Chapter 6

---------Rainbow Steve's POV---------

He stared in horror as Sabre collapsed to the floor.

Light Steve and Galaxy Steve were yelling angrily at Void Steve, but Rainbow Steve could only hear a loud ringing sound in his ears as he stared at Sabre's body.

Blood roared in his ears, joining the ringing sound. Rainbow Steve was shaking now, eyes still wide with shock.

He jumped as he felt something wrap around his waist, and Rainbow Steve looked down to see Time Steve clinging to Rainbow Steve, shaking and crying.

Elemental Steve was glaring at Void Steve, tears shining in his eyes while he had one hand on Time Steve's back.

Rainbow Steve hugged Time Steve back, now crying as well.

He could now hear what Galaxy Steve and Light Steve were threatening Void Steve with now; "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS WITH YOUR LIFE! YOU MONSTER!" Galaxy Steve was screaming, while Light Steve was joining in with: "I agree with Galaxy Steve!! You're a heartless monster, Void Steve! You WILL pay for this! I will make sure of it!"

The Colourless Guards were all stiff, and Rainbow Steve could swear that one was crying, with all the sniffling sounds he was making. One was seemingly eyeing off his weapon nearby, and the Darkness holding him down as if planning to grab it and kill the Darkness and Void Steve.

Rainbow Steve glanced back at the Darkness that killed Sabre, who was still standing near his body.

His eyes widened.

Was that movement? No, Sabre was dead, it must just be his own imagination.

He sighed sadly, then looked up again as it seemed Sabre moved his hand.

Gasping, he straightened up as Sabre semi-sat up, looking quite confused and in pain.

"SABRE?!" Rainbow Steve yelped in joy as Sabre looked around.

"What?! He was dead!" Void Steve yelled, anger and shock in his gaze.

Everyone was silent, still shaken by this turn of events.

Time Steve rubbed his eyes and sat up, Elemental Steve stared with an open mouth, while Galaxy Steve and Light Steve were half-shocked, half-determined.

"Go!" Light Steve snapped and punched the Darkness back, grabbing the nearest Colourless Guard weapon.

He swung it around and stabbed the other Darkness figures, watching them fade into nothing after he destroyed them.

Elemental Steve cheered and jumped to his feet. Summoning a fireball, he shot it at Void Steve's face.

Yelping, Void Steve fell back.

Rainbow Steve smiled and jumped up.

Racing towards the entrance to the glass cage thing, he yanked it open.

He darted inside and tackled D (if you haven't read the last chapter, 1: Go read it and 2: that's what I was calling the darkness that was fighting Sabre)

D hissed and reached for his sword.

He gasped when he realised that Sabre was wielding it with one hand.

Stabbing forward, he missed Rainbow Steve (deliberately lol) and slashed D's head.

Rainbow Steve sat up, grabbed Sabre's hand, and ran.

After a few moments, all of the group managed to escape.

They ducked under a tree, huddling in the shadows to hide.

"Alright, it's great we got you out of there, Sabre. But I have one question." Time Steve turned towards Sabre.

"Oh, uhh. Sure. What is it?" Sabre shuffled in place.

"How are you alive?! You died, we saw!" Elemental Steve broke in as Time Steve opened his mouth. "I'm glad your alive, but HOW?!"

Sabre blinked at them. "I..." He hesitated, then continued. "I don't know." Sabre shrugged, then turned away.

Rainbow Steve stared at him with a frown. He knew Sabre, and he knew that tone.
Sabre was lying. But Rainbow Steve didn't know how Sabre was alive, all he knew that Sabre knew how.

His eyes narrowed. He'd find out what was going on, whether Sabre wanted it or not.

-------------Sabre's POV (Just after he was 'killed')---------------

His eyes widened against the bright light.

After a moment, his eyes adjusted and he managed to look around.

Sabre realised he was in a flower field, surrounded by patched forests.

Stepping forward, he turned as there was a weird noise coming from behind him.

A portal was there, and someone emerged from it.

Sabre gasped as he saw...himself. He had a different outfit, but the same blindfold and looks.

Other Sabre watched the portal disappear, then took in a deep breath.

Holding out his hands, a weak glow began to form.

Sabre stepped back and stared at the glow in Other Sabre's hands.

It strengthened, a blue colour took it on.

Blinding light spread from it, and both Sabres flinched back.

When he looked back, his mouth opened in shock.

A new Steve was standing there. It was smaller than other Steves, that meant it was newly created. The Steve had its eyes closed.

It snapped its eyes open and looked around. It had pure blue eyes.

Sabre gasped as he recognised the Steve.

Origin Steve.

Other Sabre smiled at him as they looked at eachother.

"Who are you?" Origin Steve blinked, but a glimmer of slight respect showed in his eyes when Other Sabre spoke.

"I am Sabre. The creator of this World and you. Your name is Origin Steve." Other Sabre smiled.

Sabre was silent with shock. Creator of the World?! And the Creator of the Creator of STEVES?! How did I not remember this?! His eyes widened as something appeared on Other Sabre's back.

Huge golden and white wings. Origin Steve glanced at his back at this, wiggling his small white wings with golden tips.

Origin Steve glanced up at Other Sabre with a wide smile on his face.

Sabre glanced at his own back. Focusing, he thought about those golden and white wings appearing on his back. When he opened his eyes, shock and excitement burst through him.

The wings he imagined were there, tucked neatly together behind his back.

Sabre thought about flaring them out, to spread wide until the tips were spread out as far as they could go.

The wings flared, startling Sabre. They reached out, almost touching the tree Sabre was standing nearby to.

He turned his head back to Other Sabre and Origin Steve, his wings folding from their spread state.

Origin Steve was running around, exploring the new world he was in.

Sabre was startled as he spotted Other Sabre staring at him.

"Y-you can see me?" Sabre stepped towards Other Sabre, who nodded.

"Yes. You're from the future. I can tell. I also know you forgot everything about being the Creator." Other Sabre smiled at him.

"How did I--we forget?" Sabre asked, twitching his wings slightly. They still felt weird, but at the same time comforting, as if they could protect him from any hit fired at him.

"Memory Steve. There's no way I can change the future, but I can see what happens. When Origin Steve creates him, something goes wrong and he attacks us. I manage to get Origin through a portal, but it closes before I get through and Memory Steve gets to me--us." Other Sabre scoffed. "Even Memory Steve can affect the Creator."

"I don't understand though, why didn't Origin recognise us in the future when he sees us?" Sabre crossed his arms, glancing at the younger version of Origin as he clambered up a tree.

"Memory Steve got to him too. Erased all memories of us, and made him think that he was the first Steve and the Creator. There was only four Steves existing at the time:
Origin Steve,
Galaxy Steve,
Void Steve and
Memory Steve.
There were no documents or recordings about our existence, and if there was, Memory Steve destroyed them. So that's why no Steve recognised us." Other Sabre finished.

"So only Memory Steve knows about us." Sabre frowned.

"No, actually. This is sort of a pocket dimension. When Memory Steve found a way out of this pocket dimension, the security measure I put in made him forget we were the Creator." Other Sabre chuckled.

"Oh. Great. But...why am I here, and why are you telling me this?" Sabre wondered.

"You were killed, but the Creator never truly dies. They always come back, so you will. But you needed to know this, so while you were in the state of being revived, I gave you the information. But you have to hide it." Other Sabre's voice suddenly darkened.

"What?" Sabre was caught off-guard.

"No-one must know. If they get infected, or Darkness overhears, our cover will be blown and we're done for. Until we find a way to unlock your powers, you're vulnerable."

"Oh. I understand. But why is it 'we' when unlocking my powers, isn't it just me?" Sabre glanced again at Origin, who was looking amazed at the fact he could grow flowers.

"I can help you, I'll be there. When you're asleep, we will study how to get your powers back." Other Sabre smiled, then jumped as the world around them rumbled.

"You're going back. Remember, don't tell ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE. About this. You hear me?" Other Sabre blinked at him.

"Yes, I do. I'll keep it a secret. I guess I'll see you later?" Sabre blinked.

"Yep, also, hide your wings. If you go back with your wings still out, it'll show and blow our cover. Use the same method you used to get them out, imagine them hiding." Other Sabre pointed at his wings.

Sabre nodded, and felt the slight weight of the wings disappearing. They were gone, just like that.

He smiled at Other Sabre, who nodded with a smile and walked over to Origin Steve.

The land faded into darkness, and a small light flickered in front of him.

Reaching out, he grabbed a hold of the light.

Opening his eyes, he was met with the same room Sabre had 'died' in just before.

He flashed a smile. He would use this new information to further protect his friends, and any good Steves in his world, and get rid of all evil that shadowed over them. Determination filled him.

He was the Creator. And it was now his duty to protect all that was Good.
