(25) A NIGHT IN KURUKSHETRA

Arjun's arrival had approached with a happy note for everyone. It was a new alliance in Pandav family. He had fixed Abhimanyu's marriage with Uttara, the princess of Virat before his arrival at Dwarka. The news had brought great delight in family after Arjun disclosed it to everyone.

Arjun along with Kanha, Subhadra, Abhimanyu and with his brothers left for Virat. Subhadra met rest of the family there, and their wounds of dice game was healed to much extent. A happy reunion made the scenario the most splendid one.

Uttara was a beautiful girl with sweet nature. Subhadra started to love her instantly so as Abhimanyu. The rituals of marriage was going on with the fullest grip of enthusiasm on everyone.

Kanha had announced that marriage was going to play a vital role in the history of Kuru clan. Everyone had thought he mentioned the marriage, because that was the first marriage of new generation, but none could sense the hidden seriousness of his voice amidst the joyful sounds of marriage.

The marriage accomplished acquiring the hope and happiness of future in itself.

After the marriage Pandav brothers thought to ask their kingdom back from Dhritarashtr as they had completed their exile, successfully. Kingdom was never easy to get back after losing it once either in war or in dice game. Duryodhan denied to return Indraprastha to Yudhishthir in excuse of the condition of incognito was violated by him.

Even if their incognito had fulfilled according to Duryodhan then also he would have some other excuse for not returning their kingdom to them.

Each well wisher of Hastinapur tried to convince Duryodhan, but he didn't pay heed to any advice of his wellbeing. He had the craziness of destroying Pandav brothers, but the fool couldn't consider the real meaning of destruction was equivalent to both sides.

Pandav brothers could have happily sacrifice their rights for rescuing Aryavrat from the biggest bloodshed of the era, but their sacrifice could haven't brought anything bright for future. So, they had decided to fight for restoring righteousness in Aryavrat.

When each attempt of convincing Duryodhan failed, Kanha had gone to Hastinapur as messenger, but the bad tempered Duryodhan didn't listen him also.

Finally both the sides proceeded towards Kurukshetra, the place chosen by destine for ultimate destruction. Camps were made, rules of war had been decided in presence of commanders of both sides along with prominent warriors.

It was the night before first day of war which had snatched sleep from each eyes.

Kanha and Subhadra had slipped away from everyone's sight for a stroll on Subhadra's insistence.

"Why did you urge for stroll, Gudiya?" He smiled at her who was holding his finger like she used to do in childhood.

"For making some good memories before war," she was following him at a slower pace to relive the fact in each moment that she was fortunate enough to be his anuja, Krishnanuja.

"In this case you should have asked Parth for a stroll, right?" He threw a playful glance at her which pleased her grabbing her in its soothing embrace.

"Yes, I could, but I had to thank you, and I loved to keep every small and single thing as a secret in between you and me. That was why I asked you to accompany me," she repeated the fact which he had known already.

"I knew this choice of yours, Gudiya. Even I too love the bonding of secrecy in between us. By the way why do you want to thank me?" He loved to hear her, her long explanation, and at that time he made a perfect excuse for listening a long explanation from her.

"For being charioteer of arya. I knew he had chosen you over army of Dwarka, but a wife should fulfill her duty as a charioteer of her husband leading his chariot of life efficiently. In this case I am unable to fulfill my duty. You had been told that we siblings were one. So, I am relieved to much extent that I would be with him during war through your presence," her grip on his finger softened in gratitude.

"You are going to lead Parth's chariot in this war along with me," his statement surprised her to no end. His face wasn't showing any sign of cracking joke, but she couldn't consider his words seriously at first place.

"But it's you only, Bhratashri!" She countered, humbly.

"No, it's we, Gudiya. No work of mine gets successful without my Yogmaya. Madhusudan always need his maya," her mention as Yogmaya from his mouth brought goosebumps to her at that moment. He mentioned her as his Yogmaya very often, but the sensation of this time was different.

"If Parth gets confused at battle field, and loses his way to the woes inside then maya along with Madhusudan will make way out for him. We will mend his way for betterment," being mesmerised she was looking at him and was listening him. The illusionary enchantress of Narayan was enchanted by him.

"Yes, we will," she declared in trance. That was what he needed from her, her assurance, her acceptance.

Maya along with Madhusudan was ready for manifestation of the invisible yet invincible monument of human history which was Bhagvat Geeta itself, for which Arjun had been chosen as a medium.
