Chapter Eighty Nine

Evee tried her best to keep her eyes open at the early morning of Christmas. Harry and her had a wonderful Christmas Eve last night. She had stepped into Sandringham Estate for the very first time and she thought it was absolutely marvelous. Before the dinner, Harry and his father walked along the gardens with William, Catherine and the children, just talking. Evee didn't even think about last Christmas, it seemed so far away.

She had called her parents before dinner, wishing them a Happy Christmas, ensuring them that she was safe and sound and she couldn't wait to see them in a little less than two months. Evee was kind of glad for Sonja's etiquette lessons when she sat along the table with the whole royal family during dinner. The Queen had been nothing but nice and the family even toasted to the upcoming wedding.

It was just now that she noticed the small downside of being part of the Royals. Waking up early on Christmas morning to go attend a church ceremony. The whole ordeal of going through make-up and hair at seven in the morning wasn't her way of waking up on Christmas morning. She finally realized then that she probably would have to do this for the rest of her life.

She had entered the St Mary Magdalene Church with a little wave towards the crowd and Harry's hand on her lower back. It was now, listening to the sounds of the organ that she had trouble keeping her eyes open. Everybody was apparently singing along gracefully along with the choir, she seemed to be the only one who had to look at the papers to mouth along the words.

In the middle of the song, Evee could see Harry holding back laughter when she missed a part and mouthed the wrong words. It was then that she decided that couldn't happen on their wedding day and she would study the whole program of songs.

Harry was wearing a long black coat that actually matched hers quite well. Evee's royal blue dress hung with much grace around her curves, the only thing bothering her was the damn fascinator perched on top of her head. It wasn't a bad one, really. It seemed as if Anna finally knew that Evee didn't like the extravagant feather like fascinators. This one was just a sober black hat.

The prince on the other hand didn't mind the fascinator at all and for once, he didn't actually laugh at her. He thought she looked really good. He could tell that she lost a couple of pounds by the way her dress clung on her frame but he learned in the first months of their relationship to actually never comment on a woman's weight. He knew she was trying her best to look good for the wedding. Harry honestly didn't feel like it was necessary, he liked her curves, he never thought of her as fat. She was a woman, he always adored her curves. When she elegantly shrugged off her coat in church, he couldn't help but let his eyes wonder on her backside. Thankfully, no weight was lost on that department.

"You look good, Wales." He heard her mumble in his ear.

Trying not to grin in church, he edged his head closer to her head. "Want an exclusive repeat of last night?" He teasingly whispered, hoping no one would hear.

Harry tried not laugh when he noticed her red stained cheeks, "Are you trying to shag in every estate your grandmother owns?"

"We haven't had Buckingham." He answered, whispering.

Evee's eyes widened as she stared ahead, watching the bishop speak but not really administrating the words. "That is not happening."

"I've got plenty of balcony scenes in my head." He spoke a little louder this time, trying to hold back laughter when he saw her shocked face.

They immediately stopped talking when she heard William coughing next to them. It seemed as if they were caught a little red handed by her brother in law. Not that any of this would come as a surprise for him. They tried to continue respectfully focusing on the ceremony in front of them but both had to hold back laughter. "You're such an idiot." Evee whispered, leaning closer once again.

"No, you are." Harry spoke, rolling his eyes at her.

"I think you both are." The blonde's eyes widened as Kate turned towards them with a held back grin. "Now, shh."

"Yeah, shh." George spoke, leaning towards the couple alongside his mother.

The rest of the ceremony was spend trying to ignore one another but still having difficulty holding back laughter. It made Harry realize how glad he was that Evee was actually there. He remembered asking his grandmother's permission to marry her just last year and here she sat with him, being everything he imagined her to be. He realized this was the most fun a church ceremony had ever been.

When the church ceremony finally ended and they marched behind William, Kate and the kids outside, they locked eyes once again and laughed. "If you do that to me on our wedding day, I will have to kill you, you know." Evee mumbled in Harry's ear.

"You're the one starting it, you said I looked good." The prince shrugged, holding back a grin and grabbing her hand in his.

"You brought up last night!" She whispered harshly.

"Well it was really good, you know." He shrugged. Evee tried not to remember their activities, since they were now in public and she was certain the images of them fucking on a vanity would make her red cheeked.

"Of course it was but now's not the place." The blonde answered, eyeing Harry's grandfather in front of her and giving him a big smile like she didn't actually plant her naked bum on their marble vanity table.

"You're right, but those suspenders, damn."

"Haha." Evee grinned, a fake smile on her lips. "I'm just going to pretend you said something incredibly charming." Her cheeks were hurting as she followed the crowd of the small stairs and on to the pavements.

"Are you happy the ceremony is over, though?" Harry spoke, waving at the crowd with his left hand, his right still planted in Evee's.

"It was alright. It wasn't that bad." She eyed Kate leaving William's side to say hello to the public, Charlotte walking next to her. George was with William. "We should probably split and say hello as well."

"Okay. Keep close." Harry spoke to her, a little concerned that Bob wasn't right beside her this time. "Don't take too long, they move on quite quickly."

"I won't." She smiled at him and let go of his hand. She immediately stepped closer towards the crowd, the cords separating them both. She tried to balance her feet on her tips, not letting her heels sink into the wet grass. She watched how the other members walked further, waving at everyone, occasionally replying 'Happy Christmas'.

Evee watched how one woman wanted to hand her flowers and she stepped closer, a wide grin on her face. "Happy Christmas." She spoke to the elder lady nodding her head. "Are these for me?"

"They are." The woman beamed, handing over the small bouquet of flowers. "You look beautiful."

"They're lovely. Thank you very much." The blonde grinned, placing the flowers in her elbow and walking further. She watched in the corner of her eye how Harry accepted a few gifts as well but turned her attention back towards the crowd.

"Evee!" "Evee!" She smiled, waving at everybody. She watched how Harry walked closer to her and waited. By the time he reached her, she already had four bouquets of flowers under her arms. She felt him put his left arm on her lower back, guiding her further.

They finally marched together down the pavements, stepping closer to the cars. Every once and a while, Evee would leave his side to receive another gift. She just couldn't walk past a child and not say hello. "Happy Christmas." She waved once again, watching how her fiancée did the same.

When they caught up with the rest of the family, Evee had already passed most of the gifts towards some bodyguards she didn't personally know. James and Bobby were spending Christmas with their families.

"You're getting good at this." Harry grinned stepping inside the car behind Evee. "You did really well. I'm glad you're here."

She felt him squeeze her knee in reassurance. "I am glad as well. Much better than last year."

"It is, isn't it? Makes me wonder how next year will look like." He gave her an anticipating smile.

"I guess time will tell." She smiled, waving another last time at the crowd through the window.

"I hope you'll be 20 pounds fatter." Harry grinned, implying the hope of her being pregnant next year.

"Harry!"

"I meant you know." He used his hands to show a bump on his own stomach. "When do you want to start babies anyways?"

"Is this really a conversation that needs to be happening now?" She raised her eyebrows at him. Even though people weren't watching them anymore and they were moving along the road, she couldn't help but still get nervous at the baby talk.

"You always seem to do that when I bring up children, trying to change the subject. We've never spoken of it."

"I'm just-" Evee sighed. "I'm honestly, really nervous for the wedding and I want to focus on that part for now. Of course I want children, Harry. I wouldn't want anything more than have a little ginger or blonde baby." Evee smiled, reassuring her fiancée by grabbing his hand.

"Me too. When though? Do you want to wait another year after the wedding, just to get used to things or..."

She knew Harry wanted some answers and she knew she hadn't been really open on that department. This wasn't really the place to talk about it, in a car drive towards Sandringham Estate, but she felt bad for throwing him off the subject once again. "When do you want that?"

It was a stupid question really, she knew the answer already. "You know what I want."

Evee nodded her head and looked him in the eye with a smile, "Then we'll do that. You gave me a long engagement, I can give you this. We just have to be careful for the dates. It cannot happen before the wedding."

"So after the wedding, we'll just let nature do its work?" He eagerly spoke with excitement.

"We'll just let nature do its work." She smiled at him, nodding her head and squeezing his hand one last time.

By the looks of his wide smile and exciting eyes, she thought it was the best Christmas gift she could give him, really.

Author's note: urgh I want ginger babies. By the way the wedding invitation is at the bottom of this chapter. The countdown can begin! Just 10 more chapters!

You're all invited by the way. Please do not respond. Don't write a reply to the State Invitations Secretary because they'll ask questions, might even inform poor Harry about a lunatic woman and then this woman will have to move to Mexico and I won't have time to finish this story because I'm on the run. So don't. Leave me a comment by the way, I spent a lot of time with my Microsoft Paint skilzzzz.
