Kakashi-(anbu operative;solo mission;Before team 7)

Kakashi had been running away from enemy ninja for almost an hour. He was running due to the fact he was extremely low on chakra and didn't have any weapons left to fight with.

The enemy ninja were right on his tail. As he was running he spotted a cave. He decided to hide within the cave behind some stalagmites.

The enemy ninja followed and stopped within the cave with their leader appearing only seconds later.

“Kakashi...give up already...you cannot hide in here forever!”

Kakashi was silent as of not to give away his position to his enemy’s.

“The silent treatment, eh?, kakashi?” “I see, if you want to play that way then I guess i’ll play that way too.” “You guys know what to do.”

The three other enemy ninja with him started to search the cave.

They found him.

“Boss, we found him!”

Kakashi was held down by his captors. He struggled to get out of their grasp but found that he couldn’t.

The leader of the group who had on an orange mask walked over to kakashi with two syringes in his hand.

“Now... kakashi-kun I warned you to just give up, but no, you made me chase you down.” “Now you're going to have to pay for that you brat!”

“Izuna,Kalu,Hitama, keep him held down.”

The three men just nodded.

The person in the mask then injected one of the syringes into kakashi’s stomach and the other into his right arm.

Kakashi just laid there in fear as he watched the purple liquid drain from both of the syringes.

For the first time in years he screamed. Not out of pain, but in fear and realization.

After the liquid had drained from both of the syringes the masked man had taken them out and pocketed them.

“Maybe this will teach you not to run away anymore when I want to fight.” “Izuna,Kalu,Hitama, rough him up a bit.” "I want to see him in pure agony before we leave him here.”

The three men nodded towards their leader.

“Oh and before I sit back…”

The masked ninja bent down to kakashi’s level and held his chin in their hand and said:

” I want to hear you scream and beg for my henchmen to stop.”

Kakashi glared at the masked ninja and spit at him.

The masked nin’s eyes widened and then he smiled.

“Hahaha...don’t give me that face, you didn’t fight me and you ran so now you have to pay, scum.” The masked Ninja got up from his position and walked to one of the stalagmite formations and somehow made a seat for himself.

“Now, let me hear your screams!”

The three men;Izuna,Kalu, and Hitama had then stopped holding him down and started to beat him up and use various kinds of jutsu's on him.

Kakashi couldn’t stop himself from screaming.

The masked man smiled sadistically.

He...he was enjoying seeing him in such pain!

This made kakashi angry but what could he do since he was too weak to even get up now? He just laid there and took whatever the three enemy ninja’s threw at him.

After about 4 hours of torture the man with the orange mask got up and stopped the three men from hitting him any further.

“Let’s go Izuna, Kalu,Hitama.” “Oh and before I forget...thank you for giving me such a good show kakashi-kun.”  The masked man all but practically purred as he walked out of the cave with the three henchmen following closely behind.

Kakashi lay on the cave floor crying. He hadn’t cried in years. Kakashi had been forced to be conscious through the entire 4 hour torture session. He was extremely tired yet he cried. He cried for about 20 minutes and then fell unconscious due to exhaustion.

(Back at Konoha-fourth hokage’s rule:Minato)

“Kakashi was supposed to be back by now....” Said minato as he took a sip of his tea.

As soon as he set his tea back down the cup cracked.

Minato was definitely starting to panic now if he already wasn’t before.

Minato called out to his anbu.

“Cat,bear,hawk!”

The three anbu operatives appeared before him in an instant.

“Yes lord hokage?”

“Kakashi, whom had been dispatched on a solo mission has not returned yet and I want you to search for him and bring him to me.” “Do not come back to me until you find him!” “Do you understand?”

“Yes lord hokage!” with that the three anbu agents disappeared and went to look for kakashi.

After about 6 hours kakashi had finally regained consciousness only to be in unbearable pain.

He screamed.

At this time the anbu team that minato had dispatched was near kakashi’s current location. As they were passing the cave where kakashi resided they heard a scream. They identified the scream as kakashi’s. The anbu went to check it out.

They found kakashi lying a little ways away from where they were standing.

They immediately went to his side.

“Kakashi Hatake, are you alright?”

“Not *cough* at all.”

“Alright, don’t worry we’ll carry you back.”

“Thank you.”

With that kakashi once again fell unconscious.

“Lets heal his wounds first and then transport him to Konoha.”

With that one of the anbu healed kakashi’s wounds and had picked him up bridal style and started to carry him to Konoha with the others following close behind.

It was about 8 hours later when the anbu returned to Konoha. They dropped kakashi off at the hospital and ordered for a full medical examination. The nurses scrambled and got to work within minutes. Then the anbu went to go fill minato in on the situation.

“Lord hokage, we found him badly injured in a cave about 8 hours away from here.” “We have taken him to the hospital for a full medical examination.” “He should be done by now and if you'd like you can go see him.”

The hokage sighed in relief.

“Thank you.”

Minato got out of his chair and exited the office and started running towards the hospital.

After 5 minutes minato reached the hospital and ordered one of the nurses to let him see kakashi.

One of the nurses lead minato to kakashi’s room where minato saw his student holding a pained expression.

“Nurse-San, what did you find from his full examination?” asked minato still looking at his student with worry.

“Well, we found that kakashi-san here has been injected with some sort of liquid.” “And by the looks of it and the contents of which the liquid was made up of it wasn't pousinous.” “But it may cause some changes to kakashi in the future.” “We aren't entirely sure what might change but we'll try our best to keep an eye on him.”

Minato looked a little less worried then before.

“Ah, I see...Thank you Nurse-San.” “I'm going to sit by kakashi's side until he wakes up if that's OK?”

“Of course that's OK Minato-San...Why wouldn't it be?” “I can see that you clearly care for kakashi-san very deeply so I don't understand why it wouldn't be alright.” “Feel free to stay as long as you want Minato-San.”  The nurse said as gently as possible.

Minato smiled at the nurse and thanked her as she walked out of the room. The nurse just smiled knowingly at minato and exited the room.

Minato released a breath he didn't know he had been holding and looked back at his student.

“Well Kashi, you seem to always get in trouble somehow...But it doesn't matter to me as long as I get to take care of you and keep you alive.” “*Sigh*...Well I might as well make myself comfortable because I won't be leaving any time soon.”

With that minato unfolded the couch and made a bed for himself. That night he didn't sleep well. Worry always crept into his mind. By the time he finally fell asleep it was 5 am.
