Chapter 1
~Two Weeks Later~
"Mia! You ready?" Josh asks, from downstairs. "Give me five more minutes!" I exclaim.
Today's the day, concert day. I pull my Anthem Lights hoodie over my Escape shirt, and hop downstairs.
"Bye Jaxon! Bye Meghan!" I exclaim, following Josh to the car.
I get in the front seat, and hook my phone up to the car. Before Josh even pulls out of the driveway, Anthem Lights is blasting.
My CD is secured safely in my pocket. And I'm ready to tackle this.
"Mia, this music is nice, but could you turn it down," Josh says. I grin, "Sure." I turn it down slightly, and sing along.
About twenty minutes later, after a Starbucks stop, Josh pulls up to the church. I hop out and race to the door.
"Where's your ticket?" The security guard asks. I blush remembering that Josh has the tickets. I back away, and run back to Josh.
He laughs, "What's wrong, kiddo, forget your ticket?" I roll my eyes, "Not funny Josh! Not funny!"
We get through the line, and into the room where the merch is. I decide to buy mine after the show, and run into the sanctuary to get a good seat.
Luckily, there's nobody in here, so I snag a front row seat. Josh stands next to me, clutching his camera.
Everybody crowds into the room, as Anthem Lights appears on the stage. They open up with 'Just Fall', then te guys talk.
"So glad to be here! You awesome!" Alan yells into his microphone. "You are awesome," Caleb corrects from nearby. Chad laughs, "Let's just sing the next song." Joey nods, "Yes, sing along guys!"
The intro to 'Coming Home' plays. Tears, unknowingly, stream down my face as the song plays. I sing along, praising God throughout the entire song.
Once I was broken, but now I'm mended, once I was king of my own land now my reign has ended, I bow my knee to the one who saved me, once I was dying on my own, but God this wandering soul is coming home
The song ends, and Josh passes me a tissue. I silently thank him, and wipe away my stray tears.
Alan's eyes lock on mine, and he looks concerned. I try to hide the fact that I was crying, but it's obvious.
Soon, Alan walks off to perform the rest of the show. I jump up and down, sing, and just have fun.
Afterwards, the meet&greet. Somehow I'm literally the last person in line. The line slowly inches forward, and what seems like an hour later, I'm standing in front of them.
You've got this Mia, don't be emotional. I try to convince myself, lets see how this works out.
"Hi guys, I'm Mia," I say softly. Alan opens his arms, and I hug him. "Nice to meet you," he whispers. I hug the rest of the guys too.
"Do you want us to sign anything?" Chad asks. I grin, "Maybe just my shirt, and my SnapBack." They all grin, and sign my items.
"I just wanna say thanks, you've impacted my life in a colossal way," I tell them. Caleb smiles, "You're very welcome, Mia!"
I give each of them another hug, and Josh snaps a photo of the five of us.
"It was nice to meet you, Mia. Hope to see you again soon," Joey says. I smile, and pull my CD out of my pocket. I hand it to Alan.
"Here's everything I couldn't say," I tell him. He cautiously grabs the CD and grins, "This is the most unique idea I've ever seen." I blush, "Thanks."
"Mia, lets go sweetheart!" Josh exclaims. "I gotta go. Love you guys so much," I gush. "Love you too, Mia, we'll be praying for you," Alan says.
Alan's POV
"Guys, lets listen to Mia's CD," I state. "But Alan we still have to pack up," Chad points out. "Guys, we need to listen."
We walk into the back room, and out the CD into the player and press play.
"Alan, Chad, Caleb, Joey,
I'm recording this CD to tell you all the things I won't get to tell you. You've changed my life, for the better. Before I found you guys, I was drifting away from God, but you showed me the way. Thank you for that. Your songs mean the world to me, and I don't know where I'd be without your touching lyrics. You've impacted my life in a huge way, and I'd be lost without you guys. Thank you for leading me back to God. I love you guys more than words can describe. Thanks again, from me Mia!"
The CD ends. I turn to the guys and find everybody wiping tears from their eyes. "It's moments like this that I'm glad we listened to God's call," Joey whispers. We all nod in agreement.
Everybody leaves to pack up, but I listen to it again. Mia is such an amazing person. I'm touched by her story. I need to find her. All I know is, she lives somewhere nearby. We leave tomorrow, I need to find her before then.
"Alan, are you going to help us?" Caleb asks. I nod, "Yep. I'm coming."
As I'm helping, I still think about Mia. I know a lot of our fans have had hard times, but I feel like I relate to Mia. I once had a time where I was battling with Satan, and I want to talk and minister to her. I have to find her before it's too late!
