minho was speechless.

he never thought he'd see his dad again.

jiyoung looks back at minho, who was stunned. he was frozen in shock and made no movements whatsoever.

jiyoung gets out of the car to go up to minjae, while minho was about to follow her until jisung grabs his arm and pulls him into his own arms.

"stay with me" jisung pulls away and looks into his eyes. "just stay with me and don't interact with him"

minho nods and hugs him.

"what the fuck are you doing here!?" she slaps him. "I told you not to come back here minjae!"

"I wanted to see my son again"

"well that's just too bad! I'm not having you talk to him and get close with him just to watch him get hurt again I can't see him like that again!"

"please jiyoung—"

"stay away from here, stay away from us"

"but you guys are my family..."

"families don't walk out on each other!" she slaps him again. "you may be his biological father but I wish you weren't, I really wish you weren't"

"can I just say something please!?"

"what?" she crosses her arms.

"I panicked! I... I didn't know how to react to minho being gay... but... I can assure you that I don't hate him! I love him... I—"

"where were you for two years then!?" minho gets out of the car.

"minho..."

"if you really loved me... you wouldn't have left in the first place! you would've stayed here! just go away we don't want you here anymore!" minho runs inside the house as tears fall down his cheeks, jisung goes in after him.

"go away minjae" jiyoung crosses her arms. "I don't care if you're his father, I'm his mother and as his mother I can't see him hurt"

she goes back inside and slams the door shut.

"why did he have to come back? why!?" minho cries in jisung's arms.

"probably to see you"

"I don't want him here anymore, I don't want anything to change. everything's perfect now"

"it's okay, your mom will take care of him, she understands what you went through" jisung strokes his hair.

there's a knock at the door, and it's jiyoung.

"are you okay honey?"

"not now, but I will be"

"jisung... can I have a moment alone with him?" she looks at jisung who nods and gets up to leave the room.

she takes jisung's place and hugs him.

"mom... why... did he come back?"

"it doesn't matter why he came, because he won't come back anymore I'll make sure of it"

"are you okay?" minho looks at her.

"yeah, why are you asking?"

"well he's your ex husband... and... it might be weird to see him again that's all"

"I'm okay don't worry"

there's a knock on the door, jisung comes back in.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but there's something I need to tell you both" he comes in and sits next to minho.

"what is it?" minho asks.

"well since my parents are gone... taejin asked me if me and my sister wanted to live with him..."

"he lives... far away..." jiyoung says.

"I know, but we need somewhere else to live. we can't be in that house much longer since the owners are in jail... we'll be kicked out anyway"

"did you answer him?" minho asks.

"no... I told him I would ask you first"

"why?"

"because you're my boyfriend and I want it to be okay with you, we won't see each other as much since we aren't next door neighbors anymore"

"that's okay, you deserve to live with someone who actually loves you" minho sits up.

"really?"

"yes, and your sister should have some sort of a father figure while she's still little enough" jisung hugs minho.
