4. Meet Vansh
As soon as the manly figure woke up, his hands searched for something on the table and very soon found it. A pair of round glasses with black borderlines. Stretching himself he yawned and smiled as the sunlight fell on half of his face.
He opened the window to see 2 dogs playing with each other, who immediately looked at him through the window and barked; running inside.
He stepped downstairs and sat in the garden, it has been raining in night and the sunlight gave warmth which felt nice.
"Good morning Vansh, here is your tea." A lady said handing him a cup of tea, which he sipped at hummed at the taste.
"Good morning boss, today we have to go to check the bunglow construction at Bhopal." A man came up inside and said looking at the piece of paper in his hand.
"Hmm. What about the letter I wrote? Did any reply come back?" He said taking off his glasses and continued sipping the tea at a slow pace.
"As per my thought it would have reached by now, maybe reply would come back. I beg you pardon but is it something important?" He asked.
"Angre..why are you being so formal man...just be cool and calm. No need for such 'formalities'. And about the letter, till now it isn't important." Vansh said as he went to the kitchen and kept the cup in the sink.
"Isn't it independence day today?" Vansh asked and Angre replied with a yes.
"After returning from Bhopal first we will go to Delhi to meet Sia, then come back home. Get a ticket for me... And send the donations too..it's 15."
He wasn't a rich man as his ancestors were, but he was kind hearted enough to be rich with everyone's love. Thanks to his parents, who raised him with such efforts.
"Is the car ready?" Vansh asked as he cleaned his glasses with his shirt, and put them back looking at Angre.
"Yes everything is good, we will leave as soon as you get ready." Angre said with a small grin.
"Yeah yeah. I am going to get ready now." Vansh said and went back inside with the newspaper in his hands.
"He went with the newspaper? Now it's one and half hours" the lady said and Angre giggled.
"I heard that!" Vansh stated going upstairs.
"That's why I said!" She replied and all of them laughed.
Clearing he glasses Vansh sets it on his nose, looking outside. It's independence day today... He thought and saw the wet roads splashing water to whoever was roaming near the car, saying beautiful words to the driver.
"How much time will it take to reach bhopal?" Vansh asked feeling irritated, he has been sitting in the car for a whole hour.
"Sir it's a 6 hour journey. You can relax yourself till then." The driver replied and Vansh glared and Angre.
"Couldn't you just take a ticket of train or something?" Vansh said gritting his teeth.
"Hehe..um..I think it's too late now.. hihi" Angre said with a weird tone.
"Don't haha hihi infront of me! You know I hate being in cars for long." Vansh said, a little louder than before.
"Your..your father wanted us to have a hault in Udaipura to have a look at the old house." Angre said, being a little irritated.
Vansh sighed, it was nothing he could say. Independence day with no independence. He thought, and looked out of the window.
Udaipura was the place Vansh was born and brought up, later he moved to Jabalpur for his higher studies and still resides there. He wasn't a big, but a self made businessman. He took no help of his parents to set up his own tours and travels, which has now extended to various hotels and restaurants. At the end of the day, he was living a peaceful life yet forced by his parents for, of course, 'marriage'.
With all these thoughts in mind, Vansh decided to have a little sleep, maybe that's how he could ignore his untold motion sickness.
Feeling a large crash, Vansh opened his eyes which were heavy by now, looking around with a blur vision he realised something has happened, he could sense people gathering around and he was pulled out of the car.
Some locals helped in picking him up, stuffing into another car and taking him to a hospital. He felt himself sweating a lot, he weak but atleast alive. He wiped his forehead, it was blood dripping down from his forehead which he was considering sweat till now.
He looked all over himself, not much but spots of blood allover. Where was Angre? And the driver? Before he could think or gather energy to ask, Vansh passed out.
Opening his eyes, he found himself on the hospital bed with Angre sitting near him. The accident wasn't fatal, and the most injured was Vansh.
"Where are we?" Vansh half-whispered to Angre and sat on the bed. There were some deep cuts maybe, he wasn't in pain for now.
"Udaipura boss, luckily." Angre said.
"Luckily my foot, is the driver fine?" Vansh asked and Angre nodded.
"WAS I THE ONLY DAMN ONE TO GET HURT!?" He shouted in irritation, he didn't even knew why he was so frustrated.
"Actually yes, it was the back of the car which got crashed." Angre said touching the scars on his hand.
As an hospital is always expected to be, it was full of people hurrying, crying, and running all over. Vansh took a look all over the ward, there were just injured people. He sighed with the thought that atleast no one would crying there.
"When are we leaving?" Vansh asked Angre, who was lost somewhere else.
"Hmm? Oh. By night." Angre said. "We have reached Udaipura, so there is no hurry now. I have checked up everything and we will spend our night at home."
"Spend our night at home" Vansh mimicked "what is it Diwali? You know I hate that pla-"
"Please hurry up" A woman said entering inside, followed by a stretcher and a girl behind weeping, but trying to control herself.
"Agh...here we go" Vansh murmured rolling his eyes.
But then, he looked at the boy. He was unconscious and his head was bleeding badly, the doctor and nurses gathered up giving him injections and bandaged all his wounds.
"He is fine now. No need to worry. Just make sure to do the payment." The nurse said to the girl and left.
She nodded and sat next to the unconscious boy, wiping her tears she stood up and went away.
"Vansh!" Angre exclaimed.
"Yeah what." Vansh muttered.
"Why were you staring at her?" Angre asked.
"I wasn't. I was just looking at... everything." Vansh said.
