A rain of emotions
Hinata spent the whole weekend in her room. She called her parents first thing in the morning and had a heated argument with the both of them on a conference call. She accused them of being unfair and horrible parents for doing this. This referring to her engagement. She also accused them of being the reason she had a difficult life before and now they had messed up her life even here.
The result had been an awkward Hiashi, an almost crying Hana and a yelling Hinata who hung up on them. They had called back many times but she never answered. She either wrote away in her diary or listened to songs. Neji had tried talking to her too but she kicked him out of her room. She honestly did not want to face him.
She didn't know why she was so angry. Maybe it was because she was engaged to Sasuke! She had been eager to meet her fiancé before it had turned out to be him.
The stoic jerk? The grumpy basketball player? The popular kid? The boy who gave her a much needed ride? The boy she had kissed while she was drunk? They guy who played video games with her in his room?
She shook her head...she was confused. She was also angry because the both of them didn't want this. Sure, he wasn't that bad if he tried but that was it. He did not want to try. He also was angry with this arrangement. And besides, he was right. They had to live like normal teens and it had been unfair of their parents to do that to them.
She ended up talking to Ino over the phone, telling her was simply angry because of some family matters. Ino had comforted her and it had helped but only a little.
It was Monday and she had to go to school now. She got dressed and walked downstairs, where Neji was still not dressed for school. He was pacing anxiously in the living room. He stopped when he saw her.
She raised her eye brow when he opened his mouth to speak. "Hinata, please forgive me. I know you're mad but I was helpless. It was never my intention to hurt you." He said, shaking his hands and moving towards her.
"Whatever Neji, it still did." She said, casting him a withering look.
"Hinata, I'm leaving for the exchange week. Please talk to me before I go. So if I die by any chance, it will be knowing that you forgave me." He begged.
Hinata's face softened and before she knew it, she was hugging him. "It's alright. Just stop being so dramatic" She said, smiling a little. He happily hugged her back, happy that she was so kind and thanking all those dramatic seasons he had watched.
"Anyways, I'll go to school now. Call me regularly and be safe." She said, kissing his cheek. He smiled and watched her walk out of the house. She now wondered whether she should call a friend or just take the subway when a car pulled up in front of her.
Wait a minute....was that? "Get in." was the command. Yup...it was definitely Sasuke's car Rai. Only he could be so demanding all the time. It was like the time in his room never happened.
"Why are you here?" she asked instead, glaring at him. Had Naruto sent him again? How? She had not even told him.
"My mother sent me to be your driver for the week or something." He said in a monotone.
"You actually agreed?" she asked, her eyes widening.
"Only because she's paying me a lot of money." Sasuke rolled his eyes. He didn't want to get her hopes up or anything.
"Of course." she said as she slid into the passenger seat. To be honest, he had agreed so his mother would stop nagging him on how as her fiancé it was his duty to help her out. Of course, there was money involved but he was already filthy rich, he didn't need any more money.
He started the car and the radio was already on and Hinata was humming along to a song. He sighed and drove the car towards the school. He didn't know if it was a good idea to mention the whole dinner thing.
They were both still dazed by it. They drove to school in silence. "You don't have to do this. I'll ask Naruto to give me a ride or I'll take the subway. I'll even learn to drive." She said, looking at him when he stopped the car in the parking lot.
"You're house is in my way. It's whatever." He said, annoyed at her being so considerate. Why? Girls would die to spend time with him.
"Still, it's totally fine." She said, getting out of her car along with her bag pack. He locked the car with the remote and stepped out. She was already a lot of distance ahead of him. He sighed. He was too tired to deal with this right now.
_______________
Sasuke panted before gulping the water down his throat. He took a deep breath and saw Naruto, who was also panting and red in the face. That was an intense practice. Sasuke had to admit, he felt really glad though.
Turned out, Neji would not be able to attend this match due to something about an exchange week? So Sasuke was the captain in his absence and Suigetsu was on the team again. They were all playing great and at this rate, winning against Cloud High was no big deal.
They were sitting in the bleachers, panting, sweating and drinking water. Sasuke noticed Naruto coming to sit next to him, grinning. "That felt great."
"Hn." Sasuke replied. Naruto gulped some more water, looking across the gym. Sasuke looked towards where Naruto was looking. The cheerleaders stood there, talking cheerfully to each other. Ino was yelling something loudly while the others were laughing.
Okay Sasuke should have seen that coming. What else could his best friend be looking at? Then he noticed something else. His best friend was looking at a specific cheerleader. She was standing facing them, laughing while her eyes closed. She looked very pretty. And she had midnight blue hair. Hinata.
"You like her." Sasuke stated, looking at his friend. Naruto flinched at being caught staring (Seriously? Trying being a little more discreet next time if you're trying to hide it). He was quiet for a moment, before nodding thoughtfully.
Sasuke did not whether to laugh or frown. His best friend had a crush on his fiancé.
He decided telling Naruto would be a bad idea. He might yell it to the whole school "accidently". Scratch that. He would definitely yell it out for the whole school to hear. And besides, the engagement would be broken by him soon and no one would ever find out.
"Have you told her?" Sasuke raised his eye brow. "Not yet." Naruto said, smiling a little again, waving back to Hinata who had just seen him looking at her and waved.
"Are you going to tell her?" Sasuke asked again, looking at him carefully.
"I don't know. Maybe." Naruto said. He honestly did not know if he should ask her out or something. She was super nice, helped him, and was pretty and smart. What else did he need?
"You should go for it." Sasuke said in a monotone "She's too popular for her own good. Somebody's bound to ask her out sometime."
"I noticed. I don't know if she likes me back or not." Naruto scratched the back of his head. Sasuke smirked at the sight of his loud best friend so nervous.
"Want me to be your wingman?" Sasuke asked him, smirking evilly. "You'd do that?" Naruto asked, shocked beyond anything. Why did Sasuke just say that?
"Eh, I can be nice." Sasuke shrugged "Of course you'd be doing something in return."
"What would that be?" Naruto asked, confused. He could not see anything Sasuke would need from him. He had a car, money, popularity and grades. And of course, the girls.
"I'll tell you that some other time. Do you agree?" Sasuke asked.
"It'll be pretty useful if you talk me up to Hinata-chan." Naruto said, grinning happily now. Sasuke smirked as he got up.
"Alright. See you later. I'm going to shower." He said as he walked off. He vaguely heard Naruto greet Hinata and Sakura. He smiled. Getting Naruto and Hinata to date would be a piece of cake.
_______________
"Hinata, you are so coming with us to hang out this weekend. We haven't hung out since the party." Ino said as she walked towards the bleachers with Sakura and Hinata. They were done with cheerleading practice since 20 minutes. Hinata had noticed Sasuke had left as soon as the session was over. Ino was really happy because her team was coordinating so well.
"Ino, I told you I have to go pick up Neji this weekend." Hinata replied, explaining for the hundredth time how her cousin was gone for a week and she had to make sure to pick him up this weekend because her father had instructed her to.
"How about next Saturday?" Sakura asked.
"Saturday could work..." Hinata said, looking at her pink haired friend and smiling. Sakura's emerald orbs were full of life right now and she looked very pretty.
"Great! We're going shopping next weekend. God knows how long it's been since I went to shop." Ino said, sighing dramatically.
"Ino, it was only last weekend." Sakura said, sweat dropping, because she was the one who had tagged along Ino and had regretted it. Her friend was a shopaholic and could seriously buy the whole market if she didn't have to carry it later.
"Really? I swear it seems longer." Ino said, looking at Sakura in a confused manner. Hinata giggled and Sakura rolled her eyes.
"Hinata chan!" someone called as they reached the bleachers. She looked to see Naruto smiling his foxy grin. She smiled involuntarily and walked over to him. "Hey Naruto. That was a good game."
"I know. It felt really good too." He said "You guys did good too." He said, looking at the three.
"I know, right? I'm so proud of my team." Ino said, hugging Sakura and Hinata. Sakura smiled too. "Naruto, all the boys left, don't you have to shower or something?" Sakura asked.
"I do. I just wanted to talk to Hinata before I left." Naruto said, focusing his gaze on Hinata, on which she blushed a little. The way he was looking at her made her feel important.
"You did, did you?" Ino said her tone meaningful. She smirked evilly and eyes Sakura who looked surprised. Pleasantly.
"Yeah, sure....um....have your....privacy." She said and nudged Ino who nudged Hinata. She stumbled and stepped a bit nearer Naruto.
Ino and Sakura walked off, leaving the gym to Hinata and Naruto. "So, um, Naruto-kun, what did you want to talk about?" Hinata asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and looking up at him. (He was also almost a head taller than her).
"Uh, ha ha" he said, smiling nervously. Hinata wondered what the matter was. "I was thinking maybe you'd like to hang out with me this Saturday." Naruto said, suddenly.
That was sudden. Hinata watched as he scratched the back of his head. "Are you asking me out?" she asked, in a state of disbelief.
"Yeah." he said, suddenly becoming serious. He eyed her expectantly. Like he expected her to shout at him or something.
"Of course. I'd love to." She said, smiling pleasantly.
"You would?" he asked. She nodded. He suddenly brightened up. "Great. I'll see you on Saturday, after the game, right?" he asked.
"You will." She assured him. "Alright then, I'd better go take that shower." He said. He walked off when she waved at him. Hinata stood there for a full 5 minutes after Naruto left, grinning that Naruto had asked her out.
Hinata decided she would take a shower at home. She decided to go change. She was changing into her uniform when she wondered where Sasuke was. He usually waited by her locker.
She changed in a rush and ran to her locker. He wasn't there. That meant he'd already be outside. Why wasn't he there? Did he leave her?
"Damn it." She said as she exchanged her books and rushed outside through the almost empty hallways of the school. She was suddenly stopped by someone.
"So...what did he say?" Ino's voice rang out as she held Hinata's shoulders. Sakura was leaning along the wall, looking smug.
"Ino, Sakura, I'm really sorry, I need to go. Sasuke will kill me." Hinata pleaded.
"Later? No way. And wait what? Sasuke...?" Sakura said, standing straight. She looked confused and so did Ino. Hinata decided telling their friends who had a crush on him, that she was his fiancé was not a very good idea.
She decided to skip the 'minor' details. "He's an old family friend. Neji's not around so he's going to have to pick and drop me this week".
"Kyaaa!" Sakura and Ino cried out. "You're so lucky." Sakura said, gushing over Sasuke and Ino added "And he's so hot."
Yup....not a good idea. "Okay, but you'll tell us what Naruto said later." Ino demanded.
"Of course." Hinata promised as she eyes them both pleadingly. Sakura huffed. "Fine go. But we will ask you later."
Hinata nodded gratefully as she shot them a quick goodbye and ran out to the parking lot. There were a few cars parked there but no Rai. Sasuke's car was gone. He had left her here. After all, she'd been almost really late.
Hinata mentally scolded herself. Now she would have to take the subway. And she would have to walk all the way there. "Serves me right for being late." She thought miserably as she turned around to go back and tell Sakura and Ino Sasuke had left her. She bumped into something hard.
"Ouch." She said as she stumbled back, being the petite thing she was. She was supported by someone. She heard a voice before she opened her eyes.
"Hinata."
____________
"I can't believe it...." Sakura exclaimed as Hinata retold them her tale.
"So after we stopped you in the hallways, you realized Sasuke had left you behind and you bumped into Itachi Uchiha?" Ino said her eyes wide in awe.
Hinata nodded. "He offered me a ride. Said he was there merely by coincidence." Hinata wasn't so sure about that. She had a strong suspicion Mikoto had something to do with it.
"Oh My God...Japan's youngest and most successful businessman gave you a ride home and you're acting like it was nothing?" Ino yelled into Hinata's ear.
"Yeah, because he's also a family friend." Hinata replied, as she walked along them towards her locker. She had just come out of economy class, where she had succeeded in ignoring Sasuke like she did in the morning when he came to get her. What a brat, leaving her behind like that. But it was not entirely his fault.
"Damn...I wish I had family friends like that." Sakura sighed.
"No shit." Ino said, sighing dreamily.
"So you guys like Sasuke and his brother?" Hinata raised her eyebrow.
"We just think he's handsome." Ino said, giggling in a dreamy manner. Sakura followed suit and Hinata sighed in defeat.
"Anyways, I have business class with Hidan now, so excuse me." Hinata said, making her way to her locker. "The crazy priest guy who curses a lot?" Ino asked.
"And who wears sexy leather jackets?"Sakura supplied.
"The one and only." Hinata smiled. Or tried to. It wasn't as if she was bad at business class but Hidan sensei could be a bit intimidating and vulgar at times.
"Alright...see you later." Sakura said.
"Yeah and I can't wait for your date with sunshine." Ino said, referring to Naruto. Hinata shook her head and turned to her locker, only for her to bump into someone again.
"Kami, don't you ever look where you're going?" Sasuke's voice asked her, a little irritably.
She said nothing, she just glared at him before picking her books and stepping aside and walking determinedly towards her locker. Sasuke shook his head.
It wasn't his damn fault she was late. So what? He got mad. Big deal. Did his mother have to send Itachi to get her from his make out session with his girlfriend? And Sasuke got a scolding too. She was such a damn bother.
On top of all that, his fan girls were driving him crazy. Someone had posted a new picture of him shirtless on this fucking stalker blog the fangirls had.
He was pissed. Damn right he was. He watched as she exchanged books from her locker.
He made his way towards her locker, avoiding the people going by. "What the fuck is your problem?" he hissed, angrily. He seriously did not need this right now. Not like he cared if she was mad or not, but he knew later it would just end up annoying him more.
"My problem?" she asked, as if he was the one to blame. "Yeah." he said, rolling his eyes in annoyance. "You're the one who left me there yesterday."
"You were fucking late." He said in an angry tone. She was not the little princess and he was not her servant or something.
"I'm sorry I didn't remember because apparently, you didn't tell me you would drive off instead of coming back to my locker like you do when you give me a lift. I'm sorry Sakura and Ino stopped me. And I'm also sorry Naruto asked me out so I had to wait instead of running outside." She said chewing her words.
That was her excus-wait.....Naruto asked her out? Already? Whoa...that was fast. But that was how his friend usually did things. Did Kiba and Suigetsu know this? This would crush them. Sasuke almost smirked at the thought.
"Not valid excuses enough." Sasuke shrugged "I'm doing you a favor, don't be a bother."
Hinata was calm till now but now she snapped. What did he think he was? She didn't need his stupid favors. "Fine...I DON'T NEED YOU TO DRIVE ME ANYMORE." She said and walked away from him towards the class they both shared. Did she have to be so rude?
Sasuke smirked as he looked outside. It was grey and cloudy again. The weather reports had predicted that this whole week would be rainy and stormy in Konoha. She'd change her mind till the time school was over. He walked to class in a relatively good mood. After all, he was Sasuke Uchiha, an egoistic bastard, as Naruto called him.
________________
Hinata had to have the worst luck in the world. She was so learning to drive as soon as Neji came back. She had never appreciated just how much his simple gesture of driving her around meant. She even forgave him for the engagement thing whole heartedly.
It was only his second day gone and she already missed his car. And him. Of course him too. She called him didn't she?
Right now, she was walking in the rain. Again. Déjà vu? Yeah. Naruto was sick and hadn't come to school today (she hoped it would not affect his game later. Not to mention their date). Ino's current boyfriend, Itsuki had come to pick her up and Sakura had some business with Principal Tsunade. Hinata had decided to take the subway and just as she had stepped outside, it had started raining.
She didn't feel comfortable asking anyone else to give her a ride because everyone was in a rush to leave because of the storm. The lightening lit up the dark sky and Hinata flinched. She was already thoroughly soaked and she hadn't even reached half the distance for the subway yet.
She had seen Sasuke eye her warily before she walked off to her class. She had not waited for him to come into the parking lot and look at her with a smirk because she was sure her resolve would break and she would accept his offer for a ride.
No more favors from him, she decided, no matter what Mikoto says. She sighed as she trembled from the cold again.
'This is going to be a long walk home' Hinata thought as she watched an unfortunate boy, also caught up in the rain walking in his rain coat, look at her with pity.
_____________
So, the princess had an attitude after all. Sasuke drove away from school with the thought in mind. He'd seen Hinata before the last period and after school was over, he had waited for her to walk out, but she never appeared.
He waited for about 10 minutes before deciding it was not worth it. She must have gotten a ride from one of her friends. He shrugged and drove off.
Right now, he was driving home, passing through the downtown. Why was it raining so much in Konoha anyways? Maybe it was because she had moved here. He knew it was childish but it was a thought nonetheless.
It looked like it was already night. He was glad he had his own car. He looked at the sidewalk as he saw a guy walk quickly, in a drenched raincoat and a tired expression.
Must be hard walking in the rain, Sasuke smirked idly. Yes, he was a sadistic bastard. He was going to look away when he spotted another person walking in the rain. Oh yeah, another victim of the rain. He smirked.
Until he caught sight of dark hair and a pale skinned girl, walking alone, thoroughly wet. Why did her figure seem so familiar? It almost looked like...
No way. She was stupid but not this much. She knew better.
She....was a dumb idiot who was walking in the rain, trembling with cold, drenched thoroughly.
Of course, why wouldn't she walk in the rain again? He sighed. Why did he have to be the one who found her like this every time?
He was tempted to just drive by, as she had been the one who had ignored his offer for a ride, but he also knew his mom would kill him if she found out.
There was also the fact that no matter how much of a bastard he was, he took care of what was his. And right now, Hinata was his responsibility.
He stopped the car on the sidewalk. He saw her stop as she recognized his car. He saw her just stand there dumbly. He hoped she was smart enough to take the offer and know he had stopped to offer her a ride. She just stood there.
He took a deep breath and rolled down his window. "Get in." Why did she have to be so slow?
"No thank you." She replied as she started walking again, ignoring him completely. Did she just say no to the ride he had so graciously offered? What a little....
"I said get in." It was a matter of his ego now. How dare she?
"No." she said and walked off. Sasuke growled and got out of the car. He took a few long strides and caught up to Hinata. He grabbed her arms roughly and turned her around. Something snapped inside him as he saw her annoyed expression.
His eyes saw red and he decided it was too much. She was more of a bother than she was worth. She had been forced on him on more than one ways. His partner in school, a cheerleader at practice, as his fiancé. He had had enough of her already.
"Get inside the damn car right now!" He growled like a feral animal. The look on his face was like a wild animal. Ready to pounce on prey. Hinata's eyes widened. Why was he so angry?
She took a deep breath and tried to talk again. "Sasuke, I can manage on my own. Leave me alone." She said, trying to wriggle out of his grip. His grip tightened and as she tried to break free, he pinned her against the wall forcefully. She whimpered.
"I will drag you by your hair if I have to. Get. In. The. Fucking. Car." He chewed each word and, Hinata noticed his eyes were red suddenly. It terrified her. But they were also so beautiful. A red and black pattern. Like a flower.
She noticed that they were both standing in the rain, soaked to the skin. He was staring into her eyes intently, his eyes full of anger, annoyance and tiredness. They stood there for a long time, in silence, aside from the pattering of rain, looking at the other's eyes, until she broke the silence.
"I'm coming." She whispered. Somehow, her fiancé wasn't as calm as he let on. She honestly knew refusing him now would be synonymous to committing suicide.
He stood there for a few more moments. Then he turned and got into his car, wiping his hair away from his face. She looked at his retreating back before following him to the car. She shivered. And not because she was cold.
She didn't want to be alone with him anymore. Did he have anger management issues? What was wrong with his eyes?
He started the car, turning the heater on. She removed her hair from her eyes. She looked over to him, where he was solely focused on the road, as if she was not even there. She kept looking until he looked over at her, with a blank face.
His eyes were obsidian as ever. Jet black. She looked away. He did not say anything and neither did she. The only sound was the rain falling on the car screens. The storm thundered and Hinata flinched a little.
Sasuke noticed her flinch. He still did not want to talk to her. He knew the way he had acted was wrong and he had frightened her but it wasn't like it had been his choice. Something inside him had just...snapped.
He drove to her house in silence and stopped outside her house. "Thank you." She said in a whisper and took her bag pack and looked at him from her spot before moving.
He didn't trust himself to say anything when he was so wet, tired and annoyed all because of her. She opened the door and stepped outside. She opened the small iron gates leading into the lush garden, currently filling with rain water.
He watched her walk and just as he was about to look away and drive to his house to get changed and relax, he saw her collapse on the gravel path. He just sat there, blinking dumbly for a moment, before realization of what happened hit him.
He hurriedly opened the door of his car and almost ran outside. She was lying on the gravel path on her side, the rain drops falling on her hard and fast. Her bag was by her side and her books were spilling out.
He leaned down and pulled her into his arms. "Hinata?" He asked, a little panicked, as he gently touched her face with his hand. She didn't respond.
He carried her to the house entrance bridal style and dumped her bag in the patio. There was a lock there, which required a fingerprint or something. Sasuke sighed, wondering if his luck could get any worse.
He touched Hinata's finger to the screen and there was a clicking sound, indicating the locked door had opened. The door was smooth and wooden. Sasuke pushed it open, carrying her inside. The inside was decorated beautifully.
The floors were wooden and there were glass windows here and there. There were potted plants and a hallway. The first thing Sasuke stepped into was a lounge. There was an expensive L-shaped couch with cushions and there was a plasma screen huge ass television on the wall.
The floor had rugs and everything looked expensive from the paintings to the curtains. Sasuke did not have any time to stop and wonder, neither did he have the need. For once, he was already filthy rich and the other, he had an unconscious and wet fiancé in his arms.
He climbed the wooden stairs and was faced with many rooms in a hallway. There was another floor but he hoped her room was here. He saw a 'do not disturb' sign on a door and opened it, only to see katanas and shuriken decorated on the walls. Nope. She definitely did not own this room. Neji maybe.
He walked ahead and opened another door, finding a room painted lilac and white, a soothing combination. He walked inside and looked at the queen sized bed, which had purple and off white sheets, pillows and cushions. Hinata was dripping wet.
He placed her on her bed, wincing as she trembled from his lack of warmth. He touched her forehead, which was burning. Why the hell were there no servants in this place? Who even took care of the house?
"Hinata.." he tried to shake her awake. She was still unconscious. Damn it. She needed to change her clothes so she would not get a fever. He was most certainly not doing that. He felt heat creep onto his face at the very thought. He shook his head at some very inappropriate images.
He needed to either wake her up or call someone else to help her out. His first thought was Sakura. He dialed her number. It rang a few times before going to voicemail. His thoughts turned from anger and annoyance to those of slight concern.
"Damn it." He muttered to himself before calling Ino. The result was the same. Okay he had run out of female contacts. Unless....he couldn't call his mother, could he?
"Hinata?" he asked, shaking her again. She furrowed her brows, before opening her eyes. He almost yelled with relief.
"S-Sasuke?" she asked. She tried sitting up, too stunned to do anything. What the hell? How had she ended up in her room? She remembered walking towards her house in the rain after getting out of the car.
"You fainted." Sasuke informed her. "Change before you die." Was he actually concerned? No he wasn't. He was a jerk. She tried her best to look angry and replied. "Okay. You can go." She said.
"You should probably thank me." He said.
"For getting me messed up in the first place?" she asked. She wasn't scared of him suddenly. In fact, she should be scaring him right now.
"I did not get you into the mess." He said, crossing his arms. She was such a drag.
"Why did you help me?" she asked, angrily getting up from her bed with that adrenaline rush. Why was he acting so nonchalant and arrogant?
"Maybe because I'm a very nice person." He suggested snidely, raising his eye brows in mock.
"Don't give me that bullshit. Your mom would kill you otherwise, wouldn't she?" she suddenly hit upon why he had been so insistent on helping her.
"I'm not scared of my mother." He said "I didn't do it because of her."
Rest assured, his mother was the best and whatever, but she was seriously scary when she was mad. He and Itachi made sure not to activate that particular mood of hers in which there was a chance they might die. Hell, even their father was scared of her temper when she was mad.
But however much she scared him, he'd helped Hinata of his own will.
"Yeah right." She rolled her eyes and took off her shoes while glaring at him. He looked at her with a haughty expression. He was not going to take her shoes off her while she was unconscious.
She stripped out of her socks and walked over to the bathroom. She stopped by the door and raised her eyebrow. "You can go now Uchiha, I need to change." She said, as if it that that obvious.
"Right." He said, sighing as he realized he was also wet. He walked downstairs, thinking how ungrateful Hinata Hyuga was and how he'd be damned if he ever did his mother a favor like driving her around, ever again.
He was still a little concerned over his show of anger on the road. He had literally seen red and had felt ready to kill the petite girl. He couldn't help it. She was just so damn annoying. He stopped as he realized he might have awakened his sharingan for the very first time.
Okay, so maybe he didn't believe in sharingan a few years back until he saw it. There was a legend about the Uchiha. It was said that Uchiha possessed extreme emotions. They were a bit (a lot) possessive, jealous and territorial.
When an Uchiha is consumed by any intense emotion, his sharingan activates. The emotion can be excitement, love, lust, hatred, anger, happiness, shock etc. it just has to be intense. The legend was that it was like this because of Uchiha blood. The first Uchiha leader, Madara had activated it when he had fallen in love with Uzumaki Mito, his best friend and rival's fiancé.
The last part however was a secret Uchiha legend and no wonder Uchihas didn't like to spread it around. Sasuke had heard it on a family reunion, getting stuck with one of the elders and some other unfortunate teens.
His initial thought had been 'how stupid' when he learnt that the sharingan originated because the first leader had fallen in love. He had slipped away from the group to run to the cooler cousins i.e Obito and Shisui and had never ever listened to the story again. Whenever it was mentioned, he would run.
He had never seen a sharingan until he saw Itachi, who saw Izumi dressed like a proper woman for the first time. Itachi had been 15 and Sasuke, 9. Itachi's sharingan had activated when he saw her on a family reunion, dressed in a red dress and then his eyes had turned red.
Sasuke wondered what was wrong with his brother. Later, he had learnt the story as a 13 year old boy. Now, he was kinda ashamed because his own brother's sharingan had shown because of.....a girl. And now, his own, also because of a girl. But not the typical reason, it was just anger. Intense anger.
The sharingan however only showed sometimes and the Uchihas were adamant to preserve it by marrying third cousins or clan members. Itachi and Izumi were also clan members, if not third cousins.
He peeled off his jacket as he walked through the living room, slowly. Suddenly, something hit him on the head from behind. What the...?
He turned around to see Hinata in a long lavender robe with a curt expression on her face. "You're wet." She said as he realized the object he had been hit with was a jacket. A jacket. It was too big to be her jacket. It must be Neji's, he thought.
"How considerate." He said, sarcastically, as he pulled it on. He felt better immediately.
"Just because I'm kind to everyone. Even you." She said.
"People like me? Just who do you think you are? I helped you, for your information." He said, and noticed she looked very....appealing in that robe. Her figure was accentuated and she looked like a creature from another world right now, in the dim light.
"Thanks then." She spat and turned to go.
He huffed and slammed the door on his way out.
"She is so annoying."
