Chapter 7

-------Sabre's POV------------

It had been two weeks since his 'death'
Other Sabre had been teaching Sabre how to make and throw a fireball (which he was amazing at, if he did say so himself) and also how to fly.

Sabre was still a little bit wobbly with the flying, which was evident because he was tangled up in a tree at the moment.

Other Sabre was kneeled over, clutching his stomach and the laughing was causing his wings to flick about every breath.

"Stop laughing, it's not funny." Sabre complained, but chuckled himself. He attempted to untangle himself, but only ended up with his wings wrapped around the tree truck and his non-paralyzed arm slung across his back, the paralyzed arm just hanging limply at his side.

The paralyzed arm had affected him a bit, as he couldn't put full power into any attacks since he couldn't charge it up with both arms.

Other Sabre had proposed an idea that while him and Sabre weren't training, he could be trying to find a way to heal Sabre's paralyzed arm, because it was possible apparently. Just really hard to do for the Creator of the Universe, other Steves couldn't do it.

"It so is!" Other Sabre managed to wheeze out before completely falling over.

At last, Sabre managed to sit up on the tree branch and glare down at Other Sabre. Using the branch as a push-off, he flew down at top speed to Other Sabre, who was just standing up again.

Other Sabre yelped and instinctively pulled up a shield, green in colour, and crouch behind it. Sabre gasped and fired a fireball, breaking the shield before he could slam into it.

Other Sabre looked up with surprise and also excitement, before Sabre slammed into his stomach and sent him flying backwards.

"Sabre!!!!" He yelled, sitting up and fixing his hair, which was ruffled up from the fall.

Sabre laughed, then stopped and picked up a shard of the now-broken shield. "I broke it with just a half-powered up fireball." He muttered, but Other Sabre heard.

"Yeah, you did! Do you know what that means?" Other Sabre walked over to Sabre, spreading one wing outwards as he spoke, "You've still got more power than I originally thought!"

"Oh, really? We're more powerful than that?" Sabre blinked up at him with a smile.

"Of course! We can destroy a mountain with just one blast if we wanted to." Other Sabre smirked at him, to which Sabre stared at Other Sabre with awe.

"We can?!" He flared his wings, eyes wide.

"Yes, but we're not doing that." Other Sabre chuckled, "No destroying the mountains that we made, it would hurt their feelings." Other Sabre joked, which Sabre laughed again.

"Well, I think that we could actually destroy Void Steve's Volcano base, not just a poor random mountain." Sabre muttered, curling his wings in on his back.

"Oh! OH! We could!! That would make things so much easier! But we'd still have to defeat Void Steve. You might be able to break a shield, but can you handle a fight against a very powerful Steve without full power." Other Sabre frowned at the last sentence.

"Probably not. Wait, couldn't you just do it and pretend you're me? Well, you are me, but in the past and my mindscape..." Sabre asked, blinking up at Other Sabre hopefully.

"No. As much as I want to, I can't. I'm not fully physical, I cannot enter your world, I'm just in your mindscape, like you said. If I tried to, either I'd be destroyed, or I'd just be a ghostly figure that couldn't touch or do anything but stand there. I don't know what would happen, it's an even chance and I don't want to risk being destroyed." Other Sabre groaned and looked at the ground.

"That sucks." Sabre murmured with a stab of pity.

"Yep." Other Sabre sighed, then turned away. "We should keep training."

Sabre nodded.

-----Timeskip brought to you by my lack of ideas----------

"Alright! It's time for you to go back to your world now." Other Sabre shuffled in place, smiling.

"Okay. Bye!!!!" Sabre smiled, then closed his eyes.

He blinked his eyes open, stretching.

Dawn light filtered in from his half-open window. Sitting up, he grabbed his jumper, pants and blindfold.

Quickly tying the blindfold on (struggling to with one hand) and getting dressed, Sabre walked downstairs.

He blinked down at the kitchen he had, which had been recently modified for his arm.
Grabbing some steak and apples, Sabre walked over towards the door.

He stopped next to it, blinking at the sword laid next to it.
Maybe it's a good idea to bring it...just in case. And I can't reveal myself yet. Sabre thought as he grasped onto the sword, slipping it into his inventory.

Sabre opened the door and squinted as the sudden flash of sunlight through the blindfold.

"Morning Sabre!" A voice came from nearby, and Sabre turned to see Light Steve waving from his position near the Colourless Guard Outpost.

"Morning Light!" Sabre walked up to him, a smile on his face.

"How have you been recovering?" Light Steve smiled, flashing a glance at Sabre's arm.

Sabre reached over with his working arm and clutched the paralyzed arm self-consciously.
"I'm doing fine." He mumbled.

Light frowned, obviously concerned.
"Alright, you know you can come to me about anything, right Sabre?"

Sabre nodded. "Alright, thanks Light." The thought to tell Light about being the Creator of ORIGIN STEVE crossed his mind, but Sabre decided not to.
I don't know how Light will react to that...I can't afford to not be friends with him right now.

Sabre frowned. What am I thinking? He wouldn't just abandon me like that. But still, I won't tell him for a while yet.

I'll keep it quiet just in case...

------Timeskip brought to you by Gerald's carrots, I might include him in the story I just don't know where to put him in :/ anyway, let's continue------------

Sabre sighed. He had been training some Steves in fighting and defence against the Darkness.

All of them had been doing well, especially Yellow Steve in a Leather Chest-plate.
But Therapist Green Steve was probably one of the least of the fighters between the Steves.

He was doing well, but he'd preferred just talking it out. Sabre was fine with that when it was just him and Therapist Green Steve, but when it came to when Therapist Green Steve might have to fight against Darkness (Origin hope that never happens) he would have to fight.

That's why Sabre had asked Light Steve if any attack ever happens, Therapist Green Steve would be situated as the very last line of defence, which meant there was less chance that Therapist Green Steve would have to fight.

Sabre was watching Therapist Green Steve and an Orange Steve practice battle, swinging almost harmless wooden swords.
The Orange Steve swung at Therapist Green Steve, who ducked under the swing and swung his sword up and hit the Orange Steve on the chin.

He let out a yelp and fell backwards, quickly regaining his balance and meeting Therapist Green Steve's sword with a soft clashing noise.

Therapist Green Steve elbowed Orange Steve in the stomach but got caught as Orange Steve fell backward and they both toppled over on top of each-other.

Sabre sighed. "That was really good, both of you. My only advice is: Orange Steve, maybe guard your stomach a bit more so you don't get attacked there. And Therapist Green Steve, try to find a better way to quickly get away before you're dragged down with them."

"Alright, Sabre, thank you!" Orange Steve smiled before walking off.

Therapist Green Steve turned to Sabre, a small grin on his face. "Have I been getting better?" He asked hopefully.

"You have been, although you could get better! But you're already amazing. Just need to work on a few things." Sabre assured him.

"Thanks, Sabre. How are you going though?" Therapist Green Steve leaned closer.

Sabre blinked, then sighed. "I'm fine, Therapist Green Steve. Thank you, though."
Therapist Green Steve frowned, staring at Sabre suspiciously.

"You sure? You seem tense." Therapist Green Steve muttered, looking concerned.

Sabre was a bit surprised. He hadn't even realised that he was tense. "Like I said, Therapist Green Steve, I'm fine." Sabre smiled.

Therapist Green Steve stood there quietly for a few moments, as if analysing Sabre.
Then with a shrug and a sigh, he walked off. "Bye, Sabre! And if you ever need help, just come to me, you know that, right?"

"I do, thank you! Bye!" Sabre waved, then let out a relieved sigh as Therapist Green Steve disappeared.

Just a little longer...hold up for a bit longer until you're ready...then Void is going to get what he deserves.
