The Parallel Four walked in silence. It was quite tense and the only sound they heard was the 'pat, pat'  of their own feet. They looked around nervously as they thought every little sound meant danger. Parallel Stephanie was the only one looking ahead determinedly. Unlike her counterpart, she was a brave soul.

"Um," said Stephanie, breaking the ice "who were those people? You said they were animals who open portals into other dimensions and kill the people who wander through. Why didn't you think of that before?"

Angel did a weird half shrug. She knew the question was directed towards her I particular.

"I didn't realise in the panic and confusion. Look it been around two hours since we ran away. According to the moon it must be around 1:30 right now. I say we take a rest under that tree." Angel replied, while pointing to a large oak tree. In Angel's opinion, it looked like they could actually sleep in     the tree.

"Okay, let's go sisters!" Parallel Jessica said enthusiastically. She grabbed Twinkle's arm and skipped towards the tree. The others bounded towards the tree just when Jessica and Twinkle simultaneously groaned.

"What- oh." Angel moaned as they saw another portal. 

"Maybe this one will take us home?" Twinkle said hesitantly. Parallel Twinkle was pretty much dumb.

"Great idea Twinkle! Let's walk into a totally random hole and hope it will take us back to our universe!" Stephanie said. Every word she spoke was absolutely dripping with sarcasm.

The went near the hole. It looked pretty much the same as the first hole, but the aura was different. They felt like they could trust the hole. The aura was welcoming, refreshing even. It felt like the hole would do no harm unlike the previous hole.

"I dunno... It feels welcoming dudettes..." Jessica said cautiously. She was addressing all of the four but it felt like she was talking to herself. She was probably soaking in the aura.

"Oh, but it is. It is welcoming." Said an aged voice.

The parallel four screamed. Were the 'Corrupters' back?
