ODESSA opened her eyes and expected to see the darkness that the pod had inflicted. Instead, she was met with bright white lights that only slightly made it hard to see. Two people were standing over her, only their faces were burly.

"She's in. Odessa, can you hear me?" Someone flashed a light in her eyes, her pupils shrinking and growing in size as they did so. "Pupillary reflex is good." The two gowned people snapped their fingers on each side on Odessa's ears. "Pinna response normal. How you feeling, Odessa."

"Dessa." Odessa spoke, looking between both the medical people. "Please."

"Welcome to your new body, Dessa." The two chuckled, and the woman said, smiling behind her mask that helped her breathe. Odessa held her hands above her face, eying the blue colours that marked her new skin. "Good!"

The male person, who was moving just as quickly as Odessa was. "Yeah, we're gonna take this nice an easy, Dessa."  Odessa say up slowly, and once she was sitting up right she swung her legs over the side of the bed. She wiggled her toes, watching with interest as she did so. "That's good, good! You're wiggling your toes. Are you feeling lightheaded or dizzy at all?"

Odessa shook her head, her long dark braided hair moving as she did so. "No, no. I'm good. No pain, no nothing."

The woman smiled brightly. "That's great, let's take it easy."

Odessa nodded, and turned slower this time. She looked over her shoulder, eyeing Jake as he was quick to stand up, the medical people panicking.

"Jake. Sit down. Jake! Jake for your own safety you need to sit back down! You have to take time to adjust to your avatar. Sedate him!"

Odessa watched from where she was as all the people tried to stop Jake from moving around. It didn't work because next thing Odessa could see was Jake pushing his way through a set of doors and into the outside.

"I'll get him!" Odessa stood and stumbled, but she managed to balance herself as she walked quickly towards the doors. All the lines and things connected to her fell to the ground with every step.

"Woah. Hey, guys!" Jake made his way through two people, or avatars playing basket ball. Jake ran, stumbling every few steps.

"Jake!" Odessa yelled out as she tried to run forward and catch Jake. She stumbled, but she managed to catch up. "Jake."

Jake whirled around, a grin plastered on his face. He was happy. He was running when everyone told him he couldn't. "Dessa! Isn't this awesome?"

"It is Jake, but slow, take it slow." Odessa tried to reach for Jake, but he moved out of the way and took a step forward.  "Jake, no."

"Let's go, Dessa!" Jake yelled out as he ran forward with a cheer. "Woo!"

NIGHTTIME came before Odessa could even realize she was being locked in a sleeping quarters in big human clothing.

She was laying in a hammock. She tried to close her eyes, and no matter what happened for the next little while, she couldn't fall asleep.
