okay, imagine that Hogwarts had TA positions, mostly for aspiring professors, whether they taught at Hogwarts or some other school. and like, we all know that DADA runs through professors every year, but for the last few years, they've had the same TA.

and when Remus Lupin becomes professor, he almost relies on his TA during the full moons, and he treats the TA like an equal. so, he'll value their opinion on lessons, and they spend time together creating lessons and grading assignments. he genuinely wants to see his TA succeed and become a professor one day. and they just have this fluffy relationship that slowly evolves into something more and they don't realize it until one of their students point it out, and it's all cute and awkward until Remus stutters out that he fancies them and asks them on a date to Hogsmeade for the last trip
