" This is going to need stitches. Kix rotated her arm slightly.
Ahsoka groaned and pulled away, not trying to be rude, but clearly too upset to do anything. She sat there, staring at Rex with a glare while Kix continued to examine it. " I think I'm fine. A few bacta patches and I'm good " she closed her eyes. Kix shook his head slightly.
" I'm sorry General, but this is a deep wound. If it does not get stitched up now, you run the chance of getting a serious infection. " Kix walked over to a small tray, already preparing a needle. Rex watched sharply from the corner.
She was upset that he had taken her away from the fight, only to drag her back aboard the ship to get help, help she refused to get. Nobody told him Jedi were so stubborn. Maybe it wasn't a common trait, but Ahsoka sure had it.
" No, no, it's fine. I'm fine Kix. I'm tired and need to write up a few reports. Let's just say this never happened and go about our day " she shook her head standing up to leave. Kix looked confused at how adamant she was to leave. She was never like this, if anything she was apologizing for ' wasting his time '.
Ahsoka started for the door just as if nothing had happened at all. Rex glared at her from all the way in the corner, but that didn't seem to phase her at all. " Thank you Kix " Ahsoka smiled and waved to the confused clone.
Ahsoka whipped back around, trying to quickly exit the room. But she ran smack into Rex. " I'm sorry Commander, but General Skywalker specifically had me take you back to get medical attention. I can't let you leave until Kix is finished " he stood his ground. Ahsoka knew he was given orders, but that never really stopped him from doing the right thing. She just wanted to leave and sleep.
Maybe make him feel a bit guilty for peeling her away from the fight. "You know Rex-" Ahsoka started. Suddenly the door to the med center opened. Jedi Master Plo Koon entered. He carried himself with a calm and wise demeanor. "Padawan Soka, I heard that you had been injured. "
Shaking her head Ahsoka responded, "Yes I was Master Koon, actually Kix here was about to patch me up. Weren't you Kix?"
The confused medic stared at her for a second before shaking his head quickly, trying to look professional in front of his superior. "Uhh, yes sir." He turned back and fumbled with the needle in his hands. Rex looked down at the Padawan with a smirk.
" I win " he mouthed. Ahsoka grumbled, throwing a shoulder into him as she walked past. Looking up Rex noticed Plo Koon looked confused but didn't think too much of it. If Ahsoka was in a mood she was always like that. Rex stepped aside, nodding his head politely for the Jedi that followed Ahsoka.
" So, what happened to the happy trio? " Ahsoka questioned, sitting down on the Hover-stretcher. Plo seemed happy to share.
" We're not completely sure. Master Obi-Wan was able to do some damage to General Grevious, but once the men had gotten past most of the droids, they ran. " Plo looked down at Ahsoka, standing by her side.
Kix came around to her hurt arm and looked at it one last time. He didn't need to even tell her, she had gotten more stitches than the medic could count.
Ahsoka hummed. " That was a very irregular move. They usually travel one at a time, not in a pack. I'm not sure what their intentions are. The force was trying to tell me something, but it was clouded and fuzzy. I'm not sure but there was something I was... I was just missing. " She looked up to the Jedi knight for guidance.
Plo placed a hand on her unhurt shoulder. " The dark side of the force surrounds almost everything now Little Soka. Meditate and clear your mind. The force works in mysterious ways and if it truly wills, it will show you the answers. " He took a seat beside her.
Ahsoka let out a sigh. " I just wish I could help more. I could barely find the strength to fight Ventriss. Sometimes I feel unequipped to be a Jedi. Like I'm lacking something. There are so many more skilled padawans, but you chose me. " she flinched slightly as Kix pulled at the stitches in her arm.
Plo Koon looked at her softly. " One sith is difficult themselves, but three is truly overwhelming. Especially to a Padawan. You were able to hold them off and in one piece Little Soka. And I wouldn't want anyone other than you. When I first saw you, the force radiated through you. Just by seeing your smile, I saw purity and strength. I knew from that point on, you would be the perfect padawan " He intertwined his fingers. Ahsoka still looked a bit discouraged but overall felt a bit better.
Right on cue door swung open. Ahsoka could feel who they were. And one of them didn't seem the happiest. " Hello master " she put on a fake smile, catching his glare. Obi-Wan trailed behind Anakin his robe still snowy.
"Hello Ahsoka, care to explain why you were so reckless out there?" Anakin furiously asked.
"Excuse me?" Ahsoka said. "I was hardly reckless compared to you! Who does kriffing flips while fighting sith?" she crossed her arms looking down upset. Ahsoka wanted to apologize but she felt her anger and frustration bubble in the back of her mind.
Rex looked at her confused. Ahsoka never exploded like that unless she was stressed or upset. She would never do that. Especially not in front of her master and two other Jedi. The room became silent, except for the sound of Kix armour shifting as he stitched together the wound.
Anakin opened his mouth to speak but Obi-Wan placed a hand on his shoulder. " Anakin. Please keep in mind, Ahsoka is your padawan. Reckless behavior is your specialty " he smiled. " Trust me. I know " he looked at Anakin with wise eyes. The Jedi felt himself cool down enough to face his padawan. Obi-Wan was right. She learned it all from him, especially the stubbornness.
" Ahsoka, I know you want to be in the action. I know you want to be able to fight and prove yourself. But not at the risk of you being hurt. If I would have known all three of them would show up, I would have never let you come. Your safety is not only your responsibility but mine as well. And being truthful, I don't always make the rashest decisions. You have to be able to look past me and make the right decisions when it's needed, but safely. "
Ahsoka didn't respond, but through her bond, she sent a small wave of understanding and calm. Kix quickly finished bandaging his work then stood up. " Good as new sir " he slightly smiled, feeling relaxed enough to break protocol. Ahsoka glanced up. " Thank you, Kix, for everything. "
She looked to Rex but then looked back to the Jedi. " I understand masters. Thank you for your alarm and generosity. " she stood up and bowed. " Any time Snips " Anakin chuckled. Ahsoka smirked. Quickly she gave each Jedi a hug before turning to them. " I promised the men I would do something with them " she smiled, bowing once again before running out of the bay.
Anakin let out a breath and turned to Rex. " Thank you Captain" he shook the clone's hand.
" Yes sir. Just doing my duty "
" I don't know where she would be without you. I've trusted you with her more times I care to count "
" She's strong that for sure. Sometimes her stubbornness likes to shine through more. "
" She is a handful, isn't she. "
" Yes Sir "
