"OW!" came a wail.

A beige coloured mouse jolted up, surprised. she was met with a black and white cat glaring daggers at her.

"You know you shouldn't just lie there while your friends are falling, write Twinkle?" the cat, who was named Jessica, snarled. She was white with a large black spot on her back and her right paw was the purest black anyone had ever seen.

Twinkle muttered a quick apology and then she heard the sound of loud laughing. her eyes trailed to the top of the hill where she saw her other two friends. Angel who was a colour-shifting dragon high-fived a golden retriever called Stephanie.

"Stephanie! Angel! You'll pay for that!" Jessica yelled at them.

 If looks could kill, Stephanie and Angel would be long gone. Surprisingly, even Stephanie who was the biggest wimp known to the animal kingdom wasn't afraid because she was still clutching her sides and scuffling in the  grass. Angel was creating small hurricanes in the beautiful lavender hills.

"Ha... You try! I can get Angel to fly me to the other side of the world."  Stephanie grinned while patting Angel's side.

"We'll see..." Jessica murmured. Everyone could clearly see her mind was forming a genius, over-the-top plan.

"Hey guys! Stop arguing! Look, there's an odd hole here..." Twinkle said while examining the hole. she was trying to come up with a theory.

The hole looked very odd. It didn't look like the lavender hills around them, nor did it look like the meadow they were standing in. The cliff by the meadow had been their home forever, yet they never noticed the little indent in the cliff where the 'hole' was. It had swirling multi-coloured dust and rocks clamped up most of it.

"Huh? Should we go in?" Angel mused, almost to herself. The hole flared as if it had a mind of its own.

"Uh, no! Duh! It could be dangerous!" whimpered Stephanie who looked terrified. She hid behind Twinkle, even though the little mouse was barely even tall enough to hide her knee.

"You're just scared!" Jessica teased.

"I am not!" Stephanie cried.

"You are too!" Jessica persisted.

"Okay, okay! Relax guys! Lets go in and investigate and if it's dangerous, we'll come straight out! How does that sound to everyone?" Twinkle asked. Murmurs of agreement were heard. She smiled triumphantly. "Good! Lets go inside!" she said and led the way.

Once they were inside, they felt strange.

"Guys, it feels like space and time just stopped... It feels awful! There's only this colour-changing dust and-" Angel shivered then her jaw dropped. "G-guys..."she stuttered.

"Yeah? What?" Stephanie asked.

 "T-turn around." Angel said cautiously.

They turned around and almost fell over with surprise. There were polar opposites of their selves. There was a serious Angel, a brave Stephanie, a dumb Twinkle and a prissy Jessica. Everyone looked at each other in shock except for parallel Stephanie who just growled menacingly. Suddenly, the strange hole lurched and spun making everyone scream. Then the world went black.
