(8) SIBLINGS, SIDE BY SIDE

Togetherness doesn't necessarily means as closeness. Even a person is in front of us then also fall down of situations sometimes creates their own frame of distance in between us. This situation had been continuing in between Kanha and Subhadra since few months prior to the start of Rajsuya yagya in Indraprastha.

Kanha went nearer to Subhadra. A sad smile was lingered to his lips with the thought that distance in between them took a bit much time finding the way back to dearness.

"Gudiya! Are you fine?" He called her softly.

"Won't you share your bothering with me?" After getting no words from her he questioned her again.

"I don't wish so. If you can then make me share my bothering with you," She made some space on the bench for him to sit.

"Are you giving me a chance or challenge?" He smirked playfully after sitting beside her.

"Both. Chance to make me convince for sharing, and challenge to calm the chaos inside me after convincing me," She replied changing his smirk into an ecstatic smile.

"You are so eager to be convinced by me, aren't you?" He initiated his favourite game which was none other than banter.

"Why do you feel so?" She asked.

"Because you mentioned to convince you twice," He chuckled drawing a frown over her face.

"I won't drag the banter to entertain you. It's good to sit silently," She chose not to go along with his intention of a prolonged banter.

"That's what I wanted. I have a lot to say, and your silence is pretty necessary for this," He told playfully only to be ignored by her.

"The factor of distance in between us prior to Rajsuya yagya, our less interaction wasn't my ignorance towards you. It was just an insistence inculcate into situation. Getting more indulged with Draupadi at that time was my preference not a mean to cause you any kind of pain," He took her hands into his.

"After your arrival here I thought to spare you some space before approaching you. That was why we are talking about this matter now, not immediately after your arrival," She was listening him attentively, but his affectionate words couldn't earn any desired response from her.

"I know whatever you told yet I am not convinced," She turned her face slightly in disappointment.

"But why? I confessed everything," His childish tone was compelling her to smile.

"Not everything yet, Bhrathashri!" Controlling herself she turned towards him again.

"I missed you so very much in these days. More than our less interaction dau used to make me miss you more. When dau used to praise your care during our stay in Indraprastha I had to plaster a fake smile over my face as I was deprived of that," His sadness spread in surrounding causing a short time of silence in all the activities of nature.

"When dau used to express his happiness of pampering you, spending time with you during Rajsuya yagya I had no option except listening him as I didn't have anything to share as such. If I narrate my plight then you will break down into tears. So, now are you convinced?" Her control slipped over his cute dramatic expression.

"I prefer to be convinced rather than breaking down," She chuckled.

He took her into embrace caressing her hairs affectionately. She too reciprocated the most awaited bliss, his care.

"So, now am I allowed to calm down the chaos inside you?" He patted her head making her almost lost in his pamper.

"You have to, Bhrathashri. If you don't then who else will do this? Why am I getting such visions, that war field, and arya being bewildered there?" Composing herself she asked finally.

"Are you sure that those aren't nightmares?" He wished to add her wise words to worth their time multiple folds. That was his intention behind this question.

"Each unusual appearance can't be nightmare till the time we don't get scared by that. The concept of nightmare is nothing more than a nuisance nourished by our own nervousness," Her serene reply reasoned a satisfactory smile over his face.

"I am happy that you have a clear understanding about your experience. That battle field not only belongs to Parth but also to you too. You have a prominent role in that battle field without which the pace of future can't proceed further," Lifting her head in his embrace she looked at his face to figure out the meaning of his mysterious words which wasn't easy at first attempt mostly.

Subhadra was Yogmaya, and her assistance was inevitable to inspire the future amidst the destruction of war which was about to take place.

"We got our time after so long. We should cherish this, Gudiya. Let's sail towards the time when we siblings were carefree," He urged before she could put effort to understand his words.

She nodded at him with a happy smile surrendering herself to his soothing touch.
