Cilan's Point of View

I fixed my bowtie in front of the mirror as the Shadow Triad was still watching me from behind. I don't think I could ever make a plan with them behind me... Though they remind me of Chili and Cress , and maybe a bit of myself.

I gave them a sidelong look as I smirked and turn to them completely,"So what should I do then?"

They crossed their arms and turned to the small embrasure behind them. In there were my friends and their pokemons. They were frightened and seemingly worried about one thing, and I know it's not mostly about their pokemons.

It's me...

Why am I so naive to join them? Oh yeah, they blackmailed me for doing so. But I have to risk my own reputation just to save them... I hope they'll understand... Especially Ash and (Y/N)... They trusted me the most and I don't wanna break that trust... They worry when I was away for a few hours, and then i'm just gonna betray them?

I think I'm the most awful friend they have ever had in their whole life... I'm such a jerk.

The guy with green shaded hair yanked my arm as he moved his lips beside my ear and whispered with his cold and hoarse voice,"If you didn't follow my orders, your friends will die... Understand?"

I nodded silently, my heart starts to thump even faster and I can feel the pressure build within me... The atmosphere became heavy and it made it hard for me to breath nor even move. My legs were shaking and I can feel the tension building even more.

"Come on."The guy with blue shaded hair said.

They move in front of me as we walked outside the dark room, and entering a well-lighted room. My eyes started to twitch. Peering and scanning my eyes for Ash and the others.

"Where's Cilan!!!"Ash shouted in anger. The chains were making noises and I can feel my heart beats even faster. My vision started to become dim. I cannot take this anymore...

"Cilan it is.."The guy with red shaded hair whispered, as he pushed me in front of them...

"Cilan!.."Ash shouted, and a smile formed in his lip for a moment, then there was sadness and confusion.

"Cilan?..."(Y/N) stared at me, as if she knows what was going on and the reason why I'm with them.

Serena on the other hand was examining me. Clothes are neat, everything was neat. No torture intended.

"Ash..."I stared at him, giving a heavy sigh as my eyes started to dim.

"Cilan are you...?"Ash clenched his fist. Anger building up in his eyes.

I closed my eyes tightly, squeezing the knife in my pocket tightly."Ash... Yes."

"Cilan.."Ash slid backwards. Turning to Serena and (Y/N) then laughing silently,"That's not true guys. You know it's not. Cilan can't do that."

(Y/N) was shivering, turning to Ash."I know he can't... But.."

Serena sighed as she glance on my and said,"He's a traitor."

I knew it.

"Serena! (Y/N)! He can't do this! He's just doing this because there is a reason! Right Cilan?!"Ash tried reaching for my hands but with no intention, I pulled the knife out of my pocket and pointed at him.

"STAY AWAY!"I shouted,"Don't ever come near me!"

Ash became downcast, his eyes was filled with tears,"Unbelievable..."

"I told you! Just stay away!"I shouted,"You can't trust me! See?! I'm a traitor! Don't ever come near me nor talk to me nor even love me! I don't deserve those! Right Serena?!"

Serena's eyes widened, and tension started to build up some more,"Pathetic.."She says.

"Oh yeah! Then fine! If you think of it that way, we're through! We're over! That's what you want right Cilan?!"Ash shouted in anger. My tears started to fall once again,"You're a traitor! I hate you! I trusted you Cilan!"

The knife just slid down my fingers, and fell on the ground."Ash... I'm sorry.. I.. Just have to.. Do this."

And a smiled form on Ash's lips,"Knew it"

Serena frowned while (Y/N) just raised an eyebrow at me."Grr.. I will never forgive you" Serena muttered.

"Not really caring about you."I replied with a smirk."Jerk" I said sarcastically.

Serena chuckled and narrowed her eyes,"Traitor"

"Cilan.."(Y/N) gave me a smile,"Thank you."

My face started to turn red again. The heck is this feeling?!

I then turned my back and saw the Shadow Triad glaring at me,"So be it..."

"I won't let you hurt them!"I shouted.

"Oh we won't hurt them.."The guy with green hair said,"You actually fulfill your mission to distract them and give some time to finish the experiment."

"Cilan?!"Ash started to get infuriated again..

"No I didn't mean i—"I stopped, and notice a sharp and unexplainable feeling build up within me.

It hurts from the outside, and it feels utterly cold from the inside. I can feel myself growing weak, and my vision starts to blur...

"Wh...what..happened.."I mumbled, and their voices started to echo...

"Cilan! Cilan! No! Keep yourself awake!!"My friends shouted. And as I turned my glance from below...

I saw a knife... The knife they used to stab me.

Why am I so unlucky in life?... Why do I have to experience all these pain? If all I do was just protect them and love them... I never did anything wrong but be a martyr..

Or maybe that was the reason I'm experiencing all these...

By being too attached to them... By being too good to them... And so goodness paid me with..

Death...

I don't want to leave them..I want to stay and protect them no matter what...

I don't wanna...

I wanna fight..

I want to live...
