Chapter 7

"So what happened again" Draco asked sitting on a bed in the room

"My food was drugged to put me to sleep, and I don't know why but when you ate the piece it took a second but the drug in my steak knocked you out, but I wasn't effected by it because I am immune to many types of poisons, drugs, and toxins" I said to him again, and then I had to cover my ears while the long beep echoed through the room, and when it ended that man talked through the speakers.

The newcomer is going to do training now, so everyone watch their screens I shot up and walked to the door then I remembered that I didn't know where it was, so I turned to Draco.

"Just follow the hallway on the left and then go left again" Draco said "there is a different door then the rest, and when you get to it walk up to it, and when it opens go through and everything will be deactivated for the time that you are training there, but there is going to be a couple of...challenges and we can watch you through the TV's"

"Okay, thanks" I said and then looked at Draco before following his directions. I turned left for the second time and I saw a pitch black door at the end of the hall, so I went up to it and when I did it started to open. I stepped through and I felt my powers return, and I was relieved to have my powers back. I heard my collar make a long beep and then go silent as it un-clipped from around my neck. I took it off and set it down on a flat platform next to me, and then I walked through the low hanging archway before the flat sand, and stopped on the sand looking around the place.

"Your test will be harder than the others" a male voice said through a speaker somewhere "it will have five different challenges that are all of the same or harder difficulties, and if you defeat them all without getting severely injured. Then you will be granted one or two things at your request, but you can't request to leave this place in any form or fashion. Get your weapons because your first test starts...now" I opened a portal and jumped in, and then I opened another portal back to where I was and dropped back onto the sand with all of my weapons and my black and silver armor on. A loud beep resounded across the arena and something shifted. I looked to my left to see a metal door sliding up from the other side of the arena, and something big was scratching at the metal waiting to be let out against it's opponent. I drew my silver swords and got into a ready stance, and two lions stepped out into the light. They were at least seven feet tall, and their fur gleamed like polished copper in the light. I recognized them and swore when I saw them look straight at me and pounce. I jumped over them and struck their coats with my silver swords only for them to scratch across the surface of the fur making sparks, but causing no damage. I slid under the second lion as it jumped over me and sheathed my silver swords, and then I pulled out the twin black swords that had chosen me at the academy.

The lions saw the ancient swords radiating with dark power, and stopped eyeing them warily. Then they looked at each-other before splitting up and going to both of my sides, and the one on my left fake pounced. I went low to strike at it's underside and go for it's heart, but it leaped to the side and the one behind me swiped at me with one claw sending me flying to the arena wall. I stabbed the ground with my swords to slow me down, and they cut through the arena's ground before stopping making me let go of them and fly backwards landing on the floor on my face. I got up and brushed myself off before trying to magnetize the swords to me, but they were so far in the ground that they didn't even budge. I ducked and rolled as one of the lions went over me, and I punched it's underside breaking a rib and sending it flying up and landing on it's back yowling in pain. I searched for the other one, but didn't see it until it was on me trying to bite my face off. I gripped it's neck and threw it off of me before running back to my swords, and I just barely managed to grab them before getting swiped sideways again. I flipped in the air and hit the wall with my back making a large dent in the concrete, but I gripped my swords tighter and went on the offensive this time. I ran at the two male lions and sliced, hacked, and cut my way through them until all that was left was a lion lying on the floor with one of my swords in it's chest and heart, and then another laying on the ground a couple of feet away decapitated.

"Stupid Nemean Lions" I said as I ripped out the sword from the first lion, and then cleaned them both off and sheathed them on my back. I could tell that by the silence, that no one thought that I would defeat those, but I was different than the others, and it would take a-lot more than just two large lions to defeat me. Then as if the system heard my thoughts another door opened and three Pit Scorpions came out. They had claws as long as my body and their tail barbs were each at least five feet long by seven feet thick. Not like it would take poison to kill me in this form or anything, nope I just wanna get stabbed to death by some stupid tails. A good thing for me was that they were blind and even though they knew that there were other scorpions in the same arena, and that there was something that they could kill for food other than each other. They were blind as cave spiders, and if they bumped into anything they blindly struck out. Then if they killed it they would find it later by touch mainly. I knew that something that they hated other than light was water, so I made a cloud over the middle one and then I mixed in some toxins and acid that could melt anything. Then I let the cloud empty itself all over the middle scorpion with the spray and splash damage hurting the others next to it. It shrieked as the first drop touched it and burned through it's armor and flesh, but didn't get as far as a major organ. It went every which way striking at anything it touched which included each other, and the walls. Then after one final cry it hit the wall and crumpled against it with the rain slowly eating away at it's dead carcass. The others whereas had at least ten stings from each other and were going to die soon too, but not before they could kill me or one one another.

"I thought that you said that these were supposed to be hard" I yelled across the arena dodging two strikes and four swipes as they attempted to crush, hit, or stab me. I pulled out a silver sword and cut off three of one of the scorpion's legs making it fall unbalanced and crash against the floor in a large spray or dirt. The second one sensed my movement and swiped at me, but I ducked and cut off it's claw making it shriek in pain while I covered me ears. Then it stopped as it hissed and rushed me, but it was a little off to the side from one of it's claws weighing it down. I cut off it's other claw making it shriek again, and writhe from the pain, and then I cut off it's tail and it crumbled to ash. I was a little too late on sensing the other one and I got blasted sideways as it hit me with a claw. I crashed into the wall to it's right and it felt this and rushed at me only to ram straight into a wall. I took this to my advantage and cut off it's tail reducing it to ash like the other one, and immediately afterwards the wall behind me started to slide up, and the first thing that I saw was three huge paws before five hell-hounds came rushing out at me. I dodged the first and second, and then I was lifted upwards and sent into the air. I plummeted down towards the open mouth of one of them, and just before I got to it, it was sent sideways and I landed on another's back. Let me just tell you they are worse than a bull when ridden, but I didn't care. My bow and an arrow formed as I pulled back the string of the bow with an arrow at it, and then let go making a silver arrow appear out of no where and sink into one of the hell hounds faces killing it.

Then I pulled back the string again and my bow actually appeared this time with my quiver on my back replacing my weapons. I smiled now happy that I could see what I was shooting at and with, and then I let loose all of the arrows that I could. Even  though it only took three more arrows to kill the other hounds that were trying to jump and bite me off the other's back, or jump on it and snatch me off. I shot them all easily with one of them being in the air, and then I didn't even bother with knocking an arrow for the last one because I was riding it, so I just just put my hands around it's head and twisted hearing that satisfying crack of the kill. Killing it immediately, and then just as last time another door slide open, but this time it was one the other side of the arena and two giant roars shook the whole arena. I watched as two Shadow dragons came barreling out of the doors, and I also saw that they were brothers, and if I killed one then the other would go ballistic, and unlike other animals and humans. Dragons are very hard to kill when they are angry, and since these ones were Shadow dragons and the only thing that could kill them was silver arrows, a silver sword through the heart which would be way too risky with two against me, or another dragon. I sighed and then started to change, and the two brothers saw this and stopped their charge to watch in slight amazement, and slight curiosity.

My bones shifted and grew, my mouth and head shaped into a snout, muzzle, and sharp teeth, my bones and skin turned to silver, and I screamed as two wings burst through my back. I felt the familiar heaviness of my tail, and the crossbow at its tip, or end. I didn't care, and then I waited for one of them to attack, but they tried to run. The brother on the left tried to take flight and leave the place, but was knocked back down by an invisible shield, and the second one tried ramming into the doors, but couldn't get through. I felt pity for them, and then I noticed that there was an opening that they could get through, and as if sensing what I was going to do they gave up trying to escape and just sat there in silence as they expected me to kill them.

My queen we did not know that you would be here, but clearly we were wrong and will die at your hands without a fight a deep male voice echoed through my head as the one on the right bowed his head a little further.

I do not know of this queen thing, but I will not kill you I said and they relaxed I am going to set you free on one condition they both looked up and into my eyes with thanks and wonder.

You can't set us free the one on the left said in a slightly lighter voice this place keeps us trapped with these stupid collars that we can't take off

Maybe you can't take them off, but who said that I couldn't I said and they both stood straight again and looked at me in gratitude but before I take them off and set you free do you promise to come back and storm this place with all of the dragons willing to come with you I looked at them both and saw that they would do anything to get back with their kind again.

Yes milady the slightly older one on the right said we will come back for you and the others here, and thank you. We are forever in your debt he did something that I never thought was possible because I only read it in stories that I read on my free time. There was a black strand of energy seeping off of them and into my body and soul, and then all of the sudden I felt more powerful, and I also felt two presences tied to my soul and heart.

We have bonded ourselves to you, so that if you die then we die, and if you fight then we will fight alongside of you I was shocked that they would be willing to do this for a queen that they were about to fight and if you ever want to speak to us we will listen to what ever you have to say, and we will help you whenever you need us to, but there is also a bad side to bindings

Yeah I know I said you lose a part of your soul and are a step closer to death and insanity, but I am going to cut off the collars and you guys fall to the floor and stay there until I give you the signal to fly away.

Okay the older brother said as he nodded, and I quickly cut off their collars and they both fell to the ground 'dead'. I backed up burning the collars as I turned, and then the final gate opened signaling my last test, but the thing that came out wasn't another monster. The thing that came out was my mother, but her eyes were distant, dead, and completely black. She grabbed the two swords at her waist and started to walk to me. I shifted and grabbed my two silver swords, and then I started to run at my mother and she also broke into a run. It was like she was being controlled from the inside by something, but I didn't have the time to think because of the two swords that swiped at me. I brought a sword up to block them both and then I cut at her knees, and she fell to the floor, but got up again with a bleeding knee and no emotion of pain what-so-ever. She jumped up and tried to stab my head, but I blocked and brought my other sword up and through her heart as my fighting instinct took over. She dropped her swords and slowly took the sword out before falling to the ground dead looking at me in sorrow and hurt.

Then something strange happened, my mothers body started to fade and wings grew out of her back. I stepped back as her body started to break apart and go up into the air, and then they kept on going up passing the barrier, and going through the building into the sky above.

Thanks for reading guys and I decided to blend together this book and another book with a similar plot line because they were just getting too similar to each other, but I am going to go back on this book one day and edit it to be better than it is now ( I don't feel like it is as good as it could be at the moment). 1-19-18, 2767 words.
