(Y/n)'s POV:

*Static* *Static*

???: "Play ops, Play ops. Pedro 64 climbing up. Heading to Role 3.

TOC: "Pedro 64, copy. Golden hour is still ticking."

Pedro 64: "Copy, Play ops."

It was evening. We're in the HH-60 Pave Hawk, on our way to the Nato hospital Role 3 near Vale. In front of us, there's a critical wounded soldier, who was grasping for his life. He got multiple shrapnels on his left arm and an amputee on right leg. He's really in bad condition. He stepped on an IED which is improvised explosive device that has been used by the White Fang.

"Yang! Grab the IV!" I yelled to her and she nodded. She began to take out the IV, blood pack and fluid from the medical kit and began to hook the blood pack and the fluid pack and inserted the line for the IV.

Yang was one of my teammates in Pedro 64. She was the first among 10 fenale candidates who signed up to join the Pararescue.

She was preparing to insert the needle into the patient's arm. As she inserted it, she couldn't find the right spot and the IV failed to be insert.

Yang: "(Y/n), IV is failed!" Without hesitation, I yelled to Brett, another teammates of my unit.

"Brett! Prep the OI!"

Brett: "Roger!"

IO, a process that send the needle straight to the patient's bone. Its a painful, but a life-saving process. He took out the IO and slowly inserted it. Once the needle has been inserted, he connected the line with the IO. I inspected the patient's condition. Then, he started to choking. I took a closer look into his mouth and saw blood clumped in his airflow. He was choking on his own blood.

"Hey! Blood is collecting in his airflow! We need to clear it!" Yang then grabbed the trachea tube and a manual suction equipment and she attached the tube to the equipment and inserted the tube into his mouth and began to manual pump to suck the blood out. But the blood continued to flood in his airflow. So, I've decided to take the last resort.

"We need to cric him!"

Brett and Yang began to prep the proper equipment for cric. Then, I radioed the pilot.

"John, you got E.T.A to the Role 3?"

John: "10 minutes. We're still in the golden hour."

"Roger!" I then turned my attention back to the patient. Brett begin to position the scapel on the patient's adam's apple and began to slice it, making a hole not large but enough to fit the trachea tube to pump the oxygen to his lung. Blood flowing out from the hole as Yang inserted the tube carefully and once the tube in position, she began to pump the oxygen to his lung.

"Pilot, we can't fly above 1000 feet or otherwise, the patient will having a hard time to breath." I radioed the pilot.

John: "Copy. Notifing the TOC. Play ops , Pedro 64. We will hold our current altitude which is 1000 feet to prevent the patient from losing his oxygen, how copy?"

TOC: "Play ops, copy."

"Yang, keep pumping the oxygen to his lung! Brett, keep your eyes on the blood pack!"

Yang nodded and Brett constantly monitored the blood pack to make sure that the blood still flown into the patient's body. Then, John radioed me.

John: "PJ's, we're approaching the hospital. Standby the patient for transfer."

"Roger. Thanks for the heads up." I then turned my attention back to the patient.

"Hey buddy, we've reached the hospital and we gonna move you into thr ambulance and get to the hospital for more medical treatment, okay?" He nodded and I told Brett to wrap him up.

-At the helipad-

John: "Pedro 64 touching down in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Tail gear down. All down. Ambulance to the right."

The helicopter touched down and I slided the door open and gave a thumb up to the nearby ER personnel to come to the helicopter and transfer the patient to the ambulance. We lifted the stretcher and put him into the ambulance. Me and Yang tagged along while Brett stayed at the chopper and we make our way to the hospital.

-Role 3-

As we reached the hospital, we were greeted by Doctor Eric. I've known him since my first deployment. The patient was transferred from the ambulance into the hospital.

Doctor Eric: "Good evening, (Y/n). So, what do we have here?" He asked me.

"Good evening to you too. So, we have a patient that has multiple shrapnels on his left arm and an amputee. His squad mates had put on the tourniquet but only slowed the blood from flowing out, not stopping it completely. We've been given him an IO and also we had to cric him." He took a moment to process all of the information before taking further action.

Doctor Eric: "Solid information. Anything else?"

"He has been given morphine before we got there but we do not have the actual information on how much dose that he got..."

Doctor Eric: "Allright. Thank you, (Y/n). I appreciate it."

"Most welcome doc. Do whatever is necessary to save his life."

Doctor Eric: "I will, (Y/n). Now go back to your team. Have a nice day." He smiled and then walked away to treat the patient. I walked out from the hospital and gestured Yang to get inside the ambulance and they drove us to the helipad.

Yang: "He's hanging at the edge of his life...."

"Don't worry, Yang. We've done all we could. Now, its up to the doctors to save his life."

Yang: "Yeah.. I pray for him to survive this. Oh by the way, today is your first anniversary with Blake, right?"

"Yeah. I have a little suprise for her when we got back there. Hope that she will like it."

Yang: "Of course she will! It's a gift from you! Definitely she will like it!"

"Yeah. I hope so..."

-At the helipad-

We got out from the ambulance and said thanks to the driver before we walked to our helicopter and boarded it. I gestured to the Chris, one of the door gunner, said that all of us are counted and boarded.

Chris: "Pilot, all boarded and ready to go."

I slided the door closed and the helicopter lift off.

John: "Play ops, this is Pedro 64. Heading back to base."

TOC: "Play ops, copy. Stay safe."

John: "Roger. Lead helicopter climbing up."

Our helicopter gained some altitude and we flew back to base.

-Beacon air base-

Our helicopter landed and John cut off the engine. I slided the door open and we took off our gears and packed our things and cleaned some bloods. Some parts on our outfit were covered in blood.

Yang: "Hey, you got some blood on your face."

"Really? Did I bleed out?" I asked as as I pretended to be shock. Brett let out a small laugh as he washed the blood on the floor where we treated the wounded soldier.

Yang: *chuckles* "No. Here, let me help you." She took some tissues and soaked it with water and cleared the blood on my face. Once she cleared it, she smiled. "There. No more bloods."

"Thanks, Yang." I said and smiled.

???: "So, how's the mission?" We turned out head towards the voice and saw Seth, our Detachment Commander.

"Oh, it went pretty well, although some parts of our clothes were covered in blood."

Seth: "I'm glad that you're safe. Now, go clean up yourself and (Y/n), go meet with your girlfriend. I'm sure that she's waiting for you and her room."

"Yeah, yeah. I will. Just need to clean myself and put a lots of perfumes."

Seth: "That's what I said before" he then chuckled.

After we cleaned up the mess, we took the gears to our room and put it where it was belongs to. It was the end of our shift. So basically, more time with Blake.

-Beacon's Dorm-

Allright, let me tell you a bit. Beacon is a school where it teaches the students either civil or military. Its also an air base. Students can decided what to choose for. I've met with Blake last year. She studied in military but more to public affairs. She was one year old younger than me. We only met during the medical course. From there, we became a lot more closer. So that's where I began to grow feelings on her. So, after went for several dates and bla bla bla, we confessed to each other and bam, we're in relationship.

Anyway, I was heading to Blake's room. She shared the room with 3 other girls, which are Yang, Ruby and Weiss. Those 3 were my best friends. I took out a small box from my pocket. Inside it, contained a diamond necklace with her eyes colour. I smiled as I looked at my small gift. I've reached in front of the door and as I was about to knock it, I heard voices behind it.

???: "Are you sure you want to do this?"

???: "Yes. I can't stand it anymore...."

I recognized the second voice.. it was Blake. But what is she talking about? Can't stand it anymore? I have a bad feelings about this....

???: "But, what about (Y/n)? He's your boyfriend after all..."

Blake: "Him? He doesn't have time for me... He always been on constant deployment. He doesn't care about me...."

Wait, what?! Did she just said that? I've must heard it wrong....

???: "What if he know about this? Our relationship?" My eyes widen when I heard this. She's been cheating on me?!

Blake: "Let's just keep it secret, okay? He will never know about this. If he cares more about his job, then so be it. I have you now. I love you, Sun."

That shattered my heart into million of pieces. I can't believe that she's been cheating on me. After all I gave to her despite my dangerous job, this is what I get? I looked down at my small gift and put it back into my pocket and slowly walked away from there.

???: "Hey, (Y/n)!" I froze. I turned around and saw Yang. I immediately smiled to her, but it was not a happy smile. More to fake smile.

"Hey, Yang...." My smile disappeared after that.

Yang: "Hey, are you okay?" She asked as she concerned about my situation.

I shook my head and pointed my index finger to the room. She was confused for a moment but she realized it after she heard laughing and moaning.

Yang: "(Y/n), breach and clear." She said in serious tone. My eyes widen about this and when I was about to protest it, she kicked the door, revealing an unpleasant view.

"B-Blake? W-What a-are.. Why?!"
