(15) THE NEXT

Selfless service is the best duty, and this duty shall not be ignored no matter how much determined we are for a prime target in a particular time of life. Prime target for a particular time has its own priority. Selfless service never crosses the route of any kind of target, because selflessness neither has link or load accompanied by itself.

Everything was settled well which Subhadra was supposed to do. Abhimanyu along with his brothers had caught a harmonious flow in training. Brothers were living a normal life which they deserved, which each child of their age deserved.

Subhadra had nothing much to do except encouraging brothers to do better, and to be better. On a fine day Subhadra's sisters in law visited her with an offer for engaging her in something she would love to do.

"Gudiya, it's a time for change," Revati came forward to start the conversation.

"What should I change, Bhahi maa?" Subhadra smiled at her affectionate sister in law.

"Nothing much, just a small change in your routine," Rukmini corrected Subhadra's well fixed veil.

Actually Rukmini loved to give perfect touch to everything adored by Kanha, and Subhadra was one among the most cherished ones for Kanha.

"Abhimanyu and his brothers are dedicated well to their training. So, you must have free time nowadays, and we don't want you to be sad in that time," Kalindi's eyes beamed with concern.

"You are a strong woman yet concern of family can never be decreased by any fact," Lakshmana explained Kalindi's statement.

"You don't need to explain, Bhabhi. I can never misunderstand your concern," Subhadra was thanking the Almighty for having such sisters in law who were no less than mothers to her, not only according to relationship but also in their actions.

"We have an offer for you. We want you to join us in administering internal affairs department like you used to do before marriage," Mitravinda revealed confidently as she was sure to get Subhadra's consent.

"I will join all of you, but on one condition," Subhadra had decided the prospective of her performance.

"What's that, Gudiya?" Bhadra asked.

"Even though I will be involved in decision making process I won't take any decision. I will only suggest," Subhadra shared whatever she had in her heart.

"Why so, dear? Internal affairs of palace had got recognition because of you. You have the right of taking decision even now too," Jambvanti voiced out worries on behalf of her sisters.

"You are hesitating as you are married now, right? Marriage connects a girl with a new family, but doesn't cut her connection with her maternal home," Satyabhama caught the reason which would be considered so obvious in that situation.

"Moreover for protesting wrong one doesn't need any right. That person just need to raise voice," Bhadra too joined her sister in convincing.

"I know, but I trust that my sisters in law can never do anything wrong. I just want to assist all of you. Let my assistance administer all of yours hearts. I will be the happiest with this," as usual Subhadra succeeded to earn smiles of acceptance from everyone over her decision.

"As your wish, Gudiya. You are still the same serene and selfless girl even after facing struggles of life. We are really proud of you," cupping Subhadra's cheeks Revati planted an affectionate peck on her forehead while other queens were admiring the duo.

The attempt of restoring normalcy wasn't carried on by Subhadra only. Arjun was even trying to heal the cracked bonds of relationship to get back normalcy. Draupadi had come out of trauma, and she was getting comfortable with her husbands.

The trials of cheering her up by her husbands was reciprocated by her heartily, but Yudhishthir was the one who had kept himself away from all these. He hadn't even talked with her much untill it was necessary.

Draupadi might have mistaken Yudhishthir's silence, but Yudhishthir was so immersed in his guilt to consider this possibility.

Bheem didn't wish to hurt Draupadi convincing her for a talk with Yudhishthir. Of course he was sad for both of them, but he couldn't dare to take the risk of making Draupadi upset with any of his acts. One more reason was he wasn't confident to approach her, because he knew well that he wasn't much sensible in sensitive issues.

Nakul was too clueless to do anything for reuniting Draupadi and Yudhishthir. Being a pampered one he wasn't ever pushed into convincing anyone. That had stopped him from being an arbitrator in between Yudhishthir and Draupadi.

Sahdev's silent nature didn't help him much in this matter even or it could be said that being an astrologer he had sensed that bond of Yudhishthir and Draupadi had a long process to go through, and he wasn't the one to do anything regarding that matter.

Being determined to interfere in the no contact situation of Yudhishthir and Draupadi, Arjun had called both of them near the water fall which wasn't so far from their hut.

Draupadi reached at the destination to find Yudhishthir and Arjun were present there.

"Jyeshth, why don't you have a talk with panchali? Silence isn't going to help you both in any way," Arjun spoke purposefully after noticing Draupadi's arrival.

"I know that silence isn't a solution, but I don't have anything to talk either. Even I can't ask her forgiveness," Yudhishthir sighed with a faint smile.

"You aren't only responsible for this situation. Everyone who were present at dice hall that day had their shares in this situation," Arjun reminded the fact.

"But I was the one who staked her," the bitterness of truth chocked Yudhishthir's voice.

"I respect the way you are regretting, but only this can't reason a better tomorrow, not only for our family but also for the people who are expecting dharma to rise again," Mentioning the greater cause of wellbeing Arjun was hoping a positive outcome.

"I agree with you. I don't want to ask her forgiveness. I want to earn that from her. No matter how much time it takes but I want to earn her forgiveness on my own," Yudhishthir's determination brought a smile of relief on Arjun's lips.

Arjun's smile became a bit wider after observing a thoughtful Draupadi who was seeming so considerate about Yudhishthir's words in the conversation which she heard few times ago.
