3rd POV:
Chinook pilot: "Viking base, this is Engine 6-4, ETA to zone, 6 mikes out.
TOC: "Copy, Engine 6-4. Update MIST, 10 wounded. 5 are CAT ALPHA."
Chinook pilot: "Copy, Base. Pedro's, do you acknowledge the MIST?"
(Y/n): "Loud and clear, pilot. 10 wounded, 5 CAT ALPHA."
8 minutes more and closing in as the Chinook and two Apaches flew towards the extraction zone. (Y/n) and Yang were busy preparing the medical equipment with the help from two medics from the Green Berets. As they approaching the zone, smokes could be seen from the distance.
Chinook pilot: "That's hell down there. I hope that they're still alive..."
Chinook co-pilot: "I hope so."
Chinook pilot: "Hunter 2-1, do you have any visual on the zone?" He radioed one of the attack helicopter pilot.
Apache 1: "I see one group at the opening. There are few covers like rocks and trees. But it's a good location for landing."
Chinook pilot: "Copy. I'll contact the ground force." He then switched the channel. "Viking 0-1, this is Engine 6-4. Do you copy, over?" There was a statics for a while. "Viking 0-1, do you copy, over?"
Viking 0-1: "Engine 6-4, I read you loud and clear!" Gunshots and explosion could be heard on the background. "We've sustained heavy casualties and need immediate evac! What is your ETA?!"
Chinook pilot: "ETA 3 minutes. Mark your location. Hang in tight!"
Viking 0-1: "Roger! Marking our location with green smoke!"
Just then, a green smoke appeared in their sight.
Chinook pilot: "I see your location. Going in hot!"
Apache 1: "We'll provide support during your descend and ascend."
Chinook pilot: "Copy, Hunter 0-1." With that, two Apaches increased their speeds and flew towards the battlefield. As they communicated with the ground force, they acquired the enemy's position. Without wasting the time, the weapons specialist of the Apache flicked on few switches. The Apaches flew very closed to the ground and launched its 70mm hydra rockets towards the enemy, resulting a heavy casualties on the enemy's side. Then, one of the Apache climbed untill 150 feet from the ground and hovered before unleashing its 30mm chain gun. With the Apaches support, the Chinook then went to land. As the wheels touched the ground, the ramp was lowered and the Green Berets along with (Y/n) and Yang rushed out and went to rescue the attacking force that was now pleading to be rescued.
(Y/n): "Yang and you, secure the CAT ALPHA!" He pointed towards her and the medics. They nodded and went to provide immediate medical assistance. He then turned his attention towards the other medic. "You, with me. We'll treat the wounded that is not critical and ordered them to get their asses to the Chinook."
Medic: "On your six, sir." (Y/n) nodded and went to the front. They made their way to the wounded under the gunfight and treated the wounded.
(Y/n): "Bring him to the chopper now!" He ordered the troops around the wounded. Then, they moved to the next wounded. And they repeated the process until the front was cleared from the wounded.
Apache 1: "Pedro. Be advised, we've detected a large group of hostiles coming to your position. I suggested you move quickly now."
(Y/n): "Copy, Hunter 0-1! We're securing the critically wounded. Can you hold them for a few moments?" He asked the pilot.
Apache 1: "I can't promise you but I'll try. We're running low on ammunitions right now."
(Y/n): "Copy! We'll move as fast as we can!" He then gestured the medic to move to the chopper. But as the medic ran at the opening, he was shot at his left thigh by a sniper. The medic was screaming in pain as he held his left thigh. "Shit! Hang in there!" He then braved himself and ran into the opening to save the medic. He lowered his body and when he reached the medic, he grabbed him by his plate carrier and dragged him behind a tree. He then began to apply treatment on the medic's thigh. "You're gonna be fine! The bullet missed the main artery. He said as he finished putting on the tourniquet. Then, he reached for his radio.
(Y/n): "Yang, this is (Y/n)! I have an injured medic with me and I need covering fire now!"
---------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Yang and other medic were busy preparing the critically wounded soldiers for immediate surgeries until her comms blared.
(Y/n): "Yang, this is (Y/n)! I have an injured medic with me and I need covering fire now!"
Yang: "(Y/n)?! Where are you?!" She looked around for him and eventually found him with the injured medic at her 4'o clock. "Allright, I see you! Hang in there!" She then grabbed her rifle and ordered several troops that was equipped with MK 48 and moved to a better position for suppressing fire. Once they're in position, they saw incoming White Fang from the forest near (Y/n)'s position.
Yang: "Suppressive fire on the enemy! Fire at will!" She said and shot her rifle, followed by the troops. Some of her bullets knocked down the enemies. (Y/n) who saw this opportunity, immediately took it and carried the medic to the chopper. He unholstered his pistol with his right hand and fire blindly towards the enemy. Once he reached them, the troops took the injured medic from him and brought him to the chopper. (Y/n) took a few moments to collect his breaths before get into crouching position and started to shoot his rifle at the incoming enemies. Then, the comms blared.
Chinook pilot: "All troops, get into the chopper now!" The troops near the chinook's position boarded the helicopter first with the wounded leaving Yang's small team and (Y/n).
Yang: "Troops, fall back towards the chopper now!" She ordered the remaining troops as she continued to shoot her rifle. The sound of the MK 48 disappeared as the troops rushed to the helicopter. "(Y/n), let's go!" She then fall back a couple feet before stopped to give (Y/n) a fire support. (Y/n) then rushed towards her position and do the same as Yang and they continued to fire. The helicopter was just a few meters from them.
Chinook pilot: "Engine 6-4 is taking fire! Rear engine took a direct hit and losing a bit of power!"
The pilot's words caught (Y/n)'s attention. He knew that if he and Yang boarded the helicopter, it will be too heavy for it to take off. He knew that if he and Yang stayed, the back up helicopter couldn't make it on time.
(Y/n): "Well, that's my cue....." He thought to himself. He was prepared to make this decision that would saved them.
(Y/n): "Yang! Go to the chopper first!"
Yang: "What?!" She shouted as the bullets continued to whizzing past them.
(Y/n): "Trust me, Yang! Go first!" He then approached her. "I'll be right behind you!" He said and smiled. Yang glanced at him. She then reluctantly nodded and started to fall back to the helicopter. Unbeknownst to her, (Y/n) managed to slip something into her pouch.
(Y/n): "This is a good bye, Yang..." He muttered before continued to shoot at the enemy. One by one, the enemy died due to his bullet. When his rifle clicked, he put in a new magazine and continued to fire.
Yang: "(Y/n)! Get your ass to the helicopter now!"
(Y/n) then looked over his shoulder. He took a final look on the helicopter and Yang before make the call. He then switched the channel.
(Y/n): "Hey door gunner! Can you do me a favour?"
Door gunner: "What is it?"
(Y/n): "Drag Yang into the chopper and hold her until the helicopter lifted off. Don't ask me why..."
There was a few moments of silence in the comms.
Door gunner: "Roger...." (Y/n) could her his voice became sorrow.
(Y/n): "Thanks a lot...."
---------------------------------------------------------
Yang's POV:
"What the hell is he doing now?!" I shouted as I kept looking at him. He didn't fall back yet. He just kept shooting towards the enemy. Suddenly, I felt someone grabbed me from behind and started to drag me into the chinook.
"H-Hey! What the hell?!" I took a glanced and it was the door gunner who dragged me. Once I'm in the chinook, I could feel the chinook began to increase its power. Then, I realized what was happened.
"No.. No! Let me go! He's still down there!" I struggled to break free from his grasp. But his arms wrapped around my stomach and it became more tighten. "What the fuck are you doing?! (Y/n) is still out there!"
Door gunner: "His order...." He said in sorrow.
"What do you mean by his order?!"
Just then, the helicopter took off. My eyes widen and tears began to form on my eyes. I began to struggle more aggressively. There's no way I'm letting him died down there. But, the more I struggled, the more troops began to restrain me. "LAND THIS FUCKING CHOPPER NOW! (Y/N) IS STILL DOWN THERE!" I shouted. Then, my comms blared.
???: "Yang, come in!" I immediately recognized the voice. I managed to slip my hand from their grasp and grabbed my comms
"(Y/n)?! What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted through the comms.
(Y/n): "Easy, Yang. This is my decision. And there's no way I'm getting back."
The gunshots could be heard on the background. My body then weaken as I slowly stopped from struggling.
"But why..... Why did you have to do this..." I asked as my voice shaken and I tried my best to hold my tears.
(Y/n): "Like I said, Yang. My time has come. And this is what I'm going to do. It's not about the people who died, Yang.... It's about the people who we saved."
"Then what about the heart of the person who's waiting for you at the base?" I retorted. There was a silence before he continued.
(Y/n): "She can find a better person than me..... Just tell her that I love her-ARRRGHHHHH!" He suddenly screamed.
"(Y/N)?! (Y/N), COME IN!"
(Y/n): "Just keep moving forward, Yang.... And... Remember what... I said.. before... Tell Blake... That I'm sorry.. for not getting back safely.... Tell the Pedro's that they're the best family I've ever... Had.... Yang... You're like my own sister.... Thank you for everything, Yang... Thank you very much..."
He was breathing heavily. I didn't said any words. I fell to my knees and started to cry. The atmosphere in the chinook become gloomy since they could heard the comms.
(Y/n): "Tell Brett to take care of Blake for me.. This is my final good bye to you.... I'll see you on the other side. (Y/n) out." Then, the comms went statics.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n), come in?" I radioed him but only statics. "No... No.... *Sobs* (Y/n).... *Sobs*" I kept crying and crying. The door gunner then side hug me and rubbed my arm trying to calm me. I managed to mutter a words between my sobbing.
"Good bye.. *sobs* (Y/n)...."

-On the ground-
(Y/n)'s POV:
After I cut the comms, I began to shoot my rifle. I've got hit by the enemy on my shoulder and my hand. Luckily, it was not my finger. I kept firing and firing until I've come to my last magazine for my rifle.
"When a soldier wounded in the battlefield,"
I put in my last magazine into my rifle and cocked it.
"They need their saviour,"
I aimed my rifle towards the enemy.
"But, when the saviour is injured,"
I squeezed the trigger and sent the bullet straight to the enemy's head.
"He has to protect himself."
One by one, I took them down. But the enemy kept coming. Then, I felt a sharp pain on my left abdomen. I fell on my knee because of the pain. But I kept firing. When my rifle clicked, I took out my pistol and continued to fire. But a bullet managed to hit my right arm. I gritted my teeth as I used my left hand and put the pressure on the wound.
"When I died, buried me with my rifle,"
A hand grenade blew off behind me. The shockwave from the grenade sent me fell forward to the ground. I slowly get back to crouching position and shot back. The enemies began to surround me.
"So I can continue my work on the other side, either it's hell, or heaven."
My vision began to blur as I lost a lots of my blood. My hand began to shaken and I can't aimed at the enemy perfectly. Then, I felt multiple sharp pain at my back. My body began to feel cold.. I couldn't held my pistol longer. I tried to stand up but instead, fell to my knees.
"These... Things.... I do... So... That others... May... Live..."
I managed to mutter the PJ's motto, before I began to grasping for air. Blood dripped from my mouth. I slowly lifted my head and saw the beautiful mountains. Shamed that it was my last thing that I saw before my vision became black and the surroundings became silent.
(The position of you when you died. Ignore the scenery)

-TOC-
3rd POV:
The whole room was in complete silence. Only a few chatters from the communication. They didn't expected something like this to happen. Seth who was sitting on a chair had his face buried on his hands. He doesn't believe that (Y/n) made such a decision.
Brett was speechless when he listened to (Y/n)'s last word before the comms went off. He had a crush on Blake but didn't expected that (Y/n) knew about this. Tears slowly formed on his eyes.
Brett: "If... You let me in, I will stay and fight by your side... But now, I know why you didn't let me in... You will be never forgotten. Thank you, brother..." He muttered and he let his tears flown.
All of the Pedro's were in complete shocked. They had been in good and bad situations together. And when one of them gone, it was a devastating moment. (Y/n) that they knew, will never be with them anymore.
But someone was still waiting for him. Blake. She was waiting at a cafe which wad located near the airfield. Once she saw the chinook, she will definitely rushed to meet him. As she waits, she stared at a picture on her phone. A picture of her first date with (Y/n). She smiled to herself as she thought about him confessed to her.
Blake: "I'll be waiting for you, (Y/n).."
Unbeknownst to her, (Y/n) was gone. Killed in action when he decided to stay behind and fight till his last breath.
