I actually hate myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ that has no correlation with the fact that I failed sociology, but whatever. I told myself that I was not going to write a JJ Maybank fic, because there's soooo many— anyway, I lied. I'm totally writing one, bc I got inspired when Youngblood by 5sos came on the radio.

anyway, it's kinda like that you don't forget your first love type of thing. like JJ was the first boy that Julia ever loved and he broke her heart as kids, and so she kinda left the friend group— but she gets reintroduced to the friend group after everything with John B.'s father. it's like hella awkward for Julia and JJ, mostly bc there's still that thing there but JJ actually pushed Julia away bc she got too close after an altercation between JJ and his father.
