(4) CARED

The feeling of content express an efficient wrap up. Even tiredness worths to be cherished after that kind of wrap up. Convincing Shrutakarma to enjoy his birthday genuinely was no less than a tough task. Shrutakarma and his brothers had left the hope of any normal day in their lives after departure of their parents. They had expected the wait of meeting their parents to be their life, but Subhadra inculcated the zeal of looking into the various perspectives of life among them again.

Subhadra was staring at night sky sitting on her bed.

"Gudiya, you are still awake!" Satyabhama's voice got responded with a calm smile of Subhadra.

"Are you even getting sound sleep or not?" Jambavati who came along with Satyabhama walked some steps towards Subhadra.

"Don't worry, Bhabhi. I am practicing a balanced life style. So, I sleep in time, and do complete a required time of sleep," Subhadra answered.

"We were about to check on you, but....," Jambavati's affectionate heart couldn't afford to utter the bitter truth of her lovely sister in law's life.

"But thought to give you some space to be settled on your own," Satyabhama came forward to assist Jambavati's incomplete sentence.

"You all are so understanding, Bhabhi. I needed some space as I was stumbling to accept the truth that Arya and me have to cross a long path for our reunion," Subhadra's calm smile faded showing her calmness as a blank one.

"Missing him, right?" Jambavati caressed her hairs with motherly affection.

"No, just waiting him to come back," Subhadra leaned herself into Jambavati's side hug for paying respect to her feelings.

"But we will miss our late night talks, because your balanced lifestyle won't allow that anymore," Satyabhama attempted to both the ladies smile, and it get succeed too.

"We should leave now, Gudiya. Your sleep shouldn't be delayed," Jambavati gestured Satyabhama to follow her.

Subhadra conveyed her gratitude of getting such a caring family to almighty looking at the fading figure of her sisters in law.

She laid herself on bed to welcome sleep into her eyes. Shrutakarma's complement was on her mind as the best memory of that day. Not only he everyone used to praise Subhadra's convincing nature unlike Kanha. As the complement of Shrutakarma was linked with the great siblings' bonding that had its own impact on Subhadra's mind.

After sleep of few hours she saw the same place like she did last night, but on that vast battle field there was only one warrior. She was stressing her subconscious mind to see him clearly.

To her surprise it was none other Arjun. She recognised him though his image was blur to her vision. After all he's her soulmate. She was looking at him keenly. He had placed his bow on ground, and was sitting like a hopeless traveller who lost his destination to darkness.

His anxiety reciprocated by her, and rushed to her nerves in no time to express itself in her gestures. While going through anxiety she felt a pair of delicate palm was caressing her forehead.

She opened her eyes to see her three year old son, Abhimanyu. A wondered look over his presence replaced her anxiety.

"Abhi, why didn't you sleep till now? It's late midnight," She picked him up to her lap.

"I was sleeping, Maa. I felt like to check on you. So, came here," He replied.

"Why did you feel so?" She checked his wellbeing with her affectionate caress

"I don't know, but you aren't seeming well," He splashed a concerned look towards her.

"Am I looking this much bad after waking up from sleep?" She checked her hairs and attire in a playful way to divert his concern.

"Don't be childish, Maa. I was referring about the worry lines over your forehead while sleeping," The first line reminded her of Arjun. He used to say that mostly.

"That's nothing, Abhi. I was stuck somewhere," She told him the truth in a twisted way which was incomprehensible for him, obviously.

"Your have a huge bed. Despite that you get stuck while sleeping. That was why pitashri used to tell me that you need much space on bed in comparison to both of us," He giggled earning a soft kiss from his mother.

They three used to share one bed. Arjun tricked Abhimanyu to give much space to Subhadra so that the space in between them will be lessened, and he can get hold of her anytime he wish while sleeping. She knew his intention. She joined the melody of giggle of his son remembering Arjun's mischievous glint which was no less adorable than his loving expression.

"Now you should sleep," She laid him on bed, at which he raised his one eyebrow.

"Ok, we should sleep," Correcting her sentence she too laid beside him.

She would have spent the rest of the night thinking about the dream she saw if Abhimanyu's vigilant stares weren't over her. Assuring him she closed her eyes.

There was another insistence behind her sleep which was arrival of a guest whom she had to attend tomorrow.
