Slowly each frozen tear
Like a memory suspended here
Floats down like snow
Over all I've known and dreamed
That we could be

This hidden green
Like what's left of all I've seen
Of your sweet life
Cuts like a knife inside
And tries to take you from me

With all the pain it brings

I dig up this snow and ice
I look and then look twice

I pick it up and try to draw it closed

Once it was black but now it's green
