I was listening to the weather report until the end while looking out the window. 

"When the first snow fell, I was very interested in visiting the Namsan Tower with my boyfriend. Hanging on his arm and walking everywhere. Hugging him when it's cold. Tasting hot coffee. Oh, he doesn't like coffee. Let's replace it with tea. A glass of fresh green tea would be even more delicious with a special Japanese sweet."

"Let's go."

"Where to?"

He asked while removing the headphones from his ears. His eyes were wide. Was he surprised? 

Isn't it strange when a girl he doesn't know says 'let's go'? That, too, while traveling on a bus.

I didn't laugh. He was also looking at my face. While he waited, I stuffed the childish novel in my hand into my bag. Yes, I was reading a book this long, and I didn't have a boyfriend. I'm still looking for someone who sees me as a good fit.

At that point, I was looking at the young boy sitting across from me. Like him, I was filling an empty back seat on the bus. Most importantly, this was the first time I had seen him, and he had seen me. He had a book in his hand, and I had already read its title.

"Let's go there."

I said while pointing my thumb at the book that was lying on his lap. That book had been doing just that for a long time, lying on his lap. Because, for so long, he had been leaning on the bus windowsill with his headphones in his ears.

As I pointed, he looked at the book.

"Paradise."

He said the title of the book aloud and looked at me and smiled. He had the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. I wanted to say it again. I wanted to see that again.

"To where?"

The same question, and the same answer. He asked this time, not as surprised as he had been before. He was smiling beautifully and looking at me. He looked like I was kidding. But I'm not kidding. I really want to go with him.

"Let's go to a place where there is no one. To a place where we can be happy."

"Hmm... Is there such a place?"

"Let's find out. Let's find paradise."

When I said this, the smile on his face disappeared. His face was as serious as mine. I thought he would help me find paradise as he owned a book about paradise.
