It had been one week since the reunion. Everything was back to normal as always but Rena was nowhere to be found.

And here I couldn't even rest in peace.

Flashback

"How? Wha-"

"Yeah, even I don't understand what happened just now"Jimin interrupted.

"This is unrealistic. I mean they just.... disappeared without any trace." Mina spoke up with a shocked face just like the one Jimin and I had.

We shifted a bit backwards... there was some sort of unexplainable radiation which we felt in that area which made us a bit lofty...

"Looks like the weird thing left a mark" Mina pointed at the spot where the electric blue portal had once stood. The spot was now completely black instead of the lush green grass it had earlier.

"Well, I'm gonna ask raelynn about whatever occurred as soon as I spot her" Jimin spoke with a furious expression on his face.

"No don't. I'm sure she's been hiding more.. how does she know Andrew in the first place? As far as I know, she left even before Andrew arrived. If we ask her about it.. she would surely spout useless falsifications so it's better if we keep an eye on her and not say anything about this incident." I addressed sternly.

"So Andrew is the guy who was shouting so loudly? Even I don't know him properly." Jimin spoke with an awkward smile.

"Yes, he's the guy who came here after you and Rena left this place. He used to bully other kids and yell a lot.. guess some people never attempt to correct themselves" I spoke sighing as I shook my head while Mina did the same.

"Well guess we should go now it's too late" Jimin spoke and then we all headed towards our houses as we waved each other goodbye.

A phone call brought me back to reality. The call was from Mina.

Why is she calling me at 4 in the morning?

I thought to myself as I picked the call.

"Hello-"

"Aera! I have got some useful info regarding Rena's sudden disappearance.." I noticed that she was whispering way too fast and she seemed scared?

"Mina please speak a bit louder I can't hear you"

"Kera Rena is he-"

And the line went dead...

I tried to call back many times but it said that the number didn't exist?

This was so odd...

And everything was freaking happening at 4 in the morning.

Finally, I gave up and called up Jimin.

"Are you that high to call me at this hour" Jimin croaked out in his morning voice as he let out a big yawn.

"Jimin! Do you know where Mina lives? she suddenly called me up at this hour and said that she knows what happened to Rena."

"What? What else did she tell you?" I heard some shifting noise from Jimin's side as I assumed he might've stood up from his bed.

"She was about to tell me about what happened but before she could even complete her sentence, the line went dead... I even tried calling her back but then the lady at the end of the call says that the number doesn't exist? I don't know what to do anymore. Can you, perhaps, tell me her address so that I can find her?"

I asked him hoping he'd know where she lived...

"I'm sorry I don't know her address but hey we can always find out you know? There are perks of being friends with a military guy" I practically gagged as I imagined him wink through the call.

"Yea yea sure do whatever you want but we have to find Mina today at any cost.. She might be in danger." I was concerned...

"Yea sure I ll come to pick you up in an hour"

"But why so early? It's just 4-"

"Nope its 7 already look at your watch" I did as he said and it was 7.

"Wow guess I spent way too much time talking to you."

"Yea and you called me up at 6, not 4 and that too on a Sunday" Jimin rambled through the phone.

"Yea all right now let me go," I spoke reluctantly to talk any further to this dumbo.

Finally, Jimin picked me up from my house and we both headed to minas place to check up on her.

"So you found her address?" I spoke while stuffing the bread-omelette in my mouth.

"Yea, somewhat, well I found where she was talking from since I tracked her call.."

"Looks like she was not in her home that time, instead she was talking at the road situated in front of her house.."

"Why was she outside of her house at 4"

"I don't know let's find out. that's what we're gonna do" Jimin spoke as he took a sharp left which made me spill my black coffee.

"My poor coffee."

"MY $3000 SEAT COVER!"

He looked at me ridiculously as we coincidently spoke at the same time.

And that's how we started bickering...

"You wasted my coffee!"

"You ruined my seat"

"You took a left turn so suddenly!"

"That's because we have to get there fast."

Finally, we came to a mutual agreement that we'd talk about this after we find out what happened to Mina.

Soon we reached the place.. more like the road on which she was supposedly talking earlier just to find out two police cars and a truck driver apologizing and a crowd of people surrounding them with phones recording the scene

We immediately stepped out of the car and walked towards the area trying to find Mina.

The scene in front of me became more clear as I tried to push past the people. The area was sealed and an outline of a female figure was drawn on the road with white chalk. There was a lot of blood on the road and as well as on the truck.

There were around three policemen who were investigating the crime scene as they collected any kind of evidence which was helpful. One of the policemen was holding a light pink scarf which looked similar to the one which Mina wore when she came to the reunion.

A sudden chill ran down my spine as I started panicking and started looking for Mina but she was nowhere to be seen.

I looked towards my right and found an elderly woman on the verge of tears and I tried to muster up my courage to speak to her about the incident.

"Excuse me, madam, Can you perhaps tell me what happened here?"

"My neighbour got hit by this truck driver and now she is in the hospital."

"Can you perhaps tell me her name" Jimin tried speaking to her while he simultaneously tried to get through the crowd of people?

"Mina"

Was all she spoke.

We finally reached the hospital she was admitted to.

"Hi is there a patient named Mina Sharon here?" Both I and Jimin spoke panting...

"Yes she is admitted to ward D-156, second floor, Northern block"

We rushed to the ward and went inside to find mina with on a drip and a doctor along with two nurses writing down her status on their clipboards.

The man turned around and spoke, "And you are?"

"We're her friends, can you tell her what happened to her?" I spoke up.

" I am sorry to say that your friend is in a coma. Treatment for people in a coma will depend on the severity and cause of the comatose state. Upon admittance to an emergency department, maintenance of the patient's respiration and circulation becomes the first priority. I would just say this that coma can is unpredictable.. she may wake up sooner than expected or it may take years for her to wake up. All you can do is to hope she wakes up early.."

The doctor patted him on his back and exited the ward along with the other two nurses while we both were left dumbfounded.

Anonymous' p.o.v

I quickly wore the white outfit from the nurses' locker and exited with her.

We headed to where Mina was admitted while she carried the drug and followed me.

The corridor was nearly empty. And my fellows had disabled the cameras for half a sufficient hour, hence we could peek in to see what was happening inside.

"Wait" I whispered to her while shaking my hand preventing her from entering the already occupied ward.

"They're in there, let them go first then we ll enter."

"How did they come there?"

"I don't know! It wasn't planned" I loudly whispered, enough for her to hear and gave her a death glare which made her shut up.

We finally saw the doctor patting him and turning around his heel to exit.

We hid in the janitor's room at the end of the corridor and waited for everyone to exit, especially those two lost fools.

"This was so weird. First Rena went missing and now Mina is in a coma. I hope everything is back to normal again" I heard Aera as she tried her best to speak while sobbing. What an attention seeker.

"Yea I hope everything returns to normal," Jimin spoke with a sad expression as he side hugged Aera to console her while they left. How pathetic

"I think we can come out now, I don't see anyone." The girl beside me spoke and I nodded.

We finally went straight to Mina's room and sat beside her.

"I'm sorry Mina, you were a good friend but I can't take a risk any more.. please don't wake up" I spoke. Numbness evident in my voice, Tears forming in my eyes which I knew would never fall.

"Pass me the drug." The previously empty syringe was now filled with an ocean blue drug.

I held Mina's pale hand and injected the drug into her.

And within a few seconds, I could notice a change...

The change which brought relief to me and my world.

The monitor which displayed Mina's heart rate was now soothing our ears with a long beep along with a simple flatline.
