Ahsoka mumbled. It was cold, and she could feel the familiar sting of her stitches pulling at her skin. Her head was a bit jumbled and her throat was dry, a stale taste still resonating in her mouth. It was quiet, the sound of emptiness confusing her slightly. Ahsoka poked open one eye, but quickly closed it as a bright light shone at her.

The Togruta shook off lingering tiredness and forced herself to sit up. Opening her eyes fully, she winced but quickly looked beside her. There was a blanket, and Rex helmet, but not Rex. She slumped.

" I'm still on this popsicle, '' she whispered to herself, rubbing her eyes tiredly. With the little she could hear, Ahsoka listened to two identical voices talking back and forth to each other. Rex must have already gotten up.

She shivered slightly at the temperature and pulled the now cold blanket back over her shoulders. Her body ached, and her mind was a blur, but she wanted to know where Rex was. Shakily pushing herself up, Ahsoka made it out from the tent, swaying straight to the left. She stumbled to the ground and hit her arm in the process. The Jedi let out a small yipe, before looking back up towards the front of the cave.

It was so close, yet so far. She rasped Rex's name but in the back of her mind, she knew it wasn't loud enough. Struggling to her feet again, Ahsoka's vision blurred in and out. She wanted Rex.

Grappling into her hurt arm, Ahsoka stumbled forward, growing closer and closer to the light. She felt the even colder air hit her face, as her vision started to fade.

She could hear Rex's voice close but her feet were starting to fail. She felt herself trip slightly but caught herself just before she toppled over.

Ahsoka could see a blurry concerned clone at her side but quickly noticed the blue handprint on his armor. It wasn't Rex. She whimpered slightly at the sting of her arm and stared at the clone in front of her.

She listened to the indistinct chatter between the two before Rex turned around and opened his arms for her. Ahsoka tipped forward and landed right on his chest.

" Commander, you're supposed to be resting " Ahsoka could barely make out the words. She shook her head, trying to get her feet to cooperate in an effective way. Ahsoka could sense the concern flowing through Rex, his eyes glued to Echo, trying to portray confusion. Ahsoka snapped up, finally figuring out what the captain was trying to do. Ahsoka sighed. Rex was a terrible liar.

The Captian looked at her for a second, before turning back to Echo. He still cared, but couldn't do anything rash with his brother watching.

" At least sit down " Rex grabbed her hand as she complied happily. Sitting on the cold stone, Ahsoka lost focus on Rex and instead, gazed out into the bright white landscape of snow and ice. It was mixed with accents of tan, but she was too tired to investigate what it could be. Snowflakes fell from the sky fluttering to the ground. Ahsoka found a calming beauty to them.

A sudden headache overcame the Jedi. She grumbled for a second, before looking up, trying to take her mind off the throbbing pain.

Ahsoka held her head in her hand. " What-. What happened? Was I really that asleep? " She asked tiredly. Rex sat down next to her and nodded his head. Echo quickly clicked his tongue afterward.

" You missed all the action commander. Grievous being the generous cyborg he is, sent us a squad of clankers. Wasn't much but, it was enough to scare the living daylights out of Fives. I'm pretty sure he's never going to sleep again " Echo chuckled. Rex stared at him silently.

" You have to cut him some slack. He was the first one to react. Saved both you and Jesse " Rex placed a hand in the air. Echo thought about it but nodded his head in return. " I guess I do. "

The two clones chatted back and forth. Ahsoka was slowly being able to interpret what they were saying. The headache throbbed on, making her want to go back to sleep to relieve some of the pain. But instead, she blocked out the voices of the clones, looking out back to the snow. Layers of exhaustion and dizziness started to fade from her head. The snow was comforting but it made her feel cold. She shivered slightly, looking over to Rex beside her.

" Do we have any caf? " She asked. Rex did his ' we better have ' face. Everything went quiet. The ARC trooper took a backpack from his side, digging around in it quietly. After a long second Echo shook his head. Rex grumbled, rubbing a hand over his face. " The one thing Kix didn't  think to pack "

Ahsoka chuckled. Rex got grumpy without his daily cups of coffee. He would return to the resolute and chew Kix out for it, before drinking enough to make him sleepless. Ahsoka herself was cold and tired but had dealt with it before. She would save the Caf for Rex. Echo started to ramble about how Rex drank too much coffee anyway. And how he needed a ' break'.

Even in the midst of a small fight between the two brothers, the snow called back to Ahsoka. She looked over back to the snow, as a sense of security and tranquility washed over her.

It was calming. It was quiet. It felt different than the busy trips she was used to taking. Closing her eyes gently, Ahsoka let herself relax, finding a space between the real world and the force. It was dark, and yet, it made her feel light and strong. Her energy seemed to replenish the more and more she sank into the force.

It was quiet mostly, a few voices talked through the bonds she shared with fellow Jedi. With nothing else to do, she brushed on her bond with Anakin, quickly catching his attention.

" Hey Skyguy, how's it going? " She smiled. Anakin quickly responded through the bond.

" Nothing much Snips. Just finished sealing off the attack. I just got the news and from what I hear we're heading back to Coruscant tonight. Make sure to tell the boys, and tell Rex to meet me on the Resolute. We need to discuss... Business. '' Ahsoka gulped. That didnt sound good.

" Of course " she sunk back to her display of bonds. She looked around and noticed that Plo was meditating. It felt as if he was right in front of her. He seemed to be deep in thought, but at the same time, in total peace. Ahsoka thought about talking but decided against it.

Looking at Obi-Wan she listened to a conversation he was having with Ki Adi Mundi. One thing Ahsoka had come to notice was that Obi-Wan was all business. He had trained her master, but the two were like the light and dark side of the force. Anakin was all in and sometimes made some rash decisions. Obi-Wan was careful, conserved, and always looked at the conflict before jumping in.

Ahsoka had heard conversations between the two joking about how Anakin was still the same since the first time he found him. But Obi-Wan wasn't one for talking about his past. Something was hidden from her, and Ahsoka didn't dare to dig deeper.

" I hope this conflict can be resolved in a civil matter. '' Obi-Wan stood confidently. Ahsoka laughed slightly at Master Mundi's disinterested face.

" Ahsoka, I know you're there. '' Obi-Wan did a mental eyeroll. Ahsoka jumped and quickly broke away from the bond. Ahsoka made a mental note to be careful around him.

Looking at the few other bonds she had, Ahsoka sighed. There wasn't much she could do. But she felt strong, almost refreshed through the force. It was a powerful thing, a blessing, and a curse. Ahsoka couldn't decide if she was special or just unfortunate.

Feeling the world fade from around her, the Togruta felt the chill of the cold return. She gently opened her eyes, blinking from the strain the light had on her. The white snow once again drifted down from the sky, falling onto the cold stone. It took a minute for her hearing to finally come back, as she turned to the clone that still sat by her.

Both Jesse and Fives had woken up and joined the original group around the small fire. Fives was of course close to Echo, and Jesse just peacefully lounged on the opposite side of them. She blinked a few times, looking up to Rex.

" There you are. " he smiled.

Ahsoka looked at him confused. " What do you mean? " She asked, as Fives butt in.

" You were sitting there for over half an hour. No emotion, not a word. Almost asleep, " he shrugged. Ahsoka nodded in realization.
" Time is much different when I'm meditating. A few seconds could be a few hours in reality. You don't notice. " The Jedi stretched slightly. The clones looked at her in fascination for a moment but turned back to their private conversations.

Ahsoka looked at Rex's face. He looked slightly tired, and grumpy from the lack of caf but he also looked gentle and protective. His brown eyes watched everything play out, and made sure nothing got out of hand. Ahsoka slumped, sighing to herself. She wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

Rex was her true love. Ahsoka had heard stories about strange or forbidden love that often ended tragically. But this couldn't. And if it did, she would stop at nothing to get him back. Rex was more than just a clone. He was everything she would have wanted and more. Turning back to the others with a loving smile, Ahsoka placed a hand down for support. But instead of hitting the cold stone her hand landed right on top of Rex's. Ahsoka looked down in confusion. It took a second for Rex to notice but when he did he flinched, mere inches from pulling away.

Ahsoka could feel his feelings contradicting each other. Rex looked down at her with a worried face.

" It's ok " she mouthed, looking over to the other distracted clones. Rex looked at her desperately.

" I promise " she nodded, squeezing his hand for some form of reassurance.

The captain seemed to calm surprisingly fast, returning to watch his brothers. Ahsoka perked up, forgetting something she was supposed to share.

" Oh, I forgot, SkyGuy wanted me to tell all of you that we were heading back to Coruscant later tonight. I guess the planet has been secured for now " She bounced up happily. Fives cheered and it seemed to put Jesse in a better mood than before. Ahsoka could even feel the pressure leaving Rex's shoulders.

" I called in transport, they should be here soon. We won't get far with all this snow " Echo stared outside the cave. Ahsoka was relieved.

No more popsicle ice planets. She could finally go home.
