(17) A SPECIAL SUNRISE
Each story starts with a source of light, because the pages of story need shine to fall on its script for enlightening the world about its existence. That's why not only the day but also the sun rise of the day is special which belongs to a special occasion.
Subhadra was cherishing a special sun rise on a fine day, sitting alone in her chamber. She was minutely observing each moment of Sun as if Sun God was about to convey some message to her on that historic day.
That was the day when Yudhishthir coronated as the king of Indraprastha. That day the struggle of Pandav brothers got the very foundation for their future.
She couldn't resist the reflection of a flashback on the mirror of mesmerizing sun rays.
Flashback:
After her marriage that was the first time when Indraprastha was grandly decorated embracing each atom of delight from each corner of its territory. That day Indraprastha got a king like Yudhishthir who was epitome of bravery, wiseness and generosity.
Arjun was so happy on that day.
"Arya, you have wrapped up practice a little sooner, right? Then you should check the preparations of this special day, shouldn't you?" Holding pleasant surprise in eyes and plate of veneration in hand Subhadra went nearer Arjun who was standing at balcony.
"Not only this day but also the sun rise of this day is special, Subhi. I am cherishing the most awaited sun rise of our life," he smiled at her with the special shade of his charm.
"I haven't ever seen you staring at sun like this," raising her hand she fed him prasaad (holy offering).
"Today's sun rise has the glimpse of fulfillment our pitashri's dream. He wished to provide better future to all the subjects of Aryavrat being their emperor, but the short span of his life didn't allow him to do so," he went back to the days when his father used to inspire him and his brothers to serve the subjects of Aryavrat.
"We brothers including jyeshth never have wished throne for ruling over subjects. The motive was shouldering the responsibility of our pitashri's dream. Even matashri had contributed her heart and soul for making us reach and stand at this point," remembering the days of wait and struggle he became emotional.
"A mother's struggle never goes in vein. Pitashri's dream will surely be fulfilled," she placed her delicate palms on his shoulder to soothe the pace of his emotions.
"The day when we brothers fulfill pitashri's dream will be the best day of our life," taking off her hand from his shoulder he held that close to his heart.
"That best day will come soon as all of you have been giving your best to bring that day," smiling in confidence she made him smile back.
Flashback ended
"Choti maa!" A known voice called Subhadra. Turning back she found Prativindhya and his brothers were standing together.
"You shouldn't be sad in our presence. At least this most handsome son of yours deserves a smile from you," Shatanik mirrored a playful expression like his father Nakul to make Subhash smile.
"I am not at all sad, and all of you deserve to be surrounded by smiles," she went nearer brothers with warm smile.
"Why your face seeming blank a few times ago? Is anyone's words about our family troubling you, Choti maa?" Sutsom got instantly concerned for Subhadra just like his father Bheem used to be for any of the family member.
"Don't mind his question, Choti maa. He just asked about the thought of this day from you," Prativindhya didn't wish to make Subhadra worried sharing the fact that his brothers were downhearted due to the comments of a few people.
Even though the royal administration of Dwarka was efficient enough to prevent evilness on its land yet emotions of people can't be prevented from judging anyone.
"I am not unaware of the fact that all of you are going through the various of judgements of people," an assuring look from Subhadra calmed Prativindhya down.
"Here everyone loves us like family, Choti maa. In front of the pristine love of this family we don't mind a few people judging our family only on the basis of dice game," Prativindhya expressed his thought which was equally shared by his brothers.
"I am proud of you, Prativindhya. You are the sheer reflection of jyeshth's patience and wisdom," Subhadra caressed Prativindhya's cheek lovingly.
"Will our family be misunderstood in the pages of history?" Shrutakarma had the trait of sensitivity from his father Arjun who could never tolerate any one's sadness.
"There's no human without flaws, Karma. When Lord Shri Ram had gone behind golden skinned deer that reasoned the great cause of Raavan's destruction. Each historical mistake has a historical importance. All of you have to contribute towards the historical importance which is waiting for all of yours contribution," the glow of serene boldness on Subhadra's face transformed to brothers.
"We won't disappoint you and our family," Shrutsan promised, and his brothers too assured the same to Subhadra through eyes.
"Join your practice before Abhimanyu can ask anything about all of yours delay," the young boy was practicing for being like his father without knowing the reality of his separation from his father.
Nodding at Subhadra all of them left from there.
The center of attention of the special day was sitting at a lone place silently. Of course, he was none other than Yudhishthir. On this day he was pledged to protect his nation, his subjects at the cost of each possession of his life, but he ended up placing that pledge down on the board of dice game.
After losing his kingdom he staked everything he had even his relationships to win back his kingdom from Duryodhan's clutches. If he had won for once then the scenario of this day would have been something different.
"You have regretted enough, Arya. Now it's time to rise up," Yudhishthir was astonished to hear Draupadi's voice,
"Arya, am I audible to you?" Draupadi increased the pitch of her voice slightly.
"I am sorry for making you wait for answer, Panchali!" Yudhishthir apologized only as he wasn't prepared to reciprocate Draupadi's unexpected presence.
"Today doesn't belong to you only. I was also coronated as queen of Indraprastha on this day. I want us to rise again, together, and I will wait for your answer and your actual self," conveying her message Draupadi left from there as she didn't wish to make Yudhishthir awkward anymore.
Finally that day initiated the way of reconciliation in between emperor and empress planting the hope of establishment of dharma once more.
