickly gets dressed, he fixes his hair about 100 times in the mirror.

He never really tried hard to impress you before. Or anyone for that matter.

He was always just his authentic self around you. Never having to try too much. You accepted him for who he was.

The only other time he felt this nervous was when he took you on the first date to The Vineyard. It was somewhat similar to how he felt now.

He had bought a suit just for it and made sure everything was perfect. Just like he did this time.

He remembers texting you he was outside and practically shitting bricks as soon as he pressed send. His nerves were out of control as his mind began to try to imagine how you would look.

He remembers being completely speechless and in awe when he saw you stand in front of him in that red dress.

The first time he ever saw you in one actually and he couldn't get enough of it. He wanted to take you on a million other fancy dates just to see you dolled up like that more.

Not that he didn't admire you in just some regular clothes. To him, you were the naturally so beautiful. When you wore no makeup or fresh out the shower or just waking up.

When you wore just a regular tshirt or even strutting around in his clothes. It was almost annoying how no matter what, he found you mesmerizing.

But there was something about you all dressed up in heels and a dress that drove him insane.

And he was about to see you like that in just a couple minutes.

It would be different this time though. You wouldn't come out the building smiling and bashful like you did that night. You wouldn't turn into a giggling, shy mess whenever he hands you some flowers or compliments you.

No, this time was gonna be different. He knew you all too well and he knew you weren't gonna be happy to see him.

But he had to do it anyway. He had to try. He couldn't just leave it like this. He thought he was doing the right thing but Zeke made him realize how stupid he actually was.

He felt so disappointed and disgusted with himself. The words he spat into your face echoing in his mind. Flashes of your pained expression and the tears that swam down your cheeks. The sound of you screaming you hated him.

It was eating him up inside. He hated himself more than ever right now. He hated himself even more when he realizes you probably won't ever forgive him for this.

But he still had to try.

-
"Can you stop fidgeting so much? You're making me uncomfortable." Zeke says once he parks in front of the church.

Eren pulls down the overhead mirror and double checks his teeth to make sure there's nothing in them. "I'm not."

"Why are you so nervous? Relax." Zeke laughs as he grabs his overnight bag from the backseat.

Eren nervously pops his knuckles. "Do you think she's gonna get pissed?"

Zeke opens up the car door and slides out. "Oh, for sure. You should know that better than I do."

Eren sighs and shuts his eyes for a moment as he tries to calm his breathing. Why was he freaking out so much?

I mean, it is the first time the two of you are gonna see each other since he completely shattered your heart. It was definitely nerve racking.

He tried to picture how you would react. Would you go to him and cuss him out and tell him to leave? Or would you act you didn't even know him?

He could honestly see you doing a mixture of both.

He gets out the car and the two of them start to head toward the building. "This place is nice as fuck." Eren says.

Zeke winks. "Maybe you and y/n could use it when you get married." Eren scrunches up his face. "Let's not get too carried away. Plus y/n would never do something after Pieck did it first, she's too prideful."

Zeke looks down at his phone. "Pieck wants us to meet out here since all the guests are already waiting inside. Why don't you go in and already take a seat?"

Eren nervously looks around for your car or any sight of you, completely ignoring Zeke.

Zeke chuckles. "She's not here yet. We're the first ones by the looks of it. I think you should go inside before she gets here though."

"Fine. Don't hit on her." Eren warns. Zeke fixes his tie and frowns. "Huh?"

Eren turns to him. "Well you are her partner, right?"

Zeke laughs as he moves on to fix the cuffs of his coat. "Yeah.. about that. She's not my partner anymore, she's with Colt."

Eren makes a disgusted face. "Colt? Porco's cousin? That doesn't make any sense. Isn't he the best man? The best man should be paired with the maid of honor and y/n isn't the maid of honor."

"Right." Zeke agrees. "Except he's not the best man. I am. We switched."

Eren closes his eyes and shakes his head in confusion as he tries to understand. "What? Why did you switch?"

Zeke sighs. "Because I wanted to be paired up with the maid of honor."

Eren narrows his eyes at Zeke. "Let me guess. Amara?"

Zeke smiles and pats him on the back. "Not everything is about you, brother. I need to get some too."

Eren snorts. "You never truly got over her, huh?"

"I'm getting older and I can't keep the bachelor life going forever, as much fun as it is." Zeke explains.

He places a hand on Eren's shoulder. "When I told you to go get the girl before it's too late and someone else does, I was giving myself the same advice."

Eren shoves Zeke's hand away. "Amara always curves you. You had like one chance with her in high school and you blew it. Even since then all your shots have been air balls."

Zeke laughs. "Tonight is the night I actually make it in." He says it so nonchalantly, so confidently that Eren finds himself believing it.

"I'm not the shy, nerdy kid anymore. I'm a man now and I'm gonna show her that." He says without a doubt in his mind.

Eren finds Zeke's words echoing in his head.

"Go get the girl before it's too late and someone else does."

Those words have been haunting him since the night Zeke first said it. Now they had even more meaning that he knows Colt is your partner.

"Oh, by the way." Zeke says causing Eren's attention to come back down to Earth. "Colt likes y/n. Just a heads up."

Great.

"How do you know?" Eren asks. Zeke looks at the cars beginning to pull in as he recognizes them as the other groomsmen and bridesmaids starting to arrive. "He told me."

Eren stands up straighter, his fists clenching together. "What? You serious right now? What did you say?"

"I told him to go for it." Zeke turns to him. "What the fuck do you think I told him? I told him to back off."

Eren rolls his eyes at Zeke's sarcasm. "Okay, and what did he say?"

The guys begin to pour out the cars and make their way toward them. Zeke points his head in their direction. "Why don't you go ask him?"

Without even thinking too much into it, Eren begins to start walking over there and Zeke grabs his arm. "I didn't actually mean it, dumbass. What did I tell you about causing a scene?"

Eren yanks his arm away. "I'm not gonna cause a scene, I'm just gonna ask wh-"

Eren flinches and his whole body ceases any movement. He can hear his heartbeat in his ears as the world around him become muffled except for one other sound.

Your laugh.

He could recognize it anywhere.

                                         y/n
You and the rest of the girls begin to spill out of the cars and you see the guys are already waiting outside the church.

All the girls begin to search for their respective partners to get in formation. "Where is Zeke?" Amara asks.

You help her look for the tall blond and you see him over by the vast stairs talking to someone who kinda looks like...

[artist creds: bearbrickjia on twitter!! they also made the one below!!]

You let out a sharp gasp and grab Pieck's arm harshly, your nails digging into her soft skin. "What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck! Why is he here?!"

"OW!" Pieck cries. She pulls her arm away and begins to rub at it with her hand to soothe the pain. "I don't know!"

You cover your face and turn around to face the wall. "Oh my god, I'm gonna kill myself. I'm literally gonna kill myself."

You look at him and as mad at you were, you also felt a pain in your chest. He looked... different.

Not necessarily different but not how he had been looking lately. He looked like old him. He looked the way he did when you first met.

He had the same cold, expressionless look on his face. His eye bags prominent and his posture lazy. He looked miserable and depressed all over again.

You weren't sure if it was because you were back to hating him again so your mind changed the image of him to look exactly how he looked back when you hated him the first time or if he genuinely was back to that person.

Pieck elbows you. "Relax, I thought you didn't care about him anymore."

You lift your head up from your hands and clear your throat. "I don't."

She scoffs. "Doesn't seem like it." You takes a deep breath and recollect yourself. "You're right, you're right. I don't care. Fuck him. I don't care."

You look down at your body and fix your dress. "I look hot, I feel hot, I am hot." You chant. "He's gonna regret it all once he sees me."

Pieck gives you a judging look. "Right."

You ignore her and start to uncontrollably tap your foot, your heels echoing against the concrete.

"Stop." Pieck warns. You whine. "Do you have any snacks or something?"

She looks down at her dress and bouquet in her hands. "Does it look like I have any damn snacks?"

You groan and begin to chew on your nails. "I'm hungry."

She releases one hand from the bouquet to rip your fingers out of your mouth. "I see that."

You turn away from her and keep biting your thumbnail as you try your best to avoid looking in that direction.

Pieck scoffs and turns to face forward. "Don't care, my ass." She mutters under her breath.

"What did you say?" You snap. Pieck pushes you. "Nothing, get in formation already. The song is about to start."

You stumble forward and Colt catches you. "You okay?"

You look at Eren one more time just to make sure he didn't see you trip and you see Zeke link his arm with him as he leads him up the stairs to go inside the church.

You watch them as you seethe in anger. Why the fuck is he here? He had some audacity showing his face here.

All you can see is the back of his head now and then it hits you.

The scrunchie is no longer in his hair.

You didn't understand why you were expecting him to still be wearing it.

It was over between you two after all so it wouldn't make sense if he did.

You also didn't understand how you claimed you didn't care yet when your eye caught the normal black elastic tied up in his hair rather than the usual velvet blue scrunchie, there was the painful sensation of your heart dropping to your stomach.

You began to wonder where it was. Did he throw it away? Was it in a drawer somewhere?

Either way you felt disappointed. Not in him but in yourself. You gave him your favorite one because you wanted to give it to your favorite person. At the time, it just made sense.

It was kinda like marking your territory in a way. The two of you weren't official or known to everyone so you always had anxiety about him acting single but everytime you saw him wear your hair tie, it gave you a little sense of comfort and relief. Like yup, that's all me.

And all for what? For it to probably be thrown on the ground somewhere. Completely losing its symbolism.

Right as your eyes were fixated on little tiny bun in his hair and the black elastic around it, his head begins to turn as he ascends up the steps.

And for a spilt moment, the two of you meet eyes. For the first time since that dreadful, excruciating night.

[creds; bearbrickjia]

Your heart stops when his jade irises meet yours. For a moment it's like everything stops. Like time becomes frozen as well as the people around you.

He stared down at you from above and you stare at him from below. You wanted to look away so badly but you couldn't. You physically couldn't. It was like you were stuck in hypnosis. You felt paralyzed.

Everything had gone quiet. The sound of passing cars. The sound of Pieck and Amara ordering everyone into their positions. The guys cracking jokes and the girls laughing.

All you could hear was the sound of your heart beat painfully slow and your breathing matching it's tempo.

Colt elbows you. "Hey." You snap out of your trance. "Yeah?"

"You good?" He asks.

"Hm? Yeah." You look back at Eren but he's already inside now. "Never been better. Why? Do I not look okay? Do I look bad or something?" You start to panic.

"No, no." He laughs. "You look great. You just seem nervous."

"Oh. It's just walking in front of all those people. I don't wanna trip and look stupid or something." You lie.

He smiles. "You won't. Just hold on to me, I won't let you fall."

You freeze up for a moment. For some reason when he said that it took you right back to the night you hung out with Eren for the first time at the water park and he was showing you how to skate and he told you he wouldn't let you fall.

Which wasn't true because you did end up falling that night. Both physically and figuratively.

Both ended up causing you pain.

"Thanks." You say linking your arm with his. The whole group begins to walk inside and stand in formation at the entrance.

You look through the crack of the doors and see Porco standing there at the alter next to the priest.

He looked a little anxious but his usual cool demeanor covers it well.

Amara, who is in front of you waiting for Zeke, turns back to look at you. "Ready?"

You nod. Zeke meets her finally after dropping Eren off inside and the two link arms. You kick him.

"Ow?" He says slowly turning around.

"Why the hell is Eren here? I thought it was obvious he was uninvited." You snap.

"He was uninvited as your plus one. He's mine now." He explains.

"Why? Why did you have to bring him?" You shake.

"He needs to get out the house. Be social. Make friends." Zeke teases. You really wanted to punch him.

You force out a fake laugh. "You're so funny. The Jaeger boys must be comedians as well as manwhores."

Amara bursts out laughing. Zeke glares at her but then turns back to you. "Don't worry, he'll behave." He winks.

You glare back at him and he smiles the signature charming Jaeger smile. The doors open and Zeke turns his head forward again.

Amara and Zeke begin walking down the aisle once the song starts, signaling you and Colt to follow.

You feel your heart start to beat faster and faster as people turn their heads to watch the bridal party strut down the middle.

You felt like you were on the verge of an anxiety attack and you were worried it would be completely obvious with all these eyes on you.

The only thing that was a quick remedy to your anxiety was Eren. It was like magic. But he wasn't here to help this time.

Well, he was but not right beside you and not yours to depend on anymore anyway.

You take a deep breath and try your hardest to not subconsciously look for him in the pews
but it's like your brain betrays you as it forces your eyes to meet the back of his head, his shiny, dark brown locks in it's usual updo catching your eye.

He hasn't turned around yet so you quickly look away before he does.

Colt slightly elbows you. "Just keep breathing, I'll lead."

You nod and the two of you begin to walk down the middle of the pews as eyes on both sides watch.

You see your mom and Porco's mom sitting at the very front and you try to keep your eyes on them to avoid looking anywhere else.

Your mom smiles and waves at you and you nervously smile back. Colt's mom sits at the pew behind her and waves at Colt. She sneakily raises up a camera and takes a picture of you and him together.

"Sorry." Colt whispers. "She likes to take pictures of everything."

You laugh softly as you mentally try to recall where you remember Eren sitting and you're just about to pass the row he's seated at.

Don't look at him. Don't look at him.

From the corner of your eye, you see him turn to face you and you squeeze Colt's arm on accident.

"You okay?" He asks.

"Say something to distract me. Anything, just hurry."  You say quickly under your breath.

He reacts quickly. "Look at Porco."

You turn to Porco who is taking this opportunity of the guests staring at the bridal party walking down the aisle and not him to pick his nose really quickly while no one is watching.

He flicks the booger and it accidentally lands on the priest. His closed fist goes flying to his mouth as he tries to conceal his laughter.

Your cheeks swell up and you force your mouth shut to try to muffle your laughter as well but you can't, a big cheesy smile gracing your face.

You and Colt try to laugh quietly as possible as you keep walking down the aisle.

Your anxiety was completely gone now. Maybe you didn't need Eren after all.

After what feels like an excruciatingly long ten years, you finally make it to the front of the chruch and you and Colt part ways.

You stand behind Amara on the bride's side and Colt stands behind Zeke who stands behind Porco on the other side.

Amara turns to you and whispers. "So awkward when everyone stares at you, right?"

"Literally." You whisper back. She leans back a little to get closer to you and tilts her head to the side. "Speaking of people staring, someone can't take their eyes off you."

Your mind automatically knew she was talking about Eren but your body moves on it's own completely self sabotaging you.

You turn your head and your eyes meet his. His eyes twinkle and widen once he sees you've noticed him. He smiles and does an awkward wave.

You give him a disgusted look and roll your eyes. "Idiot." You mutter. Amara giggles.

The rest of the groomsmen and bridesmaids walk down the aisle, going their separate ways and getting into their designated positions once they get to the front.

Once everyone is where they should be, the song changes to Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. You had no idea this was their wedding song and your heart sinks.

[play that song right here]
The guests all stand up as Pieck makes her entrance, her dad right by her side leading her the way down.

While everyone is staring at how stunning Pieck looks, and she absolutely does, you look at Porco.

The way he felt about her was written all over his face. The way his eyes sparkled with admiration and awe, the way his smile grew larger and larger the closer she got to him.

Finally was written all over.

You didn't have to know them for years to tell they were madly in love just by the way you could see them staring at eachother.

They both looked the happiest you've ever seen them and you could tell this was a day the two were looking forward to for the longest.

You turn back to Pieck and see her almost on the verge as tears as she glides past everyone with her dad beside her.

Suddenly, you feel tears in your eyes too when you realize you'll never have that.

You'll never get to walk down the aisle with your dad. It was impossible now so even if you wanted to, there was no way you ever could.

You found yourself envying Pieck. The way she was marrying the love of her life and how he was so excited to do so. How she was being given away by her very much alive father.

Her wedding couldn't have worse timing. You were vulnerable and heartbroken as much as you tried to play it off like you weren't.

"She looks so beautiful." Amara whispers to you. You nod.

She truly did. You hope you look that good when it was your turn and the roles were reversed.

That's if that day ever did come. You knew for a fact you wouldn't have you dad walk down with you but would you even get married period?

You didn't really see it happening. Not anymore.

Because the only person you ever felt like spending forever with was...

You turn your head to him. Your vision hazy as the tears sit firmly at the entrance, careful not to spill.

The entire time, his eyes have not left your figure. He caught all the different emotions that danced across your face as they came along.

He saw it go from disgusted to seeing him, smiling when you saw Pieck, sad when you thought about your dad.

He looks right at you. He didn't even need to say anything for you to know he knew exactly how you were feeling.

He knew why you looked the way you did. Why there was a painful blockage in your throat. Why your eyes glisten and stung.

He knew you all too well. Even after everything.

And he understood it. Because he as well, would have neither of his parents there either.

And he as well, didn't see himself marrying anyone but you.

He had a sad look on his face as he could feel your pain. Your chest ached horribly. You fought the urge to just run off the platform and just jump into his arms.

You hated this. Hated how you still yearned for the comfort of his arms. After everything he did. Everything he said.

You couldn't help it. You were drawn to him like a magnet. Like a moth to light. Like a bee to honey.

Why? Why was it so hard to hate him? You swear you do. You swear you hate him with every inch of your body.

But you don't. Pieck was right. It isn't the same kind of hate from when you first met.

It was easy to hate him back then. And actually hate him.

It was easy to hate him when you didn't know his back story, when you didn't know how surprisingly kind and generous he could be. How loving and protective. How fragile and hurt.

Back when your lips had yet touched his. Before your hands could identify his skin with your eyes closed. Before you could recognize his laugh in a crowded room. Before the two of you had sex and your bodies temporarily became one.

Before you knew how he drools in his sleep. Before you knew the number of scars he had. Before you knew his favorite color. His favorite song. Favorite movie. Favorite everything.

Before you knew him like the back of your hand.

Before you were completely, utterly, devastatingly, madly in love with him.

Before he took all your flaws and insecurities and spat them at your face. Before he crushed your heart in his scarred fists.

Before he left you like you had never meant anything to him.

You feel your eyes start to burn even more and you turn away from him before they spill out. You turn your face as far away from everyone as possible so they don't catch the runway tear that snuck it's way past your eyelashes.

You casually pretend to scratch your face as you wipe the stray tear away. You avoid looking at Eren the entire rest of the ceremony to avoid causing yourself anymore pain.

But you didn't need to look at him to know his eyes never came off you. You could literally feel him watch you.

The more you felt his eyes burn into your skin, the longer the ceremony dragged on. You fidgeted in place, awkwardly switching which leg you put all your weight on as your feet already began to hurt from standing in heels.

Finally, after Pieck and Porco say their wedding vows, you hear the words, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

The two newlyweds kiss and Porco dips her right in the middle while everyone stands up and claps. They were annoyingly adorable.

Once the ceremony is over, everyone exits the church and jumps into their cars to head over to the reception.

You now sat in the car with your mom. You kick your shoes off for the time being even though it's a short ride over there. "My feet are killing me already."

"I saw Eren is here." You mom says abruptly. "How did we go from talking about my feet to Eren?" You ask.

She shrugs and keeps her eyes fixated on the road ahead of her. "Just saying. Did you invite him?"

You give her a blank look. "Why would I invite him? That makes no sense."

"I was thinking maybe you two got back together or something." She suggests. You scoff and cross your arms. "Not ever happening."

Your mom tilts her head to look at you, not fully convinced. "So then what? It's over forever now? After everything the two of you have been through together?"

"Yup." You say flatly and without hesitation. She turns to you and studies your face. "So you're never going back over there either I gather."

"Correct again." You say as you turn the volume up on the radio to try to get her to stop talking but she turns it back down. "You're being dramatic."

"Dramatic? How am I being dramatic?" You ask growing angry. "I think I'm acting pretty damn reasonable considering the situation."

She shakes her head. "You don't even know the full story. You really think he'd just up and leave you like nothing? You don't think it's odd how he just happened to get tired of you when those people started harassing you?"

You groan and cover your face. "I don't know what to believe anymore! I feel like my head is gonna fucking explode! I'm so tired of this. I'm so tired of drama. That's the whole reason I left Marley to specifically get away from drama! If I knew it was gonna be like this no matter where I went, I would've just stayed home!" You rant.

She doesn't say anything. Just waits patiently for you to let it all out. You sigh and sink back into your seat. "You can talk now."

"I think you should atleast talk to Eren before you make a permanent decision. Find out what went down." She speaks.

"What if nothing went down? What if there was no excuse or underlying hidden message? What if he was genuinely just fucking sick of me?" You ask.

She taps a finger on the steering wheel. "Only one way to find out. Whether what he said was true or not, you won't know until you talk to him. It's the only way you'll get some sort of closure."

You scoff. "I don't need closure. I'm perfectly fine with never speaking to him again. He wanted out, he got out."

"You're fine with never speaking to any of your friends either?" She brings up.

"What friends?!" You spread your arms out wide and turn your head in all different directions like you're searching for something. "Does it look like I have any friends at the moment?"

She sighs, clearly getting irritated with your attitude. "So what do you plan to do? Move back home? Go to the university in Marley? Find a job there?"

"I guess. Better than being over there with all those fake ass psychotic ass cult members." You snap.

She pulls into the parking lot of the venue and you start to slip your heels back on. "I'll tell you this. You can come back home but under one condition."

You look at her as you adjust one of the shoes. "What is it?"

"Go back to Paradis for a week. Test it out. Go to school and work like normal and see if you still wanna leave. If you do, then so be it." She offers.

You switch over to the other foot. "A week is too long."

She turns the car off. "Okay, fine. Three days."

"One." You say finishing up. You sit up straight and turn to her. "No more than one."

She pinches her nose bridge when she realizes there's no use in debating with you. "Alright y/n. One day."

She holds a longer finger up. "But! You better actually try to make an effort. Go to class, go to work. Attempt to talk to your friends. Fix things with your roommate so you don't leave on bad terms."

You stare at her for a while and she does the exact same thing. It was like a staring contest.

"Whatever." You sigh as you exit out the vehicle. She does the same.

You both begin to walk toward the ethereal building. "Y/n, please don't cause any drama at your sister's wedding."

You stop walking. "What? Of course I'm not gonna do that. I wouldn't, that's so fucked up." You say growing offended.

She glares at you and you feel your blood start to boil. "Is that really how you think of me? You think I'd do something selfish like make her wedding about me?"

She says nothing. You felt like you just got punched in the stomach. She didn't even need to say anything for her answer to hurt.

She turns away from you and continues to walk, leaving you standing there. "I'm starting to think you don't even know me at all." You say in a low voice but loud enough for her to hear.

"Don't act innocent, y/n. You and your father are the same person. Always bringing your problems everywhere you go, ruining the mood for everyone." She snaps.

Her face is filled with instant regret from her loose words but she masks it well because she's too stubborn and proud to admit she fucked up.

You stand there speechless. You always knew she thought low of you. She made it painfully obvious.

But here she was flat out admitting it.

"So you think I'm just some burden on everyone? Let me guess. I'm annoying. I cry too much. My anxiety ruins everything, right?" You ask.

She stares at you, her eyes dead and cold. Her face read don't ask questions you don't wanna know the answers to.

"Let's go, y/n." She says turning away from you. You grab her arm. "Say it! Say I'm a burden."

She rips her arm out of your grip. "Look at you! Already starting with your dramatics."

She looks at you up and down with disgust. "Then you wonder why people don't want to be around you."

That was a stab to the heart. A minuscule gasp leaves your mouth as the words push you back a step. Everything around you goes dead and there's a ringing in your ears.

You see her walk away from you and head up the steps. You stand there at a loss of words. Loss of everything. You felt... just numb.

First Eren. Now your mom. The two people who claimed to love you the most actually secretly couldn't stand you.

I'm a burden.

Were you really this insufferable? So unbearable to be around? So difficult to love?

You feel someone bump into you and since you're so deep in your head, you lose your balance a little. "Hey, what are you doing out here? The party is inside."

You turn around once you find your sense of gravity and see Porco and Pieck standing there, holding hands with huge smiles on their face.

Pieck's instantly drops as her gleaming smile turns into a concerned form. "Hey, you okay?"

The conversation with your mom replays in your head.

"Always bringing your problems everywhere you go, ruining the mood for everyone."

Her smile dropping was already a sign of that. You were already killing the mood.

"Yeah, sorry I was looking for my phone but I just remembered I don't have one anymore." You lie forcing a laugh through your trembling lips.

Porco laughs. "You drunk already? The party just started." Pieck smiles softly but her eyes stay the same.

She was too smart. Too aware of her surrounding that it was practically impossible for anything to slip past her. She notices everything.

"Come on, let's go! I wanna dance." You say skipping past them trying your hardest to get Pieck's eyes to stop over analyzing you.

You walk into the venue with them trailing behind you, the already seated guests cheering once they enter.

All the noise was making your delayed anxiety worse. You felt your hands tremble as they beg for something to distract yourself with.

You immediately walk over to the snack table and grab a small decorative plate to begin to stack stuff on.

Your hands were visibly shaking as you reached for one of the cupcakes on the table. You try to breathe and try to control the trembling but it doesn't work.

You look for something to calm yourself down with. Anything to make you smile or laugh. Just to temporarily distract yourself with as you continue to pile on cookies and other sweets.

You notice on one of the cookies, in sage green icing, were the letters P&P.

Sliding a finger down the "&" symbol and licking the icing off your finger, you giggle a little when the cookie now reads PP.

"They really didn't think that one through." You laugh quietly to yourself.

You grab the now tampered with cookie and set it on your plate. Your hand was still shaky but not as bad.

You were finally getting the hang of calming yourself down. Soon, you wouldn't need anyone's help. You could do it all on your own.

"I don't need anyone." You whisper quietly to yourself as you grab one more thing.

"How are you wearing the same dress as 6 other girls yet still stand out and look amazing?"

You flinch and practically drop the plate in your hand. The trembling returns. The slowly disappearing pain in your chest tightens with full force.

No way. Please tell me he's not this stupid.

You close your eyes and take as deep of a breath as you can. You turn to face him and he's smiling.

"Do I know you?" You ask. You gasp and bring a finger to your lips. "Oh! You're the guy that sleeps with literally everything that moves, right?"

"Ouch." Eren winces. You smile and slip past him but he follows you. "Okay, I guess I deserved that."

You scoff.  "That wasn't even 1/4th of what you deserve." You notice he's still following you and you stop.

He stops too. "What's wrong?"

"Why are you following me?" You snap.

"I wanna sit with you." He admits.

"What? Why? You left me remember? It's over. Stay away from me." You say as your grip on the small plate tightens as your body begins to twitch with anger.

You start walking again and he chases after you. "But I can explain everything. You gotta know the whole story befor-"

You spin around and shove a cupcake up aganist his mouth. "Stop talking. And STOP following me."

The cupcake drops down into his hands and he wipes the icing off his face.

"Next time is gonna be my fist and not a cupcake." You warn.

"And they say romance is dead." He chuckles.

"The romance between you and I definitely is." You voice as you walk away.

You take a seat at the table next to Amara and some girl that looks somewhat like her but younger.

"Hey, where are the rest of the girls?" You ask setting your plate down.

"Some are already hitting up the bar and the rest are scattered around everywhere. This is my little sister, by the way. Her name is Mahkayla." Amara says.

The girl looks up from her phone and smiles but then goes back to her phone. She was pretty just like her older sister. They both had big brown eyes and dark hair.

You smile back at her and look at her dress. It was really cute and looks like something you would've wore when you were her age.

"I like your dress." You say adjusting your body in your seat. She looks up from her phone and her eyes twinkle. "Thanks! Believe it or not I got it at a thrift shop."

"What? No way. You got lucky, it's super cute." You beam. She grins and looks at Amara who smiles at her too.

Suddenly two kids who looked probably around the ages of 8 or 9 come running to the table with sticky ipads.

"'Maraaaa." One of the little kid whines. "I can't get past this level."

Amara rolls her eyes and takes the ipad away from from the little boy. He looks so much like someone but you can't put your finger on who.

"Falco, why don't you tell Colt to do it? And why is your ipad all sticky?" Amara asks, clear disgust in her voice as she touches her fingers together.

"He can't pass it either." Falco cries. The small girl besides him shoves her ipad in front of Amara's face. "I passed it, Mara. Look! All by myself too!" She grins.

Amara pushes the girl's ipad away after it nearly hits her in the face. "Good job Gabi."

Gabi looks at you and the two of you stare at eachother. She then sheepishly smiles. "I saw you shove a cupcake in that boy's face."

Amara looks up from Falco's ipad. "You did what?"

You laugh. "I shoved a cupcake in Eren's face."

Mahkayla snickers. "He probably deserved it."

You turn to her. "See, I like you. You're cool."

"Oh, by the way, this is Falco, Colt's little brother. This is Gabi, his friend. You actually probably know her cousin, Reiner." Amara introduces the gremlins to you.

"Oh I didn't even know Colt had a little brother, it makes sense you two look exactly alike." You smile.

Falco wipes snot from his nose. "What's your name again?"

"Y/n." You clarify. His eyes go big and he whispers something in Gabi's ear and she giggles.

You frown. "What?"

Gabi grins. "Nothing." The two takes off running back to table they were originally seated at.

You turn to Amara and wipe at your mouth with a napkin. "Do I have something on my face or something?"

Amara giggles. "They think you're Colt's new girlfriend."

Your cheeks burn and a small smile graces your lips. "Oh."

Amara grins. "Yeah. Ohhhhh." She wiggles her shoulders. You roll your eyes at her as you laugh.

Her smile drops and she turns to you, covering the side of her face with her hand. "Oh god. I hope they don't sit here."

You crouch down with her. "Who are we hiding from?" You ask.

She peeks her head a little and then quickly hides again. "Porco's cousins. Skyler and Amaya. They are... something else."

You laugh a little. "What do you mean?"

"They're real boozy. They love to party and always get way too drunk. It's funny cause they will be attached by hip the entire night but always end up drunk fighting by the end of it." She explains.

"Wait, like actually fighting? Like fighting fighting?" You ask, unable to mask your laughter.

"Yes! It never fails. I'm surprised Porco even invited them. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't and they just showed up anyways." She says sitting up straight up again.

You do the same and smile as you look at the two girls. You were glad everyone wasn't gonna be only looking at you and expecting you to ruin the wedding.

You, of course, didn't want anyone to ruin it but if someone was gonna start drama or cause a scene, you're glad it's most likely gonna be someone else and not you.

"Damn, so you must know everyone here, huh? You know everyone's names." You realize.

Amara steals one of your cookies and plops into your mouth, a bit of crumbs sticking to her lipgloss. "Yeah, sadly." She wipes her mouth with a napkin. "I can probably name everyone here. That's what I get for being friends with Porco and Pieck for so long."

"Name them." You test her. There was no way she could possibly know all the names of all of Pieck's friends and family as well as Porco's.

Atleast you hoped she couldn't because it would only make you feel worse for barely being able to remember one or two.

She points to a gorgeous blonde woman who was so thin and tall that she could be a model. She was also probably the only woman not wearing a dress.

Instead she wore a suit and rocked it better than half of the men in here. "That's Yelena. She's Pieck's boss."

Amara turns to you and grins. "She's hot, right? She's the person who helped me realize I'm definitely not straight."

Your eyes widen. "Noooo...you two hooked up?!" Amara brings a finger to her lips and laughs behind it. "Shhhhh."

Once she's done giggling, she points at a man in clearly expensive suit who was the definition of tall, dark and handsome. "Thats Onyankopon. He's Yelena's boss. So Pieck's boss's boss."

Your eyes sparkle when the man smiles. His teeth were perfect and blinding. "His smile."

Amara nods. "He's super charming too. Like that man can tell me to take off my underwear and I will."

Mahkayla who was still seated beside her and overheard everything groans. "Please stop."

Amara ignores her and points at two men on the other side of the room. "That one there is Nanami. He's Porco's coworker. He's a little serious and intimidating but he's honestly really sweet."

The man had blonde hair and killer bone structure. His cheek bones looked like they could slice someone's throat. He also looked like every girl with daddy issues's dream.

She then points at the man beside him.

"And that. That is Gojo." There was a little bit of disgust in her voice. "If you think the Jaeger men are manwhores, just wait til you meet Satoru. He makes them look like virgins."

Gojo has white hair that made you question if he dyed it or it was somehow magically that color naturally. His eyes were the most piercing, blinding shades of blue you ever seen.

Where Armin's blue eyes reminded you of the ocean or a bright summer day, Gojo's looked like they were practically neon and glowed in the dark.

He was gorgeous, you couldn't deny it. He wore a light blue button up shirt that was unbuttoned at the top exposing a good amount of his upper chest.

He also wore a pair of thin black sunglasses even though he was inside. They rested in the middle of his nose bridge, exposing his bright eyes.

He definitely looked like the type of boy to get you into trouble. The type of boy you knew you should stay away from but his aura was just too compelling.

After that, Amara quite literally names everyone in the damn room like she said she would. And you were right, it did make you feel like shit.

"I just have really good memory. It's hard for me to forget someone after I've met them. Which is annoying when I don't like the person at all." She tells you.

She looks around to see if she missed anyone and see that Eren and Zeke are seated at a table nearby. She wrinkles her nose and looks at you. "Like them for example."

Eren

Eren approaches the table Zeke is at and immediately grabs one of the napkins on the table to clean his face.

Zeke doesn't hesitate to cackle with laughter. "Let me guess, she didn't take it too well, did she?"

Eren sighs and sits down. "She didn't even let me attempt to explain."

He knew it wasn't gonna be easy but it still frustrated him how difficult and stubborn you were being.

"You just gotta keep trying. She'll give in eventually." Zeke mentions.

Eren sets his elbow on the table and his hand massages his forehead. "What if she doesn't? What if I really lost her for good?"

"Do you love her?" Zeke asks. Eren gives him a stupid, annoyed look. "Obviously."

"Then don't give up." Zeke says point blank. "If that's the girl you want, never stop chasing after her. The more effort you put in, the more she'll see you actually care and wanna be with her."

Eren scoffs and throws his crumpled up napkin on the table. "You make it sound easy."

"It is." Zeke says as he stands up from his seat. He closes the button of his suit and straightens the rest of his attire out. He then slides a hand through his golden locks. "Watch."

He begins to approach the table you and Amara are sat at. Once he's in front of her, Zeke holds out his hand. "Dance with me."

Amara knits her brows together and crosses her arms. "No."

Eren laughs. He knew it. Zeke made it sound so easy but it really wasn't.

"I'll stop smoking." Zeke bargains. Amara freezes for a moment and then narrows her dark brown, almost black eyes at the gray eyed man in front of her. "Liar."

Zeke takes the pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and tosses it on the table in front of her. She looks down at it and then back at him. "How do I know you're just not gonna get another pack? How do I know you'll actually stop?"

Zeke chuckles. "I'll do anything you ask me too."

Amara continues to glare but then eventually gives in and rolls her eyes. "Fine, one dance." She holds up a finger. "Just one, Jaeger!"

Eren felt his mouth practically drop to the floor. He really did make it look so easy.

He always knew his brother had game. He was sarcastic, smart and witty and girls with mostly daddy issues went crazy for that.

Amara was different though. She had liked Zeke back when no one knew him and he was too shy to even make eye contact with her.

Zeke flirted with girls and went out with them but never really took any serious and he always claimed it was because none were interesting enough, but in reality it's because he kept comparing them to the first girl he ever loved.

Eren remembered Zeke talking about Amara for hours and hours and how he always wanted to talk to her but was always intimidated by her.

It was clear Amara liked him back. She found it adorable whenever he would practically pass out each time she would smile at him in the halls.

She had told Eren once a long time ago that if Zeke ever asked her out, she'd say yes.

But he never did. Too infused with the attention he was getting from all the girls who never even knew he existed before he became a star player, completely disregarding the girl who acknowledged him from the beginning.

The two remained friends during that time. Amara moving on and Zeke only paying attention to her here and there, flirting with her occasionally.

Although his crush for her always remained, he didn't realize how deep it was until the two graduated and she left for college and he never saw her again except through pictures on social media where she posted her travels and moments of her living her best life.

He had lived with regret ever since then. Annoyed with himself for choosing the attention over temporarily women over one he could've had this whole time.

Eren didn't want to be that way. Miserable like his older brother whose attempts to patch up his mistake failed over and over.

He didn't want to live with regret. He had to fix things here and now before it was too late. Before you left far away and he had to watch your grow and thrive through pictures online like Zeke had to with Amara.

As Amara stands up to dance with Zeke, Eren notices you're seated at the table now at the table alone. Well, not alone because Amara's little sister was there beside you but he wasn't too worried about that.

He began to try to work up the courage to go over there. Follow in his big brother's footsteps and say something smooth to convince you to just give him one dance.

But he couldn't think of anything. He was terrified. He already knew you were gonna turn him down and he didn't wanna have to deal with the rejection.

The more you rejected him, the more he was gonna lose hope.

He didn't understand how Zeke could be so persistent and motivated. The man kept getting back up everytime he got shot down. And all for that one girl.

But it seemed like he was right. If you really love her, you keep trying and eventually she's appreciate the effort and give it a shot.

The fact that Zeke was currently dancing with his dream girl was clear proof of that. It gave him hope. Motivation.

He begin to feel his adrenaline kick in as his confidence returns. He chugs his glass of water and clears his throat, fixing his tie.

He stands up fully prepared to strut over there when he sees a group of people approach the table now. Just like that, his adrenaline is pushed down.

Eren sees Zeke and Amara return back from the dance floor.

That was quick.

He wasn't surprised when Amara literally meant only one dance.

She plops down on the seat in across from Eren. "Little Jaeger." She voices.

"Amara." Eren says back. "Still making my brother miserable I see."

"Still making girls regret ever meeting you I see." She throws back.

Eren chuckles and Zeke laughs. "I'm gonna get a drink from the bar. Want something?" He asks her.

"Tequila sunrise." She says without hesitation. Like she already knew he was gonna ask her.

"Get me something too." Eren tells him. Zeke does a thumbs up and walks away leaving him and Amara at the table.

"So I see you met Y/n." He says breaking the ice. "I did." She says dryly. He could tell you had filled her in on everything based on how she was acting toward him.

Amara and him used to get along very well. So well that Eren really hoped she'd end up with Zeke because he didn't mind having her as family.

His parents also loved her. They too wanted her to date him. She was always around because of Pieck and at the time Zeke and Porco were always together.

Eren respected Amara. In all honesty, he was honestly kind of scared of her. He always saw her like an older sister.

Eventually she stopped coming around so much when Zeke began to ignore her for other girls. She would still say hi to Eren here and there but it wasn't the same.

Then one day she left for college and never looked back. She came to visit her family a few months after his parents died and she had heard all the stories about the infamous Eren Jaeger.

When he heard she was in town, he was honestly kind of embarrassed. Ashamed that she knew now what he had become because she always thought very highly of him. "Don't end up a whore like brother." She had warned him many years ago before he became exactly that if not worse.

He remembered bumping into her one day and he was right at the peak of his complete and utter asshole era and he treated her very poorly. Spoke to her like she was some girl he never knew.

"I'm gonna let this slide because I know you're going through it but watch your mouth, Jaeger. You're gonna push all the people away who actually care about you and you'll end up alone." He recalls her saying.

He hated the way she looked at him that day. That was the day he began to realize his dead parents excuse was slowly running out. Soon people were gonna stop letting it slide and not want to deal with him anymore.

He gained even more respect for her that day for putting him in his place and saying what everyone else was too scared to say.

This was the first time he had seen her since that day and the way she looked at him then is the same way she looks at him now.

He sighs. "Look. I had a reason alright, I didn't just-"

She holds a hand up. "Why are you explaining it to me? Explain it to her."

Eren grits his teeth and spreads his arms out wide. "I tried! She doesn't let me."

She frowns. "You tried once, Eren. Once. She shoved a cupcake in your face and now you're admitting defeat? Come on."

He clenches his fists. "I've been texting and calling her but she has me blocked!"

Amara snickers. "She's smart." Eren's face twists into a furious expression. The same expression that used to always make her laugh when he was younger.

"I'm saying she's smart because that means you have to explain things to her in person not over the phone." She explains.

He sets his head down on the table. "She's impossible to talk to. She's never gonna let me get through to her."

"You aren't even trying." She tosses one of the small m&m's that rested in a bowl in the middle of the table at his forehead and it bounces off.

He wipes angrily at his forehead. "Dude. I'm trying, alright? I don't know what else to do."

"Try again. And again. And even after that." She says. Zeke returns and he remembers Zeke said the same thing.

He sets her bright pink-orange drink in front of her and sets the two Jack and Coke's down for him and Eren.

"What are we talking about?" Zeke asking unbuttoning his jacket and sitting down.

"How Eren is a pussy." Amara says taking a sip from her drink. Zeke laughs. "Ah. We're talking about y/n then."

"What if you put in a good word for me? Help ease the tension before I go in." Eren suggests.

Amara's eyebrows pinch together. "The fuck am I, your fluffer? I'm not a damn messenger. Do it yourself!"

"You're no damn help at all!" He shouts at her.

"I'm not here to help, idiot! You're a whole ass adult, grow some balls and do it yourself!" She shouts back.

Zeke watches as the two go back and forth with a grin on his face and his drink to his lips.

"Pussssssssssyyyyyy." Amara sings. Eren slams his fist on the table. "Fine!"

He grabs his glass and chugs the drink until it's finished. Zeke winces. "I told the bartender to put extra Jack in there."

Eren burps and then wipes his mouth with his sleeve. "Alright. Let's do this shit."

Zeke cheers him on. "Go get the girl." Amara leans back in her chair and crosses her arms. "This should be fun to watch."

Eren flicks her off and then looks at the table you were seated at before and notices you're not there anymore. "Where did she go?"

And then he sees you. You're on the dance floor dancing. And not just with anyone.

Fucking Gojo Satoru.

Amara smirks. "Like I said. This is gonna be fun."

  y/n

You watch as Amara follows Zeke out to the dance floor. You can tell he was grateful for even just one dance with her.

Now you were left with Mahkayla, her little sister.

"How old are you?" You ask her. She sets her phone down. "I'm 16."

"Ah, so you're in junior year now huh?" You ask as you take a sip of your water. You had no idea why you weren't drinking like everyone else.

Then again, maybe it's better you're sober tonight considering the situation.

"Yeah, just started." She replies. "How old are you?"

"I'm gonna turn 19 soon. I'm a freshman in college. How come you're spending your Saturday night here? Shouldn't you be like out with friends at the movies or the mall or something?" You ask.

She shrugs. "They invited me out but my sister is in town and I never get to see her anymore since she left."

You chuckle. You completely understood that because you were the same way at her age. You went out here and there with your friends but any opportunity you got to hang out with your dad, you took.

It wasn't until after your dad died that you started going out every night and partying it up every chance you got. You went from loving coming home from school to never wanting to step a foot inside the house, taking any excuse you were given to not be there.

Now that you think about it. Mahkayla reminded you a lot of yourself at that age. The way she dressed, the way she talked.

You miss being that way. So innocent and unaware of how cruel the world could be and how the people who resided on it were even crueler.

Back before you saw your dad the way you did, before your mother began to act like you were something that was always in her way, before the partying, before befriending the toxic mean girls and becoming one yourself, before the drugs, before Anthony, before that horrible, horrible night.

Back when you were wide eyed and pure. When your biggest problem was passing your classes and buying the coolest looking clothes.

You missed that version of yourself. She was kinder. Happier.

You spoke about your 16 year old self like she wasn't the same person. She seemed like someone you used to know. Or worse, someone who passed away.

It was a painful reality to realize you'll never be that girl again. As much as you yearned for it. You were too far gone. Too damaged. Too traumatized. You almost died twice and came back. There was no way you were gonna come back the same person.

Pieck jogs over to the table, her long white dress held up in her hands so she doesn't trip over it. Porco behind her along with Yelena and Onyankopon.

"There you are. I've been looking for you everywhere. I want you to meet my bosses." She says out of breath.

You look at Yelena as she towers over you. She holds out her hand and you take it before she bows forward. "Yelena. Nice to meet you. You are absolutely stunning."

"I agree." Onyankopon smiles. That damn smile. He shakes your hand and plants a kiss on it.

Pieck rolls her eyes. "Let's not flirt with my sister. Thank you." She says as she yanks his hand away from yours.

Porco sits down beside you and looks at your glass of water. "You're not drinking? I'm surprised."

"We're about to take shots. Take some with us!"
Pieck grins. You're hesitant at first but all four of their eyes greedily watch you awaiting you to stand up and join them.

"Okay. One or two." You say standing up. Pieck squeals and jumps up and down as she claps. "Yay! Okay, let's go!"

You turn to look at Mahkayla realizing you're gonna leave her alone but two girls and a boy that look around her age are now seated beside her. It would make sense she knew them considering Amara knew everyone and their mommas here.

The five of you walk over to the bar and Onyankopon holds up five fingers when speaking to the bartender.

"Wait! Where's Amara and Colt?" Pieck asks spinning around.

"Amara is dancing with Zeke and Colt I have no idea where he is. I haven't seen him since I got here." You answer.

Pieck looks at you, her eyes bursted open. "Amara is dancing with Zeke?!" She leans forward to peek past the wall and gasps. "Oh my god. Finally!"

The bartender sets down the five shots of clear liquid and you immediately know it's tequila. Your arch nemesis.

Onyankopon passes out the shots to each of you and when he hands you yours he says, "Here you go beautiful."

You smile and take the shot from him. You honestly didn't mind hanging out with people more Pieck's age as much as you thought you would.

They were fun in an unproblematic way. They were also way more well spoken and polite. You felt older just hanging out with them.

Everyone's shot glasses meet in the middle making a several clinking noises. "Congratulations, Pieck and Porco. May your marriage be filled with love and happiness." Yelena toasts.

All of you toss back the shots and Pieck hoots. "Whew! Okay, next one!"

Your mouth drops open and a laugh escapes. You had seen Pieck drink before but she was more of a wine girl.

You hadn't really seen her get this excited to take shots of straight tequila. It was rare to see her relax and let loose like this and you absolutely love it.

You wipe at your mouth. "I think that was it for me." You admit.

"Nah, nah. You said one or two." Porco reminds you. "Here's number two." He hands you another shot and you just stare at it.

"Come onnnn." Pieck whines. "We never get to drink together! It's my wedding night so you have to."

You sigh. "Fine."

After that, they somehow managed to convince you to take even more two after that.

"Okay, now for sure I'm done." You say cringing as the last one hit you hard. Pieck hiccups. "Yeah me too. Atleast for now. I still gotta take pictures."

Her and Porco leave to go talk to some guests while Yelena and Onyankopon order themselves mixed drinks and then take them to their table.

You sit up on the stool and look at the menu. You tap your manicured finger on your lip, it sticking to your lipgloss each time it makes contact.

You hear the stool next to you grind across the floor and you look up to see who is seated next to you.

"Hi." He smiles with his hand extended out to you. "Gojo."

"I know." You say back, your eyes going back to the laminated sheet on paper in your hands.

He scoots his seat all the way beside yours and looks at the menu you hold. "Your name?"

"Y/n." You reply, your eyes flicking up to look at him as he looks down at the list of drinks. He was even prettier up close.

Without moving his head, his eyes look up at you, the intense blue of his eyes shining through his pale white, long eyelashes. "Pretty name for a pretty girl."

You roll your eyes and bring them back to the menu. He points at one of the drinks. "You should try that one. It's good."

Before you can even answer, he asks the bartender for two of them. "Um, what if I don't like it?" You ask.

He sets his elbow on the counter and holds his head as he smirks at you. "You like to dance?"

"Yeah." You say setting the menu down. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"Dance with me." He says cooly.

"Why should I?" You ask him.

"Why shouldn't you? You have a boyfriend or something?" He tests.

You laugh. "No." He nods at the bartender when he sets the two drinks down and takes a sip of his. "Then who is that guy you keep looking at?"

You pause. "What are you talking about?" He points at Eren across the room. "Him."

How did he notice you've been staring at Eren? You didn't even notice you had been watching him. You atleast weren't conscious of doing so.

"That your boyfriend?" Gojo asks. You scoff and take a long sip of your drink. "Not anymore."

"Ah." Gojo lets out as he looks at Eren. He turns back to you and grins. "Wanna make him jealous?"

"What, really?" You giggle, your straw in between your pretty lips. Gojo looks at them for a moment and then back to your eyes. "Yeah, really. You'd be surprised how good I am at pissing people off."

You smile. "I wouldn't be surprised at all actually."

Your flirtatiousness excites him, his chair coming even closer to yours. "Very funny. So we doing this or what?"

You bite nervously at the straw. "Mmm, I don't know. He's kinda crazy."

Gojo shrugs. "I can take him."

He stands up and holds out his hand. "He wouldn't even be able to touch me. Come on." He winks.

You look down at his hand and then back at him. "You sure about this?"

"Any excuse I can get to dance with you, I'll take." He says smoothly.

Now you understood why he was so successfully a womanizer. His confidence and charisma was definitely attractive and alluring.

And a good thing he had some cause he's gonna need it with Eren being here. You hope he can back that slick mouth up because you're sure Eren is not gonna like the fact you're dancing with another man. Especially one that looked like this.

And for that exact reason, you decide take his hand. It was time to show Eren he fucked up in letting you go.

He leads you to the dance floor. "Wait right here. I'm gonna request a song."

You stand in the middle of the floor as people dance all around you to the song currently playing.

You turn to the table Eren is seated at to see if he's watching but you see he's too focused on Zeke and Amara.

Well mostly Amara as she chucks an M&M at his forehead.

Gojo returns and has a huge smile on his face. "You better know the words to this song."

Poison by Bell Biv Devoe begins to play.

He dances to the beat as the song starts and you watch him with a big smile. He was funny without even trying.

He wiggles his shoulders along with the rhythm as he moves around you hitting every beat perfectly.

He holds up an imaginary microphone up to his lips. "You ready Ron?"

He holds the microphone made of air to your lips now. "I'm ready." You laugh.

He points at a random person dancing nearby. "You ready Dave?" The person is confused at first but then catches on. "I'm ready Slick. Are you?"

Gojo grins. "Oh yeah, break it down."

"Girl, I must warnnn you." He points at you and sings. He continues to dance in front of you and you're amazed by how good of a dancer he is and how he's not embarrassed to move like this in front of people.

You giggle as you watch him dance around you. He gets down on a knee and uses both hands to shape your body in the air. "Mm, mm, it's all so beautiful." He sings along.

He stands up and continues to serenade you. You sing along with him as you get more comfortable unable to hide how much fun you were actually having.

"It's driving me out of my mind." He sings to you as he grabs your hand. He pulls you toward him until your back is right against his chest. "That's why its hard for me to find."

He twirls you around so you're facing him again. His hand comes up to your chin as he lifts it up so you look up at him. "Can't get it out of my head."

"Miss her, kiss her, love her." He holds a fake microphone up to his lips and then holds it up to your mouth for you to finish the next line. "Wrong move, you're dead."

He grins when you actually do indeed know the lyrics. "That girl is poisonnnn."

There was several people dancing along with both of you now, joining in as they can no longer resist the catchy song.

You and Gojo continue to dance together and sing the song in sync. Him saying one and you finishing the rest.

He dances up behind you. "If I was someone else watching you dance like that, I'd for sure be jealous." He says in your ear.

You laugh. "You think it's working?"

He spins you back around. "Oh yeah. You should see his face right now."

You smile. For your own sake you don't even look that way and just take his word for it.

For one, you don't want him to catch you looking because then he'll know you're doing this on purpose. Even though you totally were.

Second, you knew the second you looked at his face, your mood would be killed and you were having way too much fun for the first time in a while.

You needed this. You deserved this. A temporary distraction from all the bullshit. You thought it was gonna be a very long time before you smiled and laughed like this again.

Both of you and the rest of those who accompanied you on the dance floor dance for the rest of the song and practically scream the chorus one more time until the song is over.

Once it's done, you sigh and take a break. "Okay." You say out of breath. "I gotta use the restroom. Be right back."

You walk away from him and you try your hardest to get the room to stop spinning in circles and you attempt to find where the restrooms are located.

With each step you take, you regret those four shots more and more. That mixed drink didn't help either.

You weren't drunk yet but you definitely for sure caught a buzz. You felt good. You felt relaxed. But it would probably be best if you left it at that and didn't drink any further.

After you finally let your full bladder catch a break and the bloated pain in your lower stomach disappears, you slip out the stall and walk over to the sink to wash your hands.

You look at yourself in the elegant, golden framed mirror as you do. You still looked well kept together but your eyes were already starting to look hazy and low, completely obvious the alcohol was influencing you.

The door opens and Amara comes in. "Oh hey." She says when she notices you. She walks into one of the stalls and locks herself in it.

"Hey." You say shutting off the water. "I saw you danced with Zeke." You tease her.

She laughs behind the beige stall door. "Just one dance. I saw you dancing with Gojo."

You chuckle. "Just one dance."

The toilet flushes and she steps out, a smirk on her face. "I don't blame you. He's a good time."

She steps beside you and begins to wash her hands. You look down at them and when you pay extra close attention to them, you notice faint, faded scars on her wrists.

You didn't mean to stare but you found yourself looking longer than you should've. It was odd to think of Amara being someone who used to self harm because she seemed so well put together.

She was independent and confident. She had graduated college and had a good ass job. Had her own place and everything. Moved away from everyone and was living on her own.

From the short amount you knew her, she seemed almost like the way you viewed Pieck. Perfect and mature.

But then again, Pieck and Porco both said she was like Pieck but crazier so who knows what her backstory is.

You felt like shit for assuming she had it all together. For assuming she didn't get to where she was without struggling first. But she was just so good at disguising it.

She catches you looking through the mirror's reflection and she shuts the water off and dries her hands. "You know who else saw you dancing with Gojo?"

"Who?" You ask. Even though you already knew the answer.

She leans on the sink and crosses her arms. "Eren."

"Really? Didn't notice." You lie. She snorts. "Yeah okay. Well, whether you noticed or not, he saw and I think you should go out there because he's drunk and planning to confront Gojo."

Your eyes shoot open. "Wait, right now? Are you serious?" You panic.

Eren drunk? You had never even seen him that way. You've seen him drink, sure, but the man had a high tolerance. You could've swore you only saw him have like two drinks.

Not that you were keeping track or anything.

"Yup. I tried to convince him not to but you know Eren and he does whatever the hell he wants." She shrugs off casually.

Why wasn't she panicking? Eren could possibly start a fight and she's the maid of honor, shouldn't she be making sure everything goes good?

It's a set up.

There's no way Eren is drunk and what a coincidence Amara was last seen talking to him before she came in here.

"You're lying." You state. You're fully prepared for her to continue on with the act and carry out the mission but she doesn't.

Instead she sighs and spins back around to look at herself in the mirror. "Yeah, I am." She tucks some loose strands of hair behind her ear. "He wasn't gonna stop bugging me until I tried to help."

You roll your eyes. "So he told you to lie about him being drunk and confronting Gojo?"

She takes out a tube of lipgloss and reapplies some to her lips. "Oh, the Gojo part is true. The drunk part was a lie."

"What?!" You groan as you rush out the restroom, Amara trailing behind you.

"There you guys are. Is Eren drunk?" Pieck asks. You turn to see where she's looking and see Eren arguing with Gojo.

Gojo was unfazed and smiling big like he found it amusing.

"I'll handle it." You sigh. Pieck turns to you. "What? No, I'll just get Zeke to do it. It's his fault he's here anyway."

You shake your head. "I'll do it."

Pieck studies your face. "I don't know, y/n. Are you sure?" Amara elbows her. "Let her do it."

"It's your wedding night. Stop stressing out. I'll handle it." You walk away from her and head toward Eren, grabbing him by his arm. "Excuse us." You say as you pull him away from Gojo.

He smiles at you. "Oh hey, there you are." You drag him by his bicep toward the exit. "Stop talking."

"Where are we going?" He asks the two of you start to stop in front of the elevator. You ignore him and press the small arrow on the wall that points upward.

The doors slide open and you push him inside. "What room number are you staying in?" You ask turning toward the buttons with all the numbers on it.

"14." He answers. You press the number 2 and cross your arms. You stay as far as humanly possible in the tiny compacted elevator.

There's an uncomfortable silence on the trip up to the second floor. The elevator music adding humor to the awkwardness.

"You look amazing." Eren slurs. You stare up at the roof. "You said that already."

The elevator finally stops and makes a loud ding noise, the doors coming apart. "Let's go."

The two of you step out and you turn to him with your hand held out. "Give me your card."

Eren frowns. "Credit card?" You narrow your eyes and give him a stupid look. "Room key, idiot."

"Ohhh." He laughs as he pats his pockets. "It's somewhere here."

You wait for him as he explores through all his pockets with an annoyed expression and stance.

He finally finds it and hands you the card. You begin walking to the room as he stumbles behind you, his rough hand gliding across the wall for support.

Finally, you make it to his room. You hold the door open and he stumbles in. You close it behind you and press your back against the door. "You can drop the act now."

He frowns and takes off his jacket, revealing his white button up. "What act?"

"You're not drunk." You say crossing your arms. He smiles and begins to slowly unbutton the shirt. "How do you know?"

"Because I've seen you drink way more than you drank tonight and barely even catch a buzz. You only drank two drinks." You explain.

He grins and removes the now unbuttoned top from his body. "So you've been watching me?"

You scoff. "More like making sure you don't fuck up my sister's wedding."

He chuckles and starts to remove his belt. You try your hardest not to stare at his naked torso and chiseled muscles.

"You're a bad actor." You say. "You pretending to be drunk sucked. I saw right through it."

He looks at you and smirks. "The point was to get you alone and it worked either way."

You scoff and turn to open up the door to leave but he closes the door shut. You look up and see his extended arm hovering over you, his palm flat on the door.

"Move." You hiss.

"Let me explain myself." He says in a low voice. You spin around to face him. "I don't wanna hear whatever bullshit story you're gonna spew out."

"It's not bullshit. It's the truth." He says, his arm coming down. His hand finds its way to your cheek and you smack it away. "Don't touch me."

You slip past him which kinda backfires because now you're more inside his room but at least you're far away from his reach.

"Don't you wanna know what happened?" He asks, turning to face you a couple feet away. His naked upper body was distracting you.

"I really don't give a fuck." You snap. "You left and now you're gonna regret it for the rest of your life because you don't get another chance."

He kicks his shoes off. "I don't think that's true at all."

Your face twists up with anger. "It doesn't matter what you think! That's how it is."

He takes a step closer to you. "How can I convince you?"

You take two steps back. "You can't. I've made up my mind and I'm sticking to it. I've moved on. I'm over this and I'm over you."

"Oh, you got over me that fast? You got another boyfriend already or something?" He asks, scooting closer.

You take another step back. "And if I do?"

He barks out a laugh. "Who? Gojo? That guy would never take you serious. And who else? Colt? That guy wouldn't last a day with you. You'd eat him alive."

You stand your ground. "Who says it's one of them? And don't strain yourself trying to guess who it is."

"Whoever they are." Instead of taking small steps, he just begun to fully walk toward you now. "You know damn well, they can't do it like me."

You keep walking backwards the closer he gets to you until you bump into the window. You look back as you feel your back press up on the cold surface.

You turn back to him and you press your hand against his chest to stop him from getting even closer. "Don't."

He kneels down in front of you. "Let me make up for it. Please."

He kisses the skin of your feet that is exposed in your strappy gold heels. "I'll do whatever you want."

His lips travel up from your foot to your ankle up to your calves. You get flash backs from how he kissed you just like this and claimed he worshipped you right before he left you.

Your nails dig into the window sill as you feel your blood start to boil. You grab his face and squeeze his cheeks right before he makes it up to your thighs. "If you'll do whatever I want, never talk to me again."

He looks up at you, green eyes sparkling. "Anything but that."

Your eyes grow cold but then it fades as you smile. "Would you die for me?" You ask batting your eyes and leaning forward to be face to face with him.

He nods, mesmerized by you in front of him. "Yes." He whispers.

You lean in closer like you're about to kiss him but stop right before your lips touch his. "Then do it."

You feel a small gasp of air leave his lips against yours and you pull away. You stand up straight, towering over him as he's still down on his knees.

"You don't want me to die." He says. You laugh and start to walk past him when he grabs your leg mid flight causing you to fall to the ground.

You let out a sharp gasp as you make impact with the floor. You're down on your hands and knees now. You sit down on your ass and look down at your palms that burned from breaking your fall. "You fucking idiot. What's wrong with you?!"

He crawls over to you and caresses your face. "Don't leave."

You smack his hand away. "You mean like you left me?!"

"I didn't want to!" He groans out of frustration. "Why don't you understand that?!"

"How can I understand if you don't tell me anything?!" You shout back.

"I'M TRYING BUT YOU DON'T LET ME!" He yells.

"Because it's too late now! You should've told me that night. Or even after. Not a god damn whole week later." You argue.

"I tried to call and text you but you have my number blocked or something." He explains.

You try your hardest to hold in your laugh. You didn't block his number, you literally tossed your phone at the wall full force until it shattered. But he didn't need to know that.

"Okay and what's your excuse for not telling me that night then? If there's some lame excuse for what you did, why didn't you just talk to me about it right there and then?" You ask.

"Because I wasn't thinking clearly. I thought I was doing the right thing. I thought I was protecting you." He admits.

"Protecting me? By breaking my heart and throwing all my insecurities in my face making them ten times more unbearably noticeable?" You snap.

He shakes his head down at the ground. "I didn't mean to say those things. I just wanted you to hate me so it could be easier for me."

You laugh a dark laugh. "Easier for you? You made me feel like complete and utter shit to benefit yourself?"

He pulls at his hair. "No, that's not what I meant. I worded it wrong. Fuck! Y/n I-"

You stand up from the ground. "Well, you got what you wanted. I hate you. I hate everything about you! The way you talk, the way you act. I hate how you say one thing and do a complete other one. I hate that you lie. I hate that  you've slept with half the damn planet! I hate that I treat the girls you've slept with like shit because I was jealous and insecure when it's YOU!"

You point your finger right at him. "That I should be judging not them."

He angrily stands up from the ground to stand in front of you. "What, you think you're so perfect?!"

"I never said that!" You shout.

"Since we're talking about stuff we hate, let's talk about you." He says through gritted teeth.

"I already know what you hate about me, you told me already." You speak.

He continues anyway. "I hate that you overthink everything before even asking me. I hate that you hold grudges. I hate that you're so closed off sometimes. I hate that you get an attitude for no damn reason at all. I hate that you overreact over dumb stuff. I hate that you put other people before yourself. I hate that you're so gullible and believe anything everyone tells you. I hate that-"

"HELLO?! You do all those things too! Fucking hypocrite!" You interrupt him.

"I'M NOT DONE TALKING!" He shouts.

"NEITHER AM I BECAUSE I HAVENT EVEN SAID THE WORST ONES!" You scream back. "I hate that I care about you!"

Eren stays quiet and his furious facial expression softens.

"I hate that I care. I hate that I worry about you more than I worry about my own damn self. Even after you broke my heart, all I did was worry about you." You say.

"The whole time I was thinking to myself: what's Eren doing? Where is he? Is he okay? How is he feeling?" You continue.

You let out a deep rooted sigh and look down at the ground, ashamed of yourself. "I hate that I care. I hate that I let my guard down and let myself fall for your bullshit when I had every sign not to. I hate that I was so stupid."

You lift up your head to look at him. "So yeah you're right. I am gullible. I fell for all the lies you told me. I thought you were different. I've never been loved properly and for the first time ever I thought I was finally being loved the right way and it was all a lie."

His face melts. "It wasn't a lie y/n, I promise you. You mean everything to me."

Eren grabs you by the shoulders. "You're my entire fucking world. Please believe me."

You feel yourself breaking. It was so hard to not fall for what he was saying. He was too damn convincing. "Let go of me."

"No!" He pleads. "I need you to understand."

"I DON'T CARE! DON'T YOU GET THAT? ITS TOO LATE!" You yell, your voice starting to crack. "I trusted you with that stuff and you used it against me. To purposefully hurt me. Whether you had an excuse or not, it was beyond fucked up and you know it."

He stays quiet. He knew you were right. He took it too far. He had good intentions but he executed it poorly. Causing more damage than good.

You push his hands away when you realize he's not gonna say anything. "I'm leaving."

He grabs your arm and pulls you back to him and kisses you hard.

[play After Dark by Mr. Kitty here]

You melt into him for a few seconds, the world slipping away as your lips touch and you feel temporarily bliss.

But then you remember what he did.

You pull away and instinctively slap him. You gasp and cover your mouth. You try your hardest not to laugh when you see the red hand print of his cheek and his head twisted to the side.

You snort into your hand and his eyes turn cold as his head slowly turns to you. "You think that shit is funny?"

You remove your hand away from your face. "Yeah, actually, I do. You deserved that."

He grabs you and presses you up against the wall. "What about the shit you deserve?"

You laugh. "What? Love? Happiness? HONESTY?"

His jaw flexes as he grinds his teeth. "If anyone deserves a slap to the face it's you."

Eren
You laugh in his face. "Oh yeah? And who's gonna give it to me? You?"

There was no way he could. He didn't have it in him to hurt you.

Well, maybe during sex. He didn't mind doing it during that if you were into it but actually slapping you out of anger, he would never.

And as if you read his mind. "Do you have a slapping kink or something? Along with that piss kink of yours?"

God, you really knew how to push his buttons.

He chokes you and you grin. "I don't have a piss kink." He growls.

"Then why are you getting so angry about it?" You coo. His grip tightens as he gets more irritated. "I'm not."

"My throat says otherwise." You croak out a laugh that sounds rough due to the blockage.

He squeezes slightly tighter. "God, I just wanna.."

"What? Kill me?" You ask. "Yes." He answers.

You push air out of your nose. "Do it. Kill me. You'll be even more fucking miserable if I'm dead. Probably come cry at my grave every day or actually...maybe you won't just like you don't go to-"

He pushes you back against the wall harder, your head slightly hitting it. "SHUT UP!"

You cough out a laugh and wrap your hand around his wrist for support.

How were you finding this amusing? Either you were seriously fucked in the head or you were somehow getting turned on by this.

He can tell you're starting to feel the oxygen slip away from you and your head get woozy as your legs give out under you and your back begins to slip down the wall.

Your legs spread apart which makes his thigh slide into between them. You smile. "Remember when I rode your thigh in the shower?"

There's a flutter in his chest as all his blood goes straight to his dick.

It must've been all over his face or you felt his boner or something because you start to giggle. "You're getting horny right now? You're fucked in the head."

"Shut the hell up. You're one to talk. You think I don't know you're getting turned on by this too? You're just as fucked up in the head as I am." He snaps.

You grin. "No, you're right. I am getting turned on."

You look him right in his eyes as a sinister smirk forms of your lips. "I'm so wet. Wanna feel?"

His eyes shoot open and he had to rewind what just happened to make sure he heard correctly. How did you go from saying you hate him from asking if he wants to feel how wet you are?

"Touch me." You whisper as you spread your legs further apart.

His eyes scan yours trying to see if you're serious, contemplating if it's a trick or not.

Your hand that was wrapped around his wrist falls to the hem of your dress lifting it up past your thighs.

His grip around your throat loosens but he keeps his grip form. "You're lying."

You shake your head. "I'm not. Come on. Touch me."

He grits his teeth together. It was taking all his strength and everything in him to not fuck your brains out. His dick ached with pain against his pants.

As much as he wanted to, he also wanted you to hear him out. He wanted to explain everything to you before you had sex with him.

As much as the idea of angry sex with you made his dick twitch with excitement and his adrenaline pump, he didn't want you to get the wrong idea and think that's all he wants from you.

"What are you waiting for?" You ask.

"I can't." He sighs as he weakly attempts to hold himself back. You start to laugh. "Fucking pussy."

His heart jumps at those words. He hears Amara's voice calling him that exact same thing earlier.

He releases your throat finally and you gasp for air, your hand coming around your neck to rub at it to soothe the ache.

His now free hand comes to meet the space between your soft thighs and his fingers quickly slip your panties to the side.

The tips of his fingers barely graze you and he can already feel how drenched you are. "I thought you were mad at me."

"I am." You say flatly as you slip further down the wall so that you're rested comfortably against it.

"I thought you hated me." He adds.

You scoff. "I do."

His fingers slide up and down your folds, collecting all the moisture and he can hear the lewd noises of his fingers swimming around. "So why are you letting me touch you like this?"

You close your eyes and tilt your head back against the wall. "Don't you hate me too?"

"Yeah." He says slipping a finger in you. You hiss and instinctively grab at his arm. "So why are you touching me like this if you hate me?"

He could read pleasure all over your face already with just a finger. He began reminiscing on the faces you would make when he would use more than just a finger to get up inside you and he groans quietly. "I can't help it."

"I thought you thought I was annoying?" You ask. He inserts another finger as they pump in and out of you. "I do. You don't know how to shut the fuck up."

You smirk. "Shut me up then."

His hand comes up behind your neck and he pulls you over to the bed and slams your face down into the sheets with your ass bent over in front of him.

He lifts your dress up higher so it sits perfectly at your waist and he slides your baby pink lace panties down to your ankles, exposing your lower body fully now.

He feels a pang of anger and jealously when he sees you're freshly shaved and wore cute underwear. He knew damn well you didn't expect him to be here so who were you wearing cute underwear and shaving for?

"Who did you wear those for?" He asks, his fingers rubbing sweet circles around your clit causing your legs to begin to tremble.

You lift your head up slightly to look back at him. "Don't worry about it."

He feels a wave of hot flashes all over his body as his possessiveness kicks in. There was no way in hell he was gonna allow anyone to touch you this way or fuck you the way he does.

This view right in front of him is just for him only.

He shoves your head back down and keeps his hand there so you don't get back up. "You better not be fucking anyone else."

You laugh and it's slightly muffled as your mouth is suffocated by the sheets. You turn a little to the side so you can breathe. "I can do whatever the fuck I want."

He smacks your ass hard and you wince. His hand stays planted there and he squeezes it harshly. "This. This is mine."

You laugh even harder this time. "No it isn't. You left me. I'm single now and that means I can fuck whoever, whenever."

You attempt to stand up straight but he shoves you down again with one hand while he unbuttons his pants with the other and kicks them off.

"I don't even know why you lie to yourself. You know no one is gonna satisfy you the way I do. Accept it." He says taking his painfully erect dick out finally.

"No one is gonna fill you up perfectly the way I do." He glides the tip up and down your sopping cunt to get it prepared for entry.

"You can fuck whoever you want but I know damn well you're gonna be picturing me the entire time." He laughs.

You smack open your mouth to talk shit but he shoves his dick in roughy all the way down to the base causing you to gasp. "Fuck!"

He presses even deeper and your hand grips hard at the sheet underneath you and he catches your face scrunching up.

He grins as he slowly slips back out of you. "Look at you. Barely one stroke in and already losing your shit. Who else is gonna do that to you?"

You let out a deep breath like you had been holding it when he's out of you. "I don't know, I'll let you know when I find out though."

His hand comes down to meet your ass again but this time harder causes you to jump a little.

That same hand slides under your throat and pulls your body toward him so your back is pressed up against his bare chest.

He chokes you hard when your face is by his. "You fuck anyone else and I'll fucking kill him." He says in your ear.

His dick finds its way back inside you like it has the passage memorized without looking and all by touch.

You chuckle. "You'll never even know if I do." You try your hardest to sound as cocky and bold but the way he was fucking into you with full force had you hiccuping your words.

He releases your neck for a moment while he pulls the dress over your head so you're completely naked like him now.

After he tosses the satin dress to the side, his rough hand wraps around your throat again and with his other hand he presses it firmly on your lower stomach so he can feel the way it bloats up each time his dick goes deep in you.

"I'll fuck another baby into you so you can't have sex with anyone else." He says into your ear, his wet lips grazing the lobe causing you to squirm as it tickles you.

"I'll just get rid of it like I did with the other one." You moan. He chokes you harder to the point where he knows you're gonna really have trouble breathing and the hand that rested on your stomach slides down further.

He starts to play with your clit as he continues to fuck mercilessly into you. He already begins to feel your legs shake. "I'll just keep doing it again and again."

He notices you squeeze your thighs together and your knees touch so you can relieve the pressure. He had made you cum way too many times to know how your body behaves right before you're about to.

"Aw, you gonna cum already, baby? I'm just getting started." Eren chuckles softly.

He looks up and sees there's a mirror off to the side so he turns his connected body with yours so that he's in front of it now.

Your eyes are closed and tongue licking your lips as you're in ecstasy. "Look how beautiful you look when you're about to cum all over my dick."

You shake your head, eyes still closed. He grabs your face that is turned to the side and forces it forward. "Look."

You refuse so he bends you over and fucks you even harder causing you to cry out. He could listen to all your cries, screams and moans over and over again and never get sick of it.

He leans forward so he's bent over behind you and he begins to kiss all up on your neck, his tongue painting the sides of it.

"No one can fuck you like this, I promise you." He says right before he pulls you up straight again. "You're mine forever."

Your eyes open and you look in the mirror as he pounds sinfully into you from the back. He notices you're watching now and he grins. "Good girl. Watch me fuck you."

You try to turn your face away but he quickly grabs it and keeps it straight. His next stroke he goes all the way into you until it hits your cervix and causing you to scream.

He puts his two fingers that were fingering you earlier in your mouth. "Shhh." Your lips naturally wraps around his fingers and you suck on them.

Your eyes meet his in the mirror and he looks up at you as he sloppily kisses your neck. You looked so beautiful like this. A sweaty, crying mess. Naked and legs apart for him. Your mouth licking all up the juices that coated his fingers.

"How do you taste, baby?" He asks. You don't answer him and he laughs, his finger slipping out your mouth. "Nevermind, I'll find out myself."

He throws you on the bed and lifts up your legs and pushes them as far back as they can go. His hands tie your ankles up together as he begins to indeed find out by himself.

He starts to lap at your already embarrassingly soaking pussy adding even more fluids to it. He eats it like he hasn't eaten in days and if we're being honest and technical, he really hasn't.

His tongue explores all of you, even inside you as he tries to slip it in there as much as he can. You taste as sweet and tart as you always do.

He had given you head in and fresh out of the shower where it just tastes like skin and clean. As good as that tasted, this tasted better. It tasted more like you.

As he continues to devour you, his fingers slip in and out of you all at once. He watches as your back arches and your head is thrown back, eyes fluttering up at the roof.

After he continues that for a short while, he finally comes up for air when he notices your legs trembling more and more.

As much as he would love for you to cum all over his mouth like you have before, he wanted it on his dick most of all.

He was obsessed with the feeling of your pussy gripping tightly at his dick desperately as it clings onto it before you finally release all over him.

He hovers over you now and he's in awe with how beautiful you look from up here. There was a gleam of sweat all over your face that made you have that sex glow and your lips were swollen and damp from you biting down on them.

He kisses you hard and for a moment you actually kiss him back. While you're distracted by his lips on yours, he creeps back inside you causing you to moan into his mouth.

God, he'll never get tired of that. He wanted to do that over and over again just so he can hear the sound. To feel your voice send vibrations into his mouth.

He slowly pulls away from you and there's a thin string of saliva that connects his lips to yours. He breaks it with his thumb and then runs it across your lips like he always does to you.

He didn't know why he loved doing it so much. He had never done it to anyone. But ever since he first had the urge to kiss you, he found his thumb running across your pretty lips.

He taps on them with that same thumb as he continues to fuck into you. "Open your mouth."

The two of you had done a good amount of kinky shit together. You thigh riding him or tying him up on a strangers bed and edging him just to name a few.

He knew you were as freaky as they came. That's why he had so much fun with you because you match his sexual desires so perfectly. But he wanted to know what else you were into.

He wanted to see if you'd like him spitting in your mouth or maybe even be into him slapping you like he questioned earlier.

You shake your head. "No."

He slaps you hard but not too hard. "Open up."

For a moment he's a little worried he went a little too far with that one but his suspicions about you being into something like that is right because you smile big and your eyes sparkle.

You open up your mouth, sticking out your tongue slightly as he drops spit into it and you willingly take it.

Yeah, I'm gonna marry her.

The sex continues even more intensely from there. An hour and several different sex positions later, the two of you begin to reach your limits.

Well, him. You had came twice already. Aiming for a third time.

"E-ren." You cry. "I can't."

"Shhhhh. You can do it. One more time." He soothes you. You shake your head, tears falling out the corners of your worn out eyes. "It's too much."

"Come on baby. Be a good girl and cum for me just one more time." He coos in your ear sending chills down your spine.

You relax your body as you allow him to do it once more. He himself feels like he's already at his climax. He wanted you to cum at the same exact time he does.

He looks down at you as you're on your back again. His hand grips your throat hard as he uses it for support as his hips crash into you even faster.

Your hands wrap around his wrist as you feel all the pressure swell up on in your head.

"You want me to cum in you?" He asks. Your eyes widen and you attempt to speak to say no but his huge hands wrapped tightly around your throat restrict you from doing so.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you." He says as he goes even faster and chokes you harder. You try to shake your head but again, his hands hold you down so tight that you can't.

You squeeze your eyes shut and try your hardest to speak but no words come out. It was too intense for you. The overwhelming speed and power of his dick slamming into you paired with the lack of oxygen was causing you to spin.

"If you don't say no, I'm gonna do it." He teases. Your hand grips his wrist harder and your nails dig into his skin.

He looks down at you clawing him and he laughs. "Is that your weak attempt of trying to tell me something? You tapping out?"

He knew you had to much pride to tap out. To admit you couldn't take it anymore. To admit he was too much for you to handle.

To admit no one else was gonna have you screaming this much and cumming this much.

"No?" He shrugs. "Okay, I'm gonna cum in you then."

Your face stays put like you don't actually believe he'll do it. Your lips pressed together and brows furrowed.

Prideful motherfucker.

"Fuck. I'm gonna cum." He grunts. He can feel you start to internally panic and your mind start to race on whether he was being serious or joking with you.

A moan slips out of him and you panic and start to rapidly tap at his arm signaling you give in and surrender.

He lets go of your throat and pulls out of you at the exact same time.

You gasp for air and cough when the oxygen you were desperately lacking fills up your lungs again. He spills his cum all over your stomach as you try to get your head to stop spinning.

Once you finally catch your breath, you glare up at him through your eyebrows as he empties the rest of himself out onto you. "I fucking hate you."

He chuckles and places both hands flat on the bed as he leans forward and tries to stop his heart from racing rapidly and also as well try to catch his breath. "I fucking hate you too."

After Eren wipes your stomach clean and the both of you use the restroom, he collapses on to the bed exhausted.

He felt so drained. He had never in his life fucked anyone as rough and hard as he did with you. The hate sex was definitely worth it but he felt like he could sleep for days now.

He lifts one eye open and sees you slipping your underwear back on. "Where you going?"

You frown. "Um, my sister's wedding? I already missed like two hours of it because of you."

He smirks. "You weren't complaining earlier."

You ignore him and search for the rest of your clothes. "I noticed you call Pieck your sister a lot more now. You used to never call her that. You would correct everyone and say step sister."

"Okay." You say lifting up your dress from the ground and shaking it in the air to get rid of any dust and stuff on it.

He grabs your hand to stop you before you slip the dress back on. "Lay down with me for a second."

You scoff. "No." He yanks your arm and pulls you toward him. You lose your balance and fall into his arms.

"Just for a minute okay? You can go back to hating me after." He says softly. You sigh and give in, laying your head on his chest.

He feels your ear press right up against his heart. He recalls that one night after a vigorous amount of sex, you cuddled in this exact position and you teased him about how his heart was beating so fast.

"Why you so nervous?" You teased him. He laughed. "I'm not. I'm just out of breath."

You tapped your hand on his chest following the rhythm of his heart. The two of you had laid there quietly until you spoke up. "My favorite thing in the world is to hear your heart beat."

He had asked you why and you said because it meant your favorite person in the world was alive and well.

He lays here now in that same position and your ear directly above his heart and he wonders if it's still your favorite thing to listen to.

But it probably isn't. You hate him now. He hurt you when you needed him the most. He had abandoned you when he said he never would. He had betrayed you.

He waits for your hand to tap along with the beat of his heart on his chest like you always do but it never does.

Instead you just lay there quietly. He wished he knew what was going on in that beautiful mess of a head on your shoulders.

He couldn't tell if you were sad about what happened. You didn't seem like you were. You seemed fine but then again, it's been a whole week since he's seen you so who knows how you were during that time period.

He cranes his neck as slowly and discreetly as possible so he can sneak a peek at your face. From the small amount he can see, he can see your eyes look distant like you're somewhere else mentally.

"What are you thinking about?" He asks. You look up at him. "Hm?" You turn back to stare at the wall. "Nothing, just zoned out."

"You okay?" He asks. Now he was starting to get worried you were overthinking having sex with him. Did he just make things worse?

"Mmhm." You hum. He knew you were lying. Something was clearly bothering you.

"Come on, y/n. You can talk to me. Just tell me what's wrong." He continues to press.

You laugh through your nose a little. "I don't need to tell you everything. Not anymore, at least."

"You didn't before either." He says with clear attitude in his voice.

You scoff. "Yes I did, are you kidding? I trusted you more than anyone. You know practically everything about me."

"Why didn't you tell me you almost died before then?" He asks. The words just slip out but it was too late for him to turn back now.

He feels you flinch, your breathing coming to a halt.

[play The Worst by Jhene Aiko here]

You lift your head up and look right at him. "What did you just say?"

He sits up. "You almost died. You overdosed. Why didn't you tell me?"

He sees your eyes grow wide and your mouth drop open. "How do you know about that?" You stumble off the bed.

"So it's true." He says. You say nothing. You stand there in shock for a moment but quickly snap out of it, rushing to put your clothes back on.

"Hey." Eren calls as he sits at the edge of the bed. You ignore him and scramble around grabbing your garments that were splayed across the room.

He notices you're shaking and breathing weird like you're starting to panic. He knows this all too well by now.

He quickly slips on his shirt without buttoning it back up and follows you.

"Hey!" He shouts and grabs your arm in an attempt to stop you from pacing. You yank your arm away. "How do you know about that?!" You yell.

There was a terrible ache in his heart as he heard your voice crack. There was a wild assortment of emotions dancing in your eyes.

Scared. Embarrassed. Ashamed.

"How.." You whisper, your eyes dart back and forth in attempt to read his mind but he doesn't answer. He was regretting even bringing it up.

You shove him up against the wall, his head hitting the surface and causing the large picture frame that hung there to shake. "You tell anyone and I'll kill you!" You cry.

You have his shirt balled up in your hand, your grip strong and nails digging into the fabric. "I'll kill you." You repeat.

He looks at you as tears begin to build up in your eyes. "I won't tell anyone, y/n. I promise."

"You're lying!" You shove him back again. "You promise shit and break it. You promised you wouldn't leave me or hurt me and you did."

The tears break loose from your eyes and one races down your cheek. "You're a liar and you're lying now."

Eren brings his thumb to your face and wipes the runaway droplet. "I won't tell anyone. But Historia-"

Before he can finish, you release his shirt and slam your hands over both ears. "Stop talking!" You shout.

Eren grabs your arms to pull them down. "Y/n, listen to me."

You shove him away. "Get away from me!" You scream. "Don't touch me!"

You were crying harder now and hyperventilating as you hold your hands out in front of you. "Just.. stay away from me."

"Y/n, it's okay just calm down." Eren says slowly taking steps forward.

Your breathing was even more slow and sharp. His chest hurt just hearing you struggle, the sound was raspy and painful.

You cover your face with your hands and you cry into them. "Go away. Just go away."

Your hands pull away from your face and cover your eyes as your eyes squeeze shut. Eren hears you quietly mutter stuff to yourself and as hard as he tries to listen, he doesn't understand a word you're saying.

You sink down to your knees and continue to cover your eyes and talk to yourself. He kneels down in front of you and now that he's closer he can hear what you're repeating.

"Breathe. You're okay. Just breathe. It's okay."

The same words repeated again and again.

Eren has witnessed many of your anxiety attacks and he's never once seen you do this ritual. He would see you panic and cry and hyperventilate and all he would need to do was hug you or talk to you and you would slowly calm down.

He begins to realize this is something you recently started doing. Something you forced yourself to learn since he wasn't around to help anymore.

He can't imagine how many times you've had to do this since then. He just prays it's not a lot.

He sits quietly in front of you as you keep repeating the same four sentences over and over.

"Breathe. You're okay. Just breathe. It's okay."

He wasn't sure if this method had been working for you but he knew for a fact it wasn't working now. He waited and waited to see any changes but you were still shaking and struggling to breathe normally.

As gently as he can, he reaches for one of your hands but you slap it away. "Stop!"

"Let me help you. I can make it go away. Please y/n." He begs. You squeeze your eyes harder and shake your head furiously. "I don't need you! I can make it go away by myself!"

I knew it.

It was confirmed now. This was something you had recently taught yourself. Or maybe it's something you had started years ago but dropped it when Eren came around because there was no longer a need for it.

Either way, he knew for a fact it wasn't working. You were getting worse and worse. He wanted to help so bad. More like he needed to but you were making it so damn difficult.

It was all his fault. He shouldn't have just sprang that up on you so abruptly. It caught you off guard probably triggering everything ten times worse.

But he needed to let it out. Ever since Historia first said it, it crept in the darkest corners of his mind. The fact that you could've died before he even had the chance to meet you.

He knew you had a bad past with drugs and partying. But he never knew it was bad to the point where you were hospitalized and on the verge of losing your life.

He began to think he didn't know you as much as he thought he did. He used to think he knew you like the back of his hand. Turns out he still has a lot to learn.

"Why won't it stop?" You sob. The acrylics of your nails began to dig into your skin as you grew frustrated with your failed attempt to control your anxiety attack.

"Let me help you." Eren pleads. He couldn't stand to see you like this. Not only physically struggling but he knew mentally too.

Especially when he knows it's his fault too.

"You can help me by going away!" You yell. "I was fine until you showed up!"

Your eyes are open now and you're looking right at him. Your face was swollen and puffy already from all the crying and there was a glisten of snot shining underneath your nose.

"Why can't you just leave me alone?! What the fuck else do you want from me?" You hiccup. Your words were broken as you sobbed and struggled to control your stuttering chest.

"Do you enjoy seeing me cry? Do you enjoy seeing me hurt?" You ask. Eren could physically feel his heart break. "No. Of course not. It hurts me to see you this way."

"THEN STOP! Leave me alone!" You sob. You crawl over to him until you're right in front of his face. "I'm begging you to release me. Let me go."

Eren's eyes burned furiously as the passage of his throat became blocked by an imaginary force. "I can't do that."

Your neck loses its strength and your head falls to the ground. "Please. Please just leave me alone already."

"Fine but just let me help you, okay? I can make it go away. Please y/n." He lies.

"NO. I don't need you, alright?! I can make it stop by myself! I-I just can't do it while you're in here. I need you to leave, you're only making it worse!" You argue.

"I just have to calm down. I need to breathe." You say softly as you close your eyes and cover your ears again as if that will help anything.

"I don't need you. I don't need you." You begin to chant. It was like you were trying to convince yourself or somehow manifest it.

He didn't know what to do at this point anymore. Asking and begging and attempting to convince you to let him help wasn't working so he just had to do it by force.

He quickly wraps his arms around you before you can fight him off and he squeezes you tight so you can't break away. "But I need you." He says.

He hears a sharp gasp leave your mouth beside his ear, your breathing temporarily stopping.

"I need you, y/n. You might not need me but I need you. You're the sun, remember? You shine all on your own. But I'm the moon. And the moon doesn't shine without the sun." Eren says softly.

He's relieved when he feels you no longer trembling. You also aren't attempting to break free.

"I don't need you." You repeat again, your voice so quiet he almost missed it.

"Good. Because that's not what I'm here for. If you don't need me to control your anxiety attacks, that's fine. I'm glad even. I'm glad you can do it all on your own because then that means I won't have to worry so much when I'm not with you." He admits.

He begins to rub your back as your violent sobs turn into muffled cries and then into quiet sniffles.

"I'm happy you can do it all on your own. Because that's not why I'm here. I'm not here just to help you with your anxiety. I'm here because..."

He trails off. Hesitant to say the next words. Scared shitless even.

"Because I love you."

He feels your whole body freeze in his arms. It was like you turned into a statue. It was killing him that he couldn't see your face right now as it's buried in between the side of his neck and his shoulder.

"I love you more than anything. And I know that must terrify you. Trust me, it scares the living shit out of me too but I don't care." He continues.

"I love you so much that a lifetime without you isn't worth living. I love you y/n. I'm so in love with you. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you." He says hugging you tighter.

It's quiet for a few moments. The only sound being the AC blasting and your nose sucking back up the snot that dripped out of it. He could also hear the faint sound of music blasting from the floor below.

"You don't have to say it back. I just had to finally say it. Well, I've said it before." He says breaking the silence.

You wipe at your nose with your wrist and pull away from him. "You have?"

He nods. "Whenever you got shot and I was driving you to the hospital. I thought you were gonna die so I had to tell you before you did. I was practically screaming it at the top of lungs."

You laugh a little, a small snot bubble forming under your nose and it quickly popping causing him to laugh too. "If I knew I had to die to get you to confess you were in love with me, I should've done it a long time ago."

"Shut up." He chuckles and grabs your face so he can wipes your damp eyes with his fingers. "You know damn well it's obvious I'm in love with your dumbass."

He waits for you to say it back or just say anything at all but you don't. You just stare at the ground as your shoulders rise and fall, your body attempting to return back to its normal state.

He picks up the loose strap of your dress that hung weakly past your shoulder and sets it right at the top of it. "Come on, let's go."

You nod and grab his arm to use his sleeve to wipe the left over liquid under your nose and some around your mouth.

"Oops." You say when you see your makeup now smeared on his white sleeve. He laughs. "It's okay, the jacket covers it. I just hope I don't get hot."

He stands up and buttons the shirt up before slipping the jacket on and his pants. He holds out a hand for you to take and you do.

Your legs wobble as you stand and he tries his hardest not to laugh. You glare at him. "Hand me my heels."

You sit on the bed and he kneels down as he helps you slip your shoes on and he also helps strap them.

"I probably look like a hot mess. I just got fucked and then I also had a whole anxiety attack and bawled my eyes out." You sigh as you stand up and look in the mirror.

He comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist and kisses your cheek. "You look good. Fuck whoever doesn't think so."

You smile a little. He stares at your connected bodies pressed together in the reflection and he gets a flashback of the Halloween party when he was holding you in front of the mirror just like this but both in costumes.

Just seconds before everything went to shit.

He knows you just thought of the same thing cause your smile fades and your face grows cold. You slip out his arms and clear your throat. "Let's go."

Without even waiting for him, you start to walk out the door and he quickly trails behind you in order to catch up.

You stand at the elevator after you press the small button with the down pointing arrow and avoid any eye contact with him.

Great. She's mad again.

You were a literal emotional rollercoaster. One second you screaming at him, the next you were horny and telling him to touch you and then the next you were crying your eyes out.

The elevator door opens and you both step inside. You press the 1 on the wall and then cross your arms and look up. "What happened to your hand, by the way?"

He looks down at his right hand and sees the bandages wrapped around his knuckles. "Punched my windshield."

"Of course." You scoff. "At least you wrapped it up."

He stares at you even though you won't look at him. The girl he's so desperately in love with. The girl he would do absolutely anything for.

"Can you stop staring at me?" You ask as you impatiently tap your foot against the floor.

He opens his mouth to speak but the elevator's ding and sliding doors interrupt him. You don't hesitate to step out of it not even waiting for his response.

Before you enter the hall, you turn to him. "What time is it?"

He frowns when he wonders why you don't just check your own phone and then he starts to realize he hasn't seen it at all since he saw you.

He takes his out of his pocket and flips it for you to look at it. Your eyes burst open. "Shit!"

You run into the large hall and immediately stop in your tracks. You see Amara jumping up and down with Pieck's wedding bouquet in her hands as girls around her give her bitter looks.

You frown and Eren notices. "What's wrong?"

"I didn't get to catch the bouquet." You say sadly. Eren laughs. "Did you want to?"

"Kinda, yeah. I've never caught one before. I at least wanted to try." You admit.

Eren smiles like he just thought of the best idea ever and you frown. "What?"

[play flashing lights by kayne west here u won't regret it!!]

He holds out his bandaged hand. "Come on." You look down at his hand and then back at him. "Where are we going?"

"There's another wedding two streets down. Let's go get you that bouquet before it's too late." He says confidently.

"But I can't just go in there and take some random person's bouquet!" You laugh. Eren shrugs. "Why not?"

"Well, what if they try to beat me up for crashing their wedding and stealing the bouquet?" You ask, crossing your arms over your chest.

"I wouldn't even let them touch you." Eren states. He wiggles his fingers that belong to the hand he still has extended out for you to take. "Let's go."

You bite your lip and stare at his hand and then back at him, contemplating if you really should.

He grins. "Who's the pussy now?"

You smile back and take his hand. "Fine."

He immediately pulls you out and takes off running, dragging you behind him.

Once you exit the building, he begins to speed down the stairs causing you to stumble a little. "Hey! I have heels on, you know!"

He stops half way down the steps and scoops you up. He rushes down the stairs, setting you back down once he makes it to the bottom.

"Hurry up! We're gonna miss it!" He says grabbing your hand again. The two of you take off running again and you can't control your laughter.

Eren turns back to look at you while still running, a huge smile on his face. You can't help but to smile back.

He didn't know if you had forgiven him yet or if things were gonna go back to normal but he just wanted this moment right now to be a happy memory.

He watches as you're a uncontrollable laughing mess as he drags you behind him. It was the world's best feeling knowing he's the one responsible for that look on your face.

He could tell you couldn't believe you were actually about to do this and he loved that he pushed you out of your comfort zone and made you do bold stuff.

The two of you take off running down the road earning a few angry honks here and there which only makes both of you laugh even more.

The wedding was literally two streets down and with the speed you both are moving at, you get there in no time.

You stop right in front of the venue and grab Eren. "Wait." You stand in front of him and fix his tie and brush loose strands of hair behind his ear.

He fixes the straps of your dress that hung loosely at your shoulders. "Ready?"

You gleam. "Ready."

The best part of sneaking into this wedding is that you fit right in. You were already in wedding attire.

You both slip past the doors without anyone even noticing or sending questionable looks.

You gasp and tug at Eren's sleeve. "Oh my god, oh my god. We made it right on time! It's a sign! She's about to throw it!"

Eren turns to the unknown bride as she stands up on a stool to toss the bouquet back and he sees a vicious crowd of probably drunk women already pushing and shoving eachother.

He turns back to you and sees you biting your nails. He laughs to himself.

She's not gonna do it. She's gonna chicken out.

He hears you mumbling something to yourself but the music is loud so he can't hear.

"...1!" You yell as you charge right in front of the group and shoving a girl to the side and stealing the bouquet from her.

His mouth drops.

She actually fucking did it.

You squeal and race toward him. Now it's him who is getting dragged behind you this time. "Come on! Let's go quick!" You scream.

He doesn't hesitate to run after you. Now this time for sure people were giving weird looks as you pass them by.

He can hear angry shouts and people asking if they knew who you were or how you got in here.

You two both race out the building and you cheer with excitement holding up the bouquet proudly. "I did it! Did you see me?! I did it!"

He smiles the biggest smile he ever has. You were overwhelmingly adorable. Your happiness was contagious.

He looks down at your intertwined fingers locked with his. It felt like forever since he held your hand like this even though it's only been a week.

Even though it's only been a week, it feels like an excruciatingly painful eternity. He never wanted to be without your presence again.

He wished he could live in the moment forever. Remember you just like this.

"I CAUGHT THE FUCKING BOUQUET!" You scream out into the world. Passing people turn their heads in confusion as you both continue to race back to the wedding you were actually apart of.

Finally, you're back at Pieck's venue and you immediately release his hand and run straight to the center of the dance floor where everyone resided.

"Look what I got bitches!" You sing as you join Amara and Pieck dancing in the center.

Amara gasps. "Twins!" She bumps her bouquet into yours.

"Where the hell did you get that?" Pieck laughs. You wink. "Don't worry about it. I have my ways."

Zeke appears next to Eren and places a hand on his shoulder for balance as he's swaying. "Everything all good now?" He asks.

Eren admires you as you dance and jump up and down with excitement and happiness. "I hope so. But it seems too easy. I don't know."

Zeke takes a sip of his drink. "Don't think negatively. She seems happy."

"She does, doesn't she?" Eren smiles.

Eren grabs your hand and brings you to him. The two of you start dancing together and you smile. "You're a pretty good dancer now."

He smiles back. "I've been practicing." He looks at the bouquet in your hands. "Does this mean we're gonna get married next?"

You burst out laughing. "Why would we get married?"

Eren's smile drops, his face burns with embarrassment. "Well, maybe not now but we are back together, right? So eventually."

You cover your mouth and giggle. "Oh, thats adorable." You wrap your arms around his neck to come closer to him.

Your lips brush up against his ear. "We aren't back together."

You can feel his body tense up and you grin.

"We're just fucking." You say into his ear.

Wait...what?

He pulls away from you, his eyes wide and scanning your face to see if you're joking or not.

Your innocent smile transitions into a sinister smirk. "You didn't think it'd be that easy, did you?"

He should've knew better. Should've known you wouldn't have forgiven him that easily. Not without getting him back first atleast. He forgot who he was messing with.

You sigh and wrap your arms around his shoulders again. He stays frozen trying to process what just happened.

"I honestly don't think I ever wanna get back together, to be honest. You're kinda really annoying. I mean, you're kinda a lot to handle. You get mad and throw tantrums like a child. Punching walls and windshields and shit." You say dancing with him but he's still standing painfully still.

"You have panic attacks and cry over me leaving your house. You're like a child. I always have to watch over you to make sure you don't do anything stupid." You keep going.

Ouch. So this is how she felt. Yeah, I'd be pretty pissed too.

It hurts like hell.

He pushes you off him. "Stop y/n. I get it. You're trying to hurt me like I hurt you."

You pout. "Aw, am I hurting your feelings? What are you gonna do about it? Cry?"

His jaw flexes and you laugh. "Or are you gonna go punch a hole in something?"

"Fuck you." He says through gritted teeth. You wink. "Already did."

You bring a finger to your lips and look up to the roof. "Like 30 minutes ago too."

He stares at you in disbelief and you smile. "Here." You toss the bouquet to him and he catches it. "I don't want it. Throw it away or something."

[play For The First Time by Mac Demarco here it fits so well]

He freezes when he realizes that's the same exact thing he told Floch about your scrunchie. This was his literal karma.

You skip away from him and join all the tipsy bridesmaids who dance around a very drunk Pieck. You match their energy by whooping and dancing along with them.

Like you didn't just completely and absolutely violate him.

He watches as you take a champagne glass from a passing caterer and start to chug it as the girls cheer you on. A huge smile on your face.

Where you were usually his exact reflection, it didn't feel like it this time. Where he was shocked and hurt, you were proud and cheerful.

He felt his skin sting with the heat of anger flowing through his body. He was hurt and confused but most of all, furious.

He couldn't believe after everything he said in that room to you, you still chose to get revenge. Even after he proclaimed his love for you. After his whole speech.

Revenge was still on your mind.

He knew you wouldn't be like this forever. You just needed to get him back. You had the insistent need to get even all the time.

But he found himself feeling otherwise.

He felt hatred. He found himself hating you. Hating you for being stubborn and immature. Hating you for holding on to a grudge. Hating you for playing along like you had forgiven him just to play his feelings and make him feel the way he made you feel.

He now 100% understood how you felt that night.

He sits back down at the table he was originally sat at and tries to contemplate what to do now. Does he give up? Does he keep trying?

He looks at you as the you take shots and chug more champagne glasses and dance like you have no care in the world. Like what happened, didn't just happen.

The also practically drunk groomsmen join on the floor, dancing along the girls. Porco spins Pieck around and the two practically fall on the ground as his very drunk feet slip on her dress.

The rest of the groomsmen dance with their respective partners. Including Zeke with Amara and she surprisingly lets him without fighting it.

And that also includes Colt with you.

All he could was watch. As angry it made him and maaan, did it make him angry, he couldn't do anything about it.

He wanted to beat the shit out of Colt and grab you and take your ass back to his room but starting a fight wouldn't help with the situation.

It was your sister's wedding. If he started drama, much worse a fight, you wouldn't forgive him for ruining the wedding.

Not that he even knew if you would forgive him period.

He looks at you as you dance in front of Colt, his hands on your waist and chest pressed firmly behind your back.

He wanted to scream. He wanted to rage. He wanted to kill him.

He got flashbacks from the first night he met you. When he saw you dance exactly like that with Jean at his party.

At the time he found you annoying and hated you for having a smart ass mouth and attitude. For acting all sweet and innocent in front of everyone when he saw right though you.

And you hated him too. You saw right through him from beginning as well.

The two of you couldn't stand each other.

It sorta felt like that all over again.

Like he was seeing you for the first time again.

Watching you dance with someone else. When the only person you should be dancing with is him.

But just like the first time, you're not his to dance with.

His heart ached. He didn't wanna hate you. He was so madly in love with you but it was so hard when he spilled out his heart to you and you basically laughed in his face.

But then again, you're just doing exactly what he did to you so he can't blame anyone else but himself. He had to deal with the consequences.

He was so used to getting whatever the hell he wanted right when he wanted it. He should've know it wasn't gonna be like that this time.

It was gonna take more that one day and one apology to change your mind. Especially after the damage he caused you.

You were gonna make him work for it. And as much as things came easy to him and he loved that, he didn't mind having to actually try this time.

Because it was you. And like he told you earlier, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you.

He looks at his older brother who is drunk off his ass and twirls an even drunker Amara in a circle and then smoothly pulls her into his arms and kisses her.

Eren fully expects Amara to push him away or get mad but to his surprise, she kisses Zeke back, practically melting in his arms.

Porco and Pieck scream with happiness when they notice the two. "Finally!" Porco hoots. Pieck claps and everyone joins in making Amara turn bright red.

Eren smiles. As miserable as he felt right now, the cheesy grin on his brother's face was contagious. He looked the happiest he had seen him in a while.

He finally got the girl.

He gave him motivation and hope. If his brother chased after the same girl for years for a slip up he made years ago and didn't lose hope, he could too.

He preferably would like to not wait for years but if he had to, he would.

The look on his brother's face right now just proved it was all worth it.

"Hi." A girl says as she sits beside Eren. He doesn't even turn to her, his eyes glued on to you now hugging Amara.

"I'm Brianna." The girl continues. "Okay." Eren says.

The girl frowns at his lack of attention and responsiveness. "Do you wanna dance?"

"No." He says flatly. She pouts. "Why? You have a girlfriend or something?"

He nods. "Yeah. Her." Brianna turns to look at you and her eyebrows knit together as she scoffs. "She doesn't look like your girlfriend."

He looks right at her now. "Neither do you."

She rolls her eyes and gets up from the seat as she stomps away. Just when he thought he got rid of one problem, two more show up.

Skyler and Amaya. Porco's very well known cousins. The reason they were well known was because they were extremely problematic and messy.

The only reason he had the misfortune of knowing that was because Sky was Armin's crazy ex girlfriend.

Her and Amaya were always together and were practically inseparable. That is until they get too drunk and start talking shit to eachother to the point of fist fighting.

The two girls join him at the lonesome table. "Hey Erennnnn." Sky slurs. She was clearly drunk and so was Amaya so he already knew how this was gonna end up.

He sighs. "What do you want, Sky?" She grins and sets her elbow on the table. "How's Armin doing?"

"Why don't you ask him?" He asks making it completely obvious he's irritated.

Amaya groans. "Who gives a fuck about Armin? He dumped you like a year ago because you're psycho and you're still obsessed with him."

Sky's face twists up. "Okay? And you're still obsessed with Eren when you never even dated!"

Amaya stands up, her hand smacking the table. "Atleast he doesn't have me blocked on everything like Armin has you. I'm surprised he doesn't have a restraining order against you."

Sky scoffs and then turns to Eren. "Eren, why don't you reject her already so she can get the hint?"

He sighs deeply and sets his head down on the table. It was pounding and he just wanted to go to his room and sleep.

"Besides, I heard he has a girlfriend now." Sky grins. Amaya laughs. "More like did. Isn't it that the girl who was dancing with Gojo earlier?"

Eren tries to shut out their voices to avoid getting angry. The sound of their yapping along with the blaring music and screams and chants of the people on the dance floor was driving him insane.

"Did you see how good he looked, by the way? Maybe I should go home with him." Amaya adds.

"You're such a fucking slut." Sky cackles.

Amaya scoffs. "Yeah, you're right. Maybe I should text Armin and see if he's free instead."

Eren doesn't even need to lift his head up to know what's about to happen.

There's a loud crash and a bang and he turns his head to the side and sees the two girls down on the floor wrestling.

He sighs and watches them and debates if he should even try to stop it or let someone else do it. He turns to the dance floor and one even notices the fight until the DJ announces it.

They all begin to run over to see the show and Eren notices Porco unfazed like he already knew this was gonna happen and he's surprised by Pieck beside him who is laughing rather than mad.

Amara and Zeke stand beside them. "Are we supposed to stop this?" He asks her. She shrugs and looks at the wedding couple. "They don't seem to mind it. As long as they don't break anything, right?"

Eren scans to see who else is crowded around and sees two kids with their ipads up recording the fight and Gojo also holding up his phone proudly recording with the flash on.

He scans the room for you knowing you would probably find this amusing more than anyone but he doesn't see you.

He also doesn't see Colt.

y/n

You down another glass of champagne while the girls cheer you on. This was probably your fifth one and not to mention you had taken those four shots earlier and the one mixed drink.

You see Porco arrive with several shots in hands and in the back of your mind, you're telling yourself that it's not a good idea to take some but you're too drunk now to care.

After you take two more, you continue to dance along with everyone. Your feet began to ache in your heels as they swell up from the excessive amount of alcohol running through your body.

"I'm gonna go change my shoes." You announce. Pieck frowns and lifts up her dress exposing her bare feet. "Just go bare foot like me."

You wrinkle your nose. "I'll be back." You turn to Colt and place a heavy hand on his shoulder. "Come with?"

He lazily nods and follows behind you. You glide your hand along the wall for support.

When you finally make it to your room, Colt stands awkwardly at the door. You sit on the bed and lift up your leg to start taking off your shoes. "You can come in, you know? I won't bite."

He nervously chuckles and steps in gently closing the door behind him. You throw the shoe across the room and wiggle your toes to get your blood circulation to return to them. "God, my feet are killing me."

Colt chuckles. "Yeah, I bet. Mine kinda hurt and I'm not even in heels like you are."

You look down at his feet. "Those do look uncomfortable though. Take them off."

He frowns. "Like...right now?"

"Why not?" You ask, switching your legs. "If they bother you. You should be comfortable."

He kicks the shoes off and then holds them in his hands. You giggle. "You can leave them in here. Or we can stop by your room so you can change them like me."

"Oh okay." He says looking around on the floor like he's trying to find the answer on what he should do.

"Why are you so nervous?" You ask him as you stand up from the bed once both shoes are off.

"I'm in a room alone with a pretty girl. How can I not be?" He replies back.

You smile a little. You walk over to your bag and search for the slippers you packed. You drop them onto the ground and slide your feet into it. "Much better."

You lean all the way back until your head hits the soft sheets and you're staring up at the roof. "I'm gonna regret drinking this much in the morning."

Colt chuckles. "Yeah, me too." You sit up and smile at him. "Let's see who gets drunker."

He laughs. "I'm kinda a lightweight so it might be me." You get up and stand in front of him. "Only one way to find out. Let's go change your shoes so we can go back."

The two of you exit your room and walk over to his and you wait patiently as he changes into some more comfortable shoes.

You sit down on the edge of his bed and bounce a little as you frown. "Your bed is bigger than mine. I got the bigger room but your bed is better. I guess, they had to even it out somehow."

He smiles and continues to look through this bag.

"You think you're gonna use this tonight?" You ask him. He chuckles. "Like to sleep?"

"No. To fuck." You say bluntly. He drops the duffel bag and it makes a loud thud noise. You burst out laughing.

"Why are you asking that?" He asks quickly picking up his spilled belongings. You shrug. "I was curious."

He sighs as he begins to switch his shoes on. "There's this girl named Lexi who has been flirting with me but I don't know."

You stand up once you see he's almost done. "Why not? She ugly or something?"

He laughs. "No, no. She's very pretty but I just...I don't know."

You knit your brows together. "A very pretty girl wants to sleep with you and you're questioning it? Are you gay or something?"

He playfully shoves your shoulder. "No! I just.. that isn't the person I was hoping I'd end up with tonight."

"Oh." You say once it hits you. You completely forgot the boy in front of you claimed to have feelings for you, the fact that you were drunk too didn't help because you weren't thinking clearly.

"We should probably get back." You say pointing your thumb back at the door. You decide it's probably best for both of you not to be alone in a room right now.

You exit his room and he closes the door behind you. You walk a couple steps ahead of him, praying he just lets it go and doesn't push further.

But of course.

[play Not Allowed by TV girl here]

Colt grabs your arm. "Y/n, wait. Before we go in there and the music gets too loud, there's something I need to say."

You stare at him as you wait for him to say it but you're already fully aware of what he's about to say next.

"I.. I always thought you were the most beautiful girl since we were kids. I was too shy to say anything back then but I had the biggest crush on you. When I finally got the courage to talk to you, it was too late because you.. well you know." He admits.

"Okay." You say. You weren't sure what to say. This is all stuff you knew already.

"And well, you're single now and you're here. I have the balls to finally ask you out and I don't wanna miss the opportunity because I'm too scared again." He continues.

"Colt." You say slowly shaking your head.

"Stop. I know what you're gonna say. I know you just got out a relationship and you're probably not looking for anything but I just had to try." He says.

"You're drunk, Colt. I honestly don't think you know what you're saying." You say pulling your hand away from him.

"No, y/n. I know what I'm saying. I know I can treat you good. I know I can treat you better than anyone has. Better than he did." He debates.

"Stop." You say starting to walk away.

"It's still him, isn't it?" He calls after you.

You stop walking. He steps in front of you and looks down at the ground. "I'm not him but I'll mean something to you."

"You don't even know me, Colt." You say as you enter the elevator and press the first floor button. He steps in after you.

"Maybe not now but I knew who you were before you changed. Before your dad died. You might not remember but-" He starts.

You groan with frustration as your fists ball up. "That isn't me anymore, alright?!" You shout.

His mouth closes and he looks down at the ground. You sigh. "As much as I try to be that person again, I can't."

Now you're looking down at the ground too. "I'm not that girl anymore. That girl died along with her dad that day. I learned that today. I saw someone who reminded me of me before it all happened and it made me so nostalgic and sad but it was kinda like I got to say goodbye to myself and realize to stop trying to be someone I'm not."

There's a large mirror in the elevator and you look directly at yourself. "I changed and that's okay."

You turn to him. "You fell for the girl I was, not who I am."

"But I don't care if you're not that person anymore." He claims. "I like you this way too."

"You barely even know me! I promise you, you're better off without me, Colt. You deserve better. Much better. I'm too much. I'm.." You trail off.

Annoying. A burden.

You hear Eren's voice in your head.

"I don't want you! You're annoying! You cry way too much. You have anxiety attacks every five minutes."

"You're too much to handle and take care of. It's draining."

And then your mom's.

"Always bringing your problems everywhere you go, ruining the mood for everyone."

"Then you wonder why people don't want to be around you."

You dig your nails into your soft palms. "I'm not a good person. I'm not someone you wanna be around. I'll only make you miserable."

"I don't believe that." He states. The elevator dings and the doors open but you both stay in the elevator and watch as the doors close again.

"I'm not okay! I-I'm fucked up in head! I don't know what's wrong with me but.." You rub at your forehead as your head starts to ache. You were starting to feel nauseous. "All I know is there is something wrong with me. I'm damaged."

Colt grabs your vacant hand. "But I can help you. I can fix you."

"Fix me?" You rip your hand away. "I'm not some broken toy or project! What is everyone's obsession with trying to fix me? I don't need anyone's help! If I can barely fix myself what makes any of you think you can?"

"I didn't mean it like that." He defends. "I'm just saying that-"

You were starting to feel the small compacted elevator start to spin and you started seeing three Colts standing in front of you as your vision blurs.

You were about to either have an anxiety attack or pass out or vomit or all of the above and you definitely didn't want him to see any of it.

You grab onto the railing with one hand and the other comes up to your mouth as it begins to water. "Get out."

"But-" He begins. "Get out!" You yell.

He sighs and presses the button to make the doors open again. "I'm sorry, y/n."

The doors open and he's out of them just as quick. Once he's out of sight and the doors close again, you slide your back down the wall and sit on the cold ground.

You gently blow air out through your mouth as you try to stop the spinning. You close your eyes for a second and you feel yourself starting to doze off.

"I'm just gonna sit here for a second and then I'll go back." You announce to the empty elevator. You fight sleep but your heavy eyelids beat you.

Everything goes dark and you weren't sure if you imagined it or not but you hear the distant ding of the elevator and the sliding of the doors parting open.

Eren

He breaks away from everyone to try to look for you. His heart was beating impossibly fast. He wasn't sure how he was gonna react if he found you and you were alone somewhere with Colt doing who knows what.

He feels a sense of relief when he sees Colt entering the ballroom alone. He looks disappointed but also a little angry.

He almost walks right past Eren but he stops him before he does. "Where's y/n?"

Colt's slightly irritated expression turns full on when he notices it's Eren who stops him. He scoffs. "Why do you care?"

"Because I wanna make sure she's okay. She's drunk by now I'm sure." He replies as calmly as he possibly can.

Colt takes a drink from the tray of a passing cater. "More reason for you to stay the hell away from her."

"The fuck is your problem?" Eren snaps stepping closer to him but Colt doesn't budge. "You are. You really fucked her up, you know that? I don't know exactly what you did but it fucked with her head big time. She doesn't even need to tell me, you can literally see it."

Eren shrinks. "I know." Colt chugs the drink and then wipes his mouth with his sleeve when he's done. "She deserves better than you."

"I know." Eren says again.

Colt aggressively sets the glass down on the table nearby, his face toward the ground. "But she doesn't want anyone else but you."

Eren stays silent. Unsure of what to say.

Colt looks up and his eyes meet Eren's and they're cold and piercing. "So be better for her."

He slips past Eren, bumping his shoulder as he does and if were any other given moment, Eren would've took that as an invitation to fight but he lets it slide.

His main priority was finding you right now. Nothing else mattered.

He begins to search the entire main floor as well as outside and you're not anywhere to be found so he decides that you're possibly upstairs somewhere. Hopefully safe in your room.

He repeatedly stabs his finger into the elevator button as he impatiently waits for it to open. When it finally does, he doesn't hesitate to charge into it.

He presses the small number 2 button and takes a step back when he feels something underneath his foot.

"Ow." You say causing him to jump up. "What the fuck are you doing in here on the floor?!" He yells, his heart pounding from the scare.

You ignore his question and lift up the hand that he accidentally stepped on. "That really hurt."

He sighs and squats down beside you. "What are you doing in here?"

"Taking a quick nap." You mumble. He laughs. "In the elevator? Wouldn't your bed be more comfortable?"

You shrug. "Maybe. But then if I fall asleep on my bed I'll stay asleep and I need to go back to the party."

He chuckles and sticks his hands under you to lift you up. "I think you're done partying for tonight."

He picks you up with ease and carries you like a baby. Your head immediately leans up against his chest. "But they need me out there."

The elevator opens and he steps out with you still cradled in his arms. "What room number are you?"

You weakly lift up two fingers with one hand and make a circle with the other.

"Room 20? All the way at the end?" He asks heading that way. You nod. "It's the biggest room. Also, it's far away so no one can bother me."

He smiles and softly shakes his head. "Of course. Where's your room key card thing?"

You hold up a finger signaling him to give you a second as you reach into your bra and pull out the card. "Ta-da."

He laughs loud. "In your bra? You don't have a purse with your phone and shit in it?" He asks as he takes the card from your hand.

You shake your head and close your eyes as you return back to using his chest as a pillow. "I don't have a phone."

He frowns. "No? What happened to it?"

You yawn. "I broke it. I haven't had one for like a week."

He felt a flutter in his heart. This whole time he thought you blocked him but in reality you had no phone.

But knowing you, you probably would've blocked him if it wasn't broken.

"How did you break it?" He asks as he passes his own room. "I threw it at the wall." You say casually.

He can't control his mouth as it forms into a big cheesy grin. You two were terrifyingly alike.

Only difference was he went out a bought a new phone right after and you didn't.

"I can hear your heart." You mutter. His body keeps moving on the outside but on the inside everything stands still.

You begin to tap on his chest along with the rhythm of his heart. Just like you always do.

He felt his eyes burn as they stung with tears.

After he enters the card onto the key slot, the door opens and he kicks it closed before he gently sets you down on the bed.

"It's so hot. I feel like I'm melting." You groan as you start to strip. He instinctively blushes and looks away.

Normally he would be all over that and his eyes would be impossible to pry away from your naked body but that the fact that you were blacked out drunk didn't sit right with him.

"You want me to turn on the shower for you?" He asks facing away. He hears the sound of clothes being tossed around and sheets moving but no answer from you.

"Hey." He says turning back around. When he's facing you again, he sees you're fast asleep under the bed sheets.

He looks around and sees your clothes everywhere and he laughs. "You're gonna be so confused tomorrow morning."

He walks over to you and touches your forehead to make sure you don't have a fever or anything and you're slightly hot but nothing to worry about.

But he found himself worrying either way. He wanted to stay here with you and make sure you made it the rest of the night okay. To make sure you don't choke on your own vomit while you sleep.

But knowing you, you'd get pissed if you woke up and saw him here. Especially when you were already gonna wake up naked and confused with no memory on how you got here. Seeing Eren beside you would definitely not help and he didn't want you to hate him more than you already do.

He decides to leave you be. He brings the small trash can from the restroom and sets it by the bed just in case and then grabs a bottle of water from the mini fridge and sets it on the night stand.

He decides he's gonna tell one of the girls to check up on you here and there just to make sure you're okay so he takes the key card with him.

"Goodnight party animal." He says as he kisses your forehead. "I love you."

You weakly lift up one eye. "Hm?"

He chuckles. "Nothing. Go back to sleep."

You nod and immediately pass back out. He shuts the light off and exits out the room making sure to lock it on the way out.

When he gets off the elevator and makes it back to the main floor, he sees Porco and Pieck hugging everyone goodbye.

"Yo Pieck." Eren calls out to her. She holds up a finger to a guest and approaches him. "What's up?" She asks.

She sobered up surprisingly quick. The last time he saw her she was wasted and shaking her ass on Porco as everyone around her hyped her up.

Now she was perfectly standing still and talking calmly. She still looked buzzed but nothing compared to how she was just a while ago.

"Looking for your brother or something?" She asks. Eren shakes his head. "No but...where is he actually?"

She grins. "Upstairs with Amara." Eren's mouth drops open. He knew his brother got the girl but damn, he really got her. "No shit? Damn. Good for him." He laughs.

"More like good for her. She hasn't had dick in forever! She's so picky with stuff like that." Pieck admits.

"Speaking of picky," Pieck frowns. "Where's my sister?" She eyes him suspiciously.

He takes the key card out his pocket and hands it to her. "That's why I called you. She's in her room passed out drunk."

She looks down at the key and slowly takes it out of his hand. "Oh. You weren't gonna stay in there with her?"

He shakes his head. "No, I don't think she'd want that. You already know how she is. Her way or no way."

He points at the card in his hand. "Just check up on her here and there but I honestly think she'll be fine. Probably just hungover as hell tomorrow."

She blinks slowly at him. "Um, okay. Thanks. Yeah, I'll keep an eye on her."

He nods and starts to walk away. "Eren!" She calls out. He turns and looks at her.

She nervously tucks a dark strand of hair behind her ear. "Look. As much I want you two back together again... I don't think you should do it right now. Give her some time."

She looks down at the card in her hands and taps her fingernail on it making soft clicking noises. "She's not herself right now. Or actually maybe she is."

She lets out a deep sigh and shakes her head. "I'm honestly not sure what version is really her anymore."

She looks disappointed. But not in you. In herself. Like she's disappointed in herself for not being able to understand you. For not being able to help you.

"Whatever version she decides to be, I'll love her anyway." Eren says.

Pieck's head shoots up and her eyes gleam big. Eren smiles at her. "She's just trying to figure herself out. She's stuck between the past her and the future her. That's why the present her is so messed up because she's not sure who she wants to be more."

Pieck looks away like she's realizing it now. "She's still holding on the past."

Eren nods. "She doesn't want to admit that that part of her life is over."

"But why?" Pieck asks. Eren shrugs. "Beats me. The only person who truly knows is her. But you wanna know what I think? I think she's holding on to that version of herself because that's the last version her dad saw before he died."

Pieck quietly gasps. "She wants to keep being the person she was when he was still alive. If she admits it's over, it's like she's admitting he's really gone."

"Yup." He says. She looks at him in awe. "I don't know how you do it. I thought I read her pretty well but it took me years to do it. You... you just see right through her. You understand her in ways I never fucking will."

He smiles gently. "She's me in another body."

Pieck scoffs out a laugh. "I swear she has said that exact same thing before about you."

He laughs. "I'm telling you."

She lifts up the card and smiles. "Okay well, I gotta go. But thanks Eren. For this and for everything. I honestly don't know what she would've done without you. Zeke told me you feel like everything bad that happens to her is your fault but I promise you, her life would be a lot, and I mean a lot worse if you weren't in it."

"Thanks Pieck." He says. She smiles and waves goodbye to him as she returns back to sending off her wedding guests as the night gets older.

He walks back to his room and when he's right in front of it, he looks to his right at the very end of the hall and his eyes meet your door.

He hopes you're okay and resting well. But there was no way you weren't waking up with some kind of hangover tomorrow.

He takes off his clothes once he's inside and takes a quick shower before he settles into bed. He stares up at the roof as he repeats tonight over and over in his bead.

It was a rollercoaster of events to say the least. His favorite moment of the night though had to be when you said you could hear his heart beating.

The sex too, of course, was amazing.

But the part that was constantly playing in his head was Piecks words to him.

"Zeke told me you feel like everything bad that happens to her is your fault but I promise you, her life would be a lot, and I mean a lot worse if you weren't in it."

That made him feel a lot better. It was one thing to hear that from Zeke but to hear it straight from the mouth of you sister definitely hit differently.

Especially considering the fact he and her both disliked each other when they first met at the fair. How she threatened him to stay away from you.

Now here she was. One of the few supporters when it came to his relationship with you.

He smiles up at the roof. You definitely didn't forgive him and you definitely weren't back together but he felt like progress for sure was made. Even if it was just a little bit.

Tomorrow was a new day and he was gonna try again. And again the next day if he fails tomorrow. And again the day after.

His brother did the same thing and now he's in one of the many rooms on this floor getting with the girl he's been in love with for several years.

There was no way Zeke was gonna succeed at something that he couldn't. He wasn't gonna accept that. He wasn't gonna admit defeat.

He wanted the girl. And he was gonna get her.

y/n

Your eyes flutter open and the first thing your vision focuses on is the window that sunlight was gracefully shining through.

You were on your side and at the edge of the bed so you could see the mess on the floor. Your heels were thrown across the room and your dress thrown over a chair.

You catch your bra hanging off the lamp that rested on the night stand beside you.

You couldn't even remember taking it all off. Much less changing into pajamas.

You lift up the blanket slightly and see you're completely naked except for your underwear that hugged tightly at your hips.

I... slept naked?

You frown and then you feel your heart start to race. You gasp and cover your mouth.

Please don't tell me there's someone in the bed next to me.

You were too scared to turn around. Terrified of who you might see beside you.

Was it Colt? No. The two of you argued.

Gojo? No.

Onyankopon? Yelena even?

Or worse, Eren?

The suspense was killing you. You quickly twist around and you sigh with relief when you see no one there. "Oh, thank god."

You sit up and stretch. You look around the room for any other evidence of how you made it to your room but all you see is your garments scattered across the place.

You stand up and scratch your head. Walking over to the closet to change into some clothes, you spot a soft, fluffy white rob in there that you didn't even notice the first time.

Your body felt exhausted and tired so you slip on the robe to avoid having to change into actual clothes.

It hits you that you have no idea what time it is. The fact that you don't have a phone doesn't help.

You squint at the small radio clock that rested beside the lamp that showcased your bra. "11:36 am." You read.

You walk over to the window and slide the curtains open, temperately blinding yourself. Once your eyes adjust to the light, you look down at the parking lot and see a major difference in cars outside compared to last night.

You try to connect the cars to the owners to see who was still here when you're distracted by Pieck and Porco standing outside his truck, loading bags in.

You rub at your eyes as you try to figure out why they're loading up luggages when it hits you. "Shit!"

You take off running out the door and down the hall, completely ignoring the fact you're in a robe with nothing underneath.

You rush down the stairs almost falling down the entire flight but you make it safely to the bottom floor and out the double doors.

"Hey!" You shout. You bend over, setting your hands on your knees in attempt to catch your breath.

You stand up straight and the two of them look at you and laugh. "Goodmorning." Pieck says.

"You were just gonna leave without saying goodbye?" You ask. Pieck hands Porco a large duffel bag. "Well, you were asleep, I didn't wanna wake you."

Porco grins. "Yeah, we figured you were gonna be passed out trying to recover from last night."

Your eyebrows come together to meet in the middle as you're overcome with confusion. "What are you talking about?"

He laughs. "You got drunk as fuck." You cringe and cover your eyes with your hands. "You're kidding."

"Nope." He continues to load up the bags. "It was pretty entertaining." You shake your head at the ground. "Well, that explains why I don't remember getting to my room last night."

Porco frowns. "You don't remember that Er-" Pieck elbows him with a glare.

"What?" You ask. Pieck shoves him away and he walks back inside to get the last of their stuff.

"So I saw you and Eren made up." Pieck says as she finishes loading the rest of her stuff in the car. You snort. "No, we didn't?"

She knits her brows together. "But I saw you two dance together." You help put one of her bags into the trunk. "Doesn't mean we made up. I was fucking with him."

Pieck sighs deeply. "You're kidding, right? You just had to get revenge like always."

You scrunch up your face angrily. "No shit. Can you blame me?! He deserves it! An eye for a damn eye."

Pieck shakes her head and closes the trunk. "So childish. When are you gonna grow up, y/n?"

"The fuck? Why are you coming at me? He did me dirty first!" You argue.

The brunette crosses her arms over her chest. "Did it even make you feel the slightest bit better?"

"Yeah, it did actually." You say mocking her posture by crossing your arms as well. She rolls her eyes. "Whatever you gotta tell yourself to help you sleep at night but I know damn well you're still sad."

You say nothing. She stabs a long finger at your chest right where your heart is. "Hurting him back isn't gonna fill the void you have right there and you know that."

You slap her hand away. "What fucking void?! I'm fine! I don't need him, I don't need anyone!" You shout. You sounded more like you were trying to convince yourself rather than her.

"How can I put this as nicely as possible?" Pieck begins. She looks up at the clouds as if the answer is up there.

When she looks back at you, her eyes study you carefully as she tries to phrase what she's about to say next wisely.

"You're not easy to love. You're actually probably one of the most difficult people I've ever met." She says.

"Gee, thanks." You respond bitterly. She holds her hand up. "Let me finish."

She takes a deep breath before continuing. "You aren't the nicest or the friendliest. Definitely not the most approachable."

"Can we wrap this up because I'm not liking it." You hiss.

She groans. "What I'm trying to say is you aren't easy to love. It takes a while for people to love you once they get to know you. You have a big heart and you're protective of those you love. I've always admired that about you. You're quick to always have the people you love's back."

She begins to explain further. "I love you, Porco loves you. But that's only because we have known you forever and got to see the real you. And that's also cause I hated you for years."

"Your friends, what are their names again? Sasha and Connie, right? They love you. Your roommate Hitch loves you even though right now you might not be on the best of terms." She goes on.

"Your point?" You say bouncing your leg, growing impatient and frustrated.

She pinches her nose bridge. "My point is that you do have people who love you. But it's a different kind of love when someone wants to put up with you for the rest of their life. Flaws and all, accepting you for all your past, present and future."

Your leg stops bouncing and you find your eyes trailing away. "We love you but it's not the kind of love you are yearning for. We love you but not enough to wake up every morning beside you or sleep next to you ever night. Not enough to spend every single moment with you."

She leans up against the car and stares right into your soul once you meet her dark brown eyes. "But there is someone who is willing to do all that and it's Eren."

You scoff and look away again. "Yeah right." She looks up at the sky again, her eyes following the slow moving clouds. "It's amazing he even lasted this far, if I'm being honest. I give him props for being able to handle you so well."

You snap your head toward her. "Enough with the back handed compliments. I know I'm a lot to deal with, I don't need to hear it. AGAIN."

She chuckles and leans off the car. "Sorry." She steps closer to you and places a hand on your shoulder causing you to tense up. "But take it from someone who has found that person already, you don't wanna lose them."

You look at her and she smiles. "He loves you, y/n. He's young and stupid. He's gonna make mistakes. Yes, he made a big one by not giving you a say in the situation and for taking things too far but he's human. Remember that. You're not perfect either and he accepts you exactly the way you are. He deserves that too."

There's an invisible hand around your throat that restricts you from talking. Her hands slips off your shoulder. "I love you, y/n. It took me years too but I do now. It took Eren just a couple months. Maybe even less and you put him through way worse than you put me through."

You sigh. "So I'm just supposed to just forgive him? Act like he didn't completely rip my heart out of my chest and stomp on it?"

Pieck watches as Porco loads the final things in the truck and turns the vehicle on. "I'm not saying forgive him right away. He shouldn't have hurt you. But he thought was he was doing was the right thing. He had good intentions but horrible execution."

You look down at the floor. "I don't think I can forgive him. I mean, he made fun of my disorder. I trusted him so much with my anxiety, Pieck. He's the only person who can calm me down with a single touch, sometimes even with just a look. It's not gonna be that way anymore. I'm not gonna be able to trust him or see him the same."

Her face melts and you can tell she's genuinely sad. "I know. I hate that he did that. But you know he didn't mean it. Y/n, if he did, he wouldn't have put up with it for so long. He's not the type to deal with all the stuff he went through with you just for some sex. Come on."

You sigh. "I know. But I-" She shushes and places a hand on your cheek. "I know. You don't have to forgive him right now. But I just wanted to remind you that love isn't perfect. It's not the way they make it in the movies. It's a fucking rollercoaster with ups and downs and it flips you upside down and makes you feel like vomiting at some points."

For some reason, you actually find comfort in her hand on your cheek. "Me and Porco may not show it but we fight about stupid shit too. He's hurt my feelings many times and vise versa. When you wanna be with someone forever, you gotta grow along side with them. Watch them make mistakes and learn from them. Watch them become better, stronger people right before your every eyes."

Her eyes twinkle. "It's an incredible feeling to watch the person you love completely flourish in front of you. I watched Porco grow from some teenager in high school who was barely passing with C's and had no motivation to a grown adult who had a full time job, his own house and," She holds up her left hand exposing her wedding ring, "now a wife."

"He isn't perfect in the slightest. In fact, far from it. But the thing is, no one is. We all have our flaws. All have our cons. Our icks. No matter who you choose to date they're gonna annoy you one way or another." Pieck explains.

"You just gotta find the person you don't mind annoying you for the rest of your life." She finishes.

You stay quiet and she smiles. "Eren's face popped into your mind when I said that, didn't it?"

How the fuck...

"How did you.." You start. She giggles and her hands comes off your face. "I know it hurts right now but there's only one thing that can fix it. It's not revenge or a rebound. Not sex, alcohol or drugs. It's just him."

You hate that she's right. As always. It was annoying how it was him. The only thing that could make you feel better.

Even when he broke your heart, all you wanted was a hug from him. He was your comfort. Everytime you felt sad or scared or angry, it would all go away when you saw him.

His touch was even more of a miracle worker. You could be having the worst anxiety attack of your life, full blown panic mode and all he would need to do is hug you or even just hold you hand and the world and your worries would melt away.

Even after everything, he's all you wanted. You were never gonna be satisfied until he was yours again. Until it was back to how it was.

But it wasn't possible. At least you didn't think it was. You couldn't wrap your head around the idea of seeing him the same way now. Trusting him how you used to.

Maybe with time, he'll gain it back. If he really did love you, he wouldn't mind trying his hardest to regain it.

And for some reason, you found yourself not even doubting the fact he would. You could totally see it. He's always been patient with you. So understanding.

Pieck was right. He wouldn't have lasted this long. It's amazing that he even has. You were a hot mess with tons of trauma left to unpack.

Since the first time he's ever hung out with you, the night at the fair, he got a pretty good front row seat at how chaotic dealing with you could be.

Everything after that just adding on. And it was odd how he was always fucking there. Everytime something happened, he was there one way or another.

And he was still with you. After everything. All the drama. All the traumatic ass experiences. He stayed, holding your hand through it all.

Let's not forget the fact that he didn't leave your bedside when you were in a mini coma and how he passed out on sleep and food just because he didn't wanna miss it when you woke up.

Also, the fact he paid your hospital bills with no hesitation and bought you your own personal stuff to keep at his house for whenever you would stay there.

"I love you to death but if you keep acting the way you do, you're gonna end up alone forever." She says finally.

"I'm fine with that." You say bitterly. She sighs and adjusts the strap of her purse on her shoulder. "I just want to be happy and I know he makes you the happiest because I've seen it."

"Did. He did make me happy. Not anymore." You correct. She rolls her eyes. "Keep telling yourself that."

She hugs you and you freeze, internally cringing. You start to squirm to get out of her arms but she hugs you tighter. "See you in two weeks."

She finally lets you go and you shiver causing her to laugh. "Don't get into trouble while I'm gone, alright? I won't be here to pick your dumbass up."

"Yeah, yeah." You say setting your hands on your hips. "Get out of here already."

She walks over to the passenger door and opens it up, stepping one foot in before turning to you. She smiles and slides her sunglasses that rested on the top of her head down to her eyes. "Keep me updated on what happens."

"I don't have a phone, remember?" You shrug. "You're just gonna have to use your imagination until you get back."

She shakes her head and waves goodbye as she closes the door behind her.

The car begins to pull out the parking lot before Porco rolls down the window. "Go back to school for a least a day before you really make up your mind. If you still feel the same, then come back home."

You press your lips together. "Mm." Pieck leans forward so you can see her past Porco's large head. "And at least hear Eren out! Get the full story before you do anything rash."

"You're gonna be late for your plane!" You yell in attempt to get them to stop. They wave goodbye and roll up the window.

And just like that, they're gone.

You stand outside alone now. The weather was a slightly chilly, the wind blowing along your exposed skin causing you to wrap the robe around your body tighter.

"What now?" You ask yourself quietly.

"There you are." You hear your mom's voice as her footsteps approach you. She has her arms crossed and shoulders perked up. "It's cold out here."

You nod and look up at the sky. You could see some dark gray clouds off in the distance. "I think it might rain soon."

Diana looks up at the sky too. "Oh yeah. Lucky Pieck and Porco, they wouldn't have to worry about that in Hawaii. Did they leave already?"

"It can rain in Hawaii too." You state. "And yeah. Just now."

She looks at you as your eyes fixate on the blue-gray sky above you. "Did you decide what you're gonna do after all? Go back to Paradis or say here?"

You ignore her for a moment as you watch the clouds drift slowly and peacefully. You can hear the sound of the leaves in the nearby trees shaking with the cool wind.

You weren't sure what you wanted to do. You really didn't wanna go back for the life of you. To face everyone again.

You don't know the full story of what went down because every time Eren tried to tell you, you shut him out.

And you don't know about the aftermath of everything because you no longer have a phone. So you don't know who reached out and who didn't.

For all you knew you probably had a million hate messages and death threats.

But Porco and Pieck were right. You should at least give it one day. You needed to get your stuff from your dorm anyway so it was inevitable.

The idea of going back made you feel sick to your stomach. Seeing Hitch as you enter your shared dorm.

Facing Sasha and Connie who you had no idea if they hated you now or not.

Facing Mikasa and Armin who managed to get what they wanted after all.

Facing Historia who said all those nasty things to you and having to fight the urge to beat her face in.

Facing Jean who is the reason this all happened and also fighting the urge to murder him.

It was just too overwhelming and you knew you would be suffocated with a variety of emotions all at once.

But it had to be done.

One last time. One last goodbye. One more day to get it all over with for good and never look back.

You sigh and turn to her. "I hope I don't regret this."
