(3) CONNECTED

Unexpected turns of lives not only affects the obviousness of lives but also our views to see through the obstacles. Subhadra who tried to create opportunity through obstacle was waiting to get a clue to overcome her current obstacle, to get the way towards her changed life style.

She was leading a simple life, avoiding the royal facilities of Dwarka as much as possible. Taking a step ahead she decided to make her routine balanced inch by inch with balanced diet, balanced sleep, even balanced flow of emotions too.

She exchanged some unheard words with herself imagining the efforts she needed to put into to be acquainted with balanced flow emotions.

For executing the decision of balanced life style from that time itself she went to sleep as night was about to knock into its late hours.

Subhadra accessed into a peaceful sleep  as soon as she placed herself on bed. After sometimes her a blur view started to appear in her subconscious mind.

A vast land unlike ocean captured her subconscious attention. That land was covered with warriors on chariots, horses and elephants and pedestrian soldiers from two opposite sides. The gap in between both sides was the thin line of fate which had prevented the massive destruction to take place.

That was the largest war field anyone had ever seen in that era.

Subhadra's subconscious mind was wondering over the arrangement of destiny to quench its thirst cruelty, with agonized screams more than the silence after deaths.

Anxiety was racing in her heart beats. Sweat beads were dripping down her neck making her uncomfortable. Finally she woke up to rescue herself from that weird dream.

"I have to be prepared for his special day," She spoke when her stares shifted to the eastern sky which had orange hues of dawn.

"Happy birthday, Karma!" She whispered.

It was birthday of Shrutakarma, son of Arjun and Draupadi. He was the youngest one after Abhimanyu. After birth of Abhimanyu he was too happy, but a change interrupted that happiness eventually. The change was losing the attention of being the youngest one.

After birth of younger siblings elder ones usually feel lack attention towards them which is just a necessity of the nourishment towards younger ones. Losing your place to someone is always unpleasant no matter who the person is to get your place. That was the matter in case of Shrutakarma though he loved Abhimanyu heartily.

"I will try to decorate your day with your smile," With a calm smile she stood up to start her day.

After getting ready she went to wish Shrutakarma who was sitting quietly in the practice arena. He came there earlier than others, maybe to avoid everyone. The two persons whose wishes would have made his day weren't with him. They were none other than his parents.

"They deserved to be cherished in your memories, Karma!" Subhadra said as she was aware of his sadness.

"I was trying, Choti maa, but it turned out something different," He stood up to greet her.

"This outcome isn't desirable on your special day. Let's get which is desirable one, your smile," She smiled slightly making an initiation towards his smile.

"I don't want to celebrate, Choti maa!" Sensing her indication he replied.

"Even I am not saying you to celebrate. Birth of each life on this earth is no less than a miracle. I just wish you to appreciate that miraculous grace of Almighty," He couldn't resist himself from smiling after listening her.

"Mata used to say you are the best in convincing smartly. Today I experienced her words," He bent down, and touched her feet.

"Happy birthday, Karma!" Picking him up she caressed his hairs.

One by one his brothers entered into the arena, and wished him followed by the elders of royal family. Wrapping up practice Shrutakarma along with her brothers went on outing. Subhadra had gifted a locket of red and white gem stone to Shrutakarma which was symbolising his parents. He was quite happy after getting that.

Subhadra had decorated the common chamber of brothers using red and white coloured stuff. After returning to palace brothers were amused over the changed appearance of their chamber.

"Thank you, Choti maa. You made me feel pitashri and mata around me," Shrutakarma hugged Subhadra around waist.

"They are always around you. I just took an attempt to express that," She patted his head affectionately.

In evening Subhadra told the story of Arjun and Draupadi on urging of Shrutakarma. Not their love story but their story of being admirable personalities among mass.

She was feeling so connected with the words of Shrutakarma when he complemented her about her convincing nature. Little did she know that complement was going to pave her way towards the destination she needed to reach at.
