I've been told that it turns people off when there are like three author's notes and a prologue before you even get to the story, but ha. Betcha haven't seen a pre-pre-prologue before.

Alright, I will freely admit that I'm writing this author's note just to stall. I'm not quite ready to put up the first bit of the story, but, like, I still want you to read my story. So here I am.

I'm gonna be totally honest with you here.

I've been doing a bit of browsing under the Doctor Who tag on Wattpad, and honestly - sorry guys - I haven't seen a lot of quality material. Which is fine, most people aren't too serious about editing and plot-building and such, half of them are just writing one-shots or imagines, and we're all just writing for fun here, aren't we?

But, like, I can't do that. I just - I can't. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Okay, I'm a major perfectionist. Which has pros and cons. I started writing this story purely to make myself happy, but it got super interesting and I think other people will enjoy it too, so I'm putting it together and making it fit for the public eye.

So the pros to my perfectionism are:
- this will be well edited and easy to read
- the story and plot sequence will make sense because I've gone over it a thousand times
- the characters will be strong and well-rounded, and true to the original (if applicable)
- basically I'm claiming that this story will fall into the top 10% of quality Doctor Who fanfics on this website.

And the cons, because I'm going to be honest with you all:
- I update when I want, which isn't always frequent
- I may never actually finish the story
- ...so all of the great things in the first list will be for naught.
